Hearts and cyanide [Silus]

The first sound was music flowing through the room, a grungy rock song from one of those bands that Ryan had found himself enjoying. Softly, he groaned, rolling onto his side with the covers over him rolling onto the floor, leaving Ryan bare save for his plaid boxers. ”Mmmmmm.” Ryan groaned, smacking his lip and looking to the ceiling, which was veiled within darkness. Rolling out of bed, the poor hydrokinetic thudded onto the ground, now a little more annoyed than before. Grasping through the dark, he pressed onto the switch and let light flood the room. Pain flooded his mind, unaware of the cold that had taken over his room. Clothes were scattered across the floor, one of them being lifted up off the floor, basketball shorts and a sort of muscle shirt thing. Picking them up, another yawn would ring out before he stared into the mirror above his clothes thing.

Dark brown hair was messily arrayed, sticking out in every different angle, glaring somewhat at his reflection, shaking his head and attempting to wrangle the hair with his fingers. This would go on for around three minutes, until he realized that this would go nowhere, so Ryan grumbled and walked out of his room. This involved looking around for the bathroom, which he eventually did find, locking it behind him. Next came Ryan's favorite part of the morning, turning on the shower as hot water would stream out from the showerhead, slipping out of his boxers and into the hot stream of water. The elevated sense of heat would wash over him, causing Ryan to almost moan upon feeling the heat, which was not too hot but just right. This bath would go on for around ten minutes, until his flesh was glowing a bright red from scrubbing.

Steam rose high into the room, filling it almost to the brim and fogging the mirror up. Digging through the section under a counter, he ran a towel over his moist hair to dry it up, before drying the rest of himself off. Okay, now that he was all clean, that meant that Ryan could sate the hunger flowing through his stomach. Next stop was the kitchen, forgetting entirely about his clothes, not that he needed them. Ryan hooked his phone into the waistband of his boxers, sticking there close enough that he would not have to worry about it falling out of it. Breakfast came next, which meant digging through one of the shelves until he found pop tarts, digging around for the toaster. All it took was a tired and almost clumsy motion for the toaster to fall off the counter, and slam onto his toe.

A yelp slipped out, Ryan gripping his toe, large nail broken in an almost ugly fashion with a small amount of blood flowing out of it. Grumbling, ice would form over the wound and halting the flow, before he could get back to making his pastries.  Within a few minutes they would pop up, gripping onto them carefully before plopping down at the table, chewing on one gingerly once he was sure they cooled down. ”Yum.” he hummed softly.

It was a good day.

Silus had had a rather busy day, truth being told. He had been running around with Zell all week to get ready for a Valentines day surprise for Sean. Of course Silus was helping Shael too, and then Jordan in his preperations for Mike. Yamm needed help with his romantic life too, which lead Silus to wonder why everyone was looking to the eleven year old for romantic advice. What no one cared to worry about was WHY the eleven year old was so damn good at it! Silus had actually earned the reputation of "cupid" to some of the high-schoolers Yamm hung around. He had been giving advice all week, but now he was finally implamenting the ultimate Valnetines plan. Of course he was only half of the brain to it, but that's besides the point. He sat on the curb as he looked out to the parking lot, ready to be home and washing his swim suit so he didn't have to go more than one day with the same, unclean "underware". Silus squinted as he looked about, thinking to himself. Valentines day... it was a weird day for him. Today was a day everyone celebrated love, enjoyed their time together and enjoyed each others company. Silus never understood it.

  Cupid? Really? You always said this holiday was dumb. A familiar voice said. Silus didn't skip a beat as Yancey came into plain sight, having walked up from behind him. Silus didn't look at him, he just kept looking around.

  "It is. You shouldn't need one day to show someone you love them. One day to do things for them." Silus sighed as he shifted a little, tugging at his massive hoodie-jacket to peel it from his torso. He watched as card drove by, one after the other. The soft breeze past him, carrying the smell of mouthwatering bacon cheeseburgers. "Like with you, Ryan, Diana and Tyia..." Silus added in before finally looking up at Yancey, who just smiled as he looked down. Silus smiled out of reflex of simply seeing the angelic being. It was one of his best friends, if not the best of them. He genuinely missed that dopy Texas accent, that the grease monkey of an angel had. He missed all of the great times they had. Like that time he brought up the irony of Zell being so tiny when he was younger.

  Awe, shucks Si. See, you're Cupid for a good reason I guess. Yancey said. Silus looked over at him and scoffed, a slight sigh as he shook his head. "I just miss you so much..." Silus said as he looked up to the tanned angel who just arched an eyebrow. Si you're pretty terrible at this playing pretend thing. If ya point out ya miss me then you're pretty much admitting I'm only your imagination. He said with a chuckle. Silus smiled and nodded before sighing and silently agreeing with his hallucinated angel. "I'm gonna bring you back... I believe it...." Silus said, more of him reaffirming his faith in his own abilities and his goals. Of course he suddenly took into memory Ryan, Danny, Xiao and Diana.

 You know how I was taken from ya so fast. Just remember that they could be taken just as fast. Leave nothing unsaid, leave nothing undone. The hallucination said. Silus looked up and scoffed while shaking his head in bemusement. "Hey! I'm the smart one. What kinda stupid hallucination are you? Not even accurate!" Silus scoffed. Yancey moved his hand down and brushed Silus' hair, though his hand dissipated and faded away, soon followed by the rest of the hallucination. Dumb subconscious trying to tell him messages. Well, it looked like he'd be going to see Ryan. Looking down at his watch he ascertained that it was actually about 10:00 pm. Zell had just passed Silus and literally lifted him and they began their trek to the car, Silus laughing at the sudden uplift he experienced.

   It took about thirty minutes to get home, then it took thirty minutes to get a shower between the dragon and his other brothers. Silus stripped down, wrapped a towel around him and made a dash to the laundry room to throw his underware/swimming suit into the washer. Then he made his way to the bathroom and turned the knob. Silus went in and washed his hair, forcing himself to use his own AXE despite Zell's herbal shampoo stuff to make his hair smooth. Next he scrubbed his little self with the AXE energize body wash, then applying conditioner to his hair before the after-wash. Turning the almost-scalding water off he poked his head out an dried himself off before wrapping the same towel around himself and stepping out. He poked his head out and recalled the fact Sean and Zell would still be out. Normally Silus enjoyed this hour at 3 when everyone was gone, but everyone was out of the house right now so... nothing wrong with losing the towel.

  Trotting around in his own house he waited for his swimsuit to finish washing as he went to his room and laid clothing out. It was 11:15 by time the washer and dryer had yielded a clean swim team swimming suit, one he put on and enjoyed the comfort of. He quickly dressed himself in a black wife-beater before a fresh pair of jeans and then his necklace with the golden band attached to it. He then put his hoodie jacket on again, it only needed cleaned every three days or so and it was just cleaned yesterday, so he was good. Looking over his room quickly he grabbed his wallet and then linked the chain attached to it through a belt loop and stuffed the money filled leather into his jean pocket. He then looked to his glasses, wondering if she should take them in case he needed to age himself. True he didn't NEED them, but he did like to have them... Quickly stuffing the glasses into his hoodie jacket pockets he then closed his eyes and when he opened them...he was in the kitchen...at the Prodigy base, behind Ryan whom was apparently enjoying a lazy day himself.

  "Yo lazybones!" Silus giggled as he ran up and jumped, latching onto Ryan's back before letting go, dropping and waltzing around the side to look at him with a big smile and indigo eyes. "Hoooowya doooooin?'" He asked with a little tune to his voice.

Ryan tended to forget one thing one these kind of lazy days, which was that Silus could do that teleporting thing. Not that he felt too weird about not wearing pants around a little kid but then again Ryan was strange, didn't really like being this exposed around anyone. So when he suddenly heard the young Silus' loud and almost boisterous greeting, he could not help but nearly choke on the bit of poptart he was chewing on. It went down after a second of trouble, but that was a second that he did not enjoy,  recognizing the feeling of a poofy hoodie against his bare back, well and someone latching onto him. Okay, despite his current situation, Ryan was happy to see his little friend, because he was always happy to see his friend. Sort of like a dog would be happy to see their favorite person, as  master had too many strange connotations.

”Yo!” He responded, feeling the small mass detach and walk around him, letting them meet more face to face, rather than face to back. The semi-large goofy grin would likely be obvious upon his face, even with pop-tart still half within his mouth, held in place by teeth alone. People were likely scrambling around doing whatever it is people did on Valentines day, but Ryan was just sort of treating it like any other day, either because he forgot the holiday existed or he did not care. There were os many likely answers to that question, yet none of them could truly be figured out at the moment. His hazel eyes would instantly meet the strange indigo orbs, considering them a moment before he would jump to the question. ”I'm good, eatin a poptart.” He said, removing the poptart from his mouth and releasing a small spray of crumbs that fluttered across the table.

”Want one? They're like....blueberry I think.” He would ask, before examining the inside of the one he had been nomming on, and then offering the second from the plate. ”Hows it goin with you?” He would then ask, drawing a small attention to his friend, taking another bite of his still warm toaster pastry. Just as always, the clouds were just thick enough to obscure sunlight outside, so Ryan was not really sure what time it was. Maybe if he controlled his powers enough, the rain would go away, along with those lame clouds. Either way, he had one of, if not his best friend with him, so it was already way better than usual.

"Nah, Thanks though." Silus said as he heard blueberry. Not that he intended to swipe Ryan's food, regardless of the flavor. If Silus knew his friend half as well as he thought he did, he would guess that the little homeless kid loved food...perhaps to a fault. Regardless, Silus was then asked about how it was going with him, which made him shrug. Well obviously he was here and smiling right? If he were a smart ass he would have said that too. There was only one thing keeping him though...well, actually he was wondering why hadn't he said it yet. "Well obviously talking to you. So good, duh." Silus said, though the "duh" was obviously a joke as he stuck out his tongue and tilted his head to the side before resetting to his regular happy expression. Chilling with friends was always good, in fact if he could get Danny or Diana to pop up he'd be just about as a happy as a pig in slop. Probably Diana, he couldn't help but think Danny wasn't exactly his biggest fan. Then again he only thought that for a second, because that's about as much as he cared. He always assumed people didn't like him until they told him otherwise, it was better that way.

  "So I'm totally not with this whole... mushy Valen-times day or whatever. It's stupid. I wanted to see if the Prodigy crew wanted to hang...but ya kinda got the party started early I guess." Silus said with a smirk looking around. Sitting in your underwear as you eat poptarts? Make them Wildberry and this had Silus written all over it. Apparently with blueberry it had Ryan written on it. If it were cherry it would probably be Danny who kicked ass and took names. Diana would be those strange chocolate pop tart things, since she was a lesbian vampire rebel who loved eating sweets and having no bedtime... and cutting up dozens of people at a time. Silus just now understood the gravity of how badly he needed new friends... "So... Show-some-skin Saturday or somethin'?" Silus asked as he reached over and poked Ryan's arm. Damn he was cold, it was so surreal...so Silus poked him again to make sure it was real. He quickly realized how rude he was being...then poke him again for good measure before smiling really big and withdrawing to his own personal space.

 "Sorry, you just feel so cold. Anyway, so yeah... wanna try and have a Prodigy crew hang day or something? Shoot some texts and set up plans?" Silus asked as he actually turned around and leaned back on the counter, his mop of hair falling back as he arched his back over the counter to look at Ryan upside down.

Ryan nodded, continuing to chew on his pop tart and enjoying the whole blueberry taste of the pop tart. Granted, Ryan loved food in general, so that was not exactly the perfect measure for how he was enjoying the flavor, so maybe it was just best to say he was enjoying his pop tart. That and he wasn't the type to get offended when someone denied an offering, so a double win....sort of. Another good part was that Silus was good as well, as that managed to improve Ryan's move as well. Next came a mention of valentines day, which reminded him that this was exactly Valentines day, one of those days where people showed how much they loved each other. Ryan blinked for a moment, looking to Silus and considering the day in comparison to how he felt...towards what was the question.

”I just thought people bought each other flowers, chocolates and cards.” Ryan noted with a shrug, finishing off one of the pastries, and getting to work on the other one. While he would have liked to partake in the whole holiday, Ryan didn't have the money to really go around buying that special someone something....wait..did he even have a special someone? ”Yeah, none of the Prodigy guys are around today.” He shrugged taking a bite out of his poptart, still somewhat ignorant of his near nudity. His mind would snap to that fact as he felt a finger prop against his forearm. Blinking, he would look to the eleven year old who was now prodding his arm. With a downward glance, Ryan felt himself flush slightly, but that was an easily fixed problem. ”Nah..I just kinda woke up.” He admitted, with a small smirk.

”A prodigy crew hang day? Sounds pretty awesome.” Ryan nodded, standing up and returning to the bathroom, picking up his clothes slipping into them. ”If they don't have any sort of weird valentines day stuff goin on.” He then added stepping into the kitchen, feet lazily tapping against the floor.

"Sweet. You text Danny and I'll text Xiao and Yan-" Silus froze before shaking it off with a slight stammer and acting as if he hadn't said anything. Yancey being gone was a new adjustment for everyone. Silus especially had a rough time. But he tried to keep strong. Not like crying was going to fix anything, it would probably only make it worse. Silus quickly attempted to text Xiao, though he found himself waiting a long time with no response. Was she still mad at him? Oh well, who cares if she was. Silus really liked Xiao, but she had been pretty mean. Silus forgave her obviously, but he wasn't sure Smaugette was ready to forgive him for muting her in the middle of her draconian rampage.

  "I got nothing from Xiao. How about Danny?" He'd ask, only half interested in the response. True enough the day would be 1000% more awesome with Danny around, but if there was no Danny then there would still be fun times ahead. All that really mattered was friends mattered today. Sorta. Silus even up and shot Diana a text to wish her a happy one, but then again she was also likely too busy for him. "So Danny is busy beating people up, and Xiao is a no show.... so looks like it's just us. Soooo.... whatcha wanna do?" He asked his once homeless friend as he void walked to the other side of the table, entering the void as a his true 11 year old self, but stepping out as his sixteen year old self, arms crossed as he leaned on the wall patiently waiting for a reply.

Okay, so he would text Danny, easy enough. Removing the cellphone from its little hide away, water boy would type away a text and wait until he got a response. It took a few minutes to get a response, and it was enough to confuse him as to what she meant, but enough that he knew Danny would not be able to join them on whatever it was they were doing.  ”Danny's busy too.” Ryan noted before slipping the phone back into a pocket, sighing softly. Not that he was surprised, Danny was always busy with whatever it was that Danny did. Probably kicking ass and taking names, or something like that. It sounded like her anyway, unless he had an unrealistic expectation of Dannys.  So it looked like it was just them, which sounded pretty good to him, since he did enjoy hanging out with his friends, no matter who it is.

Which meant that it was all up to them as far as what they did, which meant he would have to think. Racking his brain for activities, Ryan would attempt to think of something that Silus would enjoy doing as much as him. Okay, now he was dealing with not little Silus, which meant.....something, they could do stuff that older kids did. Except graffiti, Ryan was no good at painting, especially with the cans of paint stuff. ”I wanna go to that place where ya walk around and buy stuff.....” Ryan paused, stroking his chin as if looking for the word that went there, resting his elbow on the table. ”The mall? I think that's what its called.”

The mall? Silus hadn't been to a mall in a long time. Actually he wasn't entirely sure he had ever been to a mall. He knew what they were of course, they were shopping centers. The problem he had was the slight curiosity he had about his little friend. Why would a homeless boy, who probably had no money, want to go to a mall for? Silus didn't think on it too much, probably finding it better to leave well enough alone. All that mattered to Silus was hanging with his little homeless friend. Well, not so homeless now. But he was pretty clotheless. He should probably fix that. Silus smiled as he realized Ryan actually didn't forget to dress himself. Silus had a little more faith in Ryan than that, but the thought humored him immensely.

  "Ok, sweet. To the mall then." Silus said as he squeezed Ryan's shoulder and shook it. It bothered him that Ryan chose the mall because he wasn't sure what his friend wanted to do there. Unfortunately it was something Silus felt to be as though he'd be the one buy things for Ryan. That...was just him though, wanting to make people happy, even though he missed a couple details now and again. One of his little quirks maybe? Just like the homeless kid wanting to go to the mall. It was times like these that his friend was stupid and not overly critical of him. Probably why he was such good friends with Ryan, they sort of connected. They didn't sweat the small stuff, even when one was able to being an asshole and didn't consider the things going on in each others lives...like not knowing about why he wanted to go to the mall. Shaking himself from these worries and thoughts, he looked to Ryan once more. "You uh... I'll call a cab?" Silus asked as he walked towards the doorway out of the room, turning once he reached the threshold. Ryan knew where the mall was, Silus didn't so it would be up to him to deal with the cab driver once he got here.

The mall, perhaps the least expected of places for Ryan to want to go, but then again if someone brought money into this, he could go nowhere. Everywhere you turned, something required money and that was sort of how he ended up homeless in the first place, didn't have any of the green stuff. In his mind it was sort of just a chance to hang out with a good friend of his, nothing had to be bought and sadly he could not buy anything for said good friend. ”Yupp.” He said with a small nod, remembering his phone was in the same place, removing it from between waistband and hip, before placing it back into his pocket. So they were going to be taking a cab, something Ryan had admittedly never done before, so it would be a new experience for him.

”A cab sounds cool.” He said giving a little thumbs up, unconsciously feeling around his left pocket and finding the amulet there as always, but then again he had grown used to such strange magic...if it was magic. Now came waiting for the cab, which would take who knows how long. Likely the cab would be waiting outside of the Prodigy building, which meant they would have to got here, after Ryan put his shoes on. An easier process than clothing, since he had only one pair of well worn shoes. Tying up the laces, he would follow along behind Silus. The cab would be waiting outside of the Prodigy Base, Ryan jumped into the back, or rather slipped into the back seat anyway. It was from there that he would guide them to the mall, hopefully Silus would be able to pay. The time it took them to get there was considerable, but soon enough there they were, in front of the mall with Ryan burying his hands in his pockets.

"Alrighty, I think we're here." He said with a small nod.

Silus sat in the car and watched the street go past. All these faces, all these places. Such familiar things from where he came, yet so cold and distant all the same. Wait a minute that could actually be decent song lyrics. What would it be about though? He started to think for a moment about a melody that could go to it. It was mostly gonna be piano in the start, move it in to a soft rock song maybe?  Now Silus wasn't a fan of overly soft rock, but he did have to admit every now and again it was a guilty pleasure. Soft songs had their place, though he really liked composing the heavy stuff. He only did clean vocals though, the growling stuff hurt his throat. Besides, when he tried to do growling vocals in his 11 year old form people just thought he was sick and tried to send him home from school.

  He enjoyed school, so being sent home wasn't exactly on his to-do list. So far he decided that the slow piano to slow guitar to a more rhythmic and upbeat guitar then a slightly depressing piano, then back to the piano and slow guitar. Maybe the lyrics could all be about people he knew. Or maybe just how he felt about this whole life thing.

  "All these faces, all these plaaaces. So fam-iliar yet so pecu-liar. It's all the same, from where he came, so cold and distant all the same. Watching out at the rain, nothing ever stays the same. We're left waiting on this road, heavy heart's a burdened load. " He stopped and realized that he wasn't actually sure how any other part of that would go. He put his index and middle finger to his temple. "aaaand one for the vault." he said as he committed it to memory. In the end the product might not sound anything like it, but hey it was something for now. He looked to Ryan as the cab crawled to a slow. Silus reached into his wallet and pulled out 30 dollar. The little chart on the cab driver's prices said for about 28 miles they had to pay 1.00 a mile. He didn't bother getting his change as he stepped out and stood in front of the Mall. Ryan was next to him with his hands buried in his pockets...same as Silus, though Silus wasn't sure if he did it because he wanted to be like Ryan, or if it was just damn cold out. Wait they live in Cali, so it wasn't cold. Wait, didn't Zell or Sean do that all the time? Oh hey Ryan's talking. He pointed out the obvious again.

  "Yeah, we are..." Silus said as he observed the large place. Damn it was huge. The massive directory said that there were over 30 stores that lined the outside, and on the inside there were a ton of stores listed. Looking up to the little drizzle of rain Silus smiled, not entirely sure if being outside in this unpredictable weather was a good idea. Truthfully he had never been to a mall before that he could remember. Most of his hang-outs had been parks because of all the wolves, or occasionally    he had a place like his arcane vault, or Neverland. That was besides the point though. Silus started inside with Ryan and began to look around at the stores and the smell of the pretzels and a couple other foods in the air. This mall was so big, he felt so tiny in a place like this. Well he was tiny, but that's beside the point... "So where we gonna go first?" He asked Ryan, a little bit of awe still in his voice.

Looking to the large building that was the mall, Ryan found himself in some sort of awe about the whole thing. From what he knew of malls, there were a lot of places that people could buy things from, and even though he had no money, he was sure there was something that Silus would want to buy with money or whatever. Either way, it looked fun and so he would likely have a lot of fun with his friend. Ryan lead first, stepping through into the mall and feeling the smell of the food court wash over his nostrils in an almost intoxicating fashion. A low growl rumbled through his stomach, as he looked over the little directory where they showed the many stores within the mall. While he trying to read over it was difficult, eventually he saw what looked like a cool place to buy things, if he remembered the names of stores anyway.

”Oh, I know.” He said with a small confident nod of his head, motioning for Silus to follow, and tugging softly on his sleeve before taking off in a walk. Not a fast enough talk to leave Silus behind, but he was moving fast enough that it might have been annoying to keep up without walking faster on Silus' part. It was a place that he remembered walking into once, though all he liked about it was the cool looking shirts and this one hat that he was unable to buy due to lack of money. He still had the problem, but then again the poor little hydroboy had no idea what he was doing.

His chosen store was a hot Topic, or as Ryan knew it, the place with the weird brick front. ”I like this place, has a lot of cool shirts and stuff.” He said this while walking through the front door, looking over the shirts displayed on the wall almost unnaturally interested,

Silus followed his "hydroboy" like a little puppy glued to his master's side. Annoying because he couldn't keep up easily, but all the same he followed loyally. When they arrived Ryan was talking about the place having great shirts. So Ryan liked shirts huh? That was almost refreshing form Yancey who never wore a damn shirt if he didn't have to. His captivation with them was almost entirely unnatural, though Silus just stuck to his heel like a lost puppy. He did manage to unglue himself from Ryan's side, though not being close to his friend in a strange environment was a strange thing for him. He was now focused on the wife-beater tanks thingies. Silus liked those because the feeling of cloth on his triceps bothered him. Yes JUST his triceps. Don't ask why, no one knows. The first thing he noted was a black tank, a garbage green lettering that said "Suns out" then a picture of a cheeseburger that had text under it that said "Buns out". He cocked his head to the side. It's true, with spring and summer rapidly approaching the cook-outs would be afoot...but did they really need a shirt for it? He made a mental note before looking to a new tank. This one was so colorful and cool! It had contrast yet somehow it blended so perfectly. It was black at the straps but then it seemed to bleed, kinda like Tye-dye, and when it bled it bled into the color red. Then it bled from red into yellow, then from yellow into green and from green into black. It bled and shifted quite a few times but there were words and letters on it. The letters were F-O-U-R and they were arched around the number 20 in the center.

 The one that truly caught Silus' eye though was one of his favorite characters and one of the only child videos he ever liked from before his dad's era. It was, In Silus' opinion, the only thing Disney did right BEFORE Frozen. It was everyone's favorite furry blue menace with his little frayed ears, the funny off yellow fangs and big beady black eyes as he leaned up against a surf board with the term "Hawaii surf!" underneath him. Silus' eyes lit up as he nodded and remembered exactly what he needed to. With that he moved onto the head ware. He was looking desperately and-oh for the love of God... YES!!!! Well this store was officially his favorite place to shop. Ever. End of story, hands down the best. Because not only was he able to find a TANK of Lilo and stitch, but he managed to find a winter Beanie that was Stitch's face with two tassels that draped over either side. Who cares that ti's a girl's hat, he would still totally wear that. To make it even better his older persona had glasses, to match Zell, but he even found a Stitch sunglasses case. He quickly gathered the case and the hat before walking up to the register. Of course the cashier might have said something if Silus hadn't spoken up first.

 "These, then you got E4, Y11 and L377 for shirts...and...whatever that is he's holding..." Silus said, giving off the vibe that he was maybe just a living shopping cart. The cashier really didn't care it would seem as he just looked to a card that had the prices of all the shirt categories. He figured he'd buy the cheeseburger one for Ryan and the really colorful one for Ryan. He liked food and he liked colors as far as Silus could tell. Unfortunately Silus didn't understand that implications of either shirts. He got himself the Stitch shirt though. (Because fuck you Stitch is awesome OOC and IC). "Erm...we'll be a sec." He told the cashier before returning to Ryan's side and looking t him and the shirts he had been looking at.

  "This place is awesome... whatcha thinkin'?" Silus asked, as he looked to Ryan, hoping to get some insight on what he had happened upon.

Ryan had walked into the store along with Silus, though the male seemed to be clinging to him to an extent, not that Ryan really noticed it. So many shirts that had interesting designs that caught his eyes, but then again Ryan was not one known for deep thought, well at least that what most people said anyway. Without even needing a prompt, he would begin to look through the various shirts that decorated the walls as if demanding that they be noticed. There were a few that just won him over, but he couldn't really keep his attention on just one of them in particular. Well, one of them had caught his attention, but that was a shirt with pikachu featuring prominently in the center, the yellow little rodent smiling as they always did.

Sure, Ryan was no 90's kid, but he did get raised knowing about things much like Pokemon, much thanks to a person like his mother who seemed to really enjoy anime in all of its facets. Well, the ones that his mom called the classics anyway, rather than the weird stuff that apparently existed outside of his sight. Even with his mind jumping around like a puppy on crack, Ryan made sure to keep a certain distance close to Silus, if only because he didn't want him to feel left out or whatever it was that he would likely feel. Trying to keep friends was a new thing to Ryan, considering he had never really had many to begin with. Pulling the shirt from its rack, Ryan looked over the shirt with an almost curious expression, before returning to looking over them.

What had caught his eye was a jacket of all things, a leather one hanging upon a rack with a few of the other coat/jacket things. This jacket almost called Ryan to it, the dim cryokinetic looking over it, chewing his lower lip softly while considering the article of clothing.”Oh...I found this really cool jacket.” he said removing the jacket from its stand and trying it on, slipping his arms through the sleeves. ”I think I had one like this once, but it got all ripped and stuff.” He added with a shrug, now playing around with a few of the buttons, as well as one of the draw strings that hung down from the front.

So honestly Ryan getting this jacket was probably the best idea he's ever had. Well, then again Silus was a sucker for leather jackets. Some people had nails, or jewelry or whatever it was that they liked and found fashionable. Despite his tremendous fashion sense (which he hates) he always somehow found himself gravitated towards the whole concept of leather. Leather lifting gloves, leather jackets and the works. So to Silus this just made Ryan somehow sensible. That should have been his first indication that there was something wrong with him... Ryan began making smart choices. All joking aside though, Silus smiled ear to ear when he saw it. Okay that was one investment he wouldn't mind investing in. He was pretty sure Danny would like it too, or she'd hate it and punch him in his face. Either way, Silus was pretty chill with this.

  "Jackets like that are pretty cool. You gonna put it with the rest of the stuff?" Silus asked before using his thumb to point and motion to the small stack of things on the register. Silus actually really liked this jacket. He would have totally gotten it if Ryan didn't, but honestly it would have probably looked better on Ryan. Probably a Hell of a lot more useful for him too, since he's the Cryokinetic. Silus had he ability to make paint fire stuff too if he needed to, so it's totally okay if he's ever cold. Besides he's normally in his 11 year old form and wearing that really warm hoodie of his. Besides at this point it's look like he was trying to emulate Ryan which he didn't want to do...well not conscientiously. He wasn't about to let Ryan NOT get the jacket either though, and though he never really showed it... he was stubborn when he wanted to be. Spoiler alert:

Ryan liked the feel of the leather jacket, mostly because he thought they were cool and Ryan just liked the idea of leather jackets overall.  ”Oh...um sure.” Ryan said with a nod, looking down at his jacket before removing it and sort of folding it up. Looking over to the counter, there seemed to be something that Silus had picked out, which likely were pretty cool if he knew anything about Silus. He wasn't so sure personally if Silus liked his jacket, but he was hoping if he did anyway. He would take the jacket with him to the counter and drop it there, waiting for Silus to get here and do all of the paying, as Ryan had no money, you know how this went anyway.

”So, what did you get?” Ryan would ask with a raised brow, since it seemed like Silus had gotten more things than he did. Three shirts and a beanie, when compared to what looked like a simple, yet rather nice looking leather jacket.
