Historical Heresies

For this experimental first part of a TWO PART contest, we want you to give us a character. But not just any character. This is a character that is both unique, and historically important. Let me explain this carefully. I’m not looking for you to make Abraham Lincoln but he’s a Superman expy created with Druidic magic or what have you. I’m looking for wholly original characters we can insert into our history. They can be unknown historical figures such as Jack the Ripper, but they have to have been mysterious and unknown. No great generals or political leaders of our world. Only ones for SHRP. This sort of thing is generally looked down upon by the staff anyway for political and religious reasons.

Be ready to use these characters though, because after this initial contest; we will have half a year to do an entire thread with other contestants! So now more than ever it’s important to sign up below and talk to other people entering! I’ll explain the rules for the second part when the contest starts, Nomad.

Now, I strongly recommend that you work with your fellow entrants to create characters to ensure that you have characters to interact with in your chosen time period. It would be a shame if you created a character for the Stone Age and the only characters you had the chance to interact with are immortals or a time traveling couch surfing caveman.



History class or something. I don’t know.

Your job is to create an advancement and story that makes sense both in terms of your character and in universe while still being unique to your character.




The concept here is how good the idea for your advancement is, and how well it fits with your character in the first place.



This goes without saying that we're looking at the overall application and flow of the application. How pleasing it was to read, and how easy it was to understand. Was the story really well written? Did it make sense for the character? Are the powers perfect?

With the three main components of Creativity, Concept, and Execution there will be a grading scale of 1-10. 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.



Bonus points will be handed out based on two categories: Grammar will be graded on a scale of 1-5. 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. Graphics will be graded on a scale of 1 - 3. 1 being the basic template, and a 3 being a fully customized character sheet.
