Lulz (Sorta Thrones Thread)
Ah, Tokyo......what a dump. Ok, there were cool lights and everything, but when you got down to it it was just like any other place, concrete and filth. Not that Data minded, being unaffected by dirt and the outside world more or less did that to you. But on to the reason he was here. He had joined up with an organization called Thrones for one reason or another, they held secrets, and it's leader was quite a curious individual he was pretty interested in. He didn't know what would come of it, but for the time being he was getting info and having fun screwing with people, so it was all good.
They had sent him here for God knows what reason, as if he couldn't have done it from anywhere. Well, this time he couldn't, but still, it was quite shitty they assumed he couldn't. It was a secure database cut off from any and all networks, meaning he had no direct connection with it unless he got close or dropped out of his body, and those were kinda hard to make when you were just a bit of data in the air. So, he went with the previous option, deciding to get close. The only issue was this place was underground and had some of the best anti-AI systems in the world, as well as physical barriers and things to deal with metahumans. Unfortunately for these overprotective dudes though, Jake was neither.
He was out in the middle of nowhere, a few dozen miles outside the city. Below this desolate patch of dirt was a marvelous facility housing some of the most guarded research in the East. This was going to be so dope. His eyes flashed brighter green, and he edited himself, sinking into the ground like a ghost until he found some tech he could latch onto and jump through, taking him into a hallway through the camera system it seemed. After that, he brought himself back to 'normal'. Immediately the alarms went off, but he payed no mind for them. He wasn't one to be arrogant about his power, but you can't stop a living data gathering computer from getting data. It's like fighting Aquaman underwater.
Hey, losers, where's your big database? That's I'll i need, then I'm out.

Re: Lulz (Sorta Thrones Thread)
It was a sharp eleven minutes passed four in the morning. In Tokyo, Japan, that is.
It was actually just eleven minutes into the tenth hour at the Thrones' manor where the Queen herself was pacing back and forth, waiting on confirmation of DATA's positioning.
Her goal was to send him, one of the best intelligence operatives she had ever encountered in her life, on the biggest mission of his life.
Monitors were set up on a wall, all staring back at the Queen. She was illuminated in the white glow, the main lighting in this darkened dungeon. It felt like a dungeon - but clearly, it was a room within the manor with curtains drawn tight.
Stopping her pacing, she stepped back over to the com and pressed the transmit button.
"Data... don't fuck this up with any of your cute shit," Chelle was a bit pissed - not because she didn't trust him, oh no. It was simply because if he did mess this up, it would mean the loss on information she needed in regards to one woman known as Jules.
Jules was the leading CEO of an intelligence company that rivaled Bliss Fokukama's very own intelligence company. Not only were the companies at war for product placement and sales, but the two women had been at one anothers throats for some time.
Chelle had heard of the encounter in Nagasaki where Jules demanded control of Tyuki's band due to some clause - and it also involved gaining all of Bliss' other assets. Including her seat as Japanese-Italian Ambassador.
Waiting for a few more moments, she spoke into the com again.
"I apologize for my anger, Data. I just need this to go as smoothly as possible. Back up is waiting for the 'Go' signal if you're compromised in any way." She cut herself off by quite literally lifting her finger from the transmitter.
Her whole body ached in anticipation. She sat down and pulled a shaky hand guiding a warm glass of fresh O Negative to her lips. She drank it down in a few gulps, another glass replacing it's empty predecessor.
"Remember what you're there for. I need it all. Every last bit. No excuses. You're synced up to an invisible cloud network with plenty of room, and then some, for all of the intel." She finally felt relaxed, the downing of a second glass being what she truly needed.
The third glass of O negative made her feel at peace.

Re: Lulz (Sorta Thrones Thread)
In the heart of the Japanese compound, a figure crouched, an insignificant huddle in the midst of the servers.
The lean figure had somehow managed to maneuver through the ductwork, getting himself as close to the chilled room as possible. Now he was garbed as a security guard, having stollen the uniform of the guard he had tased in front of the only door into the room. He unconcious guard was out, tucked into a corner where he would be difficult to find...until he woke up and started making noise.
Now Cory Jardin, robust laptop before him, did his best to sift through the myriad of information before him. He was looking for information on a particular target, a corrupt businessman wih a tendancy to bribe politicians. He was looking for something he mght use against him...or maybe just validation of his suspicions...Jardin was not completely sure.
It was slow work for the clever metahuman. Though he had a knack for languages, this gift seemed to not extend to machine language. After yet another failed input, Jardin groaned, breath turning to haze as he grew frustrated. He was getting nowhere.
Then the alarms whent off. "Wha-? Dammit!" Jardin had expected to have more time. After a moment of hesitation, he shut his computer, slipping it into a duffel bag that he slung over his shoulder. He quickly moved to the exit...
However, much to his surprise, no security seemed to be headed his way..."O~okay?" he mused aloud. It took only a moment for Jardin to move back to his place, plugging his system back into the servers. He had one more trump card to try...
He hooked up his rig again, this time with a satellite array. Open source everything. Find what he needed later. It was small, but it might do the job.

Re: Lulz (Sorta Thrones Thread)
Honestly Data was a bit surprised at the bluntness of his boss, not that he payed a mind to it. Fact is most things of that nature went in one ear and then came right out the other. He had had plenty of practice being the condescending teenager with his parents, he could do it here, especelly since the entire mission relied on what HE did. But really, he understood Chelle might be a bit stressed, so he just waved it off.
It's kay, I'll get it done. The data being said back, though it was entirely with his mind. No need to speak out loud really. His consciousness slowly infected one piece of technology at a time, whether by him getting within range of it or infecting it through a wireless connection with something he already had control of. Soon, the guards and IT personal found most of their computers locked up. Finally, Jake worked his way into the security mainframe and took that as well, finding something rather interesting after pinpointing where the large, physical database and server was. Someone was in the room, that much he could tell through the use of cameras, motion sensors, and heat sensors. What Grey didn't know was he had already triggered a low risk silent alarm before Data even showed up, and several guards were headed his way.
Really, who expected to just crawl their way through the sewers and into a heavily guarded information network then just plug in a cloud downloader without anyone noticing? Really, Grey was lucky Data was here, or else these guards would have probably easily dealt with him using their anti-metahuman weaponry. Jake appeared in the hall where the four guards strode to the room Grey was in, showing up behind them and then making a minor edit to his current body. He then had the speed to simply blitz the men, tying them up in restraints he created with a wave of his hand. After that, he techno ported into the room with a flash of digital green, right next to Grey.
"Nice rig you got there. Mine was better, when i still needed one that is, but it's not half bad." Data said, gesturing toward the male's computer. Yeah, he felt the computer's hardware, and knew it's specs. He also noticed what Grey was trying to do, and that was not something his employer would want.
"Ya know Cory, I get the whole hacker thing. It's really fun dumping a database on the internet for shits and gigs. Unfortunately though, I'm a blue hat now, and i gotta stop ya." Jake said, tapping into the server and disallowing any connections to it besides his own, including the laptops. Grey would find nothing wrong with his own laptop, but he wouldn't be able to connect to the now locked down database.
As for how Data knew Cory's name, well that was easy. Facial recognition was such a good tool, especelly combined with a simple vision edit that allowed him to see through any mask Cory may have. Literally, if Cory had ever appeared on any camera or the internet or whatever, Data would find a match and a name, it was that simple. He didn't necessarily know anything beyond that, but he had a name and that was likely enough to freak the guy out. If that method didn't work, Data had plenty of other ways to find out who the guy was.

Re: Lulz (Sorta Thrones Thread)
Blood trickled from the corner of her mouth as she stared at the monitors in front of her.
Data's eyes were now her's, and with him infiltrating the compound, his eyes were now every single security camera. Every monitor split into four, and Chelle was now looking at the entire confines of the building. Even the sub-sub basement.
"Good, good. Keep me posted with anything interesting." She said, her hand gliding to wipe the blood from her neck and face.
She heard soft clicks behind of her, the high heels interrupting her thoughts. The smell of perfume indicated Anna, her lawful servant.
"M'lady," Anna cooed, her fluffy fox tail swishing around behind of her.
"Hmm?" She hummed in reply.
"The chef tells me you've ordered more than your usual dose," Anna held a look of concern on her face, her eyes trailing to, what was original three empty glasses of O negative, had multiplied to six, a seventh in Chelle's hand, and an eighth on a tray held by another servant girl.
"And..?" Chelle asked, her eyes threatening to change from melting auburn to fiery crimson.
"I'm.. just worried. The last tie this happened... it was when Cilian passed.." Anna's own voice sounded just as broken as her facial expression.
Chelle scoffed and finished the glass of blood and picked up the eighth.
"I'm just hungry. I'll let you know if you need to worry." She said, her voice commanding. The lowly servant girl started to clean up all the empty glasses on the console in front of the Queen. Anna lingered for a few more moments before stepped toward the exit to stop the servant girl.
Even if Anna spoke low, Chelle could hear her.
"Make yourself busy somewhere else. I've got this." Anna ushered the servant out, and took her place. It had been a while since Anna had been by her master's side - ever since she had those twins of hers.

Re: Lulz (Sorta Thrones Thread)
Jardin had been keeping his ear to the door, ready just in case someone decided to check the room. The sound of a scuffle caught his attention and he took a step back. Drawing the weapon he had stolen from the guard he had tased, he took aim at the door.
Then the noises ceased. Slightly confused, Jardin waited anxiously. He jumped, though barely so, at the flash of green and the voice behind him, turning and aiming in one motion. The newcomer made comments regarding his hardware, his actions and even called him by his real name, "Cory." The last part was what Jardin found most unnerving, having not used his real name for about two years. However, a hacker with this..."Green Flash's" professed skill could probably find his old school ID or something.
Glancing down, Jardin noticed that his computer was showing a loss of connection sort of error. "Balls," the thief "sort-of" cursed. Kicking the monitor down, his attention returned to the man he knew was responsible.
Holding up his borrowed weapon, Jardin commented, "Well, this is probably gonna do 'fuck all'?" The weapon was quickly stored. "Still," he continued. "The case remains that you just locked me out of my only chance to get the information I need." Jardin sidestepped, positioning himself so that he could keep his attention on both he hacker and the door.
"So, what are we gonna do about that?" Truthfully, Jardin doubted it would have worked, but no needed to tell this guy that.

"Um, what am i going to do about it? Probably....... I don't know, not let you get it? It is sorta my job to secure this, for my organization and no one else." Data said, now moving all the data to the cloud Chelle had set up. It would be quicker then usual with Jake doing it, but it was still a lot of stuff to process, so they had time to chitchat.
"But, I'm interested, so if you can answer a few questions, I'll personally give you a copy of the entire database." Data said, playing games now. It wasn't fun if he just finished the operation and got back to doing whatever it was he did. He was doing this for fun, after all.
"What do you want it for? You a vigilante maybe? Just a thief? Or maybe you're doing it for the Lulz? Work with me here, if I'm gonna give it to ya I'm gonna wanna know where it's going." Jake said, leaning his translucent body on the machines in the room. A smile was across his face. He did like getting information from people.

Re: Lulz (Sorta Thrones Thread)
Jardin went over his options for a moment or two. It did not take long to decide, though. He had been wasting his time for months trying to find his target and mostly drew blanks. But this place had surveillance worldwide...something he disagreed with but beggers could not be choosers.
"Look," he began, speaking through a defeated sigh. "I have a serious reason for being here so this isn't just some game for me..." Knowing this assertion was nowhere near enough, the thief continued. "I have been looking for clues on the location of someone....someone I know is incredibly dangerous. But beyond that I know absolutely nothing about him." Noticing the slip he added, "Aside from the fact that they are male...though even that could be wrong."
"I..." Jardin hesitated, reluctant to explain his outlandish sources. "I was given a vague warning," he lied. "One I was inclined to believe but all I was given was a possible alias: Humanity." He studied the digital-man for a sign he recognised the name...
After a short silence, Jardin shrugged and said, "Part of me also wanted to see these servers wiped clean...mostly for my own satisfaction." He could not help but smirk at the admission.

"Interesting....... I know of him." Data said. Of course he did. When you have access to the entire internet 24/7, including the deep inter workings, as well as everything else technology that can pass information, you tend to learn things. Humanity had been on the news for God's sake. Sure that didn't mean Jake knew where he laid his head, but it wasn't like he even gave a shit.
"He is a so called 'vigilante' working mostly in LA. There seems to be a lot of his type roaming around there nowadays. Unfortunately i can't give you any information beyond a list of his known victims and possible associations with other vigilantes in the area. It's likely a lot more then you would get from this database. And as far as that goes...... I'm wiping it, but not after i copy it for my organization's own uses. Not exactly what you want i know, but i have goals too." Data said, now sitting on a large computer box and kicking his dangling feet. He then opened the male's laptop and it turned on, and in seconds, there was the info. A possible connection to the vigilante Drifter, a possible connection to several murders around the area of business men and criminals, and a list of reported encounters. The list was short for those who survived the confrontation, but the two names at the top signaled a single incident where they encountered the vigilante. The names read Patrick Marks and Lukas Labour.
"There you have it. Not even someone like me can figure out who these people are without field work. Use it, i assure you there is no more solid technological info on Humanity." Data said, just as he finished up his download of the system. The doors of the facility had all been sealed by Jake awhile ago to prevent interruption, so he hoped the guy had a way out that was not through them. He did kind of like the kid, anyway.
"Annnnd, that does it for me. I'll see ya later, alligator. Just know next time you mess up an operation i may not be able to be so nice. Orders and stuff, you know how it is." Data said, prepared to leave but still siting and kicking his legs like a child.

- Assuming Chelle has nothing to add to the deal for the time being.
Taking his bulky laptop, Jardin gave Humanity's info a brief skim. "Thanks," he said, slipping the computer into a low profile bag he slung onto his back. He'd get more in depth with the info once he had time.
Cautiously moving to the door, he prepared to open it. Pausing, he glanced at the Hacker. "Also, in the interest of full disclosure, I could have probably handled the situation earlier," he said. "I swear, I'm not 'dick measuring.' I'm really better than I look..."
He seemed to trail off as he spoke. This was because he had noticed the door was sealed. Instead, he had begun scanning the ceiling for duct access. That was basically how he got in. Now he was going to try backtracking.
He found a duct-screen over one of the servers. Climbing to it with his own practiced brand of ease, he bent the flimsy slats out of shape. "Later," he said, saluting over his shoulder. Then he climbed in and vanished from view...
