Teach Me How To Fight!

Robyn sat on her bed patching up some of her wounds. She had just come from beating down some street goons who had tried to mug some elderly lady. Of course she easily defeated them; but they did manage to still get some shots in, one even managed to leave a nasty gash on her upper arm. "Imagine if they were twice as skilled. I'd would have probably had to take a trip to the hospital." It seemed like nowadays everyone knows karate or whatever. What she needed to do was improve herself, she needed to take some lessons on fighting. Robyn grabbed her computer and sent out an ad titled "Teach me how to fight!" She set the meet up at the nearest park to her at 10:00 pm, she felt it would be better to do it at a later time; so not as many people could see them.

huh, why was it that Jeannie's jobs always had something odd about them. an ad for help learning to fight didn't seem too strange but meeting at a park at night seemed like a weird place to do it.

well, that why they call it odd jobs she guessed. she looked around wondering who she was supposed to meet probably the only other person here at this time of night

It wasn't that far of a walk to the park, it was almost as if she glided over there. She walked through the park's gates, looking around she saw few people there, nothing that stuck out anyway. Just a few dog walkers, some smokers, and what not. As she started to turn something caught her eye, a girl with bright blonde hair. Robyn walked over to the woman; but as she got closer, she saw some of her features, had she seen this person somewhere else?

looking around Jeannie noticed a familiar smell then when she turned around and looked where it was coming from saw a familiar face.

miss Robyn hello! she smiles and waves at the woman coming toward her

Robyn witnessed as the woman turned around and started waving towards her, "Oh, look who it is. Hey Jeannie. So i'm assuming you came here because of my ad or am I wrong?"

"Well I wanted it to be in the middle of the night so that we'd be camouflaged by the darkness, it might worry people if they see two people fighting." She chuckled. "Yeah I want to learn some fighting styles or whatever. I might be interested in learning something that allows me to fight an opponent using as little force as possible..." She continued with her well thought out plan, "That way when I do use my strength I'll be able to cause major damage."

huh I guess so, but if you didn't want to be noticed why not go somewhere private? like your house or something, plus teaching you in the dark would be kinda hard. better lighting would make it easier to see what we're doing.

huh sounds like you might want judo if you don't want to use a lot of force, it's all about leverage and balance.

huh maybe showing you some boxing would be good it's one of the easier ones to learn cause there's not as much to pick up. then maybe some karate in case you want to kick and chop stuff.

huh darn wasn't expecting you to want to start, I thought meeting in the park was to meet about what the ad was for, I'd hate to get grass stains on my nice clothes

expecting she was just going out to meet someone her outfit of a fancy pink blouse and black skirt was kinda impractical for working out in.oh I know I can come stay with you for a week or two to teach you, then I could change into something better suited for the activity, and if it's your place it'd be nice and private, besides more time to teach you would work better.

how fun like a slumber party and wrestling camp mushed together, oh yeah I wrestled in high school so I can teach you that too if you want.

"Well at first I was going to put my address and stuff up on the ad; but I thought it would be better to remain anonymous. Don't want anything being traced back to you right." Now realizing she could barely see, she guessed Jeannie had a point. "I guess your right about this night time thing." Robyn listened intently as Jeannie started listing off all the martial arts and such, "Well anything would be good, right?" As Jeannie talked about her outfit and suggested the "sleep over" Robyn wrote down her Manhattan address and apartment number. "A sleep over sounds nice; but I'll go ahead and warn you my place isn't that big and be prepared to sleep on the couch." Robyn said amused. "Also we could do it during the day on the roof and wrestling could be cool to learn."

ok I guess so Jeannie was sure what to make of Robyn's not wanting stuff traced to her, maybe she's one of them conspiracy buffs that don't trust the government causes them and aliens are behind everything.

well I'm tiny so I'll fit on the coach on the roof sounds like a neat practice spot. she took the paper with Robyn's address oh I should give you mine too if you're ever in London, you love my family's castle it's super neat. she writes down her address and gives it to Robyn.

yay I just love sleep overs, ok so guess I'll go get my things from where I was staying, oh probably get some things we will need to help with your training, definitely, some mats for wrestling and judo don't want toss each other on what ever your roofs made of unless it's like bouncy castle stuff, should get you a punching bag too so you can practice punches and kicks. Jeannie jumps around excited this sounded really fun.

Robyn took the girl's address and heard he talk about her castle, "How the hell does she have a castle." She thought in her head. "Yeah bring all that stuff over, whatever helps me learn quicker." She said in reply to Jeannie listing off all the items.

Later

Robyn hurried to try and tidy up as quickly as possible. Jeannie could be here any moment, she didn't want the girl to compare her apartment to a garbage dump. Robyn opened her windowed and threw all her empty Chinese takeout cartons, empty bags, and etc. out the house. "Well that will have to do for now."

Jeannie gathers up her clothes then went to a sporting goods store to pick up some stuff they'd need then drove over Robyn's place.
she then honks the horn.

hey Robyn I'm here come give me a hand with this she points to the boxes in the back of the truck she got from the rent a car place.
well that was fun never drove a truck before usually stick with cars or motorcycles but needed some more trunk space

Robyn heard a car horn honk and she raced towards her already opened window. "I'll be right down." She called out. Robyn then jumped through her window and landed right at Jeannie's truck. She grabbed the punching bag by it's chain and jumped up three stories towards her window. She caught the ledge and threw the bag through her window and into her living room, she then did the same thing with the rest of the baggage. She then heard Jeannie talk about her transporation means, "Well I usually just take the subway or a taxi. If I'm really in a hurry I'll just fly. I've already put your pillows and stuff on the couch."

you can fly? and are really strong!jeannie watches amused as she put things in place

neat what else can you do, huh beds already that's nice I'm sleepy.

"Yeah I can do stuff like that... But that probably as good as it gets you know. I'm a two trick pony." She chuckled. "Yeah I'm pretty burnt out too. See you in the morning, the door's unlocked so you can get in." She said this all before she rose up towards her window and jumped through. Then she headed to her room for a night of rest.

Tomorrow Morning...

At 9:00 am Robyn's alarm clock went off make it's same annoying sound, DING DING DING DING, Robyn slammed her hand on top of it to stop it, there was a crunching sound. Robyn looked up and see her alarm clock flattened against her dresser like a compacted soup can. "Shit now I need a new alarm." She shook her head in annoyance.
She went into her closet and got out the best thing she thought would be good for a workout, a pair of grey sweatpants and a black t-shirt. She put on her outfit and went out into the living room.
