The Looks

A tall, fit woman with a smaller frame. She bears light brown hair and dark hazel-green eyes. Despite her size, she's incredibly toned and powerful. Due to her intense constant training, her entire body is lean muscle. Some say she's got the strength of five men, but they're probably just exaggerating; cause that's ridiculous right? Kassandra typically keeps her hair in a ponytail so that it is out of her way. She takes herself too seriously, but luckily for her she is a naturally gorgeous woman. Both her parents were good looking people, good genes I suppose. Kassandra is somewhat tall, standing at 5'8". Her face is seemingly soft and gentle, but her expressions tend to say otherwise. Having a very hard outlook on life, it wears on her and shows in her eyes and face. Even her body has suffered, due to her harsh career her body is covered by mostly minor scars. Thankfully nothing major has happened to her yet, but she does have a noticeable scar on the lower left side of her stomach. A small slash wound, where a lucky criminal cut her deep early on in her career as an officer.

In uniform, she is always extremely professional and hard working. She wears very little makeup for the most part and maintains beauty without much effort. At work she mostly keeps her hair in a sophisticated ponytail unlike the rush she normally presents herself as in her civilian life.

The Legacy

Personality: Fearless, devoted, reserved, trustworthy, hard working, and sarcastic are just a few words most would use to describe her. However, there’s much more to her than just that. She may seem obsessed with her work and training, but it is her way of coping and it's all she really knows. She's convinced herself she can take care of herself through anything. For the most part, she's smart and knows her limitations; totally not against strategically fleeing. Better off getting away than winding up dead, there will always be another battle. For whatever reason, Kassandra is constantly underestimated, but she’s not afraid to use that to her advantage. It takes a lot to strike fear into this woman, she isn't scared to go toe to toe with the biggest and strongest of fighters. But like I said, she's usually smart enough to know when to run.

Kassandra normally isn't much of a flirt. Her romance life is pretty much dead, and it shows in her ability to talk to someone romantically. Though she's good with people, she doesn't have very many friends or anyone she's close to. She loves it when someone can make her laugh. But she can't stand some one who she can't take seriously.

As a Police Officer she is very patient and cooperative, being a very loved cop locally. She may be a hard ass at work, but even her fellow officers know she isn't always like that. As a person, she tries to be understanding and has a genuine kindness about her. These traits shine through even more brightly when she wears the uniform.

As a sharpshooter, Kassandra is able to cut loose and bring forth a side of her she never knew she could unleash. Everything about her is brought to an extreme, and in a way she opens up significantly. However, she becomes far more cut throat and ruthless. Protecting people still comes first in most cases, but if she can put a bullet through that scumbags head she will go the extra mile to do it. Kassandra has never been one to fold under pressure, being a sharpshooter just makes the pressure into an adrenaline rush. Though her job is hardly a game to her, she truly enjoys it.

History: Born and raised into a very strict military family, Kassandra from very young was raised to be an independent hard ass. As a young growing girl, she was a tomboy to the extreme unlike her sister who was pretty much her polar opposite. Kassandra took to her dad, Cynthia who was two years younger took to her mom. Despite being such a tomboy, she was still taught to be a respectable lady right along side her sister, mostly by their mother. She was raised in a bit of a dysfunctional family, if you did not succeed the way they wanted you to, you were not exactly accepted. Failure wasn't an option, they were constantly pushed. Things only grew worse when their mother died from a terminal cancer she was unable to fight off. Kassandra was only thirteen when she passed, it crushed her sister, but drove her to obsession. It didn't feel very warm and welcoming at home very much after that. She spent her whole young life trying to win her father’s approval, but eventually gave up as a young adult and sought to make herself happy. Kassandra wasn't the best at making friends, and she was even worse at romance. For the most part, she viewed it as a waste of time. She was very close to her sister while growing up, but they grew apart as the years went on. They were vastly different and had their own lives, but they loved each other dearly.

At eighteen, their father insisted Kassandra enlisted and put her skills to real use, but she refused claiming that she wanted nothing to do with the military or the life her father had. Her father had a background in the Special Forces, a military group that focused on dealing with super humans exclusively. He saw in her the potential to be apart of this group, to greatly impact the world in his eyes. Instead she chose her own path. She went to school, and a few years later enlisted in the New York City Police Department, hoping she could do some good with her abilities. To serve and protect, her father thought it was a joke and wasn't exactly supportive.

From a young age, she was trained not only to defend herself in close quarters combat, but taught to disable or even kill with great efficiency. She was also shown to wield firearms with deadly precision, but her father made sure to teach her how to respect all these skills. It's difficult for her to remember a time where she was not training. However, she did still manage to have a good childhood mostly because she just loved her family so much. Her family meant the world to her, even if there was little left.

At a young age, she was always very protective of others, especially the people she cared about to the point of violence. Kassandra managed to get herself into countless fights over the years, quite a few for the sake of Cynthia. It was always within her to protect.

At twenty one years old she successfully enlisted in the New York City Police Department where she served for six years until the city was destroyed. Kassandra was there at ground zero when all hell broke loose. Under her leadership, her and the local officers evacuated and saved countless lives. However their efforts seemed futile, so many more were lost along with nearly the entire city. To top it all off, Kassandra lost her little sister to the destruction. This struck both her and her father with extreme grief and instead of bringing the two together it caused them to drift even further apart.

Losing her sister was a burden she had to live with every day. Blaming herself, she became far more cold and reserved. The tragic event changed her rather dramatically, it had seemingly sucked the life out of her. Social life was cut out entirely, nothing but work, training and a drink to help cope. On the bright side, she was immediately promoted to Lieutenant for her efforts in the assault on New York. Kassandra did what she could to contribute with the police force, but ultimately felt it wasn't enough. After what happened things would never be the same, crime and super humans were getting more out of control than ever. There was only so much that she could do to rebuild a dying city.

Despite the tragedies in her life, she still excelled in her career. With her new rank, she found her place on the SWAT team, which in this city was constantly deployed to deal with superhuman threats. She operates as a sharpshooter, operating in a team of five that cover the larger ground force. The team operates with two spotters, two shooters, and one leader. She is one of the shooters, normally the one to make the kill shot or open fire. She's been at this for nearly two years, though others have lost their lives around her she's luckily still around.

The Powers and Weaknesses

Powers

Power 1: Weapons Expert - Kassandra is an expert of the highest standards with firearms, rifles, and even explosives. If it shoots or explodes, you name it, she can wield it or at least figure it out. She has a gift for that kind of thing. Her aim is impeccable. Oh yeah, she's also pretty good at patching herself or others up. Though she's no expert at it, she's about as good as any other combat medic. Yep, that's about it.

Power 2: Combat Training - Kassandra's training goes back to her early teens, where her father first truly started heavily training her. Unlike most boys and girls her age, she was extremely driven and focused. Likely due to the events in her life and her highly disciplined father. Kassandra was taught first hand from her father, Special Forces hand-to-hand combat. She could break a full grown man's arm with ease at 15. As she grew older, she went on to study other fighting styles on her own. Her fighting style is very well balanced and extremely flexible, filled heavily with grapples while remaining swift and agile. She’s known to be both calculated and aggressive as a fighter. During her civilian time, she is constantly training her skills. Kassandra doesn't give much time for herself, devoting herself and her body to her work.

Power 3: Acrobatics - Having studied gymnastics since she was a child, flexibility and mobility are second nature to her. Even in her heavy equipment she is able to climb and leap great distances, capable of clearing most alley gaps. She's also quite fast, very few normal people can outrun her.

Weakness 1: Human - Kassandra is a normal human, this limits her greatly in a world filled with powerful super humans. Though she is quite gifted for a human, having incredible skills, great eye sight, and a strong fit body. Still, her bones break just as easily as the next guy. Which sucks.

Standard Issue 9mm Firearm - Kassandra always carries two on her, one on each side of her utility belt. They're equipped with a silencer piece she can attach and detach as she pleases.

M21 - Her standard rifle that comes with her wherever she goes.

XM109 - Used against supers exclusively, she only brings this weapon into the field if the situation calls for it.

Utility Belt - She has several gadgets and explosives in her belt, such as flash bangs, grenades and smoke grenades. She also carries pepper spray, a taser, a flashlight, and a steel reinforced collapsible baton. At all times, she has basic medical equipment such as bandages and sutures.

Armor - Most of her body is covered in a dark colored bullet resistant armor, though heavy it manages to maintain flexibility and mobility for the wearer. It's toughest parts are in the chest and helmet. The armor is form fitting and designed to withstand heavy damage. The only major weakness is in the limbs and visor, as they are least armored parts of the body.
