A Trip to Eden - Vengeance meets Mercy

The African nation of Eden, hidden from the naked human eye, is one of prosperity. The population is built almost entirely of metahumans looking for average lives. Among them is their queen, Mercy. Ruling with love and compassion, Mercy is highly popular among the people of Eden. Many consider her one of the greatest monarchs the nation has ever had. But Mercy isn't without her days. Since winning the tournament of champions and becoming queen, she's taken on many responsibilities that even she isn't sure she is prepared for.

Mercy walks through the Edenian city one evening calmly, greeting the locals that wave to her as she passes. She sees many old friends and returns their kind gestures with bright smiles. She then stops and kneels down to the local children that all crowd around her, patting some on the head, kissing others on the cheek, and even entertaining others with childish games or jokes. The parents all take their children by the hand and pull them along as Mercy says goodbye. But as she says goodbye her face darkens and she turns around, seeing a young african woman with a crystal spear standing there (In The comic, one of Mercy's avisors, Naeteri AKA Maverick). The young woman approaches Mercy and points toward the gates with her spear, informing her of an apparent entry attempt to which Mercy goes to investigate.
