Chemical Romance [Date Night Pt.2]

Malik Dire Faulkner found himself nodding off on his couch, once again.
Man, your life is boring... Heather said with a huff.
Heather was the voice in his head, it was really like another conciousness more than anything.
Last time he was with Nadia, he died.
He was fighting Heather when this happened, so she died too.
Malik was resurected, and her spirit was then trapped in his head.
Weird, huh.
"Well, what the hell else am I supposed to do?!" He asked with minor annoyance.
I don't know... Maybe tell Nadia about me?
"I will when the time is right... And now is NOT the time."
Oh yeah! Why is she mad again? Oh wait!!! You don't remember! She said this mockingly.
"Aw, shaddup... I'm tired of thinking of thinking about it...
Unfortunitely for him, he couldn't stop...

He scanned his recent memories, feeling happy about their other dates.
Then he found the rotten one.
He still couldn't remember what he did wrong.
He just remembered that Nadia was PISSED.
He couldn't even fathom why he was so torn up about it, they weren't even a couple... They were just... Seeing each other.
"Ah dammit..." He sighed.
He picked his phone up to text an apology.
He did type a big long apology, but he ended up deleting it.
Nadia, I'm sorry.

She heaved a sigh, swirling her glass of wine. She's not drunk, per say. Just tipsy. That's totally what she's telling herself. Nadia padded around her apartment, glass in hand. She had long ago forgotten about the terrible 'Say Yes to the Dress' reruns playing on her television, instead opting to stew in her anger and drink.

Nadia arrived at her window, replaying her days. Everything was going well, they were happy for a while. Nadia was growing quite fond of Malik, dare she say it.

Then the last date happened and her lips quirked downwards. She took a sip of her wine and set it down on the windowsil. She couldn't believe he'd think -

Her phone buzzed, and she read the text. Nadia huffed.

Do ya even know what you're sorry for

Malik flinched at that text.
NO HE DOESN'T NADIA!!! TURN AROUND AND WALK AWAY!!! Heather screamed, the only effect was a jarred Malik.
"Do not... Do that again."
What're you gonna do? Come up here and make me?
She found no answer, for he was storming his thoughts.

He could have sworn he did everything right...
Except till the end.
The question was, what hap-
...
"Fuck, I'm an idiot..."
WOOOW! It took you THAT long?!
He realized he had been storming for about 5 minutes.
Yes... But I swear I wasn't flirting with her! She made pick-up line that made me laugh!

Nadia scoffed. It was understandable, but that didn't mean that she wasn't upset. She was just... possessive she supposed. Nadia sighed, she understood they weren't actually a thing, but that was just how she was.

Besides, that girl was totally flirting with Malik, regardless of the fact of whether or not he reciprocated.

You made that face tho, the flirting face Tipsy Nadia doesn't know how to get her point across.

Malik chuckled when he saw "the flirting face".
"The flirting face, huh?" He smiled waiting for Heather's response.
Oddly enough, he didn't get any.
Nadia, I was just laughing at her pickup line... That's all.
After sending that, he speedily typed: Besides, she was nowhere near as pretty as you.

Satisfied with that text, he tried to nudge Heather.
He didn't really know how to though.
"Uh... Heather?"
No response.
"Heather." He said with a more firm tone.
Still no answer.
He walked steadily to his demonic book and started flipping through the pages.
When he made it to the page about entering a concioussness, he heard: What are you doing?
Malik yelped and smacked the book shut.
"Where did you go?"
Oh just in your memories...
"Hey, stay out of there!"
Why? What're you scared of me finding?
"Nothing... Just stay out of there, okay?"
Ugh... Fine.
At that, he began playing fps game while he waited for Nadia's next text.

She remembered telling him once that flattery would get him everywhere. The words still held true.

Of course she wasnt I'm fabulous. She replied, nearly instantly. It took her a few minutes to continue: I believe you.

She swiped her wine glass again, it was hard to stay upset at Dire really.

Malik smiled at that text.
Well... He really smiled because he killed a hacker in his game, but it sounded better in his head.
You are a smooth criminal, my friend.
"Why thank you, Miss Heather.
Well I hope you aren't still mad, because ur comin to my house to watch scary movies.

Could that smiley face have been any creepier?
"Nope... Not really..."

Nadia raised a brow, scary movies? She hadn't watched pine I a while. Well, she hadn't really watched movies, in a while she supposed. What was the harm in it? She'll go. It could be fun.

Malik smiled.

"Why thank you, Miss Heather."

He didn't want go back to his pet names just yet... She was pr-

Focus, dumbass!
"Oh! Yeah..."
He looked at the clock to see it read 7:45 p.m

Nadia turned towards her clock, she could do that.

Perfect

She tossed her phone down onto her bed and walked to her closet in search of some comfortable clothes.

Dire threw on a pair of gray cargo shorts with a cyan t-shirt, his dog tags, and a pair of aviator glasses.
You look like a very hip soldier...
"You're damn right I do."
At that, he got into his car to get Nadia.

The car trip consisted of Redbone by Childish Gambino and Location by Khalid.
It had started raining by the time he arrived.
Raining hard.
You brought the umbrella, right?
"Yes, mom..."

He knocked on the door after getting out the umbrella.
While the-...
While HE waited, he asked Heather the unaddressed question.
"So, now that you are in my head... Do I have a woman's intuition or whatever it's called?"
Ummm... I don't think so...

Nadia cursed lightly, tying the last laces on her boots. The rain outside was not going to bode well for her hair. She stood up straight, rubbing the sleeves of her turtleneck, it was a bit cold in here-

She heard a knocking at the door.

"Comin'!" She yelled, doing a last minute check in her mirror. Her oversized turtleneck covered her small frame, sort of hiding her figure, and her black pants were cozy, while also minimal effort. She jogged to the door, grabbing her keys on the way.

She opened the door, a small smile on her face. "Hey there, darlin'."

Malik smiled upon seeing Nadia's smile again.
"It's great to see that wonderful smile again, girly."
Are you always this good with women?
Malik just shook his head no quickly to dismiss the question without speaking out loud.

After they got in the car, he again allowed Nadia's to pick the music.
He then asked, "So, you're sure you aren't mad at me?"

Nadia raised a brow from the passenger seat, her eyes still trained on the rain falling outside. "Nah," she started. "Ah' was just bein' petty, you don't have to worry about it."

She turned her head towards him, a joking smile on her face, "Sides, it'd be a bit hypocritical of me to be upset over it, ah don't exactly have a clean flirting track-record." She reached forward to fiddle with the radio, eventually stopping at some random pop station, she wasn't too keen on music at the moment so she let it be.

Malik smiled, "Well, we aren't a thing so I just let it be." He grinned.
Oh, you sly dog... Heather said as she scanned his thoughts.

When they made it to his apartment, he frowned at how his apartment was so clean but unimpressive nonetheless.
"I'm excited for this, I love horror movies." He sighed as he put an arm around her casually.
On the table, there was a whole stack of horror movies.
Many classics, many remakes, and many crappy ones.
