Lovely Weather We're Having [Open]

There’s an unusual amount of metallic noises and adjustment noises from the changing room before Alicia returns changed.

“Not a word.” She says to everyone, clearly a little embarrassed by her new attire.  

Having heard whilst changing, she promptly addresses Ares’ statement.  “Maybe your right.  But fortunately I’ve put myself in a position where incapacitating is physically easier then killing.  You see I intend to avoid that choice.  As for finding something to use against Makeli, that’s a constellation prize, if I can’t use it against them then I’ll get over it.  I’ll settle for just getting my dad back.”  

She raises her brows at Danny’s final statement. “Wow, didn’t really expect a stranger to be rushing into my battles like this.  I’ll need to make some stops on the way, but sure, tell me more.”  

She pokes curiously at her dressed wound, visibly perplexed to why its healing so fast.  She then looks up having realised something.

"Shit, I never even asked your names."

Ares shrugged, and dropped the debate. Her funeral, although he couldn't help but be curious as to where she'd end up. He leaned back on the wall, still feeling some of his internal organs healing from his earlier wounds. He grunted, as tissue stretched and hardened to reconnect in his chest.

He wasn't sure if he could trust these girls, but after some deleberating he figured he could handle them. Besides, they both seemed to straight edge for anything "bad". "Warren." He said, using his birth name rather than his alias. He stood by the door now, opening it as he listened for something. "I think there are sirens in the distance." He said, "The snows gone but the cops aren't although I doubt they'd look here."

"Yeah, I tend to do that." Getting involved in other people's affairs actually came to be how Danny carried her job. "I'm Danny that's Mitsuko, her half sister is who can probably help us the most, if she wants to be helpful. We can compile all of the places you need to stop and then figure out where to go first." The current shoppe gave them a perfect location to hide from the police for now, but eventually, Danny would need to inform someone of the fact a known criminal currently acted as her partner. But, there were some other places to go to before then. "So, where do we need to start with this endeavor, and one thing you never got into, the police are after you, but what about the corporation. Surely they should have someone out looking for you."

She smirks “Sure they’ve sent someone, they’re called the police. I’m one woman, pretty much just a mosquito compared to them, why risk face by doing anything more? Still, maybe now we’ve broken their fancy weather machine they’ll up their game, assuming they didn’t just –let- me take it anyway.”

She pauses to consider the way forward. “Well I’ve narrowed down the places they could have my Dad working to seven. That’s in this country anyway, I figured the US was the best place to start. “ She sighs, “The idea I might have to take this global is too depressing to explore right now. You seemed to think Mitsuko’s half sister could help figure out where to go first, so I suppose that’s where to start.”

“Anyway, nice to meet you Danny, Mitsuko and Warren. I’m Alicia, I appreciate you having helped me out. Speaking of which… what’s with this stuff wrapping my wound? And did anyone pick up anything of mine, anything at all? I’m missing most my kit here.”

Ares listened to what the woman had to say, and raised his eyebrows after the question. Her wounds seemed to have healed very fast, and he didn't think she was a meta.


(Sorry for the short post, wanted to get it done for tonight )

"Yeah those bandages are pretty neat. Mitsy makes them from some fabric she makes and it heals the wound almost immediately. Gets people out of some pretty serious scrapes." On a few occassion, Danny made perfect use of those bandages, and she knew she would take need of them in the future. "I'll pack some of them for our trip to NoCal."

Danny reached into her backpack to pull out a tablet. The first thing she needed was a quick way to get out of New York and into the safety of her own turf. Once she got two tickets on a very long flight to California, she would listen to where Alicia felt they needed to begin looking. "We've got a nice seventeen hour flight, so I guess we can go over where we can start while we're doing nothing better with our time. You can stay with me at my parent's place. It's pretty big enough and they're never home, so it will be fine."

Once Danny made her preparation she would turn to Ares. "Well, Mr. Warren, it was nice to meet you. I hope you don't do anything horrible and I hope nothing horrible happens to you."

Alicia re-examined her wrapped wound again

“Wow, this fabric is pretty crazy stuff then… Hey we should keep in touch Mitsuko, I might have some pretty lucrative custom orders for you if you’re this talented.”

Then she notices the phone and ID’s left next to her

“So you guys did pick something up! Phew!” She grabbed what was left there stuffing it in her pockets.

“So we’re off then? Right now? Well... I guess this is goodbye then Warren… I’m not sure what to say; so I guess I’ll be blunt. You’re fucking scary and I hope we never meet again, but thanks regardless.”

Ares couldn't help but laugh, and shrugged. "Horrible, huh? Sounds about right." He was spinning his blade, clearly bored. He heard sirens. "Annnd, that's my cue." he said turning, to see police cruisers having rounded the corner. He turned and gave a little wave, then seemed to think it over, before dropping all but one finger.

He stepped out of the building, before pulling out his sidearms, and firing at the cruisers, taking out the tires. Before jumping over the nearest one, and disappearing into an alleyway.
