Standing tall, he appears as a man with constantly changing features, his unstable plasmic  form means that he has no constant shape, though he usually appears as a humanoid figure. His  body is entirely smooth and translucent, and is a shimmering blue-purple. His eyes are entirely dark blue, and are smooth and without pupils and iris. Electricity is constantly arcing from him to the ground.


His personality is ever changing, due to the fact that two parts of his brain are constantly collapsing. He has two overarching personalities; that of the rational scientist and that of the humanity-hating demon. The scientist and the demon are constantly at odds with each other, fighting for control of his body. The scientist is melancholy incarnate, spending his time drinking and attempting to prevent the transformation into the demon. The Demon is  chaotic and unpredictable, controlled by his love of money and hatred of humanity, he spends his time robbing banks and killing civilians in fun ways. Regardless of who is in control, his body naturally gravitates towards powerful objects, as his plasmic body is deteriorating and requires constant rejuvenation through absorption of power from artifacts and people.


Little is known of Plasma's life before his powers. What little is known is recorded here: Dr Alfred Tomasson was a particle physicist working on plasma as a source of energy. He used lightning as a stable form of plasma and studied its effects when used to heat water and turn turbines. He was midway through his research when the military contacted him to work on a private project and he disappeared for 6 months. It is believed that under the command of the military he began whatever project it was that caused his powers. It is unknown how long he would have been working for the military if the incident had not occurred.

According to General Green of Her Majesty's Military, the project that Dr Tomasson was assigned to was researching a way to stabilize a plasma to be used as a weapon or for defense. He was reaching a stable point in his work, when all the power went out in the facility. Dr Tomasson was nowhere to be found, his research was gone and the device he was working on had exploded, leaving only a bomb shadow of Alfred Tomasson. After his powers were realized, it is theorized that he might have been blasted into the wires of the building, causing the power surge and the subsequent isolated blackout.

His scientist mind was frightened and looking for something he recognized, traveling through the wires, he guided himself home, unbeknownst to him he was not to be in control for much longer. The Demon escaped and turned upon his wife and children, he could only watch on in horror. He darted through the streets and headed to the centre of the city, beginning his reign of terror.

1: Super Speed: His plasmic form is naturally able to move faster, as it is virtually unaffected by friction and air resistance.

2: Flight: His virtually weightless form means he can glide and levitate effortlessly.

3: Plasmic Control: As electricity and fire are plasmic substances, he has a substantial link to them, and control over them.

4: Extreme Heat: Plasma is the hottest of the four states of matter, therefore his body is as hot as a sun, though more controlled.


1: Extreme Heat: The fact that plasma has to maintain a constant high heat means that if he drops below 2000 degrees Celsius reverse ionization turns him into a gas, and he will take weeks to recover the heat.

2: Mirrors: If placed into a room entirely composed of mirrors, he will eventually overheat and explode, scattering his ions across the place, this will take months from which to recover

3: Split personalities: The fact that he has multiple personalities means he never knows if he will suddenly become someone else and lose his desire to fight.

4: Electrothermal Instability: This occurs when a strong magnetic field is introduced into plasma's vicinity, the electrons in him become hotter than the other particles and eventually he stratifies (collapses into a pile of high and low density electron plates).


Electricity is constantly spreading outwards from his feet and arcing to the ground from his chest.
