A Titanic First Patrol (Atlas) Empty A Titanic First Patrol (Atlas)

Post by Cerulean December 11th 2015, 7:21 pm

A nice middle of the afternoon weekday. It had been a weird couple of days, but now the sun was shining and Wrecker just had some...a lot...of pizza. Supreme too. That pizza parlor made a killing off of him.  They weren't busy but it looked like his order had them all running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Hopefully the tip sufficed. So he stood on top of a three story building, feeling full and waiting for his partner. Atlas. It would be their first patrol since forming their little alliance. The first rounds of the New York Titans. He still smiled at the name, because he really liked it. So far, he got the impression that Atlas would be there soon and then the shenanigans would ensue. Tightening his tie, he waited.

Pulling out his phone, he checked the time. The set appointment time, agreed by both men, wasn't for another fifteen minutes so he decided to check on his face paint.

A Titanic First Patrol (Atlas) Mask_by_ronniemena-d69nkoz

It looked fine it had not chipped from the pizza. "Awesome." He smiles and puts his phone away.

A Titanic First Patrol (Atlas) Empty Re: A Titanic First Patrol (Atlas)

Post by Atlas December 12th 2015, 12:35 am

Damian more than anything was ecstatic for today, his first official patrol with his new heroic accomplice by the name of Wrecker. Barring some awkward things that happened, things seemed to be goin on with a rather strong start. Staring at the mirror with mismatched eyes, he adjusted the new mask upon his face until the position of it followed by pressing out a few wrinkles within his ever beloved super suit. As always it was a specially altered  suit thing, that looked more like a badass suit than anything else. Once that was done he would take off through a window, making sure to clsoe the window before flying off.

The wind blowing through his hair as he zoomed onwards with superhuman speed. To the people below he would likely look much like a blur, flying through the air as he remembered the location that he was supposed to meet his partner. The place was near one of those pizza joints, one that sold pretty high quality pizza of his senses could be believed. Sure he could smell it from here, but food could wait for a little bit. Landing softly upon the roof, his eyes fell upon his face painted friend. Drawing in a deep breath he let a smile slip across his lips. "Hiya! I...might be a little early but I guess I was just too excited." He said with an almost uncontrollable enthusiasm within his voice.

"Ahaha, no worries, man. It's all good. I like the energy." He said, patting him on the shoulder. It was good to see that his partner was not only puntual but reasonably early. He didn't think about that trait in a partner, but that was nice nonetheless. Atlas just made himself look more reliable in Wrecker's eyes. Returning the smile, he beckoned him to follow.

"Shall we?" He said running his way over to the edge and leaping across the street to the building's roof. Without stopping, since he knew Atlas could out pace him in his sleep, he continues to move from roof to roof looking out for his home. The New York Titans were on the move.

Wrecker was seemingly pleased with his own enthusiasm for the patrol, and that made him even happier with how the whole thing would likely go. Keeping the wide dopey grin, he nodded a couple of times. "Well I do have boundless energy." At the very least he had a lot of stamina on him, making allnighters not exactly a problem for him. Some people could even say that he didn't need sleep, but that was more of an guess than anything else. As Wrecker took running across the rooftops, he began to run along with them. Keeping slow was a slightly difficult thing, but he managed to do that nonetheless to avoid leaving them in the dust.

Even when holding back he tended to be swift, a step ahead of Wrecker. Deciding to stop the jumping portion of things, he began to float through the air alongside his friend. "So what do you think we should deal with first? A bank robbery or something a little more high profile?" Depending upon what they wanted to deal with, well he would be fine with that.

"Yeah yeah, Mr. Perfect." He said, smiling and sticking his tongue out, as they began traveling above the city. As much as he loved have a safety net of a partner, it can sometimes bug him that he felt like he had the sidekick spot of the team. But perhaps he was just being over competitive, even with Atlas seemingly easily outpacing him. Grrr.

"I had not heard anything on the television, before I left, so I suppose we can take what comes along. Like fishing. You ever been fishing?" He asked, vaulting over some pipes.

Mister perfect was a new one but then again people did mistake his own power for perfection more often than not. Maybe people were just jealous, but then again that was not something that Atlas ever really thought about. His powers were just something that he had, and to think someone would be jealous of them didn't register with him. Slowing down required a little effort, but then again holding a conversation was tough when he outpaced his partner. "Never been fishing actually. That's where you like use rods and reel to catch fish in lakes right?" He tried to recall what the activity was but it was slightly difficult. That was when he heard something, or something that sounded important anyway.

Gunshots tended to be important, because someone was shooting at something. "hold up...I think I hear something....probably gunshots." Stopping in the midst of their rooftop leaping, he tried to source the sound before pointing in one direction. "Probably coming from there." He said giving Wrecker enough time to understand what he was talking about before keeping that leisurely pace going. It only took a few minutes to get there and the firefight was still in progress. The police were firing at what looked to be men dressed in black gear, reminding him of SWAT minus the words. Mismatched eyes quickly scanned over the scenario as he thought of a way to deal with things.

"Okay, you lead things. Do that wrecking ball smash thing, break their cover and I'll....get the hostages." Somehow they had managed to gather a good bit of barricading through the use of a few vehicles with some people being held at gunpoint. If he had calculated things right, well the civilians should not get hit by anything. So he could get this all done safely.

He laughed, realizing that Atlas had never been fishing before and if they ever decided to hang out again, there was something they could do. "Pretty mu--" He slid to a halt when it had become clear that his partner had heard something. Gunshots. Damn, that's never good, especially in this town.

With that, Wrecker made to follow his companion towards the sounds of combustion and other noise. He looked over the side of the building, when they reached their destination. "Either they have been planning this a while, and/or someone is back them for that kind of gear to be used." Was all he could really see at this distance, and experience. He stood up and looked at Atlas, who seemed to already have a plan in place. He laughed when he mentioned the wrecking ball thing. "Alright, sounds good. I'll distract, you attack, and then we can clean up the rest."

He reached out for a fist bump, briefly, before taking a few steps back. This jump had to be very on target. If he missed by too much, innocent people would get hurt. Shaking his hands, he attempted to get hyped up for the jump. "Cmon man, those people need you. It's time to be a hero. Lets do this! Leroooooyyyyyyy!!!!" He yelled and took off running. "See you in a minute." Wrecker smiled and gave a friendly slap on the ass of Atlas.

Leaping off the building he quickly aimed himself towards the barricade. The wind yanked his hair back, and he smiled widely. "I came in like a WRECKERRRRRR BALL!" With that a loud and thunderous crash sounded as the cars were crushed into and just utterly destroyed. Glass shatter and metal crudely bent into shapes normally reserved for the junkyard. Dust and debris went everywhere.

"Yupp, pretty much." He said with a nod, responding to the reach for a fist bump...by well fist bumping. Playing this smart was likely the only way they could get those people out of here without casualties but then again he had his own way of doing things. His way of protecting people from his own speed usually helped out and that helped considering that they were otherwise be reduced to a fine paste thanks to his speed. As soon as the planning portion was done, Wrecker would leap into the frey of things with an exceptional bound. Damian couldn't help but smirk as his eyes followed them, before the x-ray vision kicked into once again get a count of all the not bad guys that were there.

He needed to get in there and take them out within a span of maybe five minutes. The reference to that one terrible meme managed to get a laugh out of him however, making this tense moment slightly better. As the living wrecking ball collided with the barricade, he went into motion with the usual inhuman speed.A loud boom echoed outwards as the sound barrier found itself being so easily broken. Everything seemed to be moving so slowly compared to him, people barely able to react to the sound that was even slower than him. People huddled within the building held by the armed men as he broke through a window, outpacing the shattered glass as he scooped up a few cowering people. One second has passed as he would place around two people in a safe place, his mind keeping on the time as he went for the others, some of them with guns pressed against their heads.

They would disappear before their captors eyes as the rest were placed behind the police barricade before he appeared within the midst of the people with their weapons. "Wow, that took less time than I thought. Guess...i'm just getting faster." He noted as guns suddenly turned towards him, people surprised more than anything by the show of speed."Okay drop the weapons before me and my partner kick your b..." Well that was when he found himself being punched into a wall, and it actually hurt. Concrete broke around where he collided with it, a low stinging sensation flowing through his jaw as he pulled himself out to see what looked to be a feminine figure in all black hovering there.

"Sorry, but it won't be that easy hero."

Slowly, but methodically, Wrecker stood up on a car that looked like it had been chewed up. When Atlas just kind of popped in the middle of the bad guys, he smiled. They were about to have their first real fight as The New York Titans. It was awesome to think about, especially when he started going into how they were going to-- "What the--" Much to his surprise, Atlas was gone as quickly as he appeared. At least this time he could see where the hell he actually ended up.

As Atlas crawled out of the wall, Wrecker made sure to tighten his tie. Seems that the good guys weren't the only ones that had metahuman support. Or they were lead by them, who knows. Either way, Wrecker was ready to throw down. Enough talk.

"Ass kicking it is then!" Wrecker said, almost cheerfully. He stepped down from the car and in one full motion, pulled the car and flung it towards the floating face punches and what appeared to be her goons.

A Titanic First Patrol (Atlas) Empty Re: A Titanic First Patrol (Atlas)

Post by Atlas January 19th 2016, 7:55 pm

Atlas rubbed his sore jaw as he took a good look of the person that had struck him into the wall. Only someone with a great amount of strength would have been able to hurt him even a little, meaning this person was nothing to play with. As soon as they had talked, a car was flying towards them in an arc. While they may have looked like a blur to many, but to Atlas it was as if they were running. One minutes they were standing there, and then the car being thrown was held aloft in the air with a single hand. "The insects continue to gather." She said slamming the car against the ground with a loud rumble, the metal frame of the vehicle bent ever further. "All of you deal with this one, I will deal with their partner." She said turning her attention towards  Atlas who was now fully recovered thanks to the limited exposure to the sun that he had.

"I don't know who you are, but you'll need to hit a lot harder than that to take me down." He said, spitting a small glob of blood to the floor. This only caused the female to chuckle, as if that were the most novel thing she had heard. That was when she moved, aiming a fist towards him face with exception force and speed, enough so that he could barely track it. This fist collided with a hand brought up to block it, and yet the shock of the punch rattled through his hand as well as shattered the floor underneath him.

Meanwhile the guys in black turned their attention upon Wrecker, twisting dials upon their black suits. It looked like they were more than just guys with guns. They raised their guns and unleashed a hail of what looked to be...lasers.

A Titanic First Patrol (Atlas) Empty Re: A Titanic First Patrol (Atlas)

Post by Cerulean January 22nd 2016, 1:45 am

Briefly, his attention was turned towards Atlas, after his car projectile was slammed to the concrete. The force of their bout was enough to crack what was underneath him. Grimacing, he turned back to find the black suited lackey boys were tuning themselves up for some punishment. "This is going to hurt like balls." He said, tightening his tie.

When they opened fire, Wrecker stood his ground and cover his face with one arm. Unfortunately, it seemed that taking it was a bad choice. The thing he learned instantly, that lasers vaporize skin and not tried to break into like a bullet. It burst past the his normal clothing and torn into his skin. His sharp shouts of pain fired through the air. The steam that came off make him look like he just stepped out of the shower.

"AH! YOU-MOTHER-FUCKING-BUMBLE-DICKS!"

Trying to give himself some breathing room, he jumped up just enough to slammed his fists into the ground. With a rumble, the force moved towards the suited men, either launching them into the air or just throwing them to the now grooved sidewalk. The pain was terrible and he slumped to one knee. There was no getting around it: Wrecker was pretty badly hurt, and last he knew regeneration was not something he was capable of. Panting, he began to look at his various spot of seared flesh. Granted, if he wasn't amazingly durable and had a LOT of cells to burn, he might have been a pile of goop.

About this time, those who were launched into the air were making unpleasant landing back behind their makeshift cover. Some of them ended up on the roof and Wrecker took no notice. Something else had grabbed his attention by the ears. His wounds. They began to act strange. They quivered and slowly to close. He couldn't believe his eyes. This gene must have gained a new trick, at some point. A large grin overtook the young man's face.

"O-ho-ho-ho you guys are in such deep shit now."

Laughing obnoxiously, he charged forward shoulder checking one of the men through a window. Grabbing another, by the leg, he swings him about like a ragdoll. The crowd looked on as Wrecker begun to use one mother fucker to beat up other mother fuckers. WHACK! SMACK! BONK!

"You're pretty strong, a little too strong." Atlas said with a growl, the pain of the pain colliding with his fists still something that was present. There after all had been no damage to repair, just pain that was flowing through his limb.

"Too strong or too strong for you big boy?" She asked with a smirk, quickly grabbing onto his hand with a grip that caused bones to crack. Then before he even knew what was happening, he was being thrown upwards into the air at a high speed. This was followed by her slamming a fist into his stomach, everything difficult to follow as the wind was knocked from him. This was followed by him then being slammed downwards with another powerful blow that caused him to hit the street pretty hard.

"Ow, that freaking hurt." Damian grumbled, trying to push himself to his feet as the woman would be hovering only a few feet away from him.

"Tired of being beaten into the ground or do I need to keep going?"

At this moment, Wrecker could not think of a time he felt more badass. He just discovered a new power within him and was now stomping the asses of these laser firing thugs. With them taken down, excluding a few, the crash of Atlas had caught his attention as the rumble shook and probably put more damage into the road. This was surely going to make it into the newspaper. He kicked one of the already downed gunman into on of his friends that were still up. Moving right he clotheslined another and proceeded to yank the gun out of the suit's gun and slapped him with it.

"Bad henchmen. We don't use guns on innocent people. You are all going to bed after dinner. NO ice cream. Mmmm ice cream."

Atlas and the mystery woman talking then pulled his attention back into the fight. Right. We were battling and shiz. It looked like she had the upper hand but noooo this won't do. This won't fly. This won't even float. Wrecker made a run for it. He launched himself up towards her. "My turn, Floaty Bitch!"Wrecker cried, trying to spear her out of the air.
