Re: Can't fix you
Travis listened absolutely interested, giving a few nods as further explanation about the cold room was given. There were mentions of extending himself into the child, which within itself sounded odd but then again the creatures very existence was odd. It seemed very simple, slowing the body down to avoid any exaggerated reaction within him and causing possible death. Nothing that he would have wanted, especially from someone that had already gone through a lot within his short lifetime. That was when Chris would as his questions, seemingly putting Proarden at some manner of discomfort likely due to his moniker. From an animistic mindset, someone called an Omega would likely seem like the bottom of the social ladder. ”You can answer him. Our naming conventions aren't anything like a wolf pack.” Travis could feel what irritated tension that had risen within the air deflate, likely once his answer had sided with his sibling.
Despite loss of memory, he knew he would not want to piss off Chris of all people, if only because he had to deal with it later. Resting his chin on one of his palms, and fully closing his novel Travis would consider the rest of the explanation. The possibility of weight gain came about, but he doubted that the child was overly vain. If that was the case, then the reassurance that he would lose the weight would smooth that small bit over.
Travis hoped that was the case anyhow.
He hadn’t that much exposure to Zeke compared to Chris, so he only went on what he knew. Which was admittedly limited compared to a neurological expert. ”I just have one more question. What are the risks or potential complications that could come up? Operations, especially ones as invasive as these always have the possibility of going wrong.”

Re: Can't fix you
"Complications can arise in any procedure, of this you are correct. The level of invasiveness is actually quite low. You see I simply must have your little human kit-creature consume part of my essence. It can be cooked into food, or it can be in some way frozen, or injected through a needle. That is the highest level of invasive procedure I wish to preform. The boy's body will naturally take care of everything else." Proarden explained, though he didn't exactly answer the whole question on the potential complications. He wasn't sure that Alpha would still allow him to preform the procedure, though it was a risk he needed to take. He was looking forward to this case, and nothing could stop him. Proarden's body began to split, small clear fluids gushed from his side as two long, thin arms seemed to break from a fleshed over section, the small, boney claws came together before the beast and began to tap on one and other.
"Complications for this procedure could include acute sickness, emesis, and purging behaviors. When dealing with the mind there is always the small issue of brain damage...but that would only happen if YOUR data was wrong, or your measurements were off. Then there is the small possibility of Slumber-Sickness. Slumber-sickness is a catatonic state in which some of my patients enter, and do not wake up from. It is a very small chance, and is exactly why I require the cold room. The only other possible complication is...more common, but providing the child has the will-power it will not be a problem. " The complications were more or less explained or self-explained save for the one, but Zeke has the willpower, doesn't he? Proarden watched as the door opened and Psi returned from escorting Zeke, his entire being seemed far more relaxed than before, which was saying something as he wasn't the most professional of the group. Psi nodded to Travis and Chris before crossing his arms and looking over the bug man with contempt.

Re: Can't fix you
The invasiveness of the procedure itself didn’t sound too much, beyond the fact that he was injecting his essence into Zeke. That sounded a little suspect, but then again this didn’t sound like it gave them too many choices overall. Attempting to correct neurological pathways, well that would be rather difficult within itself. Having things take care of itself from there was optimal, so Travis didn’t have any complaints within that respect of things. The sound of flesh splitting drew his attention to the odd bony arms that produced from the otherwise amorphous mass before him. Grotesque and to some degree even sickening, though he didn’t physically react to that effect. These bony appendages tapping against one another in a gesture that could be called nervous, or even pensive.
”Then there should be no issues. I’m confident my calculations and measurements won’t be wrong.” He said with a minute nod, wondering if the child really did possess the required willpower. That was a good question, but not one that he wanted stated now of all times. That was when Psi and Zeke returned, latter having regained much of his composure, which made things easier for him. Turning attention to Zeke he offered a small smile.
”Well I think that covers everything, so unless you need to say anything else Proarden.”

Re: Can't fix you
Proarden continued to keep himself secluded within Alpha's facility. He did not wish to bring unwanted attention to himself. Zeke had finally slept his way through his built up tension to gain some composure, and Travis worked diligently to produce the required counter-chemical that would help Zeke's body process and act upon his own cognitive processing rather than impulsive reaction. This was going to be a very delicate process, and Proarden didn't want to leave anything to chance. He actually began experimenting with meth upon his own creations, attempting to first-hand and vicareously experience the biological breakdown that occures. What he found was not appealing...
"This is a most interesting development. It would seem that I will need to be quite careful, as the human body begins to regenerate with little encouragement from my cells." He mused as notes were taken. A wing and a transluscent webbing arched up like a bat wing and seemed to form over Proarden's eye. Bioluminescent traces of strange sigils and signs appeared as it began to forcible and very drastically alter the physical form of one "infected" individual. The experimental times had been tested over and over again. Proarden knew he had to take his time...but for now, this was all in the sake of trial and error. Something he would not try upon a child.
Proarden was at this for a week, and now needed only Alpha to come and educate him upon the chemical component he had engineered. With any luck they would both be able to begin surgery very soon.
