Mercy & The Overseers

A man in a black suit approaches a building with a silver briefcase on a rainy night. He knocks on the door of a downtown appartment and a shady man cracks the door, examining the figure behind it. The man's black suit and solid black shades as well as his earpiece scream government, a sign to which the jumpy man inside doesn't respond well to. "What're you? You with the FBI? The CIA? I knew it. I knew that one day someone was going to just barge in and take all of my-"

"Doctor Sanduski, I am Agents Harmon with A.M.M.O. Your research concerning the paranormal, it's considered very...profound. We would like you to come with us. Do not worry, your research will be secure and equipment will be provided to you."

"Wha-"

"Doctor Sanduski, please just come with us."


One night many years earlier, a young girl awakens on the edge of the jungle in a boat. She is no older than seven. Her arms and legs tremble as tears trail down her round cheeks. Wandering into the unfamiliar territory, she hears the rustling of bushes and tree limbs. A jungle native beast may very well soon prey on this unsuspecting girl. But before it can pounce, an arrow strikes it through the skull, killing it instantly. An old man then emerges from behind several trees and bends down to the girl. He smiles andpicks her up, placing her on his shoulders as he asks questions of her.


Years later, the girl is nearly grown when she finds her adoptive father in the forest, an arcane circle at his feet and fire rising from the ground. He turns around, surprised by her presence and at that moment, lightning strikes him. The portal brought forth by the ritual had drawn in a fiery demon but with the rituat interrupted, both the demon and the portal fade away. As they do, the many seems to burst into nothingness as a flash of incredible light, creating a pulse which throws the girl back into the bushes.


Agent Harmon and Dr. Sanduski arrive at a hidden A.M.M.O base hidden within Africa. All around are black trucks and men operating advanced equipment. Harmon's men get Sanduski out of the car and show him to his facility. Inside, he is introduced to something incredible. "This, Doctor, we believe is something right up your alley. We've asked plenty of bigger names but you, by far, are the only one for this task," Harmon says as he presents a video screen to Sanduski.

"What's so special about that?" Sanduski asks.

"It's the answer to many of the world's problems," Agent Harmon responds as they gaze upon the frozen recorded image of the jungle girl, zoomed in over the blade and book of magic tied around her waist as she picks berries from a wild bush.


The girl finds herself surrounded by men in black suits and shades, all with firearms hidden. She narrows her eyes and stands defensively. "No need for that ma'am. If you're cooperate and give us the sword and book on your waist, my men and I will be on our way. I know you speak english as well so doin't give us a hard time please." But as soon as the girl slides the grip of her blade into hr hand, Harmon sighs. "They just love making my job difficult." The agents all open fire on the girl with tranquilizers and she begins deflecting them with her blade before leaping over the wall of them, still using her blade as a shield by spinning it in her hand. From there, she disappears into the trees but one agent shoots the rope tie around her waist and the book falls, much to her dismay as she continues without any choice.

On a late night, Sanduski studies the book from within the facility. Suddenly he grows frustrated by the lack of results and punches into a keyboard. He's horribly electricuted but that combined with the magic of the book somehow melds together into something new. It turns into an aura. Harmon barges into the room, seeing that the other agents have taken cover as electricity now violently jolts throughout the room before Sanduski drops to the floor, his body emiting a reddish aura. "By god," Harmon says as he flips open a cellphone only to find a strange interference. "What?"


The girl lands on a turret and slices through it with her blade, blown back by the resulting explosion. She lands on her feet just in front of the facility and throws the blade, skillfully disabling two A.M.M.O guards as they approach, guns blazing.


She drop kicks a man in a safari jeep as he aims to kill her with a shotgun. She then throws him over the side of the jeep and lifts the driver by his collar, holding the blade to his throat.


Agent Harmon shoot his firearm from around a corner but the weapon is suddenly tossed from his hand by a pulse of red hot energy.


Sanduski peers into a mirror within the facility, seeing for the first time that his eyes seem yellow. He sweats nervously them looks closely at what appeared to be steam rising from his body. "What the-"
