Personality: Antisocial, somewhat egotistical. Not used to interacting with other people due to a long sojourn in the mountains of an alternate dimension.

History: Was born in a dimension that runs alongside this one. The people in this land of Auroth, being closer to the supernatural dimensions of the dead, were naturally more aware of their spirits. Having wandered away from his caravan and gotten lost in the foothills of the Drihln Mountains when he was ten years old, Dhiren had to learn to fend for himself. As lived, hunted, and grew in the lonely, vast mountains, his spiritual power grew until he was able to make the earth and rock do his bidding. At the age of nineteen, as Dhiren was exploring one of the neighboring peaks, he found an old, worn-out Echo Pedestal that the mystics of old had used to speak with the dead. As he examined the pedestal, his massive spiritual power activated it, causing a chain reaction that tore him through the dimensional wall and into our world. In the time that he has lived among us, he has had to become inconspicuous, but is still learning the basics of human interaction.

Powers: Massive power over earth and rock. Able to form any unrefined ore, rock, soil, and sand into golems with varying amounts of power and size depending on how much power he uses up. These golems always move very slow independent of their size, and are semi-sentient, carrying out instructions without direct control by Dhiren. He is also capable of molding earth and stone into various shapes like boulders, rough geometric shapes like pyramids and cubes. More complex tools like swords, hammers, and screwdrivers are possible but take a lot of concentration and are impossible during combat. In rocky areas, he is capable of causing the rock to shoot out of the ground like a column, a wall, or a sharpened stake. In sandy or soft-soil environments, he can dive beneath the earth and swim through it as if it were water and cause small, localized sandstorms. If he has time to concentrate, he can compress loose earth into rock or grind rocks into sand. His spiritual power can only reach so far, so if the earth or rock is farther away than about 30-35 yards, he cannot control it. He cannot control metal, any refined ores, bricks, or concrete but can use cut stones or any earth material that has not been extensively handled or refined by humans. His spiritual power can reach through any material substance.

As Dhiren was walking home, he noticed a young woman jogging in the opposite direction on the other side of the road. She waved politely as she jogged past, and Dhiren nodded, walking on. As he reached the top of the hill, he noticed a hooded man in jeans run past him on the other side of the road. He was staring straight ahead with a devious smirk on his face and didn't seem to notice that Dhiren was around. As he closed in on the woman, he put his hand into his pocket. The woman noticed the man when he got to about ten feet behind her and began to run full-tilt. At this point, the mugger pulled out a gun.

"You'd better stop!" he shouted, holding the gun out in front of him as he ran.
"If you don't stop, I'll have t-"

The sidewalk in front of him split and rose up two feet, pushed up from beneath. As he tripped, he dropped his gun, which slid into a street gutter. He got quickly to his feet and spun around to confirm what he saw. All he saw was a hairline crack across the sidewalk and Dhiren walking away. He spun around, searching for the woman, but she had already ducked down another street. He was thinking about giving chase when the ground beneath him gave an ominous rumble. Deciding that he didn't want to know what that rumble meant, he ran back the way he had come.

Lol, I'm bad at coming up with names so I generally go to another site and look up names that mean something.

In this case, "Dhiren" means "Strong One" and has its origins in the Sanskrit Indian language. "Tarin" means "Of the Earth" and apparently has American origins. All this according to babynames.com.

Yep, thats right. You heard it here first folks. Apparently, cult, the name is legit in ENGLISH, lol. Let alone in the cultural language of another dimension. So just let it go already, man!
