It's all about the Money! (Invite Only)

Ghruk had been on the run for two days now. The crab man only knew fear, it didn't understand anything about the situation it was in. All it knew was that predators consistently tried to kill him wherever he went. The French military, bounty hunters and mercenaries frequently spotted him and opened fire hoping to claim the ridiculously large sum of $50,000. He was wanted dead, but his meat unharmed. See, he was genetically engineered specifically for the sole purpose of being eaten. However, he was only worth that much if his meat was unharmed, making the kill much more difficult to obtain.

The large creature ran at a high speed through a park in Strasbourg. Unknown where to go, or where to hide from those that seek to harm him.

Rush and Slick needed help to set Hurricane free. He was captured by the Black Knight and they had no method of knowing where the hero's main base was. So instead they were going to try another method. The first step was getting more help. While watching the news they found their newest potential, a character that could serve their purpose. While he was no metahuman, he was more of a freak of nature. He still was a fearsome creature, they didn't have anyone in their roster with his kind of strength. The difficult part would be to restrain him to serve them.

"What do you think?" said Rush to Slick.

"He's uncontrollable, how are we supposed to get him on our side? He can't speak english. We can't communicate. Not to mention, we'd need to get help from the mercs too." Slick replied. He was doubtful of the untamed beast.

"My thoughts were to try and tame it. It'd be more like a pet than anything. If we can get him on our side, we can easily get Hurricane back. Think about it!"

Slick shrugged. "Worth a shot, I suppose..."

It was a pleasent day. She had been sent to France for a test misson. A simple one at that. To capture a giant crab monster. It was considered to be highly dangerous. Exacty what she needed. A test of her true powers. Though she was told not to kill it, or eat it. Which didn't sit well with her. Always did want to taste crab meat. Just not today. That annoyed her greatly. Yet she didn't let her makers know.

She wore her usual outfit. A simple white shirt with a flowery pattern. Comfy blue jeans that flared out at the end, and simple leather sandals. Hair long and flowing like silver. Matching her eyes. To most she looked eight years old. When in reality she was eighteen. While she was walking the streets of looking for any signs of the crab beast she heard a noise.

It was a woman screaming in terror. She went to see what it was. Mostly due to boredom. It was a petty robbery. Something she didn't bother to mess with. Then the thug turned her way. While he did she thought. "Do the thugs always look the same no matter where you go?" He spat something in French. She didn't know what it meant, but it annoyed her. She walked up to him. With an icy glare. The man feeling threatened for some reason pulled out a knife and held it in front of him. Smiling she oponed her mouth wide. Taking a huge bire from the knife. The sound of metal crunching as she chewed. Then swallowing as if it were nothing. "You've wasted my time." She said in soft voice. Grabbing the man by the arm. Flinging him against the wall hard. Taking pleasure as she heard his bones break.

With that she left the allyway. As the woman screamed for something in French. Though that scream was cut short. She decided to silence her. Bringing her fist hard agianst her head. Causing it to burst into a mess of gore. She licked the blood off. Walking down the street once again. looking for the crab. Knowing that sooner or later she would find it. Nothing escaped from Project Gluttony.

A tank was in the middle of the street, patrolling the area. Ghruk didn't recognize what it was or even acknowledge it. He ran in the middle of the street while a crazed mob chased him with whatever weapons they could find hoping to claim a portion of the reward. As soon as the tank rotated its cannon to aim at Ghruk, the mob scattered. When they were a safe distance away, the tank fired blasting Ghruk in the chest. The explosion caused the grotesque creature to fly backwards screeching. It slammed its back against the pavement and twitched.

Getting up to his feet, the tank repositioned its aim. Ghruk roared and then took off in a zig-zag pattern. The tank fired off rounds, causing explosions to slam against the road. The crab man leapt forward at the tank and grasped the large barrel with its claws and clipped the steel off the tank like a pair of scissors. It then slammed both of its large claws down on the tank, causing the front of the tank to flip up over Ghruk's head and land behind him in flames. He looked around before taking off running again, the mob gave up on him after witnessing that. But it was only a matter of time before another person located him and recognized the wanted creature.

A woman screamed down an alley. The high pierced decibels hurt Ghruk's ears. He let out a vicious roar in response, before taking off. After Project Gluttony killed the french woman, she would surely have heard it. But Ghruk was just looking to get away from everyone, as he ran down the street.

She heard it. A loud bestial roar. it was vicous and unlike anything she had ever heard. Not like any animal she had encountered. So it had promise. She caught a glance of the strange creature. It seemed afraid. "Good" She thought smirking. it should be. Though she realized one thing. That it was too fast for her. On foot it could outrun her eaisily. Which she felt was an unfair advantage, but she had no reason to complain. All she had to do was gain a mode of transportation. Anything that could move fast. fast enough to catch up with it anyway.

Then she heard the sound of a moped. it was coming aroung the corner. She frowned . One of the things she didn't know how to drive were mopeds. Still it was better than letting the creature get away. Holding one arm out. the driver of the moped collided into her lithe arm. Held high as possible. Knocking him off. Rolling into the street unconciouss and with a broken nose. Satisfied she grabbed the vehicle stopping it momentum. Fingers digging a little into it. Jumping on it. Twisting what seemed like the thing that made it go. With that the moped took off. At its full speed. Where she was barely able to control it, but kept it going this fast. Trying to keep the crab monster in sight. Silver eys squinting as she accelerated. No way was it getting away.

Ghurk heard the hum of a moped trailing behind him, and spun around to gaze at it. The world he was surrounded in was confusing. He didn't understand how anything worked, or why everyone was out to kill him. His brain was only recently genetically altered, and had a hard time catching up. As the moped came up close he took a swipe with his claw hoping to cleave both the moped and the girl chasing him in half with one swipe.

He wasn't a brutal killer, but he was like a cornered animal who was lashing out. He just wanted to get away from all these people, but they seemed to be consumed by greed. Either way, Ghurk didn't understand any of it.

The wind whipped her hair about as she reved the moped faster. It humming loudly as she made it go faster. The creature turned to face her. It definatly was the crab man she seeked. From what she could tell it was scared. A cornered animal. Gluttony knew all too well what animals could do. Quickly she tucked her knees to her chest. Using the strength of her body. Sprung forward. As the crab-man swung a claw at her. Narrowly missing her but trashing the moped. Ripping it in two.

She was heading straight towards the beast. Leg positioned for a kick. Which she put all the force she could behind it. Aimed for what seemed like its chest. She hoped that this would incapacitate it. Not kill it. The creature seemed too tough for that, but maybe stun it long enough to get a few good blows on its head. Then she could drag it back to the project. For god knows what they planned to do.

The frail looking girl put all the force of a kick into his chest, but she had more strength than she appeared to have. The results sent Ghruk flying backwards. It scowled as it hit its back against a wall, causing dust and debris to spill into the streets. The shroud of dust gave the illusion it was defeated, but it would take a lot more than that. The thick hide of the creature was extremely durable.

Suddenly, out of the pile of dust and debris, the crab man sprang out from the wall and ran at a high speed at the young girl. It tried to swipe at her horizontally with both claws simultaneously in an attempt to knock it clear off her feet. It bellowed loudly enough for anyone to hear it in a two block radius.

The creature flew into a wall. As the wall crumbled into dust and rubble. It seemed that the creature was done. That she had knocked it out. Then it rushed from the dust. At an impossible speed. Claws seeking to slice her, or at least knock her down. Body going into overdrive. She had to dodge. This thing could do damage to he.

Her body moved. Trying to jump backward. As the claws racked against her body. Cutting open her shirt, and cuts drawn acrross her stomach. As blood came in droplets from her stomach. Sent rolling back. Trung to get her bearings. Finger tips digging into the street. Concrete crunching as dust came from the street. She scowled at the crab man. Reaching for a nearby parked moter cycle. grabbing it by the handles. With all her strength throwing it at the creature. Hoping to do some damage. getting ready if it decided to retaliate again.

Ghruk was getting more familiar with his surroundings, and perceiving the possibility of things that could harm him. The young girl grabbed a motorcycle and threw it at him. He extended a single claw and snapped the vehicle in half with a massive claw while it was still in the air. Both halves harmlessly flew away from his body. He didn't want to fight anymore, he resorted to going back to his normal plan and turned in the opposite direction and began running down the street at his maximum running speed.

Rush and Slick were being transported to France in one of the mercenaries transport helicopters. They had been given permission to enter to try and claim the bounty, even though that wasn't why they were here. They were here to transport the beast out of France and gain a new asset. The transport helicopter was followed by three attack helicopters piloted by the mercenaries. Hopefully it was more than enough to contain the beast so that they could gain its loyalty. Following the sound of it's music, the four helicopters rapidly ran through french territory looking for the beast with the helicopter's spotlights.

Rush looked to his brother. "Plan A, is to get this neural inhibitor band around its cranium. If successful we should be able to calm it down. Plan B, is the chloroform. But there's no guarantee that will work. It's been deflecting tank fire in the news."

Slick nodded and grasped onto his quarterstaff. They had a lot more than those two weapons. The attack helicopters were equipped with gatling guns capable of a rapid fire of heavy piercing shells. Not to mention, Slick and Rush were mutants trained for combat. They would have victory here for sure.

The creature ran away again. Annoying her slightly. Was this all it could do? She sighed deeply. It didn't matter though. She would find it later. No way a creature of its status could hide. "yeah you run away. I'll get you later." She smirked. Placing her hands in her pockets. Scainning the street for a new form aof transportation. Seeing a motorcycle. As a man cautiously attampted to get on it. He knew what she was capable of and tried to avoid her attention. She approached him. Delivering a mid level punch to his gut. Knocking him unconciouss. Digging through his pockest till she found his keys. Turning the motorcycle on. Revving it up. She decided that the beast was worth going after. Then the vehicle roared to life and she took off. Making sure to stay not too far behind it. Happy that she was more skilled in motorcycles than mopeds.

The frail girl didn't seem to want to give up. She grabbed a motorcycle to continue the chase despite being wounded. Ghurk didn't stop running, but turned his head, screeching at his opponent. For someone so new to the world, he had no idea how to communicate "Get lost" any other way. He suddenly darted in a different direction down another road, heading towards a large lake. Ghurk took a large leap hurdling himself into the air several feet over the water before landing into it with a splash. He worked his way swimming to the other side. Gluttony couldn't follow by motorcycle.


The four helicopters raced across the city where he was last spotted, eventually getting a glimpse of the creature. It was only for a few seconds before he dived into the lake. Slick pointed at the massive ripples created in the lake by the monster, and the mercenary pilot worked its way there. They didn't really give any attention to Gluttony on the motorcycle, for now they thought her a civilian. The four helicopters hovered above the lake waiting for the monster to emerge.

The creature thought it could escape by swimming. How stupid was it? Not even water could get in between her and her target. She would do anything. Pressing hard on the brakes. The motor cycle schreeched to a halt. As she jumped off in front of it. Ground seeming to crack under the force she put into her jump. "So it went into the water eh? No matter." She entered to water slowly. The dived in. Swimming with a swift stroke. Putting all the strength at her disposal into swimming. Reaching the other side in about 3 minutes. Which probably gave the creature enough time to escape. Silently she cursed at how slow she went. Still she knew that she had to find the beast, or suffer a month in solitary confinement. A hell she feared worse than death.

The four helicopters zoomed over Gluttony's head heading towards the monster. They could catch up and keep up with Ghurk. Shining their spotlights, they tried to surround him and cut off his escape. The transport helicopter carrying Slick and Rush lowered so that the two could attempt to capture him. "You know what to do." Rush said to Slick.

He took a deep breath and moved in alone. He would distract Ghurk while Rush would try to ambush the creature when he's not looking to get the neural inhibitor around his cranium. Ghurk tried to get away and one of the helicopters dove in front of it, shining the bright spotlight in its eyes. He screeched and held his claws up to his face to shield himself. Slick moved in and prodded the back of his knee with his quarterstaff. His leg faltered for but a second before it raised back up and swung a claw backwards at Slick. The claw hit him in the chest and under the chin but the blow was dampened by the slippery foe. The claw slided off his skin and swung wide. Slick took a few steps backwards readying himself to reengage.

A helicoptor zoomed above her head. Apparently she wasn't the only one after the beast. She thought she shouldv'e been happy, but she wasn't. Even if this promised help. Also it made it clear that they were after the thing for themselves. Soaking wet she crawled from the lake. Shaking the water from her hair like a dog. Silver eyes narrowed as she broke off into a run. The creature had not gotten too far. Her clothes stuck to her like a second skin. Making the chill of the wind all much colder. Yet she ran only faster. As two men confronted the thing. One with a quarterstaff. He looked capable with the weapon, but the creature was also pretty damn strong. She had to approach this with caution. When the crab struck the man it seemed to slide off of him. Intriguing her. Maria had never seen such a power, and she saw amazing things in Project Perfection. On their vain quest to reproduce the original Project Perfection. Finally after no a long while of running she was near the crab monster. Breathing a little heavier. Though that wouldn't affect her fighting at all. " Looks like i caught up to you. Starting to give me trouble you are." She was getting annoyed by the crab. Almost tempted to eat it. Almost.

Ghurk and Slick went at each other, but Slick had to be extra cautious. He would extend his quarterstaff to prod the beast in the chest like a spear if he got too close. It didn't seem to phase it, Ghurk leaned into the pole pushing Slick backwards from his position, digging his heels into the dirt. Ghurk raised another claw and clasped it around Slick in a death grip. He threatened to close his claw and snap the man in half. Secreting as much oil as he could, he slipped from the grasp and fell on his back on the floor. Ghurk raised both claws into the air and tried to pin him to the ground. Slick rolled around dodging the blows, kicking the claws away with his feet.

Rush tried to find an opening to help his brother in capturing the beast. He waited until Slick was frustrating Ghruk to the point of fully distracting all of his attention. Rush pumped adrenaline through his veins to increase his speed and reflexes. His pupils dilated then enlarged from the sudden rush. He was a true addict. He leapt up and onto Ghurk's back in an attempt to put the neural inhibitor around his cranium. All three weren't paying any attention to Project Gluttony.
