The Legacy

Personality: Melodi has always been kind, that's how her parents raised her. When her parents divorced, she went with her Dad, and, being a cop, he made sure to instill knowledge and obedience of the law into her. She can't stand watching others being hurt in any way and will voice her opinion about how they should stop. She's very outspoken and others tend to get along with her. She tends to be immature at times, and due to her ADHD, she can seem to be random or inattentive at times, though she tries not to be.

History:Melodi was born to Torrence and Laura Tesla. Her Dad wasn't always home as he worked frequent hours as a cop, and her Mother was a Real Estate Agent. She was the first to be born as a set of identical twins, her sister being Aria Tesla. For twelve years of her life, she lived with parents that would frequently fight until they finally divorced from each other. Her Dad got legal custody of her and she rarely saw her sister as they moved away from Orgeon to Las Vegas. Her Grandparents on her Dad's side lived out there, and with their declining health, he wanted to be there in case anything were to happen to them.
Melodi's would begin to develop about a year after they moved away. She was always capable of enduring a lot of electricity when she would stick things into the electric outlet as a small child, but time slowed down to a certain extent at this point and she could manipulate electricity, though, at the time, it wasn't that powerful. A year of school went by and she began figuring out that she was one of those "meta-humans" that you see all the time on the news and the internet.
After that school year was over and summer vacation had started, she went to Oregon to see her Mom and her sister. She didn't keep in contact with either of them that well over the year and, while she was able to connect with her Mom, she felt distance from her sister, partly due to her new powers and partly due to something about her sister. She left to go back to Las Vegas with barely any exchanges between her Sister.
School progressed well that year. She was able to maintain As and Bs, and she had a good circle of friends around her. She continued experimenting with her developing powers and learned that she could influence people, mostly what they could feel, but she had some influence on sight, smells, emotions and all that. One day, she saw the same bully picking on one specific kid as he always did. He had picked on him several times, and despite her occasional protests, he wouldn't stop. Sick of seeing the smaller kid getting picked on, she made the bully think he was on fire. He swatted at his arms, dropped to the ground, rolling around while he screamed "Someone throw some water on me!" He didn't pick on that kid again.
The next summer vacation came, and this time, her sister went to Las Vegas. She didn't want this distance between them to stay, so, after a couple weeks of awkward conversing, she decided to show Aria her powers. To her surprise, Aria was gleeful about it, and showed Melodi that she could do similar things.

The Powers and Weaknesses

Powers

Power 1:Enhanced Reflexes- Her nervous system is more proficient than that of the average humans. Needing to withstand the more-than-average amount of bioelectricity in her body, a side effect of this nervous system is that it can further utilize the speed in which electricity travels, improving her reaction time and the speed at which she can think.

Power 2: Electricity Manipulation- By artificially increasing her bioelectricity, she can magnetize other sources of electricity and control them

Power 3: Sense Manipulation-[[Player Permission Required]- By stimulating certain areas of the brain, she can make others perceive things through their senses that aren't actually there.

Power 4: Electricity Resistance- Her body has the capability to take electricity and absorb it, allowing her to use to it to enhance her powers.
Weakness(es)

Weakness 1: Range- The further the person she is trying to affect, the less effective is her ability to manipulate their senses. If she's touching them or touching metal that they're touching, it is most effective them, but this can make it obvious that she is the one causing this. If she's manipulating their senses from a distance, they are able to increase their distance from her, making her powers less effective.

Weakness 2: Swimming- If she were to use her powers in a body of water, she would shock herself and the others in the water.

Weakness 3: Physical Capabilities- Disregarding her nervous system, her body is still that of a regular human. Her strength caps off at some point, and any damage done to her will take the same amount of time to heal as a normal human.

Weakness 4: Electricity- Her body can adapt outside electricity into her system to a certain extent, but with a large enough source of electricity, her body will undergo the same effects that a Taser has on a regular person, and it does have the ability to kill her in large amounts.

Weakness 5: Touch- When she touches someone else, she tends to absorb their bioelectricity. She absorbs what the person feels just by touch, meaning she can feel their pain and, in extremes, this could cause sensory overloads on her brain, since she would be experiencing what another person is feeling and what she is feeling.
RP Mechanics

RP Mechanic(s): Due to neurons that fire faster, time moves slower for Melodi than a regular person, albeit, not an extraordinary amount. She also has a faster reaction time and is able to recall things quickly due to her neurons firing faster.
Due to the abnormal amount of bioelectricity in her body and her improved nervous system, Melodi has ADHD, finding it hard to sit still with time passing somewhat slower and her muscles fidgeting every now and then.
