Rating
Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

New Player In Every Way
So, to make this post easier, I want to try organizing it because I'm sure it will be a lot.
My knowledge of RPGs:
I've never played a game at all. We've set some up, that always fell through, either because people dropped out, or they just didn't fit the schedule. I have read some rpg books many times out of interest. I've read a lot of D&D 5e, and a lot of Mutants & Masterminds 3e.....that being said, most of it is gibberish to me until I actually get to play.
Games I'm interested in:
Pretty much only superhero RPGs. I don't care if it's something like marvel heroic, Mutants and Masterminds DC, M&M Custom world, or even just one I've never heard of before that is with a superhero theme.
Ideally, I'd prefer an M&M 3e game set in the Marvel Universe. That being said, I have no preferences. I'm just a fan of comic books, and even more so I'm pretty excited to just try playing something if I can get it going.
My Goal:
I guess before anything else, I want to learn how RPGs actually work. Never playing any of them, that's the most important thing right now. Eventually though, I do want to learn how to be a GameMaster, but baby steps.
Another huge goal of mine is to learn the character creation process of M&M and have someone help me step by step because it does get confusing, but with the endless customization I'm very intrigued with it. That being said, I feel like with everything else here, I'm just asking for way too much.
My Question:
Would anybody be willing to try a superhero RPG of some sort for somebody with absolutely no knowledge of the game? If not, it's definitely understandable, I wouldn't want to be a nuisance or ruin the game if I had questions or get confused or something, but I figured I would ask if there's anyway we could get something like that going?
If this is the wrong place to post this too, feel free to redirect me, I wasn't sure if I should post it here or not, lol.

Re: New Player In Every Way
Welcome to SHRP!
We're a forum with role playing done in threads, as characters that you make. The "game" part is earning XP by writing and using that XP to buy advancements for your character. The advancement is up to you, and staff has to approve it.
The Rulebook and the System book can tell you things that I think you'll want to/need to know. You can find them in the announcement area, or even as links in your private messages. ^_^
