My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
Los Angeles, the city of fallen angels, the city where dreams go to die and stars are born; it was also the next place on Mindy's list of places to be. She was wearing a black dress with a blue star in the center that looked more like long shirt then a dress. Or was it white and gold? Well no one actually cared. Her "loyal" companion, Sebu-chan (It's Sebastian, dammit!) had vetoed her demands to wear his butler and in stead chose to wear a white tee-shirt with a blue denim jacket on top of some roomy jeans. He was still carrying the large brown backpack he never seemed to part with on him.
After the fiasco in Akihabara, the duo had managed to pawn off the magic brooches on some magic fanatics for a sizable amount; despite the fact they couldn't think of any real reason that anyone would want a key spell to that specific cavern, but money is money they shrugged. Despite Sebu's objections, they booked a ticket to Los Angeles in search of magic shop of some sort. One that they had no idea even existed, despite Mindy claiming that when she threw the dart on her map, destiny had guided it directly on top of L.A.
"I have no idea where you get the idea that we have the money for a world tour."
"Milady." "Oh my dear Sebu, where are your manners? Butlers must always give an sense of things being a proper."
Sebastian rolled his eyes. "Milady. Must I keep a sense of formalities even when we talk personally?" It wasn't like he wasn't already reading the book "The Easy 6000-Step Process to Becoming a Butler. For Idiots" but the entire premise seemed ridiculous to him. She never got upset when he didn't act the part, but for some reason still urged that he do so.
"Of course not." She said with a smile that would make believe that such a girl couldn't hurt a fly. If only they knew Sebastian thought to himself, if only they knew.
"Anyways liven up Sebu! We are here! The big time, some could even say this is the center of the world! The city where the streets are paved with gold! "The city must have not gotten the memo, it only seemed to be gilded with vomit." Mindy let out a small smile to that, before popping on bubble gum bubble and sliding her head phones on.
Mindy lost her self to the beat, closing her eyes and before she knew it she was dancing. And before Sebastian could stop her, she was spinning and dancing across the intersection they had been waiting to cross. He stood there, too shocked to move. Was she suicidal?!
Cars honked as they zoomed by and their drivers began to swear, but Mindy heard none of it, nor would she have cared if she had. In those moments all she felt was bliss
She spun and danced passed cars, missing them by mere inches and before they knew it, she was across. She continued on her way, all the while her butler stood with his palm on his face. The intersection was a mess, no crashes, but a lot of angry drivers. Sebastian sighed, before taking a couple of steps back before sprinting and vaulting over the intersection in chase of his ward.
Mindy continued dancing, mostly unaware of her surroundings before feeling something slam into her chest, but it didn't fall over. It wasn't big enough to knock her breath out and thankfully it had hit in the space between her breasts so it was more of a thud then excrutiating pain. Mindy raised her eyebrow as she looked around before noticing the girl who stood infront of her. Her eyes widened a bit as she said ""Why, hello there!" The music still pumped from her speakers as the gears of fate began to move.

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
"Your maintenance is complete. Have a nice day."
Q7 opens her eyes at the voice, waiting to get lowered to the ground. Blinking a few times, she remembers what she learned and looks up at where the voice comes from. "Thank you." Still not completely sure why she should say thank you whenever someone does, but rules are rules and one must follow them. After being placed on the ground, Q7 takes a few careful steps, making sure all of her systems are working correctly before turning and heading out of the room.
She stops in the next room, raising her arms and looking around, making sure her skin was no longer damage before sliding her hand down one of the walls and staring at a screen that appears. After playing with the screen for a bit and not actually picking anything, she raises her gaze slightly. "Suggestions please." The moment she asked, the screen flashed, rapidly going through possible selections before settling on one. Seeing no reason to go with anything else, she takes a few steps back as the clothes appear on her, almost like magic.
Looking down at the blue jeans and shirt, which had lettering on it. Q7 didn't know what WWDD meant, but it must be something that people wore, or it wouldn't have been part of the selection. Making a mental note to look it up, she looks into the mirror again and sees that her hair was now in a ponytail. Not exactly sure when that happened, since that wasn't part of the possible selections, but it didn't even cause her to blink. The system here had a mind of it's own after all.
She pauses at the exit to the room, running a quick process to figure out what she should do today. Deciding against visiting Cale again, she heads towards the exit of the lab, only pausing to grab her brand new music player and headset. A world without music is not a very interesting one to Q7 after all, she has to have her tunes. She just shoves it into her pocket for now, walking through the multiple rooms and up the stairs, pressing the button to open the secret door after checking to make sure no one was in the alley. Offhandedly pressing the brick in the wall to close the door, Q7 fishes her player out of her pocket, putting the ear buds on and just hitting random.
Q7 matches her footsteps to the beat, walking quickly along, only paying attention to whatever happened to be right in front of her. She quickly crossing a block and a half without any trouble, correctly stopping when needed, not stepping into the middle of traffic like she did last time, having learned her lesson. After all, next time could cause real damage, now that she knows how fast some of those cars can go.
Though she did seem to move with a clear motive, that didn't mean that Q7 wasn't being distracted when something fresh and new came along. it was during one of those moments that she wasn't paying attention that someone ran into her, knocking one of her ear buds out. She only jerked sideways slightly, her auto correction shifting her center of balance before whatever it was could push her over. Turning to look, wondering why the sidewalk was suddenly not fit was standing, Q7 looked directly at the chest of a female. She raises her gaze to look at the person's face.
She tilts her head slightly to the side. "Hello."

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
What stood before Mindy was a girl about half a foot shorter then her but that's not what had caught her off guard. Magic shimmered around her in a way unlike it did from a magic user. Magic user exuded magic from every pore and shifted the air around them ever so slightly, but in this girl it formed a canopy around her body. The magic was systemic, cold and calculated, but yearned for color. Her magic had heart, and no matter who this girl was, Mindy knew they were family. Not one of blood, but one of kindred spirits.
This was around the time that she noticed the song that was playing from the girl's ear bud, it was the same as the song she was listening to. With a big grin, Mindy unplugged her head phones from their jack and let the music play from the speakers and grabbed the girls hands and began to waltz with the girl. "My name is Mindy Ashford." She continued the dance a few more steps till she dipped the girl. "What is yours?"
After misleading two police officers on horses and wading through way too many spectators Sebastian had just arrived to the small plaza the two girls were. He was furious but he wasn't the kind of celestial asshole that we would let his anger show now that other people were in earshot. It was unbecoming of a butler, of course. He opened the mind link between the two of them asked urgently Whatever happened to finding that shop?
All in good time, Sebastian. But first, do you have any rough idea on how difficult it would be to abduct someone?
Mindy.... We aren't going to randomly abduct someone
BUT BUT BUUUUUUUUT! She's adora-bubble!
Sebastian sighed We're going to have a long talk about boundaries later.

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
Q7 stares at the girl in front of her for a moment, wondering why she was bumped into. She does notice what seems to be a weird haze floating around person who bumped into her, but didn't may it any mind, figuring it to be a visual error. Q7 logs it so that she can have her eyes checked out when she gets back to the lab. Since the girl who bumped into her was just standing there staring back, Q7 decided it was time to move on with her trip into the city. She gives a slight bow. "Excu-" She wasn't even able to finish her sentence before she was swept up into the girl's dance.
Q7 kept trying to regain her balance, not that it was even possible with how she was being swung around by the other girl. With music washing over the area around them, the other girl finally gave her name, then dipped Q7 down. She was holding onto Mindy's shoulder the whole time, trying to steady herself. It wasn't until Mindy stopped spinning her around that Q7 finally managed to regain her balance. Blinking her eyes in confusion, she looks up at Mindy, once again tilting her head to the side slightly. "You may call me Q7."
She pushes from Mindy and straightens her clothes, making them neat again, before doing another small bow, planning on finishing what she had started. "Excuse me." Now that Q7 got that out of the way, she places the ear bud back into her ear, then quickly takes a single step to the side before starting to move forward again, regaining the beat that was in her step. She was fully intent on exploring the city like she had planned, but what Q7 didn't know was how clingy Mindy was, which meant that all of her plans were better off not even existing.

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
"Excuse me." and with that short response, the little girl named Q7 began walking off. A half frown crept on onto one side of Mindy's face which eventually changed into a pouty face, and finally into a grimace. "See what you did!? You scared her off!"
"I did what now? Pretty sure she didn't even know I was here."
"It was probably your bad mojo."
"You sure she didn't just get scared of your up front attitude?"
Mindy scoffed. "My personality is flawless. See?" She said as she ran up to the scurrying off girl and threw her arm around her shoulders.
"So Q7, doll. Why don't you spend the day with me and my butler? We'll see the city and have a good time." Mindy said before coming closer to the girls ear and whispering softly "And if you spend the day with me, I'll show you a little of my magic." She said with a wink. Even before really listening to her response, Mindy dropped her arm and tried to grabbed Q7's hand and run off in the direction they had been facing with a laugh and a big smile.
Sebastian swore into mind link,"We can't grab a girl off the streets, Mindy! Thats against the law... Actually never mind. But she probably has things she needs to do, we have things we need to do. Also why aren't we talking about the fact that her name is an Id rather a regular name?
"You worry to much, and you have to be more accepting of other peoples cultures. Plus, I think her name is cute!
"Not sure their is a culture that gives their children ID numbers. Other then mad scientist. "
"I never pegged you as a racist, Sebu."
"Call me Sebastian! and that isn't even an race!"
"Wow Sebu, How could you deny another's way of life."
Sebastian groaned, today was going to be a long day.

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
Q7's groove was thrown off yet again, this time by Mindy catching up to her and wrapping an arm around her shoulders. Since it was so suddenly, Q7 didn't react instantly, but does flatter to a stop. Clicking pause on her device, she turns to look at Mindy, only catching the latter part of what she said, the former being drowned out by Q7's music. "What do you me-" For the second time, Q7 wasn't able to finish her sentence, her hand being grabbed moments after Mindy had spoken the words, causing her to be pulled along.
Almost stumbling the first few steps, Q7 allows herself to be pulled along, not breaking free because they were going the same way she planned to go anyway. Of course, the suddenness of the situation also caused her to not know how to respond, this being the first time anyone actually tried to just drag her around. Once her confusion finally cleared up, she closed her hand around Mindy's, pulling back on it so that they slowed down some, instead of continuing the run to seemingly nowhere.
Having slowed them down to a walk, Q7 takes a moment to regain her bearings, looking back towards the butler rushing after them, then over to Mindy. "Where are we going? What did you mean by magic?" Having to repeat herself so much doesn't bother Q7 at all, only the lack of information. Of course, to Q7, the second question was far more important than the first. She knows that her creation relies heavily on magic, but she only had what the doctor installed into her before he passed away, not having found any of his research that he had hidden away in the lab.

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
Despite being reduced to a walk, that didn't slow Mindy down...Figuratively speaking of course. Still pulling the girl along, she turned her head around and gave a wink to her new co-patriot. After her eyelid had risen from it's one-eyed blink, black magic spireled around one eye and light magic spireled from the other. It only lasted a moment but it was enough to change the shape of mana outflow around her, one into half a picture of a large crow and the other into half the picture of an angel. "Stick around if you want to find out." and with that Mindy started pulling harder and trying to run.
Sebastian was more confused at their interaction then he was willing to admit. He kinda hoped that the other girl would have screamed and ran off, but she seemed to have taken the magic bait pretty well. It was confusing since Mindy never openly admitted she has magic when she wasn't in costume, and this Q7 girl, seemed to accept her proclamation that Mindy has magic as if it was common terminology. Sebastian was no expert on the matter, but he was relatively sure that Magic users were rather uncommon in this day and age, unlike they were in the past. This wasn't the only thing strange about this girl, but he couldn't wuite put his finger on what it could be.
There was another problem had to be addressed. "Milady, where are you going? We don't even know where this "shop" is, even if existed." He said out loud."It's simple, really! EVERYONE knows that magic shops are found behind middle class pubs, in their dark, damp allys! Like that one over there!"
"That is riddiculous! Why in the world would Har.....Oh dammit!" He said as they turned the corner behind some two bit bar and came upon a store that looked way to fine to be situated where it was. It looked like an Old book store but it clearly had a lot of money. The sign in front read out "Akasheek's Records and Wares"
Sebastian sighed as he saw the big "I-told-you-so" grin on Mindy's face and went to go open the door for the girls. Lucky Guess. There were a lot of items on pedestals, and items on shelf in the center. A large bookcase covered all the walls in the store and they reached to the ceiling with sliding ladders all along it. A voice came from the back the store. "I'll be out in a minute, feel free to look around. Don't make a mess! Sebastian almost swore entirely out of instinct, Mindy was going to be like a child in a candy store, and the other girl was a wild card. It's moments like these that he contemplated death, and then with defeat, he accepted the fact he would just come back and have to continue doing it in a new life. So rather then swearing, he sighed in stead.

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
Still being dragged along behind Mindy, Q7 watches her, not exactly sure why she was winked at. Taking a glance over at the butler that is still following them, she realizes that she doesn't know his name yet. Names are important to people, or so she was told. Suddenly the haze around the girl in front of her shifts, only being there for an instant. If Q7 blinked she would have missed it. Suddenly she didn't mind being dragged around by this weird girl at all, since it seemed like being around her was going to be really interesting. Wandering around the city paled in comparison.
It wasn't long before Mindy pulled them around behind a bar, having a small argument with her companion about how a magic shop would not exist in such a run down location, though he was ultimately proven wrong. Q7 wondered if this was common for them, but quickly put that thought away, instead focusing on what was in front of her right now. She glances over at the sign, reading the name of the store. "Akasheek's Records and Wares" was what it was called. Q7 tilts her head at the first word, noting that it was not a very common name to have. By then Mindy was dragging her inside, her companion holding the door open for them.
Once they were inside, Q7 finally got her hand back, allowing her some freedom with looking around. The store keeper calls out to them, saying that they were free to look around, so she doesn't waste any time at all, instantly starting towards one of the display cases, before pausing and turning towards the man dressed as a butler. "Hello, what is your name?" She waits politely while he answers, then gives him a small bow. "Thank you." Having finished being polite like she was taught, Q7 goes back to what she was doing.
The first case she went to had a number of smaller items, none of them having any labels of course. It seems like if you didn't know what they were then you shouldn't be in the store in the first place. The first two items being a small little golden ball, one that could easily be held in your hand, with a cup that has a flame burning in it. Q7 actually stared at the flame for a long moment, wondering how it could burn without any fuel to keep it going, but in the end just files it away as something she should ask about later, moving on. Next there was a crystal ball, nothing seemingly off about it, following by a few different sized bags, all of which looked completely empty. There were a few rings too. Looking up from the case, she spots a broom and a carpet in the corner, side by side.
She starts over towards them, planning on picking them up and seeing what they do when the shop keeper finally exists out of the back. Q7 pauses where she was and turns towards him, waiting to see what he says.

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
"Hello, what is your name?" Sebastian looked down at the small girl who had spoken up. He bowed slightly and spoke up himself "My name is Sebastian Michaelis. Pleasure to meet your acquaintance." The little girl bowed back and gave her thanks before scampering off to whatever she was doing. She might be a test experiment or something like that, but she seemed human enough. At least she had manners, Sebastian thought with chagrin, unlike his current ward.
Mindy looked around at all the artifacts and the cool thing-ma-bobers like a dismembered hand with 4 fingers, a rock with a thin slip in it, a bunch of grimoires with strange triangles and circles on them (they didn't say what they did, but Mindy could tell they could be used to make little dolls fight. She was going to ask Sebastian if they could buy the chess set with the moving pieces before she was suddenly distracted by a single blank covered book in a bin behind a wardrobe in the back, the bin was covered in talismans. She knew it was there even before she saw it. She reached it and grabbed it and came skipping to the front as the shop keep finally shuffled to the counter.
It was a man in a cloak of raven feathers, he had a large nose with a wart on it, at least 5 earrings per ear and more gold fillings then normal enamel. He kind of looked like a fancy over-sized purple and gold throw pillow. "What bring you to my humble little shop?" The man, presumably Akasheek, said as he broke into a golden toothy grin.
Mindy was still in the back getting stuck on a rack of clothes, so Sebastian spoke up. "Do you have anything greek in nature?"
"Of course, of course! Do you want the ones that are in greek or only the ones translated?"
"Greek is fine, bring me all that you have on hand." Before Akasheek shuffled away, he turned to Q7 and asked "Would you like something as well?"

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
Q7 shakes her head, basically waving him off just without the hand motions. "I am fine. Thank you for asking." That being said, she turns back to what she was doing, She picks up the broom, not finding anything super interesting about it as she moves it around, trying to get it to work. When nothing at all happens, she places it back, disappointed that it seemed to just be a normal broom. With that done, she wanders over to the chess set, She stares at the pieces as they shift in place, turning her head slightly to one side. She finally reaches down and gently picks one up, watching as it shifts in her hand before deciding that she likes them. That being said, moments later the chess and the board was gone.
With that done, Q7 wanders off to look at the books that line the wall, opening each one and reading through it quickly before putting it back and moving onto the next one. Q7 ignores everything else in the store except the row of books, finishing all of them before Mindy and the shop keeper had finished their exchange and moved onto something more interesting.
She looks around for something else to interest her before spotting what looked to be a music box. Instantly crossing the room and picking it up, she stares at it for a moment before finally heading over to where Mindy and the shop keeper was, holding up the music box for the shop keeper to see. "I would like this. How much is it?"

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
Mindy unhooked herself from the rack of clothes that she had managed to get herself tangled in. Looking back at the cloaks, robes and pointed hats and realizing how tacky they looked, she made a mental note to clothes shopping later. Maintaining her magic laden clothes all the time was always a pain, and plus she hadn't gotten a new dress in forever. She turned and made her way to the front of the store, where she saw Sebastian eyeing up some books and shaking his head at something while the shop keep was staring at him greedily. Dropping the book she had found from bin unceremoniously onto the counter.
"I would like to buy this book!" The shop keeper opened the cover and sifted through the pages to find them empty. It was a blank grimoire, a regular book for Magicians to write down their own magic to pass it on to pupils, not an uncommon object for spell writers.
"An aspiring witch, I see! Would that be all?" That's when Q7 spoke up. "I would like this. How much is it?"
The shop keep looked up and passively said, "That is the Music Box of Anastasia, $53,000." He said almost positive that she wouldn't be able to afford it. If anything the price he threw out was at least twice the amount that box actually was worth. The charm on it just made it sing the song the person who opened it wanted to hear the most.
Waiting a second, Mindy reached for the metal band around her neck, and slid it off with the signet ring on it. and slid it in front of Akasheek. He picked it up and was about to say that there was no way it would cover the cost, when he noticed a glowing pentagram shining through the gem. The magic power he felt course through the ring stopped him in his tracks. A Magic stone of that quality would sell for 100k at the least if not way more.
"That will be sufficent for both. Thank you and come again." He said as the trio made their way out of the store. Sebastian was livid. "Wasn't that you mother's ring? What happened, to "you have nothing more important" then that!?"
"My mother would want me to not have to worry about money. And plus, things of destiny have a way of taking care of themselves out. She said with a grin, still happy about her new book, despite it being seemingly useless. Sebastian shook his head. Psychotic Woman. he thought to himself.
"So lets go clothes shopping now!" Mindy said in an out burst and turned to grab Q7's hand and begin running towards the mall near where they were.
Back in the store, Akasheek marveled at his new gain as he sent his work demon to re-shelf the stock. "Sir, All the Blank Grimoires are shelved and we are missing on of our Wizard's chess sets." That made Akasheek look up. Had he just been had? Maybe thats why she had given him so much money, what if they had stolen much more then that!? He turned to his demon, "Summon the Black Coffin Gang, we have some thieves to catch! He turned and began to arm himself. He could try and figure out what they had taken after he had them in custody. No one stole from Akasheek and lived to tell the tale!

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
Q7 looks down at the music box as Mindy was kind enough to buy it for her. She would have taken it like she took the chess set, but Q7 didn't know if it would come back correctly. She wasn't worried about the chess set, since they could just use the pieces like a normal set if the magic set on it failed, but music held a special place in her crystal heart.
It wasn't until they were out of the store that she overheard Sebastian say that the ring was precious to Mindy. Q7 pulled Mindy to a stop, using her full strength so that she couldn't be pulled along anyways. "Mindy, if that ring was precious to you, we can go and get it back. I do not need the music box that badly." That being said, she gives Mindy a small smile, just the barest hint of one. After all, if someone was willing to give up something dear to them just so she could get a music box, they must be friends. At least, that's how Q7 saw it, though she is somewhat weird in how her thought process works.

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
Mindy was rushing towards the mall when she felt her arm being yanked backwards as Q7 pulled back. It felt like her arm was about to be pulled out of its joint, but rather yelp in pain, Mindy turned backed and gave Q7 a look of confusion. Had she finally gotten bored with their girls day out (sans Sebu-chan)?
"Mindy, if that ring was precious to you, we can go and get it back. I do not need the music box that badly." Said Q7 before giving a meek smile. One of the corners of Mindy's mouth reached up into a silent smile as she wrapped her other arm around the little girl and hugged her into her chest.
Sebastian stood there slightly shocked, this was the most intimate thing he had ever seen the ever emotionally aloof Mindy do. She wanted to get things to be her possessions, but this? This seemed to be actual concern. He shook his head, maybe Mindy just had a soft spot for little girls? Then again, Sebastian didn't know the age of the other girl, nor would he ask. Butler rule #569: Never ask a lady unnecessary personal questions. Oh well?
A couple more moments passed before Mindy spoke up. "I got it for you because I wanted you to have it. If you want to repay me, treasure it, keep it safe. Play it when your happy, play it when your sad, play it whenever. Plus, didn't you know its rude to return a gift?" She replied with a wink in her voice. Letting go of Q7, Mindy took a couple steps back and said "If anything, you could always just call me Big Sis." Her face was now in a big smile, laughing as she rubbed a finger between her top lip and her nose. Mindy turned and began skipping away before she could hear the response, more excited that they were still going shopping then the possible improvement in their relationship.
It took a lot of willpower on Sebastian's part to not let his bewilderment show on his face. Whatever just happened, was way too deep for their normal shenanigans. He turned slightly towards the girl Q7, and bowed slightly. "Milady has a tendency to run on eccentric side, please do not let it make you uncomfortable."

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
Q7 returns Mindy's hug, knowing that returning the hug is what one should do when something like this happens. A few words later and she was released, Mindy stepping back and heading on her merry away again. Q7 watches her for a bit, turning to Sebastian when he speaks to her. She tilts her head to the side. "I am not uncomfortable." That being said, she follows after Mindy, trying to catch up again, the music box tucked into her arms so that it would not drop and break.
It took them a bit, but they finally managed to get to the mall, Q7 looking around at all of the different stores. Of course, during this she was still following Mindy around, just nodding every time she was talked to, having figured out that Mindy just wants a response, and didn't actually care what the response was.

Re: My Life as a Teenage Robot? [Clockwork]
The went to the near by mega mall and hours began to seem like minutes as they went from store to store. Mindy was ecstatic at how willing Q7 was to wear whatever she asked her to. In one store a white dress with a black sash, in an another, a school uniform with a ribbon in her hair, and in another a bunny suit. By the time they were finished, Mindy had over 300 photos and was breathing heavily with an ecstatic look on her face.
Q7's reaction to her requests wasn't missed by Mindy, No matter what she did, Q7 agreed to do it, and it left a quiet, thoughtful look in Mindy's eye. but she still dragged on from one store to the next. They were buying much, it was more of a window shopping day, but that didn't bother Mindy, she was having a blast.
Sebastian, on the other hand, didn't notice anything strange. He was still confused at whatever that hugging scene was all about. Though he did find it strange that whenever they went to a store, Q7 almost instinctively went towards the infants and toddlers sections. He stopped her the first time, and when he asked why she was going and all she said was "I thought that section was designated for me." "No no, Mistress Q7. Follow Mindy, and she will give you a hand." as she walked off all it left Sebastian with was a feeling of sadness. Maybe her designation at that testing facility was group 1 or maybe she saw the "7" in "7 months" and thought it referred to her.
They kept going till the found a karaoke restaurant and Mindy excitedly ushered them in. The sat down at booth and it didn't even last a second before Mindy was rushing up to the stage to be next after the drunk couple finished their rendition of "My Heart will Go On" by Celine Dion. "Just make the order, I will leave you in charge of my order, Sebastian."
After quickly glancing at the menu, Sebastian was about to call over the waitress and make the order when he had noticed that Q7 hadn't even looked at the menu but rather had been glancing around till the just rested on Mindy, who was just about to go onto the stage. He flashed a smile and spoke up.
"So what would you like to order? We will cover the expenses, so order whatever you wish."
Maybe she didn't have enough money for the food? Maybe she wanted a children's menu? Discerning human ages from appearance was not a talent he could be proud of having. She looked backed at him and replied with a rather blank expression.
"I do not need to consume food to survive. Thank you for the offer."
Thats when it slammed into him like a freight train. This girl wasn't human. At the very least, not in the traditional sense. She wasn't divine, nor did she seem demonic or a monster. Was she a robot? Sebastian took a couple moments, rolling the idea around in his head before speaking up.
"...Would you like a glass of motor oil?"
It didn't take long for her to respond. She tilted her head to the side and said, "Why? I am not designed to require oil." Well if there was any doubt that she was a robot atleast 90% of it was gone. He signaled to waitress to take their order as if nothing had changed, but he opened the mind link he had with Mindy.

This is important. I think she is a robot!
So?
So!? What do you mean "So"!?
I had a feeling. Plus, it doesnt change that shes the girl we've spent the day with. Now, shhhhh! Time to sing!
Mindy cleared her voice and began to sing.
The other patrons clapped as she bowed and scampered back down to where their booth was. She sat down as the waitress began placing their food down on the table. Mindy winked at Q7 and asked, "So what did you think?"
Outside the Black Coffing gang was waiting for them to leave. They were 50 men strong, full of Magic users and at least 15 meta-humans waiting to strike them when they were in the parking lot.
