Long Live the King
Jason took his seat at the cafe, ordering a tea from a passing waitress. His gaze glanced across the customers, nattering away about who's with who, who'll be promoted or what some actor pulled off with special effects. A few learned were discussing novels, most popular trash but one or two good titles showed up. His head rotated a little, taking in the vista of the sea before him, though off to the north sat a dock with boats bobbing too and fro in the water, the view was largely empty of people, unsurprising. Winter did not tend people towards the beach.
He was shielded from the cold by his shirt and jacket, both of strange design, but the bewitching display caused the attentions of others to move around him. Even the waitress later on would be unable to say for certain what he looked like, of course his companion, tucked away safely in the folds of his coat, cunning hidden so that none could see the red marbled sheath in wihch it lay.
His tea arrived and he took a sip, the warm liquid doing little to relax him. Today was important, and he fully expected to see a face he hadn't seen in 10 years to enter the cafe any moment. That is assuming her style hadn't changed.
-Would be most anti-climatic to come here, and learn she never got the note- The note contained the name of the cafe, a familiar seal in wax, and a time and date that would occur in the next 2 minutes.
Jason took another sip.
-I will claim the title once more-

Re: Long Live the King
Chelle was pulling her feet into a pair of boots, the spiked heel being something of a weapon in some peoples eyes. Her lips were clinging to a cigarette. She had the note mailed to her with an oddly familiar seal in her hand and was passing it to her helping hand of the day. "Do not lose that, or your ass is mine," she muttered and moved off toward the door, grasping her leather trench coat and pulling it around of her. The dark red leather looked good against her pale complexion. She cleared her throat and stabbed her cigarette's ember to nonexistent as she scaled the stairs to her garage. "We have ten minutes, let's go!" she barked the order, a growl passing her throat while she snatched the letter. She moved to her own car and pointed toward the helping hand. "You are to make sure no one is out of line.. And I mean no one. If I come home and see that things are the way I've left it, I swear to you, darling, you're dead to me." The door to her car was slammed, and the key was inserted to the ignition. She turned toward herself and felt the car roar to life. It was a magnificent feeling. Her chest heaved a heavy sigh and she pulled out of the garage, leaving her villa behind.
She was driving casually, though looked at the clock and then to the GPS she had entered the cafe's name into. She pulled up across the street, parallel parking. With a turn of the key, she left it in the ignition, her form stepping out. She looked like a model to those around of her, and a few jaws dropped. Heads turned, and some women were expressing an emotional jealousy all over their face. Her clothes, all being of a designer's taste, were not to be in the market for months. She slipped her jacket off and left it within the seat while she stepped around toward the man sitting alone, sipping his tea. She anchored herself into the seat across from him and smiled, pushing the letter back toward him. She then leaned back, looked him dead in the eye, and her lips curled into a mocking Cheshire. "It's been too long since I've seen this seal upon a letter addressed to my villa... So do tell, what brings you to grace my presence?"

Re: Long Live the King
Jason watched as she strutted in, men considering divorce and women considering homosexuality at the sight of her. They had good taste, but such simple adoration would more than likely bore her, if she was anything like he remembered.
-Well more than that, she hasn't aged a day- he mused as she sat down, a small smile breaking over his face. She thrust the note back to him, and Jason ignored the looks everyone was giving them, and gave her a look up and down.
'You haven't changed a bit,' he put the tea down, revealing his bemused expression, 'it's been at least a decade, and not one line more,' he looked to the side breifly, at the waitress who served him earlier, 'you like a drink of something? the tea, is plain, but palatable, can't speak for the rest of the menu though.'

Re: Long Live the King
She smiled cheekily and let her eyes of auburn cast themselves over the male's form. He was indeed the younger man she had met a few times when she, herself, was a sliver younger. She let her hand waved casually, looking to the waitress. "Water on ice; no lemon," she recited and then leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs in a suave manner. The whole aura about her was just screaming all kinds of things. Alarms were going off. She was hot stuff indeed. And it was true; men would consider divorce, and women would desire a chance to be alone with her. It was a secret that she could just hear buzzing around her. She licked her lips and looked at him again. This time, their eyes met and she just let the gentle, nonchalant blinking that occurred naturally to break their gaze. "I see you've grown up, Jason," she purred and let one of her hands move to wrap around the water that was immediately rushed to her. She had a feeling this waitress was working for an amazing tip. She sipped the water and breathed in a relaxed fresh breath of cool air pulled from the lip of the glass. She sat it down, her hand shifting around the perspiring glass. She etched her nails against it, drawing little designs in the foggy surface.

Re: Long Live the King
Jason smiled, 'nice to know you remember me,' he purred as well, dropping his tone, 'and here I thought I was an easy boy to forget.' He took another sip and leant in a little, intercepting her gaze and looking into her eyes, his expression falling for a moment.
'I do not bring all the best news, several years ago, Walter....,' his gaze wavered for a moment, 'you recall the bombing of the financial summit? Walter was caught in the explosion, and killed.' He waited to see her response, he'd made sure Walter's name never made the papers, but it wouldn't suprise him if she still knew, somehow.

Re: Long Live the King
She continued drawing within the foggy surface, her eyes tracing the male while she nodded and sighed gently. "Honestly.. I knew about it. And I was at his funeral... It was a brief appearance. I saw you then, and knew you would find out his secrets sooner or later," she took a chance to breathe, smiling lightly. She was going to have to toy with him a little bit. She took another sip of her water and then lifted her hand from the glass, leaving an imprint of her hand, as well as an odd circular pattern of designs opposite her palm. She laid her hands upon her lap and let her head tilt gently. Her hair cascaded over her shoulder, falling to the left upon the head tilting motion. She stood and looked down at him. "The position, First Knight, has been taken by another member in the organization.. You could fall underneath his rank as a simple knight. Your father, though, was one of the best First Knight's to ever have in Thrones," she boasted, letting her form walk around to stand behind of Jason. She leaned forward, and she could just feel the eyes upon her backside. Her hands placed upon his shoulders carefully, her eyes closing while she felt his shoulder muscles through his shirt. "Though.. there is one position open... I doubt you're up for it.." And after that, she stepped back around, picked up her water, drank enough to keep her from getting parched, and she stepped across the street to her car. "You can either join me and find out the rank, or stay and accept your position as a knight," she stated, opening the car door while she looked toward him for an answer.

Re: Long Live the King
Micheal smiled, she was toying with him, goading him, testing him. 'There are many ways to carry on my Father's legacy, Thrones is but one.'
It was a hollow statement, they both knew he would follow her. He watched her sauntering towards the car. Finishing the last of his tea he got up, and put down a few notes for payment, paused, and then left another for a tip for the waitress. Despite trembling she hadn't spilled a drop of either drink.
His coat swayed as he followed Chelle towards the car, moving at an easy that matched hers. She knew he would come, but he would come in his own time, no blind pawn following orders, but a loyal ally.
-Loyalty before obediance-
He got in on the passenger side, taking a moment to adjust the seat for his size. Even then we was still cramped.
'What position is it? and what must I do to seize it?'

Re: Long Live the King
She didn't speak. She cranked the car, dismissed her safety belt, and pressed the gas. She then peeled out, tires squealing upon her departure. She smiled over to him and let her eyes glance to the road occasionally. "King. What's so odd is someone else has decided to come for the position... So for the time being... we'll just have to test your strength, intelligence, and charm..." She slowed at a red light for a moment and smirked. A purr passed her lips, though it only being a mocking one, her foot mashing the gas as she pulled the clutch. She sped through two cars passing the intersection. She just barely grazed by; a honking of horns follow and then she heard sirens. This was going to be fun. She popped the clutch again, shifting down and then locking up for a moment. She turned a sharp curve and clutched it back up a gear. She moved her hands, one sliding to slap him back into his seat. She looked to him and let her eyes speak for her. This was fun, and she was sure he was have some fun, too. "Help me fasten myself in," she stated with a chuckle and arched her back, her free hand moving to slide into the harness seat-belt; this car wasn't ordinary; it was a racing sports car. She was in love with speed, and found it fun to do so, stirring up the cops' skirts and ruffling their panties at the same time.

Re: Long Live the King
Jason's eyes widened at the thought of being King. A smile broke over his face. -King, now that is a suitable title-
He forewent a seat belt himself, cramped enough that he was well braced against impacts, but he did reach over to help with Chelle's. His hand lightly caressed her skin as it slid across to grab the strap.
'I hope this isn't your idea of a low profile,' he teased as his other hand reached into a fold in in his coat and produced a small knife. Though he preferred Garoken, it was sometimes more prudent to use conventional blades. With practiced thought he reached into himself and found the fire of his soul. He took a small portion, barely more than a spark and fed it to the knife, which took on a wicked gleam.
'Call me old fashioned,' he sighted his target, a truck that Chelle was racing past. 'but I like it a little more quiet.' With a flick of his wrist, he threw the blade at the network of cables linking truck to trailer. In his mind's eye he saw it twirl slicing effortlessly through the primary airbrake line. With hlaf it's brakes out the truck swerved across the road behind them before tipping. Two loud smashes and several screeches sounded out from behind the overturned trailer, dampening the sirens for a few minutes.
'I do hope that truck wasn't carrying anything dangerous,' A vicious grin crossed his mouth, before he turned to look back at Chelle.

Re: Long Live the King
She had let her eyes cascade over to the truck that lost it's chance to brake. She chuckled and looked toward Jason and smiled. She revved and slowed for a moment, bringing the car to a standstill. She looked at the wreck and watched as a simple spark occurred. The trailer that the big rig was hauling had paper in it. Yes, paper. Probably for a school. The trailer had hit hard and opened. She felt bad... paper was hard to come by. She looked at Jason and slammed her car into reverse and pulled them to the wreck site. She stopped the car, slammed into park, slipped out of her seat belt, and exited the vehicle. "Stay here before you cause anymore damage," she growled dangerously while moving toward the car. She reached into the cabin of the big rig and grabbed the fire extinguisher and moved to the small fire starting near the severed wires. She used the fire extinguisher to her full advantage and moved around, making sure no one was hurt. She explained to the police she was just toying with them and gave them money to keep them quiet. They knew they money was really for the damages caused by this minor catasrophe. They were only after her ass to cause a show. "Thank you, officers!" she called while moving to step back into her car, where Jason had been waiting. They saw her as a minor hero now. She sighed and looked at him while her hands fell onto the steering wheel. "What were you thinking?" she questioned while sliding the car into drive and pulling off toward the road that would take them up to her estate.

Re: Long Live the King
'I was thinking of a lovely restaurant that's around here somewhere,' he dropped the gleeful tone in his voice, 'I was giving a demonstration. I will not be a lackey that purely takes orders, nor do I think that's what you want. Like it or not, regardless of who gets the job, your King with lay out plans, and maybe they won't mesh so well with yours. Likely because you won't have told him all the details.'
He chose his words very carefully, 'back there was an example. With time comes understanding a certain insight into what you choose to show of your personality, but in the meantime, I make my own judgements of a situation and what is called for. You can either have faith in my judgement, which is only going to be effective if you tell me everything, or watch my every single step, in which case you might as well be running the show yourself.'
Jason let the comment hang for a moment, 'I will never jeapordise you or Thrones, but mistakes are going to happen. So punish me now if you need to, it will save time.'

Re: Long Live the King
Black Arrow stood on the top of a fairly large building in Los Angeles. At least twenty stories tall. His eyes glowed a bright teal, as he scanned the streets with the enhanced vision from his mask. Equipped with all of his gadgets, Arrow was prepared for the worst L.A. had to offer. His had his bow around one shoulder and his quiver filled with various devices wrapped around the other. Black Arrow stood with his arms crossed, waiting for something to happen. It was a calm night in Los Angeles, a heavy wind flew through the air. It seemed like it would be another quite night. Arrow flipped his hood off, letting his hair flow in the breeze. With the other hand, he reached in the hidden pouch in the back of his utility-belt. Spike pulled out a lighter and a thin, neatly rolled joint, and places it between his lips. Moving his hand over the joint shielding it from the wind, Spike sparked the joint and inhaled the first hit. Placing his lighter back in his hidden pouch, Spike looked up at the stars and exhaled the smoke. All he could do now was relax, and wait for something to happen.
The sound tires squealing followed by car horns caught Spike's attention. He stood up and took one last inhale from the roach then flicked it off the edge of the building. While exhaling he flipped his hood back up and walked over to the other side of the building to see what just happened. Police sirens started to go off, following a speeding race car. Black Arrow could see the car now, it just took a sharp turn and started speeding down the road in front of him. As the car raced down the street, some kind of device flew from the window, and hit a truck's cable connect to it's trailer. The truck had no chance, swerving off the road then crashing, Arrow had a jump in now. Reaching into his quiver and pulled out a Grappling Spike, Black Arrow stabbed one side into the concrete wall of the sky scraper, aimed then clicked the first button on the handle bar. Launching the second spike at the wall of a two story building, Arrow then clicked the second button. Flying forward off the building, Black Arrow began to pick up a lot of speed as he soared down from the building. Preparing himself, Arrow brassed for impact. Putting his feet in front of him, Black Arrow collided with the wall then let go of the handle bar, and slid down the wall. It hurt, but most of damage was absorb into his suit.
Landing on one knee, Arrow looked up and saw the car was at a stop. It drove back to the crash site and the driver was talking to the police, she slip them some money then started walking back to her car. Black Arrow didn't recognize the female, but the police weren't going to do anything about it. Arrow used the little time he had to his advantage, he wasn't gonna let her get away with that just because she flashed around some cash to the police. Sprinting onto the road that the car would have to drive over, Arrow reached into one of his pouches on his utility-belt and pulled out several razor caltrops.
(Item: Caltrops
Ability: These special device is perfect for knocking out care tires. After these caltropes peirce into something, they start to spin at extremely high speeds, instantly tearing through normal any normal car tire.
.)
Arrow then dropped the caltops at his feet in the street, so if she try'd to run him over, she wouldn't get away. After dropping the caltops, Arrow used sleight of hand, and reached into two more pouches on his utility-belt then stood with his his arms crossed his chest hiding what he was holding. Even if Chelle saw him, she wouldn't see what was in his hands. In his left hand was a smoke bomb and in the right a flash bang, two devices that could get him out of just about any situation Queen Chelle could throw at him. All Black Arrow had do now was stand there and wait for her to make the first move.

All Black Arrow had do now was stand there and wait for her to make the first move.

Re: Long Live the King
. o O ( You do know that Chelle stopped a fire, and helped some of the injured, correct? Don't leave out that minor detail. The money was for the damages, just the let cha' know.. Even though she had intended for it to keep them quiet. She knew the money would be used for some good. )
Chelle sighed and gently let off the gas and pressed into the brakes. She let her hands shift, pulling the car into first gear, then sliding into park. She ripped the e-brake and carefully unbuckled herself. She was a lot more calm in this situation. A man had come from nowhere and placed himself all big and happy in front of her car, and even went so far as to throw cal-tropes on the road. She sighed and looked to Jason. "Get out of the car," she ordered gently, allowing herself to open the winged doors to he Lamborghini. She smiled pleasantly toward Steven and allowed her form to take a few placid steps toward him. She had watched his hands closely and even went so far as she breathe in the surroundings to pick up some form of weaponry, though it was defensive. She could also sense Steven's reason for being here. She was going to avenge those people. Those people that were fine. Well, Chelle was not going to fight. She looked to Jason and smiled. "Hero, villain, or in between, you're going to prove yourself worthy, then we'll have a later dinner.. that is, if you're not too hurt." She waved toward Jason to step forward and she stepped back to slide her rump onto the hood of her car. She sat cross legged and smiled. This was going to be entertaining.

Re: Long Live the King
Jason nodded and slid out of the car too, he had his own impression that the man was here due to the crash, else he likley would've stopped them sooner.
He let the lessons of combat flow through his mind as he moved around, between Chelle and this intruder. His arms were crossed into different pouches. That was pratical for neither running or fighting, but throwing. Jason strode up to the edge of the caltrops and stopped, looming like a pillar over the sea of spikes before him. They looked sharp and even though it was debatable whether they could actually puncture his boot, it would certainly lodge there, making further footing difficult.
He considered how to approach, and what to do there, the bow contraption looked rugged enough to withstand melee, he'd try to cut the bow string though. It was more unwieldy in close combat than his sword. Jason mapped out a path of clear areas in the spikes while kneeling down to pick up one, fingering it.
'I hope you've got a good reason for interrupting us. Our buisness is of special import to me,' he added a low growl to his voice, 'You may pass if you wish, but if you want a confrontation. It's your move first.'

Re: Long Live the King
(I left it out because I didn't think I had to quote all of your actions word for word, and because I started doing something while you were helping them out but if it matter's I won't be trying to arrest you, and I will point out that you did the right thing going back there and helping them out. But it even if you helped, Jason still caused the truck the flip and crash, which isl against the law. So I guess that gives me a good reason for only fighting him anyway.)
Black Arrow stood with his arms crossed across his chest in the middle of the street, waiting as the car started to approach him. She stopped the car not far the caltops that were a couple yards away from his feet. She either saw the caltrops on the road or didn't have it in her to run him over. Either way he got her attention. The car stopped and Chelle stepped out, followed by her passenger, Jason. Arrow kept his arms crossed hiding the smoke and flash bomb, waiting for one of them to make their move.
Chelle leaned back onto her car, and ordered Jason take the lead and try and deal with Black Arrow by himself. She would soon learn from her mistakes. Steven was a cocky, but he also didn't underestimate his opponent. Jason keeled down admiring Steven's razor sharp caltop, and gave Steven the option of running, or making the first move. Foolish choice. Black Arrow could do some quick damage if given the chance, especially when he was already prepared. Steven looked down at Jason, "Sorry to interrupt your 'Special Business', but neither of us are going to be walking away just yet." He said in a deep voice staring straight into Jason's eyes. Looking away from him and over at Chelle, Black Arrow nodded his head at her and spoke, "Good job, I'm happy that you went back to help. 'Ya saved me the trouble." Turning his attention back to Jason, he continued his sentence, "But your friend isn't going anywhere." Directly after finishing his sentence he moved his thumb inside the pin on the flash bomb. Moving his thumb up, pulling then pin out of the flash bang then dropping it out of his right hand. The flash bang started to fall to the floor, falling right in front of his left leg just as he planned. While it was falling, Steven slid his left foot back and watched as the flash bang hit the floor then bounced up a few inches into the air. The second it made it bounced up off the ground, Steven slid his foot forward kicking the flash bang at Jason's face. With a three second trigger, by the time the it got to Jason it should be ready to blow. Even though Steven didn't know Jason's full potential, this would be a good way to test his speed, and endurance. Chelle was far enough away from the smoke bomb that the most it would do to her would be make squint her eyes for a moment, and maybe make her ears ring, but it was the cost for effectively stunning Jason. Right after kicking the flash bang, he moved his left hand out in front of him and clenched his fist, popping the smoke bomb in the palm of his hand. Opening his hand, letting the smoke cover the area between him and Jason, Black Arrow then jumped back, away from his smoke cover and out of the range of his flash bang (That seemed like three seconds, right? If 'ya got a problem just let me know and I'll change it.). Reaching into his quiver, Steven prepared for his next attacked. Switching into thermal vision so he could see through his smoke, then pulling out a frozen arrow all Arrow had to do now was wait and watch Jason's reaction. No matter where he went or what he did, Steven could afflictively see and prepare for it.
