The Legacy

Personality: She's somewhat awkward. She was raised in a controlled environment in the lab so she has some trouble picking up on typical social norms. Her childhood has also left her a bit naive. She will typically take people at word until proven otherwise since she tends to assume that they know more about the world than she does.

History: She's been raised in a clinical laboratory environment since she was four years old and her electrokinis powers were discovered. (That time she was three and stuck a fork in an electrical socket and survived probably should have been a clue) After years are near constant experimentation the scientists managed to trigger a secondary mutation which resulted in her ability to surround herself with small force fields.
After the scientists success as she ate her slice of celebratory chocolate cake and stared down at her arms with their scars from countless IVs and needle injections she realized that this wasn't the end. If anything their success would reinvigorate them and she'd be dealing with these experiments for the rest of her life.
She still doesn't really hate the scientists. They were never purposely cruel and would reward her when things went the way they wanted. They just didn't view her as human, to them she was their job, their key to being on the front page of genetic scientist weekly.
Escaping was shockingly (Get it?) easy. To be honest if she'd know all it would take was a few fried control panels and a couple stunned guards she would have done it years ago.
Actually living in the world has been much more difficult.

The Powers and Weaknesses

Powers

Power 1:
ElectroKinesis
(AKA Zappy hands)
Sable is able to short out bolts of electricity from her hands. People generally don't like to be shocked (Though there are some oddballs out there) but she's found more use for this ability in frying electrical systems and wiping hard drives.
Touching and interacting with electricity also has no harmful effects on her other than a slight tingling sensation. Though when her body absorbs large amounts of electricity her body tries to level itself out by dispelling some of it causing random sparks to shoot of her till her body reaches it's preferred equilibrium again.

Power 2:
Force Fields
She's able to create a small field that surrounds herself and blocks objects from entering that space. The fields are in a shimmering sphere around her and if someone is next to her when she creates one, they are able to be protected as well.

Weakness(es)

Weakness 1: Other than electricity pretty much anything that hurts a normal human hurts her. Guns, knives, etc. And she takes the normal amount of recovery time.

Weakness 2:
Naive
She hasn't really experienced the "real" world since she was four years old so she is somewhat easy to take advantage of.
She has no experience in doing what others may consider basic tasks like paying for a cab or preparing her own food.
