The Legacy

Personality: Uriel, when around his little sister, is a kind soul. He is lighthearted, loving, and charitable. But this is only a front, a shadow of what his sister once knew. The world has made him cold and logical.

History: Uriel was born to a middle class family in Buffalo, New York. He was a warm hearted, charitable child. Around the age of six, his baby sister Emilia was born. She was always a sickly child, in and out of the hospital since birth, but strong. She was his everything, and he would give anything to protect her.
At 15, Uriel's parents hit a patch of black ice and went off the side of the road into a river while him and Abigail were at home waiting. It wasn't long until they were taken into foster care, a group package.
They went in and out of homes, families mistreated them, some couldn't afford to keep them.
Uriel had reached 17, he and Abigail had found a new home. The biological children were never kind, teasing him and his sister constantly. Berating them when they got food, telling them to sleep outside because they didn't belong.
This was around the time that Abigail had been diagnosed with cancer, the family became cruel, she was an expense they couldn't afford.
The children began lashing out at her, until one day she was shoved down a flight of stairs.
Uriel caught wind, racing to her, he saw the eldest boy at the top of the stairs.
This was the first time Uriel had witnessed his own powers. The shadows began to contort, reaching from the walls towards the boy. One quick snap is all it took, and the boy tumbled down the stairs.
Uriel had left the home with Abigail, unconcious in his arms, vowing to take care of her, and give her a good life.
He took to a life of crime, extorting people using his powers and robbing stores, all the while keeping it secret from his baby sister.

The Powers and Weaknesses

Powers

Power 1: Umbrakinesis
Uriel can control shadows, making them into corporeal tendrils. The strength of the tendrils depends on how dark the shadows are.

Power 2: voice mimicry
After hearing someones voice, Uriel can mimic it near perfectly. He has yet to try animal noises though.

Power 3: illusion creation
Uriel can create ethereal illusions of the people he has seen.

Power 4: basic flight
It's not so much flying, but more like floating.

Power 5: : Can travel through walls.
Solid objects are no longer an obstacle. While engulfed in shadows, Uriel can pass through walls and floors

Weakness(es)

Weakness 1: Light
His ability to control the shadows is weakened while in the light, due to a distinct lack of strong shadows.

Weakness 2: Illusions can't interact with physical objects.
Though they seem 100% real, the illusions can not pick up, or touch anything

Weakness 3: Through constant use of his powers, Uriel becomes corrupted by the darkness he controls, causing him to be less and less of a human

Weakness 4: He will do anything to protect his sister, even if it compromises his values. She is also his only motivation to not succumb to the darkness.

Weakness 5: Uriel can only travel through solid objects while covered in shadows

Weakness 6: Uriel can only manipulate already existing shadows, he can not create any out of thin air.

Uriel has three forms, his normal, ghost and shadow forms. As he uses his powers, he slowly shifts into his ghost form.
