It came out of the cuff? Well that seemed plausible to him. After all his mother was a witch, rats crawling from cuffs was not impossible. In fact it seemed all too possible to him. So he didn't think her one bit crazy. Though her reactions were a bit over done if you ask him. No need to yell ,and all that. Though Sean didn't complain to her. Though he did have to oddest urge to drink. Not a powerful one, but an urge nontheless. It was new to him to want to drink this early in the day. Most people told him not to drink so much, but he had an idea his body wouldn't be affected by alcohol like a normal persons is. "So if your ready, we can go hang out now. I'm getting kinda bored. Maybe we can go look at some clothes?"

Alice stared at Sean for a moment... well that was.... a.... well... it was a complete lack of reaction really. Well... best not to look a gift horse in the mouth. "Yeah... I'm ready...." she nodded slightly, still clutching at the rat as she unconciously petted it. The rat snapped at her.

"I am not a pet."

"You're a rat that won't leave my side... so yes you are."

It snapped at her again, this time, biting Alice's finger. "OW!" she hit the rat on the head, sucking on the bleeding bite. "Damn it, I hope it doesn't get infected. Male laughter sounded in her head, causing her to hit the rat again though it didn't seem to affect the animal. It sure made her feel better though.

Well he was tired of all this nothing doing. It wore somewhat on the lirrle nerves he had after the past few weeks. Sean wanted to do something fun. Something to draw his mind from his asshole father. Which was harder than one might think. Though a rousing day of clothing shopping always did the trick for him. So with a slight motion for her to follow him. Sean turned to walk to the nearest store he cared to look through. Which had some things he had been looking for. Well actually it had exactly what he needed. In the end of it he picked out six shirts, and six pairs of his favorite brand of tight jeans. Paying with money he "aquired" through questionable means. Walking out with the three large bags at his side. Dangling from his fingers precarioulsy. "hmm next i'm considering a trim." He said absentmindedly. Not really thinking Alice to be listening to him. As his eyes spotted a perfect place just for that.

He was right.... she had completely tuned him out at that point. She DID NOT like shopping in the least, and the only thing keeping her there was the fact that he was... ehhhhh, kinda her friend... one of her only friends since she had moved here. Her eyes moved around the mall, seeing, yet not seeing at the same time. She absentmindedly stroked the rat, who was surprisingly well behaved. "Yeah.... wait what?" her eyes refocused, her gaze turning to Sean.

Overall he was having a pleasant day. Got some new clothes. Which he needed considering he had to wear the same thing for about four days. Thats when you know you need new clothes. That and with all the heroing he had been doing, Over half of the clothes he had were torn to hell anyway. So a nice change would do. Slowly he nibbled on his lower lip. Hand patting over the wallet in his left butt pocket. When he heard Alice finally reply to his gibber. She wasn't even listening to him? Well that was really polite. For those who don't know,that was sarcasm. Though he put on a minor smile. Fingers running along the ends of his bangs. They sure felt rough. "As I said before, i'm in need of a trim. You don't have to follow me if you don't want to." He reached into his wallet pulling out a hundred and a twenty. Handing them to Alice nonchalantly. "If you don't want to follow me there. You can go occupy yourself. Meet me here about one hour from now." He said plainly. Slapping the money into Alices hand. Then going to do what he planned. Bag still hanging between his index and middle finger lazily.

Alice stared at the money that was slapped into her hand... "Wait... HEY!" By then though, he had disappeared into the crowd... the crowd that was now staring at her. Smiling sheepishly, she walked off, putting some distance between them. Stopping in front of a smoothie shop, she stared at the money in her hand. "Great.... what am I supposed to do now?" Shrugging, she stuck the cash in her pocket and took out her own wallet... she was going to try and not use it. Buying herself a smoothie she sipped at it as she wandered through the mall... what to do, what to do... back to the bookstore then.

Satisfied Sean made his way to the salon thing. Greeted by the warm smiling faces of the staff. Which was strangely out of place, but he just brushed it off. Giving one of his charismatic smiles. As he payed for a cut, and coloring. Which didn't cut as much as he thought into his slowly dwindling budget. Though he had plenty to return to New York. Then back to his wonderful life as a thief. Which would be somewhat easier hopefully. Though now was time to relax. Which he did as he reclined into one of the chairs. The time seemed to go by faster than he realized. Before he knew it the whole process was done.

Sean ran his fingers over his trimmed and dyed hair. Looking into one of the large mirrors in the place of business. The bans were still int he "emo" style he enjoyed. Though it was easier to see his grayish eyes. Also the hair was now a dark brown instead of black. Even though he kinda missed his natural hair color. Sean liked this one to. So satisfied he walked out bags in hand. Seeing Alice looking through he bookstore. Walking up to her in a brisk pace. "Sorry it took so long. So anywhere you care to go?" He raised an eyebrow waiting for an answer.

Alice sighed, deeply absorbed in the book she was reading, barely even noticing the world around her. She had hidden herself in one of the more... isolated corners of the book store to read, somewhere where people wouldn't notice a giant rat reading over her shoulder. She sighed, closing the covers of the book she had just finished reading. She quickly threw it in the "Already Read" section before blindly groping at the "Need to Read" section, only to find it empty, bare, finished.

Alice let out a huff, a bit annoyed at the lack of books within her easy grasp. With another big sigh, she heaved herself to a standing position, grumbling all the time about her reading speed as she headed for the teen book section. There were some novels she had planned on looking at if she had time... which it seemed she did. "Let's see... where is i--- Huh? Oh, hey Sean." she waved slightly before turning back to the books, a second later, she paused. "Wait.... what happened to your hair!? It's all.... brown!" she peered at the new cut and color, deciding that it wasn't too bad, brought out his eyes atleast. "Not bad... not bad..." she nodded sagely before thinking over the barely heard question he issued.

"Ummmm... well..... a new store just opened, it's one of those exotic places, ya know, with the sari's and stuff.." she adjusted the straps of her drawstring bag to make it more comfortable. "Wanna go there?" She then realized that there was no longer a weight on her shoulders, "Hey... where did he... ah." she noticed that the engraving was back on the cuff, seemed it was tired of running around. She felt a feeling of affirmation in her head. "Ok... back to whatever corner you came from." she "rebuilt" her mental walls, "Now where were we?" she asked, looking at Sean again.

Well her reaction was expected. Especially since he decided to just change his hair color without so much as a warning. Yett hat was just how he worked in his little odd way. Some would call him eccentric. Except from what he knew only rich people could be eccentric. So he just prefered the term crazy. "Yeah I guess it is. Thought it would look better brown." He said in a sort of calm tone. Fingers intertwinning as he looked over the books for a second. Not really planning to buy one, but just to look. Then she said somethign about a new place that had opened up. It caught his interest enough. "Yeah that sounds fun." He answered slightly enthusiastic. Bags in his hands as they shifted."Lead the way"

Alice gave a slight bow before slipping back into the crowded mall, threading and slipping her way through the crowd. She was excited to say the least, remembering that she had wanted to check out the store for a LONG time now. Life... so busy... She soon found herself in front of the store, waiting for Sean to appear, maybe she had gone a bit too fast... maybe... or maybe he was behind her laughing right now. Alice shrugged before looking up at the store name, "Earthbound..." she muttered, twisting the cuff on her arm idely. As she did so, the gem glowed slightly before the rat appeared again. It climbed up to her shoulder, peering into the shop.

"What is this place?"

Alice glanced at the rat, "What do you think? It's Earthbound, purveyer of exotic and micillanious products." It seemed to nod before jumping to the ground and scrambling inside quickly. "HEY! WAIT!" she started after it before stopping suddenly in her tracks. Deciding that he'd come back on his own... wait... he? Since when... "Urghhhhh.... fml." she muttered.

Sean trailed behind Alice at an agreeable pace, slightly amused at her speed. As his fingers absently felt over his newly dyed hair with a sort of neutral expression coming over him. Thinking over an unimportant thing as they approached where Alice wanted to look over soon enough. His eyes looking at the front entrance with an interested gaze. "Earthbnound eh? Looks interesting." Sean muttered to himself as he waked up to the stores entrance slowly, yet with a pace. Curious of what they sold there, while he idly played with the hem of his pants.

"Yeah, I heard this place is great!" Alice said enthusiastically as she followed Sean in. "They sell everything from hermit crabs to masquerade masks. They even have samuri swords!" She laughed slightly before suddenly letting out a small, "Gack!". She backed away from a creepy looking statue just inside the doorway. "That... that is just weird." she muttered, shuddering slightly before continuing her way into the store. As she glanced around, her smile widened, it was everything she had heard.

Alice idmediatly ran over to the sword section, pulling out a dulled katana. The sign next to the sword display simply said, "Break it. Buy it." That was great. Swinging it around a few times, she smiled, pretending to cut into a random enemy. She was obviously having fun.
