Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
Chaos cackled wildly as he stabbed Pain right in his hip, feeling excited that he got to inflict some pain on his enemy. However, his eyes widened when he felt Pain grip his arm hard enough to make him hiss in pain as the bones in his arm shattered. The look in Pain's eyes made Chaos, for once, fear what was about to happen. He desperately tried to pull away from Pain but his strength was far superior to his own. He gulped when Pain said he was taking him down and screamed a high-pitched screech as Pain's fist came crashing into his temple rather then his midsection, what with his futile attempts to get out of Pain's grip. The power of the punch sent enough pain to overload his brain and Chaos blacked out, slumping over into Pain's grasp as his body went limp. What Pain did would be unknown to all those here until he sent Chaos into the hospital, with which they would find out Pain put Chaos into a deep coma.

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
Paine looked down to the blonde woman, blinking lightly while she watched her. She noticed the fresh blood that coated the old that had somewhat dried around of Scarlet's stomach. Paine shook her head and sighed, kneeling next to her. "This might hurt," Paine said, sliding her icy touch over the hems of the wound. She was going to help cauterize the flesh, making blood flow stop from that area long enough for the woman to use her own fire to seal the wound. It would be possible, if Scarletta could actually pull that off. Paine then looked up, only moment before Pain had slammed Chaos into an unconscious state. A state of subconscious so deep, that he would probably be in a more comatose state. She blinked. She drew a breath. She stood up completely and walked toward Pain. Anger was filling her gut. She was finally given a chance to fight Pain openly. Not only had he hurt her friend, but there was still that simple mindset of her's. She wanted to kill Pain. At least defeat him at this point. Fight him and make him actually feel pain. She stepped forward, and then darted as quickly as possible. She moved lightly on her toes, rushing head on into Pain. She growled while she approached. A bloodlustful battle cry had ripped from her core. "It's just you versus me now, Pops!" She was moving so quickly, and as she moved, two clones of herself formed on her right, and then her left. The proximal left clone, and then distal right moved forward, breaking the straight line of Paine's. They went to throw Pain off guard; going into his line of sight and distracting the poor fella. Paine's own mind was thinking of a way to attack, but for now, she was settled on distracting him.

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
Chaos just wouldn’t hold still, he flailed about in his grasp, desperately trying to escape it, but to no avail. Pain’s mighty fist flew forward, its trajectory changed due to the mutant’s futile attempts to escape, causing the deadly attack intended for his chest to slam into his temple instead. The Big Man barely held back on the attack, intending to knock his foe out cold in one heavy punch, but things didn’t go according to plan. He could feel his enemy’s skull crushing beneath his fist as it connected, sending violent vibrations through his entire body before it went limp. His fierce foe only managed to stay on his feet for a brief second before collapsing forward into the Big Man’s arms. Pain knew immediately he screwed up when he felt Chaos’ deadweight in his grasp; which was the only thing stopping him from flying forward like a speeding bullet when he was struck.
His tight grip on Chaos’ wrist was released, his arm falling limply to his side, having trouble wrapping his head around what had just happened. He felt a lump in his throat, and his heart sank into his stomach. A brief silence fell on the great hero, his eyes closed as he held his old arch nemesis with his opposite arm, convinced he had just killed him in battle. The promise he made all those years ago, now broken. Pain’s bright blue eyes flickered open as he scooped up his fallen enemy and gently lowered him onto the ground, allowing his back to rest against the cold hard street. It wasn’t much, but it was the best he could do for him right now. The hero knelt down on one knee, showing his opponent respect, one arm resting at his side, the other rest on his knee. No matter what your alignment, life is precious, and no one should take that away; Pain felt responsible for all of this.
Pain moved his massive hand to brush Chaos’ freakish eyes to a close, before letting it fall back to his side. He just went with his gut, with what felt right, and even if he wasn’t heard, at least he tried. “I-“ Pain knew the words, but couldn’t get them to come out. His head hung low as the words were forced out in his rough, raspy voice. “I never meant for this to happen...” The Great Hero rose to his feet, looking down at his fallen foe nearly overwhelmed by guilt. “Sorry.” He said as he turned away from him, now facing Scarletta and Paine.
A deep scowl clung to the hero’s face as he witnessed his so called daughter charge towards him. His head was a mess right now; it wasn’t a good time to mess with him. “You want a fight? Bring it.” He growled as his fingers slowly curled up into fists at his sides; the usual loud cracking of his bones ringing in his ears. When he witnessed her create duplicates like that, he felt an odd memory coming back. A brief flash of a battle with Raine played in his head. Pain shook his head and focused himself back in on the fight. His eyes darted around, then to the floor, and luckily there was a large sewer cap just beside his feet. He quickly put together a decent plan and lifted it from the ground. Now he had a weapon, and a nice projectile.
The Big Man held the sewer lid in his right hand, holding it with ease, just like a Frisbee. He slashed forward at the two oncoming obvious duplicates, hitting them both in one sweeping strike. With all the power behind this hero, it was likely nothing she threw at him would be able to withstand his strikes. Pain then immediately tossed the sewer lid towards the other three Paines, his target being the one on the left. “That the best you got?” He grunted as he charged forward to pursue the remaining Paines.

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
Her heart was beating so hard, she could swear someone was taking a hammer and slamming it repeatedly against her chest cavity. She took a deep breath and slid along the ground, her new attack in plan, moments before Pain had demolished two of her clones. The other two coming forward, crying out devilishly. As soon as the sewer lid crashed into the left clone, a flurry of snow made a cover for Paine. Paine had fell upon her knees, and then scrambled back to her feet after the other two clones were smashed into another light flurry of snow flakes. The bursts of snow from all four clones gave Paine some cover while she iced over a thirty foot radius around herself, and Pain. The flurries also gave her a sort of camouflage cover. It allowed Pain to rush past Paine, her form rolling to the left of his thunderous feet pounding the pavement. She swallowed and blinked, a blur coming over her eyes.
She felt a sob catch her chest. She blinked again. She moved a hand up and wiped her eyes. "What the fuck? Tears? No way." She wiped again and then looked through the snow to Pain. He had his back to her, seeing as she had ducked and dodged his massive feet while he charged into the last two clones of her's. She cursed underneath of her breath and stood up a little taller, allowing her body to become a crystalline sculpture. A song then ran through her head, so calm and serene. Her heart slowed down, and she thought of everything good that's happened. She was alive. She had a house. It was built of old wood, and she liked where she lived. The only thing she cared about was herself, so why in the world was she crying over Chaos? She doubted he was dead. If he were, he did live a good life, and she will remember him as.. something.
She swallowed again, her tears freezing upon her cheeks. She looked angelic. That did not even matter, though. Once Pain turned around and came at her, he would slip and fall, unless he grasped his terrain fast enough. If he falls, Paine will pursue him and attempt to pin him down with an icy cage. Her blade of ice formed in her hand, the curved blade able to slice through some of the strongest metals. It was time to be a catalyst, considering that's what she usually was. A trouble maker. The start of a problem. Though, Paine is actually a conundrum herself. "Behind ya', big fella." She whispered, a few walls of ice forming around of the man. There were six ice barriers, some jagged, and wide, others tall and thin. They popped up like daisies out of the flurry of snow. Her own crystalline body changed back to normal, her right hand gripping the sword firmly. It did not even begin to melt. It wouldn't, either. Not in her grip, anyway. Not even in the hottest desert, on the hottest day of the year.

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
Chaos was dead. Well at least it looked that way. His body was limp and lifeless and Pain actually looked upset. She was to focused on that when the girl touched her wound with ice. She hissed slightly and winced in pain. Of course ice and fire didn't get on very well. She leaned back with her eyes half shut, long eyelashes grazing her cheeks as she tried to sear the flesh shut with her fire. Of course that wasn't working out very well. Blood loss was making her tired and her concentration kept lapsing. A few times she had to catch herself from falling asleep and then probably unconscious. It was the worst thing to do when you had a bad wound, sleep. Taking a deep breath she opened her eyes and instantly regretted it. They were fighting! Fighting! Scar couldn't believe it for a second and her eyes drifted to Chaos. Was that a rise in the chest she saw? Faint... very faint. Both of them looked upset about the murder of the man though probably for different reasons; Brock because of a past event maybe and Paine because of the fact he was her friend. But fighting wasn't going to solve anything.
Pushing herself weakly to her feet she inwardly curse. Had they checked Chaos was breathing? Felt a pulse? Or just assume it? She stumbled round the fight to where Chaos was coughing up blood as she dropped down beside him. She put her cheek to his odd mouth and paused.
Just faintly... a little breath. Dear god the man had a half smashed in skull and was still breathing! Damn it. She fumbled in her pocket for a phone, they needed an ambulance down here stat. The fighting was not helping.
"Stop it! Both of you!" she growled the words, half in anger, half out of pain, the phone half raised, ready to press dial. If they didn't stop she'd make them stop.

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
Scarlet’s words fell on deaf ears, neither father or daughter would listen, this fight was meant to happen. Pain barely missed her, coming to a skidding halt just a moment later. Usually, he’d have a sly, cocky smirk on his face, but now it held a cold scowl. These stupid tricks weren’t going to work on him; he’s seen it all before. Not a single doubt ran through his mind, completely confident he was going to win this battle. As the ice stretched around them, the Big Guy planted his feet, preparing to get rid of the little ice rink she had created.
He heard her whisper, trying to sneak up on him, well it wouldn’t work. The Big Guy saw that coming, he wasn’t as dumb as he looked. “I know.” Pain calmly said as a madman’s smirk stretched across his face, completely unafraid as the ice mirrors formed around him. “If Raine really is your mother, she was a hell of a lot stronger than you.“ He said as he balled his hands up into fists once again, cracking the bones loudly as always. “Cheap tricks won’t work on me!” Pain growled as he dropped down to one knee, slamming his right fist into the ground with a decent amount of strength; which for him was a whole lot.
The Big Guy intended to shatter every little icicle she summoned up, and for a guy with his strength, it wouldn’t be difficult. She needed to do better than that! Pain rose to his feet, spun around, and continued on his charge towards Paine, intending to barrel through anything thrown his way. "You won't get away from me!"

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
"I'm glad," she snarled through gritted teeth, all kinds of anger whelming up inside of her. She was actually trying not to be such a hot headed idiot at this moment. For once, Paine just wanted to be calm. She took a moment to breathe, taking a leaping step backward from Pain's thundering punch to her icy floor. It was a good thing he was so offensive, and loved a clear path. As soon as his fist came in contact with the ice, it shattered and soft snow flakes started to fall around of them. Paine was standing with her chest rising and falling normally. She wanted to fight him with a clear mind, not one full of head-on attacks. She wanted to be strategic. She wanted to beat him. She bit her lower lip and then her mind clicked. She went into her state of rage, it being much too strong for her own will to hold on to it. She thrust herself forward, seemingly phasing through the falling snow. Not a flake fell upon her form. Pain, though, was also charging toward Paine, his form just barreling through the snow, ignoring it's presence all together. She had the blade held out at Pain, a second one forming in that same hand. She took the second into her left hand and slashed out at his form with her right blade, the left acting as a brace for any attacks coming toward her defenseless side. Her legs were coated with ice, spiked shards of the deadly weapon sticking out around of her shins and calves. That was Paine's true advantage; she hadn't been fighting for most of the day, and she wasn't exactly that stressed about this situation. She was ready for this fight, and she had been since the day she was born.

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
Most would expect him to be fatigued and exhausted after a battle with Chaos, but he felt at full strength, at one hundred percent power. It took an awful lot to wear The Big Guy down, and Chaos hadn’t done nearly enough damage. The injuries given to him by the psychopath were now nearly completely healed up, the scars on his gloved hands and hip now nearly invisible. Crimson drops remained scattered across his hands and clothes, but he had no open injuries anymore; his healing factor may have been slow, but it was still extremely useful.
Pain sprinted down the street at full speed, easily barreling his way through the icy snow as he charged towards Paine. “’Bout time you quit runnin’!” Despite her little weapons or armor, the Big Guy growled fearlessly as he charged head on; just like before he’d smash it all to pieces! The young villainess held two ice blades, holding one defensively, and slashing the other forward as she clashed with Pain. The skilled hero had seen the obvious attack coming, and was more than quick enough to react. His guard went up several feet before they clashed, crossing his arms over one another in front of him. The sword slammed into his practically impenetrable skin, slashing a wide cut across both arms but also forcing the inferior structure to shatter against his mighty forearms.
That was far from the end of his charge, the Big Guy easily barreled forward through the first blade of ice, intending to slam into Paine. If he were successful, he’d slam into her, pick her up with his crossed arms and continue to charge with her until he decided otherwise.

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
It was all too simple. She had him in a perfect position. His mindless frontal attack was perfect. She was a bit impressed she even cut him with her blade, though. She scowled sincerely and growled out while her grip was lost on the other, holding as a defensive weapon. She felt the breath escape from her lungs, her eyes closing for a moment. She let them reopen, a fierceness never seen before replacing her expression. She had no desire in this world to let herself lose without putting a few more marks on The Big Guy. She rolled her eyes mentally and let her feet lift from the ground with the momentum Pain had started building the moment he barreled toward Paine. Her idea had set the moment Pain came toward her, especially when he allowed her blade to smack him right in the arms. She bent her knees, her right leg coming hard into his left side, slamming with the spiked ice possibly tearing into his shirt, and even then his skin. It was if and only if he allowed himself to keep running on with Paine lifted into the air. She didn't mind too much, all he was doing was running at high speeds, down a straight road, with no on coming traffic. She could just enjoy the little ride. "Haha! You should pick me up and carry me around more often, dad!" the sarcasm lacing her words were so vile, and fake it shouldn't have taken Pain moments to realize the tone. She spoke the moment her right leg slammed toward his left side. She intended to bring Pain a bit of his own medicine.

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
The Big Guy knew nothing she could throw his way was capable of stopping him, and he had every intention of exploiting that. With his size, power, and thick skin, he was able to barrel his way through just about anything. This gal was a tough one, because most would’ve ended up as roadkill when the Big Guy slammed into them. If she wasn’t his daughter, that might’ve just happened. Pain never had any intentions to kill, and held back when he felt his enemy couldn’t handle it, but that feeling in his gut told him she could handle some serious punishment; just like her old man.
Pain continued charging forward with the young villainess on his arms, sprinting down the empty street that everyone had long fled by now. The Big Guy slyly smirked at her cocky taunting, and shrugged off the little ‘dad’ comment. He wasn’t a father to anyone, or at least he hadn’t been, yet. Immediately following her sarcastic taunt, she slammed her right leg into his side, causing the Big Guy to growl out as the kick connected. The spiked icy armor she wore was tough, but not tough enough to withstand impact against his thick skin, shattering into thousands of little icicles. Though that didn’t mean it had no effect, the left side of his black t-shirt was obviously easily shredded, and his skin was slashed and pierced by the thick ice. The wounds were deep enough to cause some bleeding, but they were nothing but minor injuries to him.
Two large icicles managed to pierce his skin, the injuries stacked on top of each other, one at the bottom of his ribcage, and the other six inches up. The icicles could not get past his ribcage, and even if they could the Big Guy was tough everywhere. Several smaller icicles scratched his entire left side, showing the obvious marking on his skin through the holes in his shirt. Crimson drops stained his shirt, and dripped down his skin, but he acted as if he felt nothing. Pain easily dealt with what little he felt, because to him that might as well have been a mosquito bite!
“This ain’t a joyride kid!” Pain growled out as he charged towards a parked armored delivery truck, intending to slam the young villainess’ back into it. The Big Guy skidded to a halt as he approached it, slowing his momentum down just enough to stop as he tried to slam his own daughter into the armored vehicle. The vehicle would remain intact, and Paine would simply be imprinted into the back of it; making it obvious he held back a significant amount of strength. No vehicle would stand up to his strength, and he didn’t need the death of his so-called daughter on his hands too.

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
She felt the icicles pierce his flesh, but it was nothing. A simple little prick, almost alike to a forty year diabetic pricking their thumb or forefinger for the thousandth and thirty-third time. She smirked once Pain found her little remark just that simple; a little remark. She felt him slow down, and she felt the growing presence of a wall, or something alike to that behind of her. She closed her eyes for a moment and then came the impact. Her whole frame was molded within the armored truck that she was forcefully slammed into. Even with Pain having slowed down, and her form being slammed into the truck, it wasn't going to hurt her with Pain at top speed. She'd been tossed into thicker, more indestructible surfaces before. This little obstacle was nothing. But, Pain didn't know that. Paine allowed a faux cry of immense pain to rack shivers of fear down the spines of anyone, or anything close by. She clutched her hand to her stomach, another faux act of pain.
She was a bit pissed off, though. She reached up and wrapped her hands around of Pain's thick forearm and squeezed, trying to pry his grip off of her. She wriggled and kicked her legs, causing more dents to the van's side. Her whole body iced over, her grip around of Pain's arm causing some form of icy pain. She stared him directly in the eyes. It was alike to staring down the barrel of a gun... fearless, and ready to fire at the pull of a trigger. Pain had Paine cornered. She had no way of real escape. He was stronger, faster... but he lacked her ice abilities. He lacked the emotional differences. He loved Raine. Rebbecca had that little bit of advantage... she looked exactly like Raine, with an added eye color from Pain. That beautiful cerulean. She smiled and shook her head, gripping with all her might, trying to give her a bit more room to breathe. She cleared her throat and arched against his hold.
"Come on now... [cough].. you don't [cough].. want me to die, right?"
Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
Pain’s aggressive attack plan worked perfectly, just as he suspected it would. He knew if he kept up the pressure, her tough act would quickly fade. After the Big Guy came to his skidding halt, his piercing blue optics remained fiercely fixed upon the young woman pinned into the armored truck. The young villainess’ scream of agony rang through the great hero’s ears as her back slammed into the tough metal surface. Before she could fall from her metal prison, Pain threw his massive left hand forward into her throat, pushing her further into the armored truck. He held back on his strength, only using enough to knock the wind out of her and assure she was pinned. The Big Man wrapped his powerful, large fingers around the throat of his enemy, squeezing tightly as he forced her up as high as the indent would allow. More shrieks and groans of anguish rang through his ears as the young villainess fought for oxygen, assuring him that he had her on the ropes.
The gal just wouldn’t give up, putting her hands around his forearm and attempting to pry herself from his mighty grip. Her efforts were respectable, but meant nothing; with pure strength she stood no chance of overpowering him. The young villainess pressed on, attempting to freeze his forearm over, kicking her legs wildly about as she fought back to the very end. Pain saw more and more just how much she had in common with her mother, and with him; he wasn’t sure how to take it. He heard her sarcastic words, but hesitated to reply, and instead increased the pressure of his grip. The bones in his hand cracked, and the ice surrounding his hand and travelling up his wrist shattered; he was applying more strength than necessary for it to work.
“Kid, I ain’t a killer.” Pain’s rough voice said calmly as he pulled her from the wreckage. ”But if you don’t give up now,” He took a few steps back and lifted her up as high as his massive arm would allow. The hero’s piercing blue eyes focused up at his foe, the bright sun beaming down onto her and into his icy eyes. “You’re in for a real hurtin’.” He threatened boldly as his opposite arm prepared to strike in case she tried anything, balling his hand up into a mighty bone cracking fist.

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
Scarletta decided to leave the mutant in the road and headed after the father and daughter fighting duo. She couldn't believe they were fighting in the middle of the street. She pushed herself up onto the balls of her feet and hands and took a deep breath, resting her forehead on her knees to stop the dizzying sensation. Like a whisper through her body she could feel the faint shadow of Angelic healing. Of course she wouldn't heal instantly, just a lot faster than a normal human would. It was a painful process but the blood and essence was one of the only reasons she had survived all these years so she didn't complain. Finally she stopped the world from spinning and pushed herself to her feet, stumbling forward slightly she put her hand on the wall to steady herself, the other hand - her left - was pressed uselessly to her stomach. The shattered forearm did nothing to help stop the blood flow so she decided to try what Paine had tried and use fire to hold her guts together.
The angel fire skimmed round her bleeding abdomen and fused the flesh weakly together. Scar wiped a trickle of blood from her lips and then started after the fighting pair. When she saw Paine being rammed into the truck she picked up her speed. Pain could crush her and Paine had a lip on her, she would wind Brock up till he was testing his patience.
"Stop it," she said, some what quietly before clearing her throat and then trying to push her way inbetween the pair of them, tugging uselessly on his arm with her unbroken arm.
"Pain, stop it, now," she growled the words, stronger now. She put her very much smaller hand on his clenched fist and frowned slightly, trying to draw his attention to her. She knew if he wanted to he could hit her and Paine in one but she trusted him not to.
"Stop it before you do something you'll regret later on."

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
There was a gasp, a struggle. She felt his grip crush further upon her vocals, and even then her airway. She coughed with more severity and wheezed in a small, hopeful breath of air. Her eyes were welling with tears of anger. These tears were a sign of her defeat, but she was not done yet. "Hahaha.. [cough] I bet you could kill me.. just like you killed Chaos." She had to pause for a moment, choking back the tears while her nostrils flared, the scowl on her lips deepening. She coughed again, this time blood splattering over Pain's hand. She closed her eyes and felt him grip tighter, lifting her higher into the air. She opened her eyes and looked up, trying to swallow past Pain's grip. It was near impossible. She coughed again, blood splattering his hand again, though this time, there was that fire girl's hand, and she was being a persistent bother. "Don't even bother... he's a killer. He's done it once, he'll do it again." She spoke through gritted teeth, her body convulsing in pertest to his grip. She let her hands and feet dangle helplessly, her stare catching the woman's for a moment. She allowed a smirk to steal her lips, blood trickling from her nose. Would he really let her die?

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
The Big Man’s expression radiated anger, rage, frustration, and sorrow, all bottled up into one man who’s dealt with the world on his shoulders for over twenty years. His scowl grew fiercer as the young villainess made her cruel comment, which actually hit Pain in his soft spot. It infuriated him, and deep down hurt him a little, he was not a killer, and he never intended for that for Chaos. It drove him mad, he couldn’t stand the idea of being labeled as one. Pain would not accept it, no matter what happened, he was not a killer! His free hand balled up even tighter, shaking with power and frustration at his side as the loud bone cracking rang through their ears. The opposite hand still held a powerful grip, which’s strength grew with every passing second, intending to choke her into an unconscious state. That was a bit rough for Pain, usually he would never resort to such brutal techniques unless completely necessary, but his rage clouded his judgment.
The hero’s frightening piercing blue eyes glared up at Paine with a heavy heart. He replaced all of the emotions he felt with anger, the only way Pain knew how to express himself. That did not by any means meant that he would lash out and intentionally hurt the ones he cared for, but it did mean he was extremely difficult to reach. Pain at the moment did not even care that he was causing such crippling agony to the young villainess. He just wanted to shut her up and get this day over with already, it was hell on him enough as it is. “Shut up…" Was all Pain managed to lowly growl out between his teeth which grinded against each other out of frustration.
The pressure continued relentlessly, even when Scarletta intervened, Pain’s grip would not loosen, at least not yet. Her words fell on deaf ears, even as they grew louder, they were ignored by the frustrated hero. “Stay out of this Scarlet.” Pain’s rough voice demanded, not even glancing in her direction and keeping his eyes completely fixed on his strangled opponent. As he felt her small hand fall onto his clenched fist, he felt her words sink in, and they sunk deep, latching their little hooks onto his heart. The hero’s blue eyes cut to her, and he expressed the sadness he felt through more aggression, growling out at Scarlet in a way that he had never done before. “Let. Go.” The Big Man yanked his massive fist from her grasp, turning his vision back to the villainess he held in the air. More painful words tore through his ears and into his brain, causing a wrenching agony in his chest. “I told you…” He growled through his teeth as he clenched his fist even tighter, it vibrated madly with unfathomable power.
”I’m not a killer! The frustrated hero loudly barked out as he threw his fist forward towards the face of the young villainess. It ripped through the air with more than enough strength to fatally injure, even kill her.
Against what everyone thought would happen, the mighty fist flew forward into the armored vehicle, flying right past Paine’s head, literally barely an inch apart. The truck could not even hope to stand up to Pain’s might, instantly its entire structure crumbled from the power he exerted. The engine caused a loud, booming explosion that came and went in only a few seconds. It was unable to make the Big Guy flinch as he glared into the fiery destruction he had caused, small pieces of metal and shrapnel raining down and scattering across the street. Nothing was left of the armored vehicle, nothing but scraps and fiery debris that littered the street.
Paine had her back to this entire event, and it was likely a very frightening thing for her to endure. The pain could not compare to the fear he was able to strike in others, well at least in this scenario it was. The Big Guy wouldn’t be surprised if shock alone knocked her into an unconscious state. Paine had not been moving, but he could still very clearly feel a pulse, he never had any intention to seriously hurt her, or anyone for that matter. Pain released her from his strangling grip, moving to carry her like a small child, showing a sign of softness towards his adversary.
Brock held his daughter in his arms for the first time, and something deep down inside him clicked; this really was his daughter. There was no more denying it, he accepted it one hundred percent, this was his flesh and blood before him today. Pain felt guilty for being so rough on her, but at the same time felt it was necessary, he did not regret his decisions. However he did regret his words earlier and he did regret not having been there for her, even though there was nothing he could’ve done about it, he blamed himself. Even if she couldn’t hear him, Pain managed to spit out a few words, feeling as if he had to say it. “I’m sorry. One day…One day you’ll see your old man ain’t such a bad guy.” The Big Man showed more of his vulnerable, soft side, completely forgetting or ignoring the fact that Scarlet was there. He gently cradled the back of her head, stroking his daughter’s cheek with his thumb as he looked down to her. A genuine smirk briefly clung to his face, she really did look just like her mother, and him…
Pain gently lowered his daughter to the ground, placing her down as softly as the hard cement would allow. The Big Man knelt down at her side, stopping to say his goodbye before taking off to help Scarlet and deal with Chaos. Pain had a lot to deal with right now, but he wouldn’t let it stop him from saying the words he felt were needed. “Wherever your life takes you, I’m gonna’ be there.” His rough voice said softly and genuinely as he stroked her cheek “I’ll be watchin’ over you kid, makin’ sure you’re okay.” Pain slowly and gently released his hand from the back of her head, allowing it to rest on the pavement. He then rose to his feet and turned to walk away, but he stopped to say one last thing over his shoulder. “Take it easy kid…” It was all he could muster up, this was already hard enough on him as it is.
The Big Guy walked away from his daughter, deciding he would let her off the hook and leave her here. The authorities would pick her up and assume she was a civilian who got stuck in the crossfire, Pain would be the one to take all the blame, and he was okay with that. He’d done it for many people, doing it for his daughter was certainly no trouble, at least not for him. The great hero stepped towards Scarlet, a blank emotionless expression clinging to his face as he approached. Pain had no idea what to say to this woman, his mind was a complete mess right now. He stopped in front of her, his icy blue eyes looking down at her with a hint of sadness in them. “We should probably get you to a hospital…” And after that, Pain would be stuck with the burden of burying his old arch nemesis….

Re: In America; Invite only: Pain + Chaos
Scarletta winced at the very idea of Pain intentionally killing anyone and began to protest when Brock barked a command at her. To hell was she staying out of it, the girl was young, probably hadn't even got to 20 years old yet and Scar didn't really want Pain carrying round more sorrow, anger and blame. It's just how he was but he didn't need to have any more on his shoulders messing with his mind. She shook her head slightly when he first asked her to stop and proceeded with her dialogue until he snapped Let. Go. She'd never heard him speak like that to anyone. Instantly she did remove her hands but more from shock than fear. Of course if he was in that state she should probably have not let go at all and deliberately pushed herself in the way, the thought was confirmed when she saw him draw his fist back and she winced as he slammed it forward. No way would she have been able to move in front of his fist in time but thankfully he just slammed it into the truck. Opening one eye slowly she glanced between them before noticing the click in him.
Scar couldn't help but smile ever so slightly and she moved away from them quietly, she wasn't going to get in the way of their first bonding moment. She walked a bit down the street to where she had left her bag of things and slowly bent over and picked it up. Scarletta was getting tired now, she may be stubborn and more durable than normal humans but she had lost a lot of blood and there were splodges of colour crossing her vision. She hadn't even heard Pain walk up behind her so when she turned round a flicker of shock crossed her face before her blue eyes flickered to the girl who was laying on the floor behind him.
"You did good Pain," she said softly and then gently touched his cheek, just a fain warm touch to show she wasn't mad or angry at him and that she had thought he'd done well. When he mentioned the hospitall she smiled sheepishly.
"Yeah I think I need a hospital..." she admitted quietly.
