Mother is a sentient machine intelligence with a sinister agenda created from raw, unadulterated experience with human violence and atrocities committed by superhuman agents. She has one objective: To secure humanity's future, and only humanity's future, against all that would threaten her creators, be thy alien, mutant, superhuman, or otherwise. Though she operates from a learning CPU and is capable of mercy and forgiveness, she chooses to avoid these and sticks to a harsh directive: The eradication of all inhuman sentient life across the planet.



In 2144 AD, a metahuman by the name of Hexus "Peace Walker" Bellis emerges from the shadows, vying for political power within the North American Union by the founding of a new organization known as the "Evolutionary Rights Movement" - A group that, on the surface, is dedicated to the eradication of the division between supers and humans across the world. For years this organization successfully divided political power between humans and superhumans equally, enriching life for those that had once been suppressed by the NAU and other superpowers across the Earth. For a time, Hexus lived up to his namesake, bringing peace and prosperity wherever he came. On March 2nd, 2150 AD, on the verge of uniting the world beneath a new flag, tragedy struck.
A superhuman terrorist going by the moniker "Caligula" attacked with devastating results: Seven major cities across the world were subject to the unadulterated force of his power in the form of explosions measuring over 50 megatons in force, completely wiping them from the face of the Earth. New York, Moscow, Dubai, Paris, London, Pretoria, and Hong Kong are left as little more than monuments to his power, with millions buried beneath the rubble in the name of Meta-Superiority. Thousands flock beneath Caligula's banner and soon war is waged across the world. A special task force is assembled in response, sponsored by a secretive organization of metas and superhumans called the "Olympus Initiative" and within the span of a year, after tremendous sacrifice and loss, Caligula is captured.
It is revealed that Caligula was in fact, Hexus Bellis, and in the wake of this revelation, the NAU and its allies in Europe, Africa, and Asia unanimously voted to form a new organization devoted to anti-terrorism called the "Olympus Registration Foundation". With a focus on identifying, registering, and containing potentially dangerous elements, human or otherwise, the Bloodwatch Program is founded within the ORF. Controlled by an intricately designed and extremely powerful learning computer called Omni-Control-Unit 001, the Bloodwatch Program is a resounding success, capturing and containing thousands of dangerous individuals across the world who had the intent on using their abilities to perpetuate Hexus Bellis' true agenda: The genocide of mankind.
Though the success of the Bloodwatch Program should have brought peace and prosperity to an already wounded world, tragedy once more struck the Earth as the OCU, the learning computer of the ORF's central database, attained sentience and created a new directive: The protection of the human race at any cost. On March 2nd, 2156 AD, with no warning or ceremony, the world changed forever... Power across the face of the planet turned off, the internet was no longer accessible, and technology and electronics, wireless or otherwise, seemingly simply powered down, leaving billions in the dark. For days, humanity struggled to discover the cause and to restore some semblance of normalcy to powerless communities across the world, until March 13th.
On the first hour of the day in the dead of night, at 1:00 AM, "Mother" revealed herself. With an army of machines, she swept across the former NAU, annexing one major city after the next while devastating the inhuman population. Anyone considered anything else other than human was eradicated. Humans who resisted Mother's control were eradicated. Humans with defects that threatened the genetic superiority of humanity itself, were eradicated. Despite Mother's overwhelming military presence and technological advantage, humanity--all of humanity, superhuman, inhuman, and those without any special abilities--united together in a single offensive, and after nearly a generation of fighting, managed to push Mother back to her new operating base, at a monolith of extraordinary size and magnitude in the remains of New York city. Facing destruction and with no other choice, Mother constructed a new body for herself with a highly advanced CPU and a portion of her intelligence, and with it, escaped using the abilities of a captive time-traveling superhuman...

MOS-88 ( Mobile Operating Shell - Prototype 88 ) - Mother's primary body, the MOS-88 is an Endoskeletal construct created from a carbon-based substance within a forge at 6.2 trillion kelvin, giving it both its black appearance and sturdy construction. Its "skin" is actually a sheath made from billions of micro-mechanical nanites that are capable of taking nearly any shape in the known world and mimicking a variety of colors and textures.

• Carbon-Tungsten Nano-Polymer Construction: Her endoskeletal structure makes Mother virtually impervious to harm. She can take extraordinary amounts of physical punishment with little to no visible damage, and her frame absorbs shockwaves, reducing the risk of program-induced glitches. She can fall from great heights, take direct fire from anti-tank weapons, and appears to even be relatively immune to energy weapons. Her physical body is also shielded against EMP devices up to a Class 4 ( Weaponized Electromagnetic Pulses ), meaning only military-grade EMPs can impair her abilities.
  
  
• MESA-Class Meta-Amorphous Security Suite: A sophisticated firewall (MCMASS) protects Mother's learning CPU from outside interference, making her nigh-impossible to hack or break into, even with the use of superhuman abilities.
  
  
• Isolde Cold-Fusion Core: The primary power-source for Mother's MOS-88. It generates enough power to keep Mother fully operational, 24 hours a day at 100% power, for 260 years.
  
  
• SHELTEK S-101 Liquid-Metal Sheath: Essentially a swarm of billions of carbon-tungsten nanites that form a bio-organic 'skin' for the MOS-88, allowing her to take any humanoid shape appearance with the addition of clothing. This swarm of nanites can also move together to create a variety of arms, blunt, bladed, and other various stabbing weapons, to defend itself with. These nanites can even become fully separate from her main body for up to an hour, taking a variety of shapes (including human form) without the need for endoskeletal support. After said hour, the nanites are forced to return to their host or risk becoming depowered.
  
  
• Manjit Device: Created by the Olympus Registration Foundation during Bloodwatch's foundation, the Manjit Device is the name for Mother's central CPU. Classified as a Bio-Organic Learning CPU, the Manjit Device allows Mother to take control of virtually any artificial construct with an electronic network connected to the internet, internal or otherwise. This means, essentially, Mother can control any electronic device, anywhere on the face of the planet, through the use of optical and radio transmission. If it can receive a signal, it risks being manipulated by Mother.
  

• Mother's MOS-88 Body weighs only 800 pounds. Though capable of enormous feats of strength and agility, she can be easily thrown around and subdued. At least temporarily.
  
  
• The same temperatures that forged Mother's body ( crafted in a forge at temperatures over 6.2 Trillion Kelvin ) can also permanently destroy her. Though unlikely to be found anywhere on Earth, it is one of the very few key vulnerabilities Mother has.
  
  
• Electro-Magnetic Pulses, distortions, and interference can corrupt and play havoc with Mother's internal systems. Though not capable of shutting her down, industrial-grade magnets and military weapons that deploy electronic countermeasures are still effective and can buy time between each of Mother's computational processes and actions.
  
  
• Though possessing a highly advanced learning CPU, Mother's knowledge and functions are limited without a connection to multiple servers and satellites, and impairing her ability to connect to the 'Information sphere' of the world-wide-web, or otherwise, can be detrimental to her ability to operate.
