International Affairs

I think the Europe section should be renamed; "International Affairs" so that it is capable of handling the gambit of all that that entails. I have been waiting some time for a section to post my Turkey thread in and still have no application to do so. I realize admin/mods are busy enough without me harping on them, but I would really enjoy it if I could be accommodated, so that I could showcase my narrative skills in the chosen environment.

Poor Nightkill has been forced to run two threads; one based in Beijing, the other in the Himalayas; in an inappropriate section. Although this may not bother him, it does me. I feel in order to provide the most realistic and believable environment possible, it is our duty to provide appropriate sections in which to run them. By separating the sections it evokes a true feeling of distance that goes unnoticed otherwise. I have witnessed on several occasions, characters becoming involved in scenarios that otherwise would go unnoticed by their character due to locale. Although I realize that is convenient, it cheapens the experience and lends less credibility to our already cliche genre of RPing.

I welcome any rational counterpoints in this discussion, and look forward to the broadening horizon that lay ahead.

I will rename so, I will also put an "Other" section to avoid any more confusion.

Also isn't Turkey supposed to be joining the EU soon? If this RP is set in the 2020s we could just assume they're a member.
