A million Cities in One

Las Vegas, one of her favorite places to visit. She just loved all of the lights, sounds, not so much the smell, and all of the people. Mostly their emotions! She could stock a warehouse full of emotion from just this street block alone. She was here on a trip...no specific reasons or anything. Just a nice visit to the city of Sin itself. Although...there were a few detestable things here. Many of which she didn't want ot get involved with for fear of what she would do to the people out of her sense of justice and what not. But that thought faded as a particularly strong force of fear and desperation hit her. And it wasn't hers. It was a girls...comming from three blocks over. Closing her eyes, Amarantha focused her powers and heard the little girls thoughts...
Suddenly her eyes snapped open. They were hurting her! Dropping her last bit of funnel cake on the sidewalk, she ran to find the distressed girl.

yay Las Vegas what a fun place Jeannie thought. wondered about looking about for some fun to have when a woman rushes by her.

hey where's the fire? she wondered what the lady was in such a hurry for she didn't see anything chasing her. was she running to something then?

huh well, Jeannie decides she should help, she didn't have anything else to do at the moment. so she takes off following then womanhey wait, do you need help?if so slow down running and talkings kinda hard

Amarantha kept running, yelling back over her shoulder, "No time to talk, just stay!" She didn't know what sort of civilian this was, but she couldn't afford for anyone to get hurt, and she didn't have time to stop in case this little girl was in serious trouble. Soon Amarantha came to the place where she felt the little girls emotions coming from, and she froze. Anger suddenly bioled up inside of her at the sight of a dead woman on the ground, a pool of blood around her and a little girl sobbing next to her while a huge man in black squatted down a small ways away from them, looting through a purse.
"Hey, Jack-wad!" She yelled, her hands balling up. The man stood up suddenly and whirled around, a glinting gun in his hands.
"Walk away, bitch, before I blow your head off."
Amarantha let out a sinister laugh, her hands starting to glow an ominous red. "Heh, bad move on your part." Just as the man pulled the trigger, she quickly crossed her arms in front of her chest, and a bright red shield of light went up infront of her. The bulled pinged off harmlessly and she smirked. "My turn."

Jeannie followed the woman to a crime scene? Jeannie leaps into action Dynamic Entry!!!!!!!!! borrowing a move from one of her favorite anime characters Jeannie leaps through the air dropkicking the bad guy in the face.

she then turns to the little girldon't worry little one I'm a champion of justice here to save you she does a anime hero pose

Amarantha sort of stares at her, not really sure what to do. "Uhh... Girl, lady, woman, who ever you are, Please step back, this is a crime scene and, while your actions are valiant, they are unnecessary. Please, step back and let me handle it." Amarantha moves in to apprehend the man groaning on the ground.

I'm Jeannie, ok then, huh think we should call a doctor that lady looks hurt?
she leaves apprehending the bad man to the lady
and goes to check on the little girl giving her a hug it's ok little one me and the nice lady won't let no one hurt you ok,huh crime scenes are no place for kids and the lady said she had the upper handling under control.

so Jeannie decides she'll help the girl, she wipe the girl's tears
on her shirt
oww I know what will cheer you, let's get you out here we don't want to get in the way of the lady's crime scene she picks the girl up carrying her
back to funnel cake stand her and the lady passed, she gets her and the girl one and they sit down

yummy treats always cheer me up, ow I'm Jeannie what's your name?

Amarantha quickly called the cops and told them what had transpired. She already knew the lady was dead. She knew that the little girl was her daughter. When the cops pulled up with the ambulance, she handed over the man who was just beginning to regain consciousness. She thanked them and went on her way to find the stranger and little girl.

Jeannie is happy the little girl seemed to cheer up but now what was she supposed to do with her?

Can't she keep her could she? she always did want a little sister but people aren't like puppies and kitties you can't just take them home with you, she doesn't want to leave her by herself, find her parents maybe, or take her to the cops. huh was that one lady a cop? she talked like a cop.

huh well they'll finish their snacks first then worry about that, funnel cakes sure are yummy

Pausing, Amarantha looked curiously over at the little girl, who was still crying next to the other lady. She walked over and knelt next to the her.
"Hi there." She said to the cute little brunet who looked to be about five or so. "Everything is okay now. The bad man was taken away."
The little girl sniffled and looked at her. "B-but what about my mommy? I-is she o-okay?"
Amaranthas heart broke. how could she tell this sweet innocent girl that her mother was brutally murdered for the money in her wallet?
"Well...Your mommy did a great thing tonight. She loved you very, very much, and because she loved you, she had to go."
"Go where? When is s-she coming back?"
Amarantha looked down. "She had to go to the place where good people go when they die doing heroic things. And shell always be here. With you whenever you need her." Amarantha said and pointed to the little girls heart. "Now come on, Ill go take you to the nice polieceman and he can take you home to your daddy or aunt or whom ever you live with."
Looking up at the other girl, she waved a bit. "Thanks for watching her. Ill take it from here."

Jeannie started crying that was the girl's mommy how sad, Amarantha's why of explaining it was very nice and sweet.
Jeannie was glad she was there to handle it she'd have trouble doing that.

no problem I'm good at helping she smiles and waves goodbye to the girl watching Amarantha take her to the policeman , huh now what should she do

Amarantha paused and looked back, a familiar twinge nagger her. "Hey...you look...familiar. Have we met before?"

Jeannie is happy when Amarantha came back, yay someone to play with
huh could be, could be I travel a lot, then I'm a model so you could have seen me that way Jeannie looks at her trying to remember if she had seen heryour pretty so you'd think I'd remember a pretty face are you a model too maybe we meet at a fashion show, I'm Jeannie what's your name?
