Nadia snorts in amusement, "Alright, Little miss hotshot." She digs into her pancakes. They're a lot better than she previously thought they would be. They're so good in fact, that she finishes her stack of four pancakes in five minutes.

Huh, new record.

Nadia sits back and plays meaningless games on her phone while she waits for Jeannie to finish.

Nadia curses under her breath as she mistakingly led her poor deer avatar off the cliff. She silently mourns the death of such an adorable creature. Oh, Jeanine was talking to her. "Ah, this? It's an old indie platformer. You're a deer good of the forest trying to save your people. Ah think it's pretty sweet." Nadia hands the phone to Jeannie, then she flags down a waitress to bring the check.

The waitress returns and Nadia pays her in cash, she doesn't want any cash trails at this point. With a smile, she sends the waitress away, not caring for dawdling and small talk. They weren't really in a hurry, so she let Jeannie play for a while.

Nadia smirked at Jeannie's excitement, though they were unfortunately going to have to cut it short. "C'mon, Jean," she started. "Ya can save the forest after we save the world, ya hear?" Nadia waited for a save then she plucked the phone from Jeannie's hands. She wasn't a complete jerk. With one last smile, she slides out of the booth and gestures to Jeannie it was time to go.

Nadia Saunders out of the pancake house, saying a few goodbyes to the people in the front. She leans against Jeannie's motorcycle, while stuffing her phone back into one of her many pockets. She does a double check to make sure that she has everything before they go. She is satisfied.

Nadia smiles, "Ah've got the location memorized, ah can just give directions." They weren't that far from the location, and though Nadia could technically just drive them there herself, she had vowed to not ride a motorcycle ever again.

"It ain't that far, actually." Nadia hops onto the bike behind Jeannie and begins to feed her directions. True to her word, the countryside passes pretty quickly, they were already on the outskirts of the city. They ride through rolling hills and past old farmhouses. The air in the countryside is much cleaner and refreshing then the fumes of the city. Nadia directs Jeannie to an old building, akin to a church. Though it had certainly seen better days.

The old church was dusty and ragged, the once red paint was chipping and peeling into a murky brown through years of the elements beating down on it. All in all, it was a perfect villain hideout.

"Quick version? We shoot all the goons in sight, they should all have enough of a signature in them for these bullets to render 'em out of the game. Not dead, but idle. Then, we find the head honcho, and ah couldn't get a good glimpse of him when ah looked, but ah'm goin' on the assumption that he'll be pretty obvious." Nadia hops off the bike, steadying herself. She brushes invisible dust off of her dress.

"Then, we blow 'em to kingdom come! The blast should be enough to break up the ritual ground, then we get the hell 'outta there."

This Feels Like a Cliche Murder Mystery - Page 8 Empty Re: This Feels Like a Cliche Murder Mystery

Post by energeticmadwoman November 27th 2016, 11:44 pm

With a shake of her head and a huff of laughter, Nadia pulls the two Berrettas out from one of her hiding places in her witch garb and jogs behind Jeannie.

Inside the bedraggled and desolate old church, there is a large gathering of figures. They are huddled in a large circle, soft chants spilling from their lips and filling the empty room. The stench of rotting corpses and lavender candles flit around the air. Clearly, the lavender was lit so that the corpse smell would go away, however it didn't seem to be working. The people stood above a large star, carved into the wooden floor of the church. There are ancient symbols everywhere, though not all can be seen due to the dim lighting of the room.

They stop abruptly when they notice the two young women approaching their hiding spot. One of the figures groans, "For Satan's sake, Todd I thought you said that your tracks were covered!" Todd whines at the other figure, "Well, I'm sorry Helen, what did you expect me to say? I knew you were going to be pissed at me either way!"

The hooded figures let out a collective sigh at their bickering partners, but an agreement was settled that they had to finish this, and fast. They send two of them to go stand watch at the door.
