Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

The Legacy |
Personality: Silus is a person. He's about as easily explained as advanced rocket science to a four year old and having them understand it. Silus' personality is an ever changing, ever evolving thing as he learns to react and live within the world he lives in. Of course, Silus is also a kid, though he is not an unintelligent one, and while he may still very much give himself the appearance of a child he has shining moments where he can be far more mature than one would expect of him. Silus at a glance appears to be shy boy that tends to keep quiet and isolated from most other people. This is most likely due to prior events in his life that led to the inevitable trust issues and the inability to properly associate himself with other people due to an inferiority complex. Or it could just be because he doesn't like people and is an anti-social little bastard. Either of those answers would work on the test. Silus is very secretive, and selective of whom acquires his trust. His trust is a thing very hard earned, but (unlike most people) his trust is near impossible to break once it's acquired. Silus places a heavy gravity upon the ability to trust an individual, and when one has his trust he is the most loyal and faithful friend one could ask for. Once Silus trusts you, his actually personality beneath the mask begins to show ever so slightly. Beneath the social isolation and the trust issues, Silus is an adventurous little guy with an enthusiasm for learning, despite the vast brainpower he lost when reacquiring his soul form the Veil. Silus reveals to be a kind and caring individual that believes that all things are inherently good, and that even those with the blackest hearts and those soaked in sin are able to return to that inherent goodness. Diving a little bit further down, one could eventually find that Silus is quite the cunning and mischievous little trickster. He may be kind and he may care for all things, but he has little tolerance for those who would speak down to anyone and quite often times takes an almost manic delight from uses tricks to employ some form of counter-action that will "bring them down a peg" or simply to annoy and irritate the "Holier than thou" person. Giving people their "just desserts" in a sense. Silus (to that effect) tends to present himself as a "Fae" even going so far as to mimic the weaknesses to Iron, the inability to lie, and the whimsical and easily distracted nature that values the beauty of things. Though his reasoning for this is unclear (to even him) he's convinced himself that he was just playing and pretending, but then realized it was safer if people were misinformed rather than left in ignorance. Finally, Silus LOVES art. He is a painter by trade and he's always lured in and captivated by the works of others, just as much as people are captivated by his. He is a phenomenal artist, this (though no one knows this) he used his artistic power to emulate glamour and ultimately further "mimic" Fae behavior. History: An interesting question. "Who was Silus?" It's too bad nobody is really asking that, or really gives a damn. I'm convinced no one reads these things anyway, or they read them and then they think they know everything about the person. You don't know me! You don't know Mein Kampf! Okay now seriously I'm just gonna give the history now... Silus is the son of The Existential One and the being known as Arcana. He was born through the use of various energies that were actually able to emulate the energies of the soul. Once his soul was formed, the remainder of creation happened in a way that was oh so far from natural, but I'm not going to waste any more time than I need to on this. Silus has two dads. I'll give you a couple seconds to get over this... and we're moving on. Silus was born a day after his father's birthday which makes his birthday December 25th and the Christmas baby was supposed to be a twin. He was to have a twin sister named Helena, though she passed due to birthing complications. I know it sounds awful but trust me that was a Christmas miracle. Silus survived though he was born with what was assumed to be a rare "genetic defect" in the sense that unlike his two older half brothers, and his older biological brother, Silus was born without any form of power. This in part was due to the fact that Silus' very soul was "devoid", or rather that Silus himself did not even appear to register or become recognized by inherent stimuli within the world around them. Through the determination of Archon, Silus was rapidly aged and educated by their insanely intelligent father. Within a few months he was the perfect test tube baby, the age of 11 and all caught up to speed. The only thing he was lacking was experience. That would come later though. Other than being like every other little brother, Silus did whatever he could to fit in in a community of super powered people, and needless to say it didn't go well for the little guy. He was pushed into the river with a weight tied to his sneaker by other kids, he was bullied to the point that he barely would let go of his one dad's leg. The "Gene-Hazard" known as Silus would live his life beside his faithful wolf companions Abra, Hocus and Kaisses. His three friends and the only things he could ever count on, as his brothers seemingly had never wanted to be associated with him. It was later revealed that Hocus was a fragment of a disembodied being from outside the world we know, sent to ensure that Silus was kept safe until a later date. Silus discovered his powers when he woke up after having been kidnapped by an unknown person and left in a dessert like terrain not far from their home. Silus was scared, frightened and in danger, but it wasn't until he was rescued that his powers revealed themselves. Revealed themselves when the think known as "Ouroboros" discretely charged him, causing Silus to inadvertently murder his own half brother, as Ourobors had planned it. With Silus isolated and shunned by the remainder of the family Silus grew close to Ouroboros, and subsequently the "Good" he saw in Ouroboros, the fatherly figure, the man that Ouroboros once was. It was because of Silus, and some guy with brain lightning beating Ouroboros, that Zell was able to finally able to reclaim his mind. But not before all Hell broke loose. Silus had gone to OCEAN, a place that Zell was once affiliated with, there searching for Shi Ryurou in hopes that the man Zell looked to as a father would be able to help bring him back out of Ouroboros, and then they could all together take the Isle back peacefully. He left to seek help specifically so that his family didn't continue on with their plotting to kill Michael, his biological older brother. Unfortunately, his older brother Michael made his way to the OCEAN base as well, and soon a battle ensued. Silus determined that he would be brave, just like his dad was when his dad used to be a hero, and Silus was so convinced that he was going to save everyone. He was convinced he was going to be his father's son. Finally someone other than his father would be proud of him, finally someone other than his daddy would have a reason to love him. But this battle ended poorly. His first time being a hero and his own biological brother, his own flesh and blood, THE VERY PERSON HE JUST FOUGHT THEIR FAMILY TO KEEP ALIVE had attempted to murder him. A seventeen year old attempted to murder an eleven year old. Had it not been for Silus' closest friend, the wolf "Abra" sacrificing himself Silus would have died. As Sius mourn the death of his closest compatriot he could feel the weight of everything dragging him down. Pulling him under. He decided to be a hero. In the end he saved no one, he simply got someone killed. He tried to make his daddy proud, he tried to be brave. He only succeeded in screwing up royally, and was convinced he'd lost his father's affection because of his failure. His failure cost him the life of his best friend, it scarred him. The final words he had with his talking canine companion were etched into his mind eternally. He had lost everything. He was broken, beaten. He lost his father, he lost his best friend, he lost his his brother. All because he tried to be brave and do the right thing... He wanted to die. But when he asked he was told, by the same brother who just murdered his best friend in cold blood, "Death's too good for you". Those words did not scar him, to say it scarred him insinuates that it's healed. It hasn't. The wound is still there, and even in his modern day the words still haunt his dreams on occasion. Regardless of whatever Michael said though, Silus still loved him. That was who he was. Who he is. Even when no one else saw it, even when Silus didn't want to see it. He still saw the good in Michael, and he would fight for it. The time would come where he would actually take a serious blow to the stomach that snapped his spinal column, taking the blow to save an incapacitated Michael just as Abra had done to save the incapacitated Silus. Had it not been through the efforts of Xarlessa, a healer, Silus would have been dead. After those events, Silus continued to help care for Michael, whom had lost the ability to walk. Silus was also "gifted" by their father (Zell, whom had reclaimed his sanity from Ouroboros) a new pup... well it wasn't actually a pup as it was made from a living human being, but the human baby would have died otherwise, so it all worked out. The pup's name would turn to be "Yancey" and he and Silus would continue the rest of life together. Though Yancey wasn't exactly "Beta" material in the eyes of the two other wolves. Soon they grew a dislike for Yancey. Hocus out of the stubborn inability to accept that Abra was actually gone. Kaisses out of contempt for Silus that Abra had to die in the first place. Kaisses, blaming Silus for Abra's death, then proceeded to ally himself with a woman in white, and with her assistance he lured Silus and Hocus away, where he turned and bit down on Hocus' throat and bound Silus, forcing him to watch as events transpired. Kaisses demanded that Hocus renounce Silus as a friend and as a master, and further more to blame him for Abra's death. Hocus refused and so Kaisses transformed into a werewolf and began to forcefully rip out Hocus' claws one at a time, demanded the same thing over and over again. Each claw came out, and the paws would weep a crimson blood. Though Hocus still refused to blame Silus for trying to be a hero. Meanwhile Silus was forced to watch ever claw, hear every whine and whimper, and watch every torture that ensues. Kaisses gouged an eye out of Hocus and squeezed a lime into the socket, keeping the wolf alive through ancient druidic magics. Silus had to watch still, even when Kaisses broke Hocus' legs in half and tore them off and proceeded to beat him with his own severed limbs. Hocus refused to admit it, even when Silus begged him to just admit it and end the pain. Kaisses skinned Hocus alive and told him that if he would admit Silus was at fault, he would restore Hocus as if the damage had never been done. Hocus, in reply...spat blood in Kaisses' face. So Kaisses ripped out his throat and stuffed a grenade in before allow the wolf to finally die. Yancey had finally come to the rescue, but Kaisses opened a rift between worlds, and dropped Yancey into an known world and unknown realm in an unknown time. Kaisses then laughed and told Silus the same thing Michael did. "No...Death's too good for you. You can LIVE with this. All of it. You're fault. How's that feel Silus? To know everything you love dies because of you?" and then with that, Kaisses vanished, and Silus was truly alone. Silus joined in a few groups to practice heroism, he even ended up in the realm of Arcadia, Avalon and other areas highly aligned with the Fae. He spend a great deal of time there and even eventually managed to earn their respect, despite their existence outside of time and space. While in the groups he managed to befriend a young man named Ryan Lester, who would end up being one of the few people Silus could actually call a friend. Though time and time again Silus found himself opposed to a being known as Lucius Alba, though Silus opposed him on several occasions, he merely opposed the concept of Lucius doing evil as a slave to false pretense, hatred and idealism. He truly saw the good in what Lucius was trying to do, but recognized that he could not achieve these great things without breaking free of the chains that bound him to hatred and paltry pride. In these events, Lucius Alba killed Ryan's mother, and eventually Ryan in turn killed Lucius' daughter. The cycle had continued and Silus was powerless to help either being that he called his friend. In a moment of suffering he turned to his god-father for guidance, and resided with him for a small time as he tried to get his mind in the right place. But even after that, there was an event which revealed that even his god-father was a darker being that had completely enraptured and consumed by his evil, leaving Silus once more feeling alone. Unable to live with the pain of being alone he sought out a forbidden "primordial being" known as "Sin" the primordial of evil. Sin however had been the one who had once given Silus amnesia, and had introduced him to Deluge and the Alai's (Dr.Death, Prometheus and Amir). Sin was now seemingly "tamed" or rather "devoured" by a particularly strange being who had knowledge and a particular interest in the one known as "Yancey." So with the agreement that Silus would give Sin his soul, Sin would help him bring Yancey back to this realm. Unfortunately while sending himself through realms to retrieve his companion, Silus ended up losing his soul in a place called "The Veil" which is a place between both life and death. This left the body of Silus alive and functioning, but nigh emotionless and so very cold and calculating. Silus' God-Father and Sin's true vessel rejected this reality and formulated a plan to save his favored son, by entrusting Yancey with the plan. Yancey eventually retrieved Silus' soul by sacrificing his accumulated knowledge on "The Holy Light", his power, and was forced to essentially become weaker and less powerful. But he was able to help Hyperion and Elena Marie stave off Hellshrike (Sin) and reunite body with soul. Now, finally, we're here with a soul that's been through a fate worse than hell and back united with his body. Unfortunately, the scarring and the damage done to his memory by existing in the Veil for so long was almost irreparable, and now instead of being an occultist that rivals the greatest of them all, he is simply an experienced young boy, unfortunately his soul could be any age considering the differences in time between the Veil and the living. Archon then revealed that only Silus could survive in the veil for as long as he did because Silus was a being that "did not truly exist". A revelation that took many people by surprise. When pressed for answered, Archon revealed that Silus was a being perfectly balanced between Creation and The Void, ultimately making Silus a being of endless power and possibility, while also keeping true to the nature and inherent "worthlessness" of the Void's demeanor. The two qualities living in perfect balance were the explanations for why Silus possessed the power to fabricate existence by simply feeling creative urges, though held such destructive power as "The Eternal Essence". It was then speculated that Three Ways to Epica were representations of possibilities, and his alluring voice was a natural formulation that emulated a vocal creation similar to Archon's. Not long after getting his soul back, Silus almost sacrificed himself in a trick by "The Woman in White". In order to resurrect Zell or "The Lych" (whom was his grandfather, but the curse was passed to Zell) a life needed to be sacrificed. Silus was unaware of that however, and so he lay dying as his father returned to the plane of existence they were on. The Woman in White arrives to reveal that she used Silus, because she knew Zell would give ANYTHING to save Silus. After a struggle with the woman in white, Silus was finally able to help Zell regain control over Imperium. Though shortly after regaining Imperium events went south once more, but Silus remains ever positive and ever faithful to his heroic virtues as a renown and capable young hero and an aspiring artists/musician prodigy. Due to the nature of his "Death" and his alignment with Lucius Alba and Humanity, Silus eventually seemed to develop an unhealthy psychological condition where his repressed darker thoughts seemed to manifest subconsciously, the power of creation within him molding the dark thoughts into a fully fledged being. The being was eventually staved off when Humanity explained to Silus that one cannot reject their inner darkness or all the thoughts they had. Having thoughts does not make one impure or imperfect. He needed to embrace the fact he had these thoughts, but have the power and courage to do what Humanity himself could not, and not allow those feelings and idealizations to take hold and ruin him. In following this advice and with some assistance from his god-father he was able to accept himself for what he was, and ultimately began to embrace who he truly was in a balanced and healthy way. |
The Powers |
Devoid Glamour: (Permission based) - Tapping into the power of infinite possibility that exists within him, Silus pulls forth a glamour that warps the surrounding area per events to fits his own devices and desires. A good example is the ability to trap or trick individuals into believing they live in a television show, a role-playing forum, or that they are somehow now in some form of skewed reality in which is not their own, but within their own. While within this glamour the rules of reality no logner take affect, meaning that if a room full of people caught fire, and Silus utilized this ability, and the imposed setting did not have fire, then the fire would not be felt by those affected by the ability. In addition, Silus can create hazards that will affect people, despite not actually being there. Though once the effects of this glamour lose effect, the damage itself is revealed to not exist and is not felt. When in this "glamour" if the scenario is completed or whenever he so chooses, he may condense it all and keep the memory of the event alive via a painting. Child of Balance Physiology: - Basic superhuman speeds, stamina and durability that works in accord with the fact his body has absorbed so many magical and entropic energies and was literally a compilation of both nothingness and everything at the same time. This is the reason he is able to bring his other dimensional selves in to act as doppelgangers, and why he is unbound to concepts such as time, age, existential principles such as life and death, and mind control. Eternal Struggle: Silus maintains superhuman physique at any time that he begins to feel stress as existential energies coalesce and empower every fiber of his being. His strength is augmented to levels capable of pushing a semi truck to the side casually, or throwing a 90 ton sphere of condensed dark-matter. Siren's voice: (Permission based) - Silus, when he sings, has the ability to influence the emotions of all who hear him sing. The "influence" is greater when you are hearing him in person rather than over the phone or radio, and no matter how much emotion is drawn out many common people can't help but be captivated by his voice. If he sings to an animal, it will from then forth consider him a member of it's pack, not requiring the need to sing all the time for animals. Artistic Creationism: Silus is a highly creative individual who tends to favor painting and drawing as well as poetry for a creative outlet. As such through this creative desire, he indulges the part of his soul that is tied to creation and existence and possibility. As such his fingertips are enchanted to actually produce an unlimited amount of paint/oil pastels and other artistic materials when desired. In doing so his power to "draw" or "paint" an item on a two-dimensional surface also allows him to pull that item out and materialize it as a real item in the 3-D world. When pulled into the 3-D world it functions as if it were a 3D item, or creature. Soul of Unity: Silus is well aware and immersed into the world of the occult. As such he is able to enchant, learn and experience things of an occult nature in more ease than others as a subsequent factor of his specialized superhuman intellect due to the ability to empathize and understand the intrinsic nature of things. Curse of The Listener: Silus has the ability to capture and bind souls, becoming aware of their every thought, every secret and every life as he reads them like a book over a period of a few days. He has the ability to communicate with the dead in this way and even generate a heaven or hellish existence for their postmortem spirit to exist in. Though his ability to influence the surrounding events of their soul is lost if the subject is willing to tell Silus the story of their life. This power is permission based where applicable. Curse of Tongues: The ability to understand, speak, write, and communicate through any form of language. A.k.a: Omnilinguism. Doppelganger: The ability to discreetly displace himself while leaving behind a doppelganger that functions and exists just as he does. There is no difference between him and his doppelganger, as both are versions of himself. Trickster Shifting: The ability to shift his appearance or shift other objects. He can give himself different visual effects, be it through shifting age, changing gender, faking wounds or anything of the like. He is able to shift himself to become a different person entirely. Void Walk: The ability to teleport via utilizing the "glamour" to slip out of reality and then move through the void and return to reality. Balance of Power: Silus is able to draw upon the primal concepts of balance and is inherently and even unwillingly influenced by the concepts of all things around him. In accordance his own skills are always equal to that of his opposition and makes him virtually unable to be out-classed as far as reflexes, reactions and skill-based tactics are concerned. He exists to be a balancer between the opposing concepts of Archon and Psyche. His overall power including strength and durability are reflective of this power as well. Eternal Essence:The ability to manipulate a unique form of energy that is unique to Silus and can only be manipulated by Silus. The power cannot be copied or mirrored in it's truest essence and it can only be seen with the eyes (optics, PC's bodily means of perception, etc). The power has the basic abilities of other energy projection users save for the fact that other than being able to see it and being able to feel the impact it delivers it cannot have an "immunity" built up to it, it cannot be analyzed with any form of magic or technology and is ultimately not actually able to be categorized as either logical or scientific. This power manifests in either energy manipulation OR A piece of armor and a sword. This power is also the true explanation of Silus "Glamour" ability and his ability to influence things so adversely. Finally, Silus now has an incredibly fast regeneration rate in which is due to the very nature of his existence.

The Weaknesses |
Curse of Tongues: Silus is unable to lie, therefore he must use word-play and misleading phrases and terms, but his is unable to lie. Both because he pretends to be fae and because he simply doesn't like lying. The Canvas of choice: Silus drawing power can only be used if the object is drawn on a dry surface. Painter's Struggles: Drawing a living thing causes it to take on a life of it's own, and the living thing is not always required to do what it was created to do. I.E a painted puppy made real may not attack the mail-man and instead may try to hump your leg instead. Or the monster you drew to attack the bad guy may decide that you're lunch. A touch of innocence: Silus is against killing, and deems it his job to save anyone and everyone. The villain included. That being said he could quite easily have such innocence taken advantage of. Empathic power struggle: Silus enchanting and painting abilities are highly influenced by his own emotions. The list below explains which emotions effect his powers.
Shifting Difficulties: When Silus shifts form, ages or wounds to himself he must suffer through the difficulties of the form he has chosen to take. Examples being that if he takes the form of a teenager he will suffer a heavy influx of hormones and teenaged angst. If he takes the form of an old man he risks having a heart attack. If he takes the form of a woman with open wounds Family/Friends matters: Silus prioritizes family and friends above all else, though he never compromises his heroic integrity. Matthew, Lucius, Yancey, Ryan, Diana, Danny, Zell, Sean, Michael and all other people under his allies or family list could be used against him. Paux-Fae-weakness: Silus pretends to be a fae, therefore he is obligated to pretend to have a weakness to "Cold Iron". If he doesn't pretend to have this weakness or somehow opts out of it he is at risk for someone discovering who or WHAT he truly is, and if you know that it can be used against him. Take 'em down a peg: Silus favors targets that are "holier than thou" individuals who seem to place themselves on a "high-horse" and pretend they are above all others. Silencing a Siren: Unlike most forms of mind control, Silus cannot command people to do specific things. He is only able to preform basic "commands" through his music. Examples being an "angry" song causes violence or rebellion. A soothing song can pacify people, etc. Also, if Silus cannot be heard then he obviously cannot draw out those primal emotions. Lesser minds may "linger" with some influence over them, but greater souls (PC's/NPC's) will be freed instantly. Sweet-Toothed Trickster: Silus loves sweets, his primary guilty pleasure being Peanut-butter silk pie. Rejection: Many of these powers are permission based The Price of Balance: Whenever Silus acts out against a being that is aligned with existence, he becomes incapable of striking a being that is aligned with the void for a small period of time, forcing him to be very specific and deliberate when he does strike out. Unbelonging: Silus has only ever felt like he belongs with one person, and thereby is constantly in a state of distress over his very nature. He is actually quite unhappy about the level of power he possesses. Compassion: Silus has made friends with good guys, bad guys and all things in between. His empathy and compassion often times get him into trouble as he finds the best and most redeeming things in people that others don't see. In this way Silus is easy to get along with, but it places him in precarious situations when he often times has to oppose those he likes. It will often times lead to him trying to prioritize redemption over his own safety, or the safety of others. Empathy: Due to the nature of his "half-empty", he is really easy to emotionally influence by those around him. If people are angry, he will get angry easier. If people are sad, he will get sad easier. The Scales are Always even: Silus' skills are dependent upon the accumulative whole of his opposition. That being said if he is in opposition to several skilled masters of the arts, he will go through them like they are cannon fodder. The OPPOSITE of that, however is that if he is facing someone who is horribly unskilled he will be forced to cope with only having peak human skills and reflexes. He is subsequently harder to defeat in masses, though is easier to target in a one-on-one environment. The Weight of Decision: (Eternal Essence) Silus cannot use this power in multiple different methods. He needs to select the medium of how he will use his energy and is unable to deviate form that chosen method.
No more suffering, no more strife: (Eternal Essence) While using this ability, Silus is not able to access his glamour ability The Soul of a Savior: (Eternal Essence) Silus power can not be used in a way other than the defense of himself or in the defense of others. While it can be used in an offensive manner this power is literally unable to kill another individual as it counteracts both the nature of the user and the nature of the power. No matter the choice, the Consequence: (Eternal Essence) No matter if Silus chooses energy manipulation or if he chooses to have the armor and sword, he is stuck with the weaknesses stated above. True-Name Nemesis: Whenever a being recognizes his true-name it grants them the ability to negate any power of their choosing. |
RP Mechanics |
Neverland, the painted world: Silus was able to use his powers once to actually create a painted reality that he uses as a safe-haven. Because of the Fae's given "name" to him being Peter Pan he created his painted world to reflect that of the mythical island of Neverland where the only rule is that no one ever dies. He actually has about 70 people in there right about now. Not that that means anything at all. Foresight: (Permission based) The ability to see the future through what he paints, though often times does not know how or what to interpret from them. (Non)Existential Expert: Silus has knowledge from other realms, other areas of this universe and other universes. Though he is not linked to his other selves like his father, but he is rather well versed in man things. (Occult/intellect) (Summoning doppelgangers) Natural of the arts: Silus is naturally talented at everything and anything that falls under the category of art. Be it music, poetry, writing, fashion, styling or painting/sketching/etc. Familial sense: Silus is so used to traversing other realms and moving about that he's actually developed quite a talent of being able to pick out and sense who his "siblings" and family are. Physical Priority 1 : Reaction : 1 2 : Agility : 2 3 : Endurance : 3 4 : Strength : 4 |
