The Brightest Star in the Sky [Date Night: The Final Act]

The Demonic Dire sat on the couch in his apartment with tears in his eyes.
He was thinking of a while back, when he and Nadia met the Queen of Hell and he defeated Errtu.
He couldn't stop thinking of the vow he made.
I will be back.
Would he really?
The demon had never gone back on his word.
What happened to his "family" from Hell after Errtu died?
Did they pass on too?
Was it really a good idea to kill Errtu?
Should he have just dealt with his burden?
He'll never know.

He then thought of Nadia. It was her who saved him from dying to the hands of Errtu.
He didn't just think of her as Nadia anymore.
He thought of her as his girlfriend.
He kind of wished she were here.
He always thought them living together would be amazing, but he never had the guts to either propose to her or ask if she wanted to live with him.
He had the perfect proposal, it was actually good.
Yet he couldn't make himself do it....
"Ah, screw it... Why not?"

He pulled out his phone and texted Nadia.
Hey babes! Get ready for a vacation! Because we're going somewhere special!

Nadia stood in her kitchen, hands dipped in the sink. She'd just come in from a job, not a very rewarding one, but nonetheless. She muttered a tune as she washed her hands. She'd definitely have to clean this sink later, at least if she didn't want it to stain blood red.

Satisfied that she was clean, she dried her hands and opened the fridge, rummaging for food. Of course, however, she didn't get very far. A sharp ping! sounded from her phone, laying on the counter opposite her. With a huff she left the fridge open and picked up her dingy phone.

Well, this is unexpected. Exciting, but unexpected.

He didn't expect her to answer so promptly, because he had just put on Jocelyn Flores by xxxtentacion.
He put this song on because he's been depressed lately.
He began to hate himself...
More than usual, he should say.
He always said he'd change his ways after Errtu was dead, that was his crutch.
Yet, he sees the same old mercenary ways even after Errtu was gone.

Nadia narrowed her eyes at the text. It was definitely inevitable that he had something planned. But why not, she definitely wanted the break. Besides, work was slow nowadays and she was starting to get bored. With a smile she typed her reply.
