1950's Occult Adventure: The Red Son's Head
Just got my character Lissandra approved, and now there's all this 1950s shenanigans? Well guess what? That character came from the past. Coincidence... Or supernatural phenomenon?
Lissandra's origins are with an occult group called the Red Son's Head who flourished in the 1870s. When good ol' Lisa was moved to the present, she couldn't find any trace of the group. Perhaps... Hear me out on this... But perhaps that might be because of something that occurred in the 1950s. Maybe Lissandra and some other(s) totally wreck their shiz. So the getup would be this:
Lissandra pops into 1950s Britain, is confused, gets her bearings.
Her Sixth Sense directs her to her home.
The Red Son's Head is alive and in fact is up to no good.
They're rituals are unsuccessful, but they involve human sacrifice.
STOP'EM
Now uh, would this make an adequate something? Would this be a Quest? God dammit I'm still new, someone hold my freaking hand here.

Re: 1950's Occult Adventure: The Red Son's Head
An occult directions runs with future plans that I have for my zombiesaur Amber. As she progresses, I'll be taking inspiration of the lich archetype. She's not naturally the hero type, but ending up in the past with someone willing to take initiative and guide her she is capable of heroic actions and assisting in stopping said cult. The nature of her powers have to do with necrotic energy infusing her system. As such, that may be appropriate for Lissandra to sense her as something unusual through her sixth sense. Might you be able/desire to work with any of that?

That'd be quite cool, actually. I'll start a normal RP thread and link it, can't be bothered with going through the quest system with about three days left.

Sounds good to me. If you want to start something in and link it that'd be great.

Also, I'd assume that Lissandra wouldn't be able to see/interact with you in exactly the same way that she does with spirits, but would most certainly be able to detect her almost dead soul. This seem plausible? Also, is there another entity inside of Amber that Lisa should be able to detect?

Re: 1950's Occult Adventure: The Red Son's Head
Yup that's about right. Amber would almost feel like the spirits themselves but not quite. No, there is no secondary entity inside Amber. However, there might be echoes of her other forms, especially her deinonychus form. None of them would be strong enough to properly be considered other entities.
As a modified metahuman, had she been left alone the undead traits would have developed on their own. The experiments from the scientists resulted in the dinosaur shifting which interacted with her existing genes to result in undead dinosaur shifting.

Re: 1950's Occult Adventure: The Red Son's Head
Question. Given Lissendra's own connection to spirits of the dead, would she be seen as having an unusual amount of kind of death energy around her that Amber might detect with her necrotic vision?

Re: 1950's Occult Adventure: The Red Son's Head
I think she could definitely detect something strange. Lissandra can be seen as a conduit between life and death, so there'd be something to see there. I guess it depends if Amber's death sight is restricted to the physical form of decay, and even if it is observing Lissandra's body should still deliver some strange results.
I'm going to say yes. idfk Anything else though.

Re: 1950's Occult Adventure: The Red Son's Head
Essentially what she sees is the non-physical energy of death and decay that permeates all living or previously living things. Its the energy itself that she perceives but it can only be perceived when actually attached to a physical form. Either way, I think I can work with what I've got.
