On the outside, this 'man' is vengeful, angry, and relentless, almost being the sole definition of raw, unadulterated rage. While seemingly one-sided, and lacking of mental faculties, Nicholas, outside of this assumed persona of the Deadwalker, is actually quite the focused and well-kept zombie. Nicholas is a short tempered, yet very poetic and fluent writer and artist. He has quite the sense of humor, but consistently speaks few words among even his most trusted friends, sometimes not saying anything at all. Within his spare time, when not dealing with the quest he undertakes, Nicholas tries to live a normal life, yearning to be something he once was.

A young and aspiring man, born and raised in Mexico, Nicholas was always a stellar and bright minded young man with ideals that were as strong as his leg in soccer. Everything seemed to go well for him, even earning a nickname of "Chico Suerte" or Boy Luck. Of course, this all changed when his family fell into disarray after the death of his father. Forced to work for the cartel just south of the Texas Border, Nicholas was a drug runner, often times being shot at and once even being hit. Of course, as his name might suggest, the boy lived on and continued to build wealth for his family, before cutting ties with the cartel and fleeting legally to the Midwestern United States.

The Cartel was close behind.

Cornered after several years of living in near isolation in Oklahoma, Nicholas's family was taken in by witness protection programs when their house was shot up, and the three, his mother, himself, and his sister, were forced to flee. While the other two, now under assumed identities, have fled the local area, and live far north near Canada, Nicholas wasn't so lucky. Kidnapped, beaten, and stabbed, he was taken to Lake Keystone, cinderblocks attached to his ankles, and dropped into the murky depths. Assumed dead.

What was to follow would shock everyone in this maddening story.

Unknowing of what had happened to his family, Nicholas, now using the Moniker 'Jiibae', a Shawnee word for 'corpse', broke free of his submerged prison after his sheer willpower and rage brought him from death. Given a second chance, and with unreal strength, the partly rotted man walked to shore from the depths, his body decayed and desiccated. At once, he sought to hide himself, wrapping bandages around his face and body, concealing his rot. After investigations into the spontaneous murders of Mexican-American citizens turned out to be connected to the Cartel that Nicholas was killed as a result of, searches concluded that something sinister had happened, and that perhaps he'd been avenged by some vigilante, until Nicholas showed up on the doorstep of a state agency, decaying and weary. Mages from around the states pooled together, weaving a spell that could reverse some of his rot. Grey skinned, and cold to the touch, 'Jiibae', dubbed the Deadwalker by locals, became a local legend very quickly. His vengeance still strong against what evils and crime still are afoot, Nicholas will stop at nothing to find his family, and cleanse this world.

Unstoppable Abomination: Nicholas is a risen corpse, hardened from the pressure of deep waters without breaking.  As a result,  hardening of his body has made him incredibly durable, able to take blows without ever feeling pain, and furthermore, is able to resist most normal blows without even breaking. High impact damage, such as abnormal levels of superhuman strength, or high velocity, high caliber bullets will still have a significant effect on him.

Relentless Fury: To couple the above statement of increased endurance, Nicholas's already strong body has only become even more fierce with time's passage. His physical strength is powerful enough to launch cars across a street, without loss of momentum, in a single kick.

Persistent Slasher: Nicholas also has a healing factor. So long as all his limbs are in their proper places, his body will weave itself, slowly, back together. While unreliable in a fight without proper spacing or cover, it can be a boon on dangerous travels to places in extreme conditions.

Persevering Murderer: An activated ability, Nicholas surrounds himself in a miasma of vengeful, spiteful, red energy. While it is active, he cannot move, and absorbs blows even more hardily than he once would. To top this, he becomes even harder to move physically.



Cleansed By Fire: The ooze that seeps from Nicholas's dead body, when combined with the bandages he wraps himself in to stay in one piece, is highly flammable. Lighting it on fire can prove useful, and even beyond that, halt his regeneration entirely

Return To The Waves: Nicholas is dense, extremely so, and sinks immediately to the bottom of any water he comes in contact with. As a result, despite his lack of needing to breathe, he is very vulnerable to aquatic areas. It speeds up his rotting underwater, and the pressure against his body stops his healing factor.

Falling Apart: If Nicholas doesn't have all of his limbs on his body, he cannot begin regenerating. He can do so without a finger or toe, but if missing, say, an arm, he will be unable to begin regenerating.

Weakened Presence: After usage of Persevering Murderer, Nicholas becomes even more susceptible to elemental attacks, and the like, for a while. His weakened state also reduces his physical strength, and his endurance.



Undulating Machete: A seemingly basic machete given to Nicholas from his cartel work. Now twisted with the same malevolence as the very magic that brought him to life, this undead revenant makes good use of the tool  to dispatch foes in brutal, unforgiving fashion. The blade takes significant punishment before it dulls, and the lacing of occult, twisted magic allows it to cleave through flesh like hot butter, and armor with a few well-placed swings. To top this, the weapon itself deals magical damage, occult-influence, that is just enough to hinder those who would be weak to magic in the same way that it cleaves through flesh weak to physical damage.

WEAKNESS: Nicholas is the only one who can activate the cruel, and sinister power locked deep within this weapon, and as a result, cannot throw it without it losing its properties.



None



Jiibe, or Nicholas, needs not breathe, eat, sleep, and never tires out, as a result of being a living corpse.
