Clubs and Diamonds (Carny)

A thriving nightlife always gave room to wiggle through what should be done and what could be done. Those two things would help Bliss. And hinder.

A new club stretched across the river front, heralded as the most grand gem along the Mediterranean by the heiress Conejita. Conejita sat atop a grand spire coming out of the night club she built stretching from the bottom of the river to five stories in the sky, stretching as a nautilus into the sky. Atop her spire, Conejita spun a scepter of electricity. In a fastened silk bustier with pink fish net stockings running up a black skirt, Conejita adjusted the black domino mask across her face. For this night, she went out of her way for security, hiring a man only known as Ghost for a price only Ghost knew. Unsettling rumors surfaced of a team of infiltrators coming to take her one, prized possession. A possession she refused to name.

"Four women." She poked her scepter into the head of a young Japanese girl name Mitsuko, her hands tied with pink tape. A few hours ago Mitsuko tried working up a wired device for her half sister Bliss. It failed, and now Conejito had Mitsuko and the wired device, feeding Bliss false information. "Right?" The young woman nodded yes. "Four women will try stealing from me, and none of them will." A jolt of electricity shot out in front of Mitsuko's face. "Make sure they don't steal from me. Anything from me. Whatever you need for this job, go ahead and ask. It will be yours."

After listening to the false information fed to her, Bliss rethought her plan. Mitsuko never showed up after a few hours; something went wrong. Time to change the plan for a third time. Bliss wore a blue dress lifting just above her knee with a pair of ankle high boots. On the suggestion of another superhero, she put a pair of blue streaks in her hair. "Ashley. You're in charge of communication and information."

"I stay in the van?" A black skirt and a red sleeveless turtle neck set Ashley up for the nightlife.

"I can stay in the van." Abby raised her hand to volunteer for the job. Bliss volunteered Abby to take the job as a server girl since it would put her close enough for her invisibility to get her by any guards. With a pink halter top and a black skirt, Abby could fit in with the other servers- and Bliss planned on keeping it that way.

"You can do what I tell you. Sara, you're finding a way to get us out." A laser pointer flashed in Abby's eyes.

"Eh, easy enough." A relaxed pair of arms cross over the sleek black dress Sara put on for this rather flashy infiltration. "You look for Mitsuko too?"

"Yeah. I'll grab the scepter. Abby finds Mitsuko and tells me where she is, and then Sara gets us all out. I can do all the heavy lifting and Ashley keeps us talking. Sound good?" Everyone nodded in some agreement, even if it took Abby a little while to get to shaking her head. "Good."

Outside in a limo outfitted with listening equipment, Ashley kept herself as the eyes and ears of the group. Abby, Bliss, and Sara all made their way into the club, Bliss and Sara through the front, and Abby through the back. Abby made her way to the back of the club after commandeering a tray. Once in position, she started to look around for the most direct route to send Bliss to the fifth floor.

Sara and Bliss walked to the edge of the dance floor. The music pushed Sara closer to Bliss so she could ask her a simple line of questioning. "You sure this will work? You're pretty sure they have Mitsuko. They will know we are coming."

"It's fine. It's not like they know who we are." A shrug knocked Bliss and Sara apart, Sara over to a VIP area where she could better hear Ashley in her ear and Bliss over towards the second floor, where she could look down upon the floor and figure out how she would depart the club once she grabbed what she needed.

Ghost was up in the second floor in his suit. He was hanging in the corner and acting like a security camera which works nicely if the only thing visible was his two glowing eyes. He looked around until he saw her, the girl who read his file, Bliss. He slowly moved his hand towards his ear piece and said quitely.

"Watch. Out. For. Asian. Looking. Girl. In. Blue. Dress. Ghost. Out." He then shadowed danced over to the part where the lights are (you know where the lights hand, that metal part) and looked over the floor and saw multiple people and kept flicking his eyes towards Bliss in case she moved.

One of the security guards nodded on the second floor as he began to look for the girl. The guards on the bottom nodded and one went towards the stairs while the other stayed looking up for her.

The lights around the dance floor blazed with intensity. Every step a different story, and every story a different peril. The first few minutes of the operation allowed Sara to keep an eye on Bliss as she moved around the second floor- gaining attention. How she could grab attention this quickly went beyond Sara, but she knew she needed to act. A moving server girl provided Sara with a drink as Sara moved as quickly as possible to cut him off, bumping into him and spilling her drink on his lapel. "Oops." A smile and some small compliments would try and keep the man pinned to the lower floor.

A door on the second floor would open. "Bliss." A girl bled from invisibility back into reality. Abby held a back door open to let Bliss get into the staff portion of the club. "You know it would be better if you were the waitress, since I can already go invisible. This was a huge oversight on your behalf."

"I'm not waitress material. I'm a little more visionary. It fits you though." The door closed behind Bliss as she looked around the staff area. Industrial dishwashers worked overtime to get clean dishes out to the bartenders in the room painted in regular iridescent lighting. "I need to find the stairs and I'm in business."

"What about a disguise?" A security bolt slid into place to bar the door from opening.

"She doesn't know what I look like. I just need to get to the VIP section."

Ghost looked down quickly as he noticed Sara but more important was the fact bliss was moveing. he followed quickly but quitely as possible until the door was held open for her and then she entered. He put his hand back to his ear piece "Guards. To. Staff. Room. Capture. The. Girl. In. The. Blue. Dress." he said and then started to make his way quickly to the VIP Area.

Hmmm she has a team and whats this? A Staff member helping her, Lets just get our staff up here and make our way to my imployer, I'm sure she will be happy with the news. he thought with grimness
Two security staff members began to go down the stares to the staff room. The one down stairs began to talk with sara, mostly angry that she spilled his drink on him.

The sound of canes broke out. Red skirts with clubs and spades with black belts between black sleeveless shirts with red hearts and diamonds came into action. Three women made their way at Ghost's command towards the staff floor. The rudeness of their arrival gave Abby enough time to get into position out of sight and scurry to find a stairwell for Bliss. She waited for the two of them to make their way for Bliss before making her way to the third floor.

Once the three security women entered the staff room, Bliss stopped in her tracks to take care of the situation at hand. One cane swung downward to bat Bliss, missing with enough closeness to send a brush of air over Bliss' hair. Both of Bliss's hands went under the woman's shoulders, letting Bliss take control of the red cane Bliss used to duel the final woman. Once an opening came, Bliss fired a blast of energy into her gut, knocking her over. A jagged heel stabbed into Bliss' foot. The follow up swing fell right into Bliss' grip, putting the two women at arms length of each other. With a surge of energy, Bliss shot a telekinetic blast into the third woman, knocking her into the other two. Easy enough she thought.

Abby came out of invisibility and waved for Bliss. A cross brow dropped on Bliss. "Did you just stand there and watch?"

"You had it covered. I didn't want to get thrown into a wall." Abby moved without another word and Bliss followed into the stairwell.

Sara continued to pat down the man's lapel while apologizing. Even though her plan did not charm the man, it did distract him. For now, it would be good enough. The sound of some fight sounded out in Sara's ear piece. Bidding farewell with a smile, Sara moved towards a side room where she could communicate without interference. "What's going on?"

"Bliss dealt with security guards. They're going to the third floor." Ashley continued to monitor the communication feed between the infiltrators as they continued on their path.

Green and pink lights lit up the secondary dance floor as Sara walked by to get towards the back area. She would make her own way into the staff area and come up with a plan to get someone's attention. "How did they know who she was?"

"No clue. Might be bad luck."

"So you found them did you?" Conejita lounged back on her dais above a few bottles of chilled wine. "What's your plan now? I do hope it is a good one. I love good plans. I do plan on going boating later; maybe I'll make it a girls night."

"Yes. Ghost. Found. Them. Ghost. Plans. Of. Using. VIP. Room. As. Bait. Is. Conejita. Fine. With. This?" He asked as he watched her carefully while standing at full length.

His plan consisted of trapping them in the VIP area and then ambushing them. In the mean time while there distracted Conejita will be on her way to boating while ghost finishes them off with the rest of the staff in there stealthy ambush.

"I guess you can use my stuff." Conejita Lamented slightly. "I don't want too much noise though. There might be a good song, so keep it quiet when you ambush them." And the ambush was set.

No one detected Abby as she made her scouting effort in front of Bliss. No one even filled any of the rooms she moved through. Something odd stuck in the air, but with such a massive club, maybe the staff just fielded other parts of the service. "Do you need a disguise?"

Bliss caught up with Abby at the foot of the stairwell leading to the VIP room. "No, I took care of those guards and it didn't look like there were cameras in there. Ashley, did you pick up any feeds showing me?"

A number of feeds showed up on the screens in front of Ashley, but none of them showed the back staff area. "No. You should be good. I'm figuring they just attacked you since you were in private area."

"What a nice way to say hello. Okay, you first then me." A deep breath filled Bliss with confidence as she nodded to Abby.

"Right." Abby would lead first, taking the stairs and coming up with a tray. She made her way over to the bar and began putting drinks down. "We're good." She tapped her ear piece.

Bliss made her way up the stairs. "Sara. We're going to the VIP area. Can you get us an escape route?"

Water filled the floor below Sara. A kitchen island currently hosted her above the distraction she created. "Yeah, I'll find a way up there and can get you guys out." Moving from counter to counter, Sara finally got to the stairs to the second floor where she could step down without getting her feet wet.

Ghost watched carefully and waited patiently for his prey. He said quitely into his ear piece "Ignore. Distractions.Until.Ambush.Is.Done.Remember.Silently." he put his hand back down slowly as he sat in his ambush spot.

The others were around the doors and waiting outside the views of cameras and such. All waiting for ghosts signal.

Each step gave a great deal of comfort to her aching feet. If not for the need to bring down this relic thief, Bliss would make a note to find out what kind of material she used for these stairs. "I'm going in." Her finger left the ear piece, giving Abby a heads up and letting Sara know she needed to find a way to get them safely out of the mess Bliss would soon create.

Sliding in through the side door would keep her safe under any other circumstances, but the heads up from Ghost kept Conejita's eyes glued to Bliss. A little smirk would form as she called out to Bliss. "I love your dress. It's so refreshing to see someone who doesn't care about things like complexion or getting a good fit." She remained as relaxed as possible on her sofa, throwing her legs across the arm.

A quick exit needed to happen. She barely made it in more than ten feet and Conejita held the scepter with so little control it called out to her. So, Bliss acted. A telekinetic pull, and Bliss would grab the scepter for herself. "I need an exit!" Bliss turned for the door to see if her path would come clear.

Abby hung to the back of the bar where she would try to go unnoticed while still digging for answers about the disappearance of Mitsuko. "Bliss is cooked. Sara, we need back up."

"Almost there." With Ashley guiding her from the limo, Sara made her way to the point on the third floor just below the VIP section. Now she just needed enough dirt and soil to create a wedge to break through two floors of building. She saw the sink in the corner. It would not be the greatest smelling dirt in the world, but it would need to do.

Ghost would drop behind her and grab her around the arms as a attempt to pin them and her body from moveing. Then begins his energy sucking ability while saying "Boo."

While ghost is doing this two men appear in the door way and go to help restrain her with ghost and then another two to block the door way. From around the bar came 4 more with the same tatic. A couple came around some corners. One came up to take the scepter away if she got restrained,and if she was't would attempt to get it back.

The room would suddenly come alive with movment after she got the scepter. Only one noticed Abby by the bar and went towards her.

Her escape plan ran into a snag. It grappled her from behind and the old familiar voice of her newly minted enemy spoke into her ear. Bliss could feel her arms go limp; the scepter would fall to the ground if not for the security prying it from her fingers. The cold running up her arms took the breath from her lungs. It only took a few seconds for Bliss to go limp. "Armor." Her last words before collapsing.

"Sara. Trouble." Ashley could only sit back and watch the monitor show the hitch in the plan.

While Bliss succumbed to the cold, Abby looked on in shock as a hand accosted her shoulder. Never the most skilled combatant, Abby grabbed his wrist to keep him from getting a strong grapple on her. The floor buckled as a barrier of earth welled between them, granting Abby a reprieve.

"Down here!" Sara cupped her hands around her mouth and gave Abby a clear out from the current room. Leaving would leave Bliss behind, as well as the scepter, but Abby needed to make a decision. She developed something of an idea. She disappeared from sight for a moment, feinting her descent down the earth slide, and moved to steal the scepter from the security guard taking it back to Conejita. Another row of earth would pop up. Bliss would stay behind, but Abby would drop down to Sara with the reward. "We'll see if this gamble works."

"If Bliss asks, we tried to help." Abby held the scepter in her hand, knowing the next part of the plan would need to involve these two escaping while Conejita still held two hostages.

Ghost dropped carefully and then turned as the earth popped up in the hole as he shadow danced down there behind Sara. Then when abby dropped he shadowed danced behind her, attempted to put a hand around her mouth while pulling out a mac-10 to shoot at Sara while he phased through a wall to another part of the building.

The guard smirked as he grabbed her, then went flying with a bunch of the others. The guard taking the scepter to his boss stopped and then looked in shock as it dissapeared from his hands.

The room was kinda in a wreck now with broken pipes and earth everywhere. Most the guards were wounded or befuddled by the earth movment except of course...for a small ghost.

"Okay, now give me the scepter." Some joy sat between Sara and Abby as Abby tossed it off to Sara. "Ashley we have a little bit of wiggle room now, but we need to act quickly." Once Sara put the scepter under her arm, she turned back to see Abby under duress. Quickly Sara hid the scepter behind her back and moved back. Just how many hostages one person could barter would remain in question, but with Abby passing out, it looked like it would be at least three.

Sara turned and made her way out of the club. Leaving behind the rest of those who entered with her, Sara would make her way down to the first floor to attempt to escape. If she escaped she could come up with a plan to try and save Bliss and Abby, as well as find what happened to Mitsuko.

Ghost put Abby down gently as he shadowed dance after sara stealthly as possible while putting his mac-10 away. he put his hand to his ear piece and said "Stop. Her."

The guards on the first floor assembled to stop her. Some pulled pistols.

The people on the floor began to scream and run. It became like a human wave as they tried to get out.

"It's too loud!" Conejita yelled from her dais. "My scepter is gone! Now what do I have? Where is Ghost?" Conejita stood for the first time tonight, looking over to where security held Bliss. "I don't want her! There's nothing special about her! I want my scepter."

Security details tried to take Sara in, but the constant wave of earthen barriers put up a shield against them trying to take her in. The second floor turned into the first, and the first opened up to the outside. Searching the street for a second gave Sara the exact location she needed to get to, but it meant displaying herself to those chasing her. A wall of earth blocked the door, shutting the club off and giving Sara the path she wanted. The door to the black limo slammed behind her. "Drive."

"Where's...anyone?" Ashley put her headset down.

"Drive. We need to go while we have leverage. They captured Bliss and Abby." Sara threw the scepter on the back seat while she looked to Ashley. A look of worry started to form around Ashley's mouth, promoting Ashley to interject. "We need to go so we can get them back. We can come up with a plan later." The limo left to find a safer spot.
