The Guardian of Time (Cutie)

Far in the north, in lands frozen and forgotten, legends spoke of a place of power. This power was plain and simple- a means to travel back to anywhere in time. Men and monsters, great and small beings, individuals or whole armies, throughout the ages made the treacherous journey to the valleys of ice and snow, to seek this power. But, as the valley of buried dead of the ages will attest, none had yet succeed in passing through that portal. Two simple stones jutting out parallel in the middle of the snow, with a paved stone path towards it.

So simple, yet so impossible- for a guardian stood alone, between all who would seek to undo the past.
