As Terric led the way listening for any sign of faint movement other than Val's silent steps and Chelle's shadow step. He then noticed Val stop dead in her tracking lying on the floor as she let out a low grumbled only Terric could pick up. As soon as she did, he signaled Chelle to hold her position. Val then retreated to a safe place up in the branches above her in a single leap, hiding behind a massive amount of leaves way above the ground she laid low. Terric then knew it was something terrible coming. He then said to Chelle "Wait here while i scout ahead. I don't want my only friend getting hurt." Even though he felt her as more than a friend. As he scouted ahead about a half mile he then saw it, the dreadful silver-back feasting upon a blackpaw, another one of the wicked beasts. The Blackpaw was second in strength compared to any Darkclaw, though the silver-back was an elite of its kind. He then withdrew silently and quickly back to were he had told Chelle to hold. He had given her the details of what he had found, but as soon as he finished the Silver-back had already gotten their scent. Terric hearing the howl more of a screech of the great beast, he then quickly told Chelle "Be ready for a fierce battle. That cry is to lead other darkclaw's in its direction for a feast." He knew she was unafraid as she did not flinch one bit at the terrifying screech. They then saw the beast, it was only a few meters in front of them, standing at 6'8" with its one massive Blood-red eye, and many battle scars. Terric then felt a big lump slide down his throat because he knew this creature had taken his sister life. He then quickly built up his courage thkning to himself "This is the beast that took Vanya's life and now i shall end his." taking the bow from around his body, he gripped it firmly as he already drawn an arrow and notched it waiting for the right moment to release.

Chelle allowed herself to crouch upon the branch, waiting patiently for Terric to return. She closed her eyes and let her head tilt down, her chin tucking closer to her chest. She breathed slowly, her breath becoming nearly invisible. She was indeed a hunter, considering her vampiric side. The blood of a Darkclaw had been upon her lips before, and it was something she enjoyed as a mild treat. She was already thinking of it's taste, the smell wafting up her nose. She breathed inward deeply, the inhalation of the Darkclaw's scent sending a few shivers down her spine. She stood up abruptly once Terric returned, her lips curling into a malicious smile. "Hehe.. he thinks of me so highly.. He is indeed a gentleman.." ... "Terric; a Darkclaw has a short attention span. That is it's only reason for calling on others for help. If we can distract this one, we can have it dead and show it's head upon a branch to ward off other Darkclaw's... Revenge for the loss of your clan member." She grinned, her lips mocking Cheshire. Chelle arched her hand back, her wings folding around while she pulled the bandage off of her wing. New feathers replaced the old, a few more crimson rather than ebony being in view. It was showing her true colors, or something like that. Soon all of her feathers would be crimson. They would be a complete shield; hard to penetrate at all. "You better not miss your mark..." she trailed off, diving from the tree, her wings snapping open while she arched herself to stop, her heels acting as a braking system to have her stop, face to face with the Darkclaw. She grinned and before it could strike, she shadow stepped behind of it. This was Terric's chance. She hoped he would hit the beast in the other eye, blinding it completely.

Terric noticing her shadow step, was amazed that she used it so well. Not too many people could grasp the ability so easily. At that very moment he saw his opening pulled back on his notched arrow and released it in under seconds. The arrow whizzed through the trees with a whistling force behind of it slicing through the air at such great speed. *Smack* It hit the left ear of the Silver-back ripping it completely off. Terric was angered that this darkclaw moved just enough for it to miss the vital spot he was aiming for, its left eye. This did not cloud his judgement though he had quickly notched another arrow letting the motion of his arm fly fluently across the string drawing back and unleashing another towards the ferocious beast. The silver-back had already caught the area of which it came but was hit in the right forearm blocking it from hitting its head. The arrow had went deep into the skin almost reaching the creatures face anyway. At that moment the darkclaw then gripped the arrow pulling it out from its arm and tossing it aside. It let out a fierce roar and leaped for Terric's spot so quickly his only choice was to evaporate into a cloud of smoke *POOF* and move in the opposite direction of the beast. Therefore giving him a chance to land notch another arrow and send it in the creatures way but this time he had emitted a fire around the arrow as it was about to reach its target. *Fwap* It struck the creature's left leg burning it severely. This only enraged the silver-back even more.

Chelle let her face contain a seriousness that was not seen across her features everyday. She reached for her blade, drawing it in such a fluid motion it was a blur. She was waiting for an opening, making sure Terric was all right. She had no words. Her wings snapped open, pumping fiercely to stir up debris that was upon the ground. The Darkclaw's attention was taken away from Terric while Chelle whistled with her tongue pressed against the back of her bottom teeth. It was loud, obnoxious, and probably had the Darkclaw's eardrums in a lot of pain. Chelle moved herself forward and arched her blade with a lunge, aiming for it's ribcage. The blow was immediate, the double edged katana piercing flesh. The Darkclaw reacted with a shrill howl of pain. Blood came gushing from the cut, her blade being pulled back and thrust again, severing the beast's abdominal cavity. Chelle's wings arched around of her and she growled devilishly, her fangs becoming more prominent while her jaw bowed. She spun herself, her blade slashing across the Darkclaw's abdomen, seeing as the creature turned to face her, it's own teeth being barred. Her strike was perfect, hitting the creature diagonally across it's chest. She smirked and, without warning, felt a strike fall across her right arm. It's clawed hand came down fast, arching into her forearm. The claws cut into her flesh deeply, her own darker blood seeping from the veins. She hissed and growled in an angry fashion, her beautiful auburn irises becoming a bright vermilion."You son of a bitch.." She was pissed off now.

Terric seeing her true colors was fascinated at the beauty of a divine entity. Though this wasn't the time for him to be examineing her apperance. He then quickly evaporated once more but a bit closer to the great beast just above it. With anger filled emotions as he saw Chelle's arm dripping of blood he then felt a strong urge to stab the creature in its only remaining eye. As he did so the silver-back cried in pain, blinded by the fact of haveing no eyes. Terric then focused on Chelle and asked "My lady are you alright?" Seeing that she was okay he then moved onto the beast that took his sister life. Overcome with a old motion of loosing his sister he was not going to give this creature any mercy what so ever. He then quickly notched another arrow pulled it back with great force he then released. *Swoosh* As he let go he set his arrow aflame thus splitting it into three arrows. One pierced the throat, the other in the left wrist and the third in the stomach pinning it to the gigantic tree where the creature stood. Leaving great wounds in the silver-back. As he finished his last attack, overcome with exhaustion, he fell from the branch he stood on and hit the floor with great force. This was due to his three Smoke evaporations and his immense final attack. As he fell only one thing ran through his head. "Will Chelle be okay on her own?"

Chelle was seething with a form of rage that had her Vampiric side floating closer and closer to the surface. Emotions were bubbling over in the cauldron, anger being the one to spill over the edges of the pot. Chelle snarled again and then laughed aloud once Terric addressed her and asked of her well being. "... Terric, of course I'm fine." She snickered and let herself stand upright, trying to at least hold her composure. With a posh air about her, she watched with a fascination toward this male. He was so young, strong, and elegant even with in a hurry to make a point. She watched with her head nodding gently. "Impressive... I wonder if he could push himself further.." She thought this to herself, watching as he collapsed to one knee, leaving the creature pinned to the large white pine. She smiled in a triumphant sort of way and approached the beast, holding up her arm and licking the wound. Her tongue lapped up her own blood, sealing the wound. It was not healed, seeing as it took a minimum of three days for a wound this severe to heal. It only clotted the wound over, like a dog licking it's wounds. Chelle chuckled again and breathed in the monsters face, giving it a smell of her own copper scented poison. She was given a whine in response, a grunt, then a low growl. "Dos el pholor nindol tangi. Dosst elghinn zhah natha ritzeld belbol ulu fuma, ulu Har'dro, ulu dro. Mziln, dos ph' biu jiv'undus wun ussta suul." She had her blade within her left hand, her dominant hand. She was more-so ambidextrous, but with her right arm in a bit of pain, she found it suitable to end the beasts life this way. She pierced the creature's chest fiercely, leaving no life. The creature let out a horrible groan and then it's form went limp. Chelle had pierced it's heart. She withdrew her blade and wiped the blade off on the edge of her boot, sheathing it directly afterward. She turned to look toward Terric, her eyes locking with his own.

Terric angered at the fact that he was not able to kill the creature himself. Even though he did not let his anger show, he was happy that the creature that took his sister's life, had his taken away from it. "Thank you, Ma'dam for avenging my si... i mean former clan member." that was a bit too close for his own good, he didn't want her knowing just yet. He stood with all his might trying not to show any form of weakness, but he knew she could probably tell that he was exhausted. He then walked over to the silver-back, ripped its four fangs out and placed them in his satchel. "This will make a good necklace for Chelle" Terric thought. Seeing as it was their first battle together and it was a good trophy to remind them of this very day. He then looked toward Chelle locking eyes and stated "We are not that far from the place I've requested to take you, sorry for the interruption." He also saw her wound had closed very rapidly, way beyond the average rate of a normal wound. He was really impressed with this woman, she had the elegant look of a queen yet the abilities of a demon god. He was thinking in the back of his mind "This woman could be my wife on day."

She had barely lost her breath. She folded her wings behind of her and gave him a gentle bow. "My pleasure." She smiled toward him and let herself walk over to the Darkclaw yet again, looking up into it's ugly face. She breathed in it's scent. The smell of a form of evil was masking an aura of serenity. This creature, if given the right situation, could be loving. She knew that. It was then that the thudding of Darkclaw's could be heard. Chelle furrowed her brows together and looked toward Terric. "Have Val run ahead.. I've memorized her scent. We need to get to high ground." Chelle knew that Val would not be bothered by the Darkclaw's. Chelle was going to shadow step them both, only if Terric allowed her to. She moved to Terric and wrapped her arms around of his waist, her wings curling around of both of them, she moved with him into the nearest shadow, it being cast by the tree baring the Darkclaw's carcass. She shadow stepped them up onto a branch, her grip releasing him while she shadow stepped to another branch, nearly twenty feet away. "That was close..." She talked toward Terric, looking down to the other Darkclaw's that made their appearance, finally. They took notice of their dead bit of family and cried out. She had to cover her mouth, keeping a growl in her throat.

"Hurry they are coming." Terric feeling a sense of defeat letting Chelle shadow step him, he felt like an underling. He thought "I must seem like a nuisance" Keeping his breath at a low rate he said towards Val "Dofith forward lu' zexen'uma velkyn" she instantly obeyed and took off like a leaf on the wind. He was still uneasy so he let his shoulder lean against the tree making it seem like he was doing it on purpose. He watched as the Darkclaw's scavenged the dead silver-back gorging themselves, it was their sense of a proper burial. After feasting upon the corpse until only bone was left they then howled and sniffed the air to see if they could track anything, but nothing came to their senses. So they just gave a low grumble as to defeat and turned about their own business walking off into the distance. Val had worked her way around the beasts in a wide circle moving back to were her master's scent was strongest. She then let out a faint scuffle letting Terric know she was back. He then moved down from branch to branch as to not bring attention to his weakened state. Once down on the ground again he patted Val's head "Bwael ligrr" He then pointed towards the bones left from the silver-back as if she could have her pick. She then moved over and chose the left arm bone since it had been pierced by terric's flaming arrow. It smelled of cooked flesh and this attracted her to it, she was prone to his fire abilities. Not to mention dog's loved the smell of something warm and cooked rather than a cold, bloodied, wet bone. It was getting quite dark and Terric stated, looking in Chelle's direction "I think we should rest for the night. The forest is dense and I am a much better tracker in the day. Well thats if you don't mind Ma'dam." his tone was stern but weak. He did not want to give her the impression that it was mainly for him to rest.

Chelle watched as the other darkclaw's devoured the once living silver back. She shook her head and dropped down once the coast was clear. She anchored her weight gently, letting her knees bend to catch herself. She sort of bounced and stood up slowly. She looked over to Val, watching the canine pick out a good treat to gnaw on. She then looked back to Terric. She was glad she had packed a tent, as well as a sleeping bag. The sleeping bag, oddly enough, could fit two average adults. She usually liked to keep room to move around.. but maybe she could share or something. She nodded toward Terric and looked around. "If we're sleeping out here.. we'll need a place where the Darkclaw's won't come, ever. I'd rather not get ambushed during the middle of the night." She chuckled lightly and let her wings seemingly vanish, though they more or less turned into a pile of rose petals and a few feathers. Red roses, black roses, a crimson feather, and a few black ones. She bent down and picked up the feathers and stuck them in her hair. They looked nice against the darker brown. Her back, no longer baring her wings, was being shown off to all eyes. There were many scars that she was given during a fight she was not going to stand up for. She let herself become the victim. It was the one time in her life that she'd rather have died rather than lived.

Terric saw the elegance of the feather in her hair. "Those feathers look very lovely on you, Ma'dam." he told Chelle. He also mentioned "I have these herbs that you may eat that masks your scent from any creature that may be lurking. It comes out from your pours and throws off their smell. It would be wise for us not to sleep though a rest would do just fine." he then bowed showing her more respect. He then reached into his satchel pulling out a mortar and pestle grinding up the herbs as well as a small amount of fresh spring water from the sacred well. As he finished he poured the liquid into a small vile and held it out in front of him motioning for her to grab it. A question then came to Terric's mind so he just came out with it "Why do you hide those graceful wings?" He then kneeled down and gathered a few of the feathers that were from the pile, he had grabbed a few of each color. He thought "These feathers would go great with a coordination of colors and the fangs from the silver-back." He then asked "Do you need anything else Ma'dam?" He didn't understand his feelings. He would do anything for this woman he just met, but he barely even knew her.

"Thank you, very much, Terric." She had accepted his compliment. It was polite for a woman, a lady, a female even, to accept every and all compliments no matter what they were. She smiled toward Terric and then noticed the herb. It smelled familiar, though she hadn't the idea. Chelle accepted the herb without questioning him, considering the familiar smell, and ingested it without a faulty reaction or anything. She was a bit confused at his question of her wings, and then she chuckled and shrugged, shaking her head lightly. "Well, it's easier to keep them hidden when I'm making most of my moves on basic land. It keeps me lighter." She looked around and perched herself on a fallen tree, it's trunk becoming a forest bench. She sat Indian style upon the great fallen Oak and closed her eyes, breathing gently. "No, but thank you Terric. A rest is much needed. It will help my arm heal. It's already clotted. I should be fine in a day or so." And she was being honest. Just because of her race, minor little cuts and such could heal so much faster than anything else. An actual puncture, break and etc would take much longer, considering her wing hadn't even healed all the way yet. She felt some form of pain every time she attempted to fly. It was best to just relax herself.

"Your welcome." He nodded seeing that it would be easier to move since all the branches would get in the way. Then he saw her perch herself on the broken tree. He thought "This would be the best time to fashion together her necklace he had been wanting to make." He then pulled a piece of string off his satchel that had been bothering him. As he did, he pulled off a vine from a nearby tree and interwove it so that the feathers and teeth would fit perfectly. He just took a guess on how big to make the necklace due to the fact that he didn't want Chelle knowing he was making her a gift. He finished within minutes placing the necklace in a safe spot in a pocket of the satchel away from everything else. As he did so he saw Val laying on the ground with one of her front paws over the other. He just gave a smirk, seeing how he had such a heart for dogs. He then moved up behind Chelle placing one hand on her right shoulder. Terric quickly removed his hand not knowing if it was okay to be touching the woman. He quickly apologized "Sorry Ma'dam i didn't mean to.."

She was listening to all of the faint sounds around of her. She breathed in and out, slow and steady. It felt like a whole day had passed, but when she felt the gentle touch upon her shoulder, it must have only been a little over an hour. The rest she took was very rejuvenating. She felt so relaxed when her eyes fluttered open. She looked up to Terric and smiled lightly. "You're fine, Terric. Let's get going." She slipped off of the earthly bench, her booted feet touching down to Terra. She stepped off, looking around. She breathed in and then walked forward. Something smelled odd. "Let's head to that site you wanted me to see earlier, eh Terric?" she questioned, looking back toward him with a brow cocked up beneath her bangs. She was still eager to see where she could place her third, and possibly final, headquarters.

Terric felt a sense of pride knowing that she did not mind him touching her. It was odd because normally the female would have to approve of the male before any physical interaction in his clan. He simply nodded at her words and stated "Lets be on our way then." he then whistled for Val she stood and instantly knew they would be on their way, so she moved ahead and led the way. He then readied to go, and jumped up onto a nearby branch, awaiting her to follow. He decided to follow behind Val so he could watch over her, even though he knew she'd be fine and escape danger before it aroused. After a few more miles jumping from limb to limb they finally arrived at the sacred tree of life. The area was vast and demolished due to the fact that his village was burned to the ground. He thought "This would be a perfect place to set up her headquarters." He then jumped to the ground noticing Val stood in the very spot they had met. He decided just to kneel down and pet her for a few moments, rubbing her ears and under her chin, those were her sweet spots. He stood abruptly and looked around at the vast land that was once his village. Sulking at the thought of his entire clan being wiped out, he quickly erased the feeling from his body. Walking back to the tree of life he grabbed a few more herbs that were around the tree, placed them in his satchel for later use. He then made a gesture towards Chelle showing her the land were she could build her Headquarters. "Would this be a good place? It has spacious land, many trees to guard the overlook and lots of scenery for your leisure. " He felt as if he was giving her a piece of him.

Chelle had no trouble following after Terric what-so-ever. She was moving with such grace, it was kind of entertaining to herself. She would leap, bound, and latch herself onto new branches. They moved quite fast for the way they were traveling. Chelle slowed once Terric did and looked around. She felt her heart lurch. So much love was shared here. It was a family love; the one that is unconditional. She then felt hatred. It was something so far cut into this land that it was hard to shake off. She closed her eyes and pulled her feathers from her hair and dropped them. They turned to ash and spread upon the ground. This was going to be the place that the villa was started. A simple marker. She looked around some more and looked back toward Terric. "This is a perfect place. I will be sure to honor those who were lost by creating a graveyard for them." She was sure they were all sent to heaven, considering these people seemed honorable and nice. Chelle paced for a bit and then let her wings spread. She pumped them once and felt them pull her up. She smiled. There was no longer any pain. "All right, Terric. Let's set back toward the coast. It would be easier if we flew.. But what about Val?" She looked down toward the canine.
