Personality: First and foremost, "Jack", as he likes to be called, is a gentleman. He always treats those around him with respect and dignity, no matter the social standing, gender, ethics, etc. of that person. He loves to help others, taking every opportunity to better the community and those around him. He isn’t selfless though, but he still tries to put others first. He is almost always calm, and has been since a child. Emotions like anger seem not to affect him. He loves the finer stuff of life, but knows the rules of moderation. He is also very intelligent, able to hold a deep conversation in many subjects. All and all, he seems to be the model man.

Despite how perfect he may seem though; there is a darker side to this man. Many people can sense that, he simply has a strange and unsettling atmosphere around him. The issue is, he’s addicted to killing, believing that he needs to do so to keep his powers. Whether that is true or not, one may never know since he has never taken any chances. Thankfully, he restricts himself to one killing a month, trying not to kill anyone innocent. During the killing, he releases all pent up aggression and stress, creating very gruesome deaths. He still feels guilt though, which is why he tries so hard to be selfless though he is naturally kind.

History: Jack was born a perfectly normal child in New York, besides the fact he was born to a rich family. But they were a loving family, always taking care of him and making sure he had everything he’d need and just about everything he’d want. Despite this, he was a humble child, always kind and courteous to others. Because of these factors, he was singled out as a child, shunned and bullied.

He was 15 when his powers awakened. He was taking a walk when he was suddenly mobbed. In that one split moment, he broke, those 15 years of frustration and anger spilled out. He killed the man brutally, and by the time he came to his senses, the man was in pieces. He was horrified with what he had done, and right there and then, he tried to kill himself. Taking a piece of glass, he slit his wrist, only to find in healed up in seconds. He tried everything, but in the end, he just knocked himself out.

When he woke up, his mind rationalized that his powers were given to him for a reason… but in exchange to keep them, he has to kill. Ready to believe anything at that point to relieve his guilt, he decided that he would only kill once a month and he would help anyone that needed it. Three years later, his parents died in a car crash, making him the owner of the large family fortune amassed through his father’s company, which is now run by those more able then Jack ever will be (though he still gets royalties).

Jack ended up going to college, majoring with top marks in philosophy and sociology. He soon became known as a philanthropist, donating in many charities. Not many have seen him face to face though, as he usually stays in his large penthouse, speaking through representatives that get instructions by phone or email. He usually comes out only at night to take walks in Central Park and such. The people love him… but mystery always surrounds him.

Powers: He has super speed, stronger than normal strength, and with an extremely strong regeneration factor. He also has a very high pain tolerance.

Roleplay Sample: Jack took a deep breath of the night air. The park was such a beautiful place at night… it was marred by the need though… the terrible need. He sighed, adjusting the wide brimmed hat on his head until it covered most of his face. Suddenly, he heard footsteps coming towards him. Jack didn’t even stop, continuing to walk with a serene expression on his face.

“Hey! You! Stop right there.”

Jack slowly came to a stop. He sighed, eyes closing as a sad expression appeared on his face. “Yes? How may I help you?”

“Gimme your wallet right now! Or I’ll shoot!”

Jack turned around to see a kid who didn’t even look like he was done with high school. He pulled at his hat, making sure that it continued to cover his face. “Please, I would advise leaving me alone right no---“

“I SAID NOW!!!” The kid started to raise his gun, ready to shoot. There was no remorse on his face, no emotion except anger. Jack saw this and before the gun was fully raised, he was behind the teen.

“I’m sorry…” With that, he was gone. He ripped and tore at the kid’s body, lost to the world. If anyone saw him right now, they might have mistaken Jack for an animal. The teen obviously struggled, and as Jack tore at the kid’s throat, ready for the killing blow, he got shot. But that was futile, as he killed the mugger right at that moment.

He slowly came to his senses. He looked at the gunshot on his hand… the bullet had passed right through. He sighed, watching as the wound closed… it would be fine. Jack then turned his attention to the scene of the crime. It was a bloody mess. That was the only way to describe it. He shook his head, but there was no remorse… the teen had killed, and had no regret for the innocent lives he ended… he wouldn’t be missed.

With that, Jack walked away, humming a slow dirge. No more killing or death… until next month.
