What is 2028 like?
A dumb question, but one I felt like asking. The in universe year being 2028, a couple years ahead of us irl, but augmented by metahumans, aliens, and mysticism, what is life like?
Is technology substantially more advanced?
Are people on a whole more at home with strange happenings since people in tights are flying around?
The lore on site helped, but I'm just wondering about the finer details and minute elements.

Just my head canon: Metahumans / Atypical individuals are fairly uncommon, you're unlikely to meet one like celebrities, however social media and the more than occasional super powered thrown down in the city has made them a genuine concern. Super fights feel common because almost every such incident is reported.
Technology would have likely adapted in reaction to such super-powered individuals being a likely occurrence. Cause a big scene and the stun guns and heavy ordinance might come rolling in. People would be scared of metahumans/ atypical events as often as they are of terrorist attacks and natural disasters.
