The Requiem (Sergiy, pm if you wanna join)

"Dear lord... why me?" This was Alice's first thought as it started to drizzle, she shivered as the water slowly leached away her body heat. She adjusted her gloves and tied her bandanna around the lower half of her face, she hoped this would help preserve at least a bit of body heat. She then put on her goggles and with a determined nod, she headed into the shortcut, aka the dark alley she had been standing in front of. She was heading home from the library, she went to return a book... and ended up staying too long going on the computer. She sighed, wishing that she was home where the library was only three minutes away. LA was great... but still. Alice quickly banished the thought from her head, it was only replaced by another one... she slowly realized that this was probably not a good idea, she had been down this alley many times during the day... but never at night. Her forebodings were reinforced by shadowy figures and raucous laughter up ahead. She upped her pace, hoping that they would just leave her alone, but of course not.

"Hey missy, this road here's a tollway, you gotta pay to go through." the man said with a leer, holding his hand out. The men behind him laughed as well, pushing at each other and blocking the alleyway. "Um... I don't have any money on me... sir..." Alice said, fidgeting and getting ready to run if necessary. The man smirked and seemed to become more menacing, "C'mon kid, you gotta have some dough on ya, hand it ova!" He growled out the last part and that was all the incentive Alice needed to run. She quickly turned around and bolted, but as she pulled ahead, she suddenly found herself falling and hitting the ground. She quickly got up but they had surrounded her, she shrank as they glared at her, ready to take anything valuable from her they could find.

Sam, had been wearing boxes, socks, boots, pants, a think tank top, all in black, a black leather jacket, black gloves, and a back full of stuff not worth maintaining He had stormed, pass the ally way, as the storm picked up. The LA streets were dangerous at night even he knew that, and this city was full of troublesome fuckers. He had heard, voices, and a Girls voice, and then a running voice, then a stop and move running noises, and then stopping, He moved quickly, to see what the fast was about, And looked a Gang of people surrendering a girl on the ground. HE took a more angry look, as he tossed his back away. And begun to speak.

" Leave the girl be, you little faggots." He had said, the group turned and faced the man, he sighed as one of them spoke." What did you say?" His voice was hard to understand mostly to slang. He cracked the head and made his way toward the gang of people, at the sudden they had reacted.

One of them threw a punch at him, he grabbed there hand and extend, and kick towards the next one while, breaking his hand the one that had punched him. And the second thing doing a spinning vollykick at one's head, sending flying at the wall. Then the group decided, to do something, a few took knifes, others took guns, he smirked, and begun to speak," Not nice." The one with Knives, hand begun knocked out cold, by his doing and the two with the guns, had shot Sam, in the stomach, he took the pain withstanding it, it did in fact hurt, but then he moved forward, they shot more, eventually he got next to the took, and broke there necks killing them, he had taken the bullets out by themselves, after he had healed, and spoke."God that hurt." He picked his bag up, and walked over towards, her extending his hand."God I need a new, shirt. And Are you alright there, female." HE asked gentle, the Boy that had safed her looked 17.

Alice was frightened and seeing no way out of it, she prepared to use her powers, but before she could, a manner of help came along. She suddenly heard a male voice sound out, the leader and his men quickly turning towards the new threat. As the new guy approached, Alice tried to get a good look at him but the gang rushed towards him. As the man took down three guys in sucession, the gang decided to tilt the odds to their side by bringing out the weapons. The one's with knives were quickly dispatched but then, the two men with guns shot him in the stomach. Alice gasped, getting ready to help but he somehow kept on going despite the fact he was still being shot at. Once he got close enough, he grabbed them and snapped their necks. Alice backed away slightly, suitably frightened of the strange man.

As he busied himself taking out the bullets, she watched as the wounds started to heal unnaturally fast... he was a metahuman, she could tell that much. As he healed, she quietly tried to slip away but instead, she once again, trpped, this time on one of the dead men's out stretched arms. She let out a cry as she fell, hitting the ground. She sighed in relief, glad that she didn't land on the bodies. But she then realized that the man had finished healing and was now heading towards her, she scooted back slightly but found herself somehow hitting a wall. As he held his hand out and asked if she was alright, she got a really good look at him, he looked about 17 or so. She was silent for a moment before deciding to trust him... for now. "Yeah... I think so." she said, replying to his question. She quickly stood up, not taking his hand though. "Um... so thanks I guess." she said awkwardly, not looking towards the dead and unconcious bodies. Honestly, she was slightly in shock.

He looked at her surprised she was running away but true anyone would after seeing what he could do. He looked at her and spoke. It was short and sweet." I should get you home or walk you if you don't mind, besides you owe me, and your family is probably worried sick about you, Shall we get going." He asked slowly.

As he offered to walk her home, she was a bit wary... but she supposed he seemed nice enough.... After a period of deliberation, she nodded, "Fineeee." she grumbled, heading down the alley again. She sighed, rubbing her eyes, life just kept getting stranger, and stranger, and stranger. As she headed out, she looked around to make sure no other threats were around before heading out. After a few moments, she got up the courage to speak to him, "Um... so are you a hero or somethin'?"

He followed her and looked around he was bored but happy he helped the girl, Then he spoke as she had finished." Girl, are you triple or something, Of Course I am not a hero, I am just a Normal human trying help a young lady." He said slowly before speaking." Got anything good to eat at home?" He asked a weird question.

Alice turned around and stared at him as he said he was normal, "Dude, you took down like ten guys without any weapons AND you were shot five times... yet you're still standing and the only sign of you being hurt is the fact that there's blood on your shirt." she glared at him slightly when he asked for food, "Fine, I'll get you some food." she muttered, before turning around and walking again, a bit irked by this whole situation.

He looked at her and followed her, before speaking." I am Normal, See, I have blood marks." He said in a wary voice this girl was on to him. " Thanks for the food, anyways shouldn't we be heading home, weren't your parents be worrying?" He asked slowly.

Alice stopped and turned around again, "A, my mom ain't even home. B, they are only on your shirt, I frickin' saw the wounds heal and last time I checked, I'm not crazy." she said, walking closer and poking him with a finger, she hated when people treated her like she was stupid, absolutely hated it. She glared up at him considering he was 8 inches taller then her and waited for his reply.

He looked at her and spoke." Then let's get you home before mom get's there. And don't poke me, And I think you fell hard, and the version blurred in your eyes, This are just blood stems." He was beginning to worry, He should have been in his hero robe, but some like this was when he was nearly exposed hopefully he can talk her out of it.

She wasn't buying it and she was getting angrier and angier by the second. "Dude, I ain't stupid, I'd know if my vision was blurred thank you very much." she said, still glaring, this time poking in the general area of where the wounds were, discreetly feeling if there were wounds there... there was nothing. She then folded her arms, still glaring at him. Unbeknownst to her, the shadows were starting to respond to her anger, shifting slightly, almost unoticable.

He looked at her, and spoke yet again." Look please stop poking me, I safe your life, be happy. When you tr-" He paused he noticed that she was not buying any of this bullshit." Yes I am a Hero." He said slowly."Let's get going I'm Hungry." He urged her to.

She smiled when he finally caved in, the shadows stopped moving as well in response to her now good mood. "Eh k, let's go." she said cheerfully, she was talking to an actual hero! This was awesome... he was a bit... weird sure but ah wells. She walked quickly, taking seemingly random turns into alleys but these were all carefully chosen shortcuts. Thank goodness they didn't come across any more trouble though, that's for sure. Finally, they arrived at a small apartment building, she put her index finger up to her lips in the universal be quiet gesture. With that, they entered.

He followed her, then he would walk in the room before quietly, Speaking."Nice place." He said waiting, for her to reply.

Alice quickly led him up the stairs and to the proper door, taking out the keys and unlocking it before quickly going in and closing the door. In hindsight, this probably wasn't the best idea but hey, she could protect herself... kind of. "Yeah, this place is pretty cool." she said with a nod, glancing at him for a second before looking away. "So what d'ya wanna eat?" she asked, moving towards the small kitchen.
