Description: "I simply don't understand. I cannot grasp people's fear, false compassion, and hypocrisy. Why is it that we allow the weak and rigid to run our world? They just want the safe, cautious, and tedious road to the future, but it only leads to absolute destruction. Under the guise of keeping everyone from harm, they seal our fate. These weak minded, spineless fakes halt the world's progress, and they call it noble.

I've seen power beyond what most could imagine. I have seen, in my generation and the next, ability that would propel us thousands of years into the future. But are we encouraging this? Are we fostering this unprecedented opportunity for growth? Are we looking beyond the boundaries we had for so long bound ourselves with?

No. instead we fight. Instead we persecute those we see as different. Instead we run scared in the face of possibility. Instead, we call those that want to bring us into the new era, the heroic innovators of our time, monsters. I simply don't understand. I cannot grasp the irrationality of this conflict. For what is it that we can achieve in this struggle? Enlightenment? Power? Improvement? No, if the rejection of change continues, all that will come of it is ashes.

So, I call not only to metahumans, the Risen, and the great, but the small, the Fallen, and humanity as a whole. For the betterment of our world, let us be selfless. Let us pave the way for the millennia in front of us, and let us put an end to this blind hatred of change. There are facilities, think tanks, organizations, media outlets, and what I can only describe as torture chambers all over this world that stand in our way. It's time to end this.

They will perhaps continue to persecute, fight, and harm those they think represent a threat to the status quo, but we will endure. We are strong, we are smart, and we won't stand for this any longer.

Difficulty: Difficult. Lots of words, and three threads long. A lack of posting will be dealt with by somehow removing the inactive character from the thread, so by signing up you grant me permission to do so after a reasonable wait (couple weeks at most).

Dabbler, aka the immortal hellbeast, aka the dark witch of portals, aka That Wretched Thing, aka Not Allowed to Have Fun, will provide her considerable logistical powers to the cause of the villains... or be kicked out of their group halfway for being Dabbler.

So, here is how this will go:

Pat, Woof, Zell, and I will be in the first hread. Rise will be attempting to free a large amount of test subjects from one of the largest black sites in the US. The goal is partially to free these tortured inhumans, but it's also to exploit the situation for the purposes of propaganda. Once the prisoners are free and Rise has the proof they need, they will expose it to the public. Lucas, Little Ryan, Silus, and Jake will make up the heroic side, attempting to stop unnecessary loss of life and the inevitable violent metahuman outcry that will take place if the propaganda is released.

Thor, Nekro, Juney, and I will be in the second thread. Rise will be attempting to infiltrate Ultima Media, a large corporate body stationed in LA that owns a huge amount of news outlets around the globe, and who has been responsible for a majority of the negative coverage of Rise. The operatives will coerce, in their own particular way, the board of directors into henceforth only providing positive coverage of Rise to the public. The operatives will also be hijacking the company's servers in order to break the news of Thread One to the world. If successful, Rise will have a respected and influential platform to radicalize metahumans and appeal to the compassion of the public by revealing what is done to those with abilities. The heroic side will be Caroline, my own Nicolas Flamel, and a mystery character.

Finally, after both of those are done, we will have the third thread. Whatever characters that are still in the fight will be welcome to participate. If Rise is successful, a radicalization of many of the countries metahumans will occur, as well as an outcry of the general public which will culminate in a large scale riot in Washington DC. This event will no doubt be further exploited for propaganda by Rise, furthering their narrative.
