Due to his abduction at an early age, and the intense amounts of training and abuse he has endured, Vadim is completely devoid of empathy and emotion for those who meet him. Whether ally or enemy, Vadim intends to keep a hyper-professional manner and lacks a regard for the conditions of others. He sees the world as a chess board, meant manipulated by the orders of the greater powers. He acts clearly based on this regard, and views his role only as a piece in the larger game.

After the collapse of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (SSSR) and the division of the larger Slavic state, the once feared armed power was reduced to nothing more than an afterthought. Fearful of the considerable power lost, the newly formed Ministry of Defense for the Russian Federation devised a secret program meant to arm the Russian Armed Forces with a highly professional group of soldiers to make up for the remnants of the Red Army. However such an action would come at a cost, as candidates were selected from a number of Russia’s youth. Abducted and taken to a military site outside of Yakutsk, Vadim Mironov was taken from a world of love and left in one of hate and discipline. Beaten constantly and drilled to become a soldier, Vadim slowly lost his humanity as he was manipulated and molded to become nothing more than a weapon of war. Eventually the child capitulated, and became nothing more than an empty shell. Despite this, his torments didn’t end as he was put under grueling augmentation procedures. Scooping out his organs and fitting them with mechanical devices, the procedure was meant to shape a soldier that could operate at the maximum capacity of any human. Surviving the procedure, Vadim was sent on a series of missions meant to dismantle and kill high-priority targets of the Russian government. Successfully running a series of assassinations, Vadim soon became a feared agent of the Russian Armed Forces.

Augmentations: Receiving a variety of mechanical and biological augmentations, Vadim is easily much stronger and faster than normal humans, and many meta-humans. These augmentations also provide increased senses, allowing him to sense and react quicker to targets.

Weapons Expert: After training most of his life with weapons, Vadim has a near natural understanding behind the mechanics of most weapons and is proficient in many types of firearms and blades.

Combat Expert: Trained in a variety of hand-to-hand techniques, Vadim has no trouble engaging targets up close without and weapons.
General Survivalist: Trained in Siberia, Vadim knows how to survive in the wilds and other for extended periods of time.

Master of Disguise: Due to the slimness of his suit, and his job as an infiltrator and assassin, Vadim can easily fit into other uniforms when necessary. His ability to blend in to his environment however, is wholly dependent on the awareness of the others around him.

Magnetism: Due to his organs being augmented to be mechanical and metal-based, strong enough magnetics may cause hypersensitivity or may even injure Vadim.

EMP: As his body runs as proficiently as a computer or a machine, his electro-magnetic pulses may easily cause discomfort, injury or if strong enough, may even kill Vadim.

‘Cure’ Dependency: As his body naturally rejects the mechanical augmentations placed in him, the Scientific Division has developed a ‘cure’ that Vadim must be present to at all time through a series of supplies and delivery systems. This ‘cure’ allows Vadim to stabilise the conditions of his augmentation, however if he is to lose his supply to it, his body will fight his augmentations and cause serious ill effects, and if not treated, kill him.

‘Rusting’: Despite being in peak condition in strength, speed, endurance and reflexes through his augmentation, and kept stabilised by the ‘cure’, eventually his body and augmentations will deteriorate to the point that severe pains and weakness are inflicted on Vadim. Physical or psychological trauma will affect the agent, as his organs and body slowly shut down and he dies of intense pain.

Limited vision while wearing Gas Mask: While wearing his gas mask, AAT-08317's field of vision is impaired greatly, as his peripherals are blocked. This reduces his senses quite significantly. Hearing is also slightly impared.

Limited capacity to carry weapons: Given AAT-08317's role as an assassin, the agent has to be very mobile. Although stronger and faster, AAT-08317 doesn't trust carrying more than two firearms while on a mission. Equipment selection is limited.

Nano-weave body suit: A specialised suit designed to protect the wearer from multiple hits with firearms or other weapons. Flexible and comfortable, it allows the wearer easy movement. It is also designed to keep stealth a key-aspect.

Specialised Gas Mask with Vocoder: This gas mask was developed to withstand and cycle a variety of gaseous materials, along with other chemical agents that would eat through the filters of regular gas masks. Mounted with a Vocoder to disguise the voice the operator.

Cz-45: A specialised side-arm that AAT-08317 wields. Semi-automatic, it comes equipped with a removable silencer. It holds 15 rounds per magazine. AAT-08317 only carries three spare magazines on his person. It is concealable.

AN-107: A specialised selective-fire rifle, (automatic, burst and semi-) that is constructed with a built in suppressor to sound and muzzle flash. It holds 42 rounds per magazine. AAT-08317 carries only two spare magazines on his person. It is not concealable.

Combat Knife: Sharp edged steel, easily concealable.

General Equipment: AAT-08317 is prepared with a series of pouches that carry a selection of equipment depending on his situation. These consist of zipties, flares, a battery recharging unit, a fire starting kit, water purification tablets, binoculars, a radio and night-vision goggles.

Smoke Grenades/Flashbangs: Grenades that either emit smoke or temporarily blind enemies. AAT-08317 can only carry two of these grenades, and their deployment is either loud or noticeable.

VSSK Vychlop: A sniper rifle that AAT-08317 can use. Incapable of being concealed, it is also very difficult to aim and use in the heat of battle. Very inefficent to use if not at range and stationary.



“Hey! What’s taking so long?” A cry was heard through the thick foliage that greeted whoever was looking at it with a wall of leaves and branches. There was no response however, as the soldier struggled to maintain the breath that was being choked out of him by stronger arms. Eventually, his resistance faded before the arms that held him took him and started stripping him of the olive drab he was wearing. The black bodysuit man pulled the army coat over him, as he quickly did the straps and zips, as he followed with the pants and boots. Quickly, he assumed the uniform of the soldier, he had just strangled to death, before he stepped up to the foliage. Patting off the dirt on his being, the assassin stepped through the foliage, as he was greeted by the voice that called out to him, almost unaware to his presence as he turned his back to the assassin before he asked: “Had trouble getting it out?”

The man was answered with a blade that cut through his neck, before his body fell to the ground.
