Cockroach [WIP]

I just need to write a roleplay sample and I'll be finished. If it's all the same I've already made my own power grid, so when my character is approved I'll post it. (Just trying to save time.)

Costume Description/Image: Allan's super suit is of a simple yet effective design. It is sturdy yet flexible (not designed for protection since Allan's mutant form possesses natural durability) and is short sleeved, gloveless, and bootless to allow it to be worn under street clothes, and to maximize ventilation. It can shrink and expand to allow Allan to switch forms comfortably. Two slits in the back allow Allan's second pair of arms to grow and retract freely. Cockroach's "Icon of Protection", a shield-like symbol, is printed on the front of his suit.

Personality: Allan is an easy-going, laid-back sort of guy. He's sophisticated but not snobbish, charming but not abnormally attractive. He is much more aggressive while in his mutant form, not because it affects his mind somehow, but because it gives him the muscles to back up his mouth. Above all he is extremely protective, even of total strangers. He can't stand seeing the meek and helpless get pushed around, and will always stand up for what he knows to be right.

History: As a child growing up in Los Angeles, Allan's role-models were with out a doubt his parents. He loved them more than anything (still does) and looked up to them for inspiration and guidance (still does). His father was a firefighter and taught his son ethics, values, and heroism, while his mother was a nurse and taught him kindness, generosity, and empathy. Allan showed signs of almost superhuman intelligence early on and became a scientist specializing in numerous areas. Just when his career was really beginning to take off, his curiosity, unfortunately, got the better of him. He injected himself with a mutagen he had created, and it had almost the exact effect on him he had intended. While it gifted him with energy reserves which allowed him to morph into a being of superhuman strength, durability, and speed, it dulled his wits--permanently. Fortunately he was so intelligent already that he was still "smart" by the average person's standards, but not outstandingly so, as he had been. The mutagen also caused energy reserves to form in his back which he quickly learned he could use to grow an extra pair of arms, converting them back into energy reserves at will.

Allan realized he could no longer work as a scientist without his former intelligence and he quickly fell into depression, drinking and eating for comfort. He lost his apartment, most of his possessions, and entire career. He began living with his parents, concealing his mutations from them out of shame. However, they soon caught him experimenting with his second pair of arms in his bedroom and, after the initial shock had worn off, he explained to them everything that had happened. While they were both in their fifties and retired, they promised to help him in any way they could. While they mostly provided moral support, they gave him a little bit of cash to get him back on his feet. He found an apartment and began working as a cab driver, always remaining in his human form. However, his father helped him realize that his powers were a gift, not a curse, and that he should use them to help people, which is exactly what he decided to do. At first he simply walked the streets at night in street clothes and a ski mask, but he soon realized that he looked like a big, scary, freakish thug, and he only scared those he saved. So he paid for three custom suits to be made, his super suits, and now he always wears one under his street clothes, ready to spring into action as "Cockroach, mutant superhero" whenever he sees trouble. In the meantime, he is "Allan Decker, human taxi driver", heroically saving the citizens of Los Angeles time and energy.

Powers: Allan is an ordinary man most of the time, but he has the ability to take on a mutant form. In this form he is larger, more muscular, and his physical abilities become superhuman. Allan also has the ability to grow two arms out of his back almost instantaneously, whether in his full mutant form or not. He has trained himself in an advanced combat form incorporating his second pair of arms and using them to their full potential. He is also able to sense movements with a sixth sense, allowing him to fight opponents behind him with his second pair of arms. He cannot, however, sense extremely subtle or detailed movements such as facial expressions.

Mutant Form Power Grid:

Allan, while in peak physical condition due to the strenuous physical activity he engages in while in mutant form, is still non-superhuman in his abilities while in human form. Cockroach, on the other hand, is unmistakably superhuman. So this grid only applies to Allan in his mutant form.

I'm not a mod but I like this character. I've always been interested in multiple arms. Anyways, I think everything looks out OK except for one thing...If you can transform, like change stats and all, that's 2 EP. However, it's possible that due to the nature of this transformation it may be free. If not, I'd suggest something like I did...have the same stats in both forms but have better control of your powers in the mutant form.

I really like this character. You may wish to make a separate grid for your normal form, but otherwise I feel that it can be checked by the mods.

Firstly; Welcome to the site :3

Secondly; Yup you'll need a second grid for your mutant form - just remember the INT needs to stay the SAME or it needs to go to 0 which is basic animal instincts. Just to let you know ^-^

Thirdly; only issue I have is with the FS - that's only because I don't know how he got that high. 5 FS is:

5 - Superhuman - Your skill is beyond human limits. You've mastered at least one or more fighting styles, or maybe you have learned a few styles to supplement the one you've mastered. Your muscles move faster than your mind, your reaction time is faster than thought and a normal person would be hard pressed to even land a punch on you.

So either just add in to his history that he had lessons or something after they gave him the cash, to get himself back on his feet he enrolled at a martial arts class. Also, it isn't necessary but it might benefit you if you pick one of the fighting skills - it'll be really useful in RP rights for you =D It'll give you a great upper hand.
