The Looks

The Don is a pasty white boy with semi-long curly dark brown hair. His forehead has some small pimples, and his eyebrows are average for a male. His nose bridge and the area in between his nose and his eyes is littered with freckles. His teeth are fairly strait, with some crooked teeth here and there. He has
no defined muscles and looks a little pudgy. His legs are a little more defined but still not overly muscular. He wears a black hoodie, reflective shades, black jeans and gray slip on shoes as his costume.

The Legacy

Personality:
The Don is paranoid about people following him or trying to sneak up on him. He likes to crack jokes (whether they be dark, dry or not) and make some terrible puns. He hates being seen and talked to by most people, so he tries to look like as generic as a teenager could get. He likes manipulating people and watching them from the sidelines.
History:
James grew up doing well in school, in a family that was decently well off financially however , when James was with his peers at school he would often start arguing with them and bait them into saying something that could easily be misinterpreted around a teacher so the classmate could get in trouble. This evolved into him manipulating his friends so that they always did what he wanted them to do by reading their body language and facial expressions and exploiting them to his advantage. In his Sophomore year of High school James was able to persuade his friend to allow him inside of his dad's workshop. Inside of this room were random prototypes that the dad had made in his spare time that either didn't work well, or weren't finished. James took one of these devices home with him, against the friend's wishes. He plugged the device into a socket at his home and activated the machine labeled "Shadow Projection Device". After Activation the device started projecting darkness out it. James, fascinated by the machine looked into the lens that the darkness was being projected from to check that it wasn't some sort of cheap trick. Upon looking at the lens James became very sensitive to light, as the darkness flooded his vision. As he recoiled from this, the light blinded him temporarily and in his flailing about, James accidentally whacked the machine, causing it to break and "leak" darkness into his room. This caused James to lose his physical form, and become wraith-like, allowing him to blend into shadows and seemingly disappear and reappear in shadows. This let James become the ultimate manipulator, as he could simply blend into people's shadows and whisper in their ears, making them lose their sanity and eventually crack and do what he tells them.

The Powers and Weaknesses

(All characters can be as powerful as they want, as long as they are balanced with proper weaknesses.)
Powers

Power 1: James becomes a black mass of shadow within darkness, and can seemingly teleport from shadow to shadow. While in this form he can't be stabbed or shot and makes very little noise while moving.

Power 2: James' shadow form distorts his voice, causing it to sound like thousands of whispering voices are talking at once, and it deteriorates the sanity of most who hear it, allowing James to command them to do things beyond their moral compass.
Weakness(es)

Weakness 1: All Shadows have to be large enough to completely immerse James in the darkness. James thinks he can pull off impressive usage of his powers, and can, but only if no one else is looking at him. Under pressure he can't ever pull anything off besides the basic blend into shadows stuff.

Weakness 2: His shadow form voice is spooky, and maddening, but it takes time for James to be able to get a person crazy enough that they would do what he asks of, and everyone is different. Druggies and people that have recently been in bad trauma are easier to crack than others who have led relatively un-traumatic lives.

RP Mechanics

RP Mechanic(s): James gets anxious when talking to people directly, and stutters or is really quiet when approached by someone who is threatening. On the flip side, James isn't very threatening either because he tries to hard, and relies on being unseen to be threatening to others

First off, very interesting username amigo. But now on to the app. This is just about ready for a optical but needs a few tweaks. More than anything I need you to describe each of his powers a bit better. I'm unsure what you mean by he becomes ethereal and unseen so that needs to be further clarified.

On the weakness side of things, I need you to lower the amount of light needed to mess with him. As is it's sort of a no brainier, if there's no shadows because everything is light then of course his abilities don't work. As a suggestion I'd move his RP mechanic to a weakness. Not being able to use his powers of someone is looking at him would be both very limiting and very fun to play with.

My final thing is just a reminder. His ability to read and manipulate people is not a power nor does it give you any ability to know something about a character that you couldn't logically know or that thy don't want you to know. Happy editing Smile
