Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
Lynette was very annoyed right now. Like, extremely annoyed.
Not only has she been chasing a group of five (or six, she couldn't tell) for about an hour, but now she has to chase them through the rooftops of Los Angeles while they were constantly shooting in her direction with their puny guns.
She sensed a flurry of bullets coming in her direction and quickly ducked to evade them. She grabbed one of the bullets in midair and sent it right back to it's sender.
She threw the bullet with ease and she saw it hit one of the men in the leg, making the poor thug fall miserably to his knees. She chuckled slightly at the sight of the others continuing their escape without even looking back at the one on the ground, then she quickly made her way to the injured criminal and lifted him up into the air then she proceeded to smash him to the wall.
"Where are your friends headed?" She asked the man, who was currently shuddering in terror and in pain while in her telekinetic grasp. As she saw he wouldn't cooperate, she removed the bullet from his leg and brought it in her pocket, and she unsheathed her sword and pressed it against his neck. "I'm going to ask you one more time. Where are they headed?".
The man pointed quickly behind her, pointing directly at an abandoned apartment building. She let him go and quickly began running towards the building.

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
Bliss came to Los Angeles to pick out floral arrangements. Coming to a place covered in smog always sounded incredibly stupid to her, but a meta human with a literal green thumb cut her a good deal on what he claimed to be the best roses and lilacs in the world. He lived up to his word, but so did the air quality of Los Angeles, leaving Bliss to wander through the less than savory parts of LA looking for where this man set up his shop.
Scrolling through her phone, Bliss read through a long list of missed E-mails and irrelevant text messages from any number of idiots she knew. The sooner she could get these flowers, the sooner she could ignore these people in person, or at least that was the plan. Bliss found her plans as smoggy as the skies around her. Listening to the sound of gunshots in LA would not surprise Bliss much on a normal day, but the movement of the shots started to interfere with her plans.
Looking again at the tracker on her phone, Bliss made out the store she sought out, right next to an apartment building now harboring dangerous elements of society. "Well suck." Even the elongated sigh moving from Bliss' lungs could not drown out the brutality going on above her. Bliss pulled herself up the roof to see a very advanced interrogation. "Calm down Dirty Harry. Who taught you to interrogate people, Dick Cheney?" Using a little telekinesis of her own, Bliss would try to pull Lynette's sword down and would commence trying to be nice. "Wait, I don't care about this guy either." Still wanting to make use of what she did, Bliss would put the sword up against the man's stomach. "I need to pick up flowers for something important. Are you guys messing with anyone next door to that apartment?"

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
Lynette grabbed the sword pressed at the man's stomach and said "He was going to, and I was going to mess with anyone in that apartment, but I intend to stop whatever they are doing" She looked in the direction that her sensing ability told her where the woman was standing. "But why do you care? I noticed your telekinetic ability, but I can handle this by myself" She said, intending to keep the woman out of her bussiness.
She let the man go and sheathed her sword. Lynette turned around and began walking towards the apartment building, but not before making sure the criminal was found by the authorities. She sensed huge crates entering and exiting the building, with strong men and women hurriedly moving. She tried to sense what was in the apartment building itself, but she wasn't close enough.
Lynette gave a quick glance behind her as she sped up her movement and sprinted to a roof to the side of the building, her outfit gracefully flowing with the wind and moving along with her movements.

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
Putting her finger down on exactly how Bliss felt about Lynette changed often. She seemed undisciplined, sporadic, but brave and unrelenting. Following her into the heart of danger could prove fatal, or it could save this neighborhood from a gang running wild. No reason to rule out both as long as the situation still remained at large.
Given they both used the same direct power, Bliss could only stop and wonder at how useful the telekinesis could be with a sword. With a good swing and use of power, she could probably cut through a beam. A reckless use of a weapon, but a good way to use a tool. Lynette would definitely do some good after she left a trail of destruction in her wake.
Lynette moved over to the rooftop overlooking the side of the target building. Moving along with Lynette would be a decent enough tactic, but Lynette seemed to work on some insight she knew about this place. "So, do you know who these guys are, or what they have in there? Or how many of them there are?" Without any of the weapons Lynette carried, Bliss could pass a little more easily in public and through passages around the building. "So, what the plan? Are we going together or do you want to spread out?"

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
As Lynette figured out that the woman would not stay out of her bussiness she answered her questions willingly. "As far as I know, they are a gang that suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and they basically cover almost every sort of criminal activity, to drug trade, contraband, stealing and once they even stole from one of the safest banks in town" She said, then she began using her sensing ability to analyze the building "There are about twenty armed people in there, most of them are guarding the first floor heavily, while the upper floors almost empty" She thought of a plan quickly, then she heard a loud noice coming from the entrance. She looked down and saw that the group that escaped from her grasp talking to one of the gang members, and she suspected that they told the gang about her following them.
"Shit, now they will be expecting us, or... me" She turned to talk to the woman. "Let's split up, we'll flank them, let's go to the top floor, It's barely guarded and It provides easy access to the second floor, where they stored whatever they are bringing in, and It is barely guarded" She noticed that there was a very useful gaping hole leading to the first floor. "There's a hole in the same floor where the crates are stored in, we can drop some through it and cause a mess, it could easily create a distraction, then we can swoop in and take them out".

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
As far as plans went, this one felt alright. How well it would turn out if any of her variables went wrong would prove something else, but for now, the feeling felt good enough. Now, the fact a gang appeared out of nowhere and could gain so much ground and supplies did not sit well with Bliss. "Who's leading these guys? If they came out of nowhere, there's a chance these guys are a branch of a bigger organization. Could be run by a metahuman."
"If you play bait, we can see who's running this thing. Sounds like a good enough plan." Stepping up from her crouch, Bliss started to head towards the back window. The metal grating around the fire escapes left five foot gaps between Bliss and her next fire escape. Making the leap would be easy enough, but if these goons kept watching out for anyone, they would surely hear the noise Bliss made as she landed.
Every step creaked more and more over the catwalk, but Bliss finally made her way to a window large enough for her to fit through. With a quick move of her telekinesis, the locks on the windows opened, and Bliss pried the window up, stepping into a bathroom. Her shoes made far less noise on the linoleum, but the man currently occupying the bathroom took a certain umbrage to her invasion.
"Hey! What the..." A hand towel entered the man's mouth while the water faucet ran. A blow of concussive force made contact with his head, knocking the man out. Before he could fall to the ground and alert anyone with a thud, Bliss grabbed him and slowly lowered him to the ground. Sneaking her way to the door, Bliss opened the door and made a peak at the room before her.

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
Lynette did not like the idea of playing bait, but finding out who is directing this gang is more important.
She unlocked the window next to her with telekinesis and opened it slowly and silently. She heard a set of two footsteps and sensed the owners of the sound, both armed.
She picked up a nearby piece of rubble (also known as a rock) and threw it across the room, the bang distracting the men for the time she needed. Lynette flash-stepped in front of them and banged their heads together, and while they were rapidly falling, she used her telekinesis to lay them both on the ground silently.
She used her sensing to find the crates, instead, she sensed something different than what she wanted. She jerked her head to where her sensing felt the new and unwanted precense.
A man, or a woman, she could not tell, but since the person was coming here by running faster than the average human, Lynette suspected that the woman's theory was somehow right. She looked to the side and sensed that said woman's head peeking out of a door, and an unconsious man behind her. She sensed the crates to her right so she gestured the metahuman to follow her into the room.
There was no door, only a hole where it probably was, and the crates were badly hidden under a blanket. She threw the damn thing aside and opened the crates with a creak. Inside were: At least three chain guns, a ton of scrap metal, some dark blue powder she has never seen and a pair of black crystals that resembled diamonds.
She examined the huge box in search of a name and all she found where two letters: S. J, probably initials to some name.
Lynette sensed the precense from before drawing near, she hoped that the woman wasn't right and that this man wasn't S. J.

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
Once her companion made her way into the area, Bliss followed suit. Nothing out of the ordinary rang out from any of the rooms next to them, though the floor beneath them rang with energy. "That's an interesting enough cache. Looks like your idea to come here wasn't misplaced, but how do we figure out what this stuff is for?" Picking up the black crystals themselves did not directly relay any information to Bliss, but they sure looked nice. "I guess we got what they were hiding here, and it looks like no one is all the wiser to it either. How bout I take these two and you get the rest." Bliss volunteered herself to take the crystals while leaving the other materials for Lynette.
The sound of gunfire rang outside. Something bigger than any of the shots she heard before. "That sounds like trouble. Maybe the police are getting into a shootout with these guys." The reasoning behind her call made sense, but would not ultimately pull through. Unless counting the first statement of 'sounds like trouble', because trouble would begin to burst at the seems. "We could probably get the drop on them though, but we may not be enough. Pulling this haul will be a pretty nice how-do-you-do to them though."
As she spun the crystal, Bliss began to hear the footsteps off in the distance growing closer. And closer.

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
Lynette sort of agreed with the idea of the shootout, but she wasn't convinced. She knows for a fact that the police are scared of what this gang can do, that's the reason she came to stop them in the first place. "Maybe another ¨vigilante" came to help us" She said in a sarcastic tone.
She took the blue powder, as everything else was way to heavy for her.
"There's a hole in the floor in the next room, maybe if we throw these through it, it will break the guns, scare the shit out of the gang, and hopefully throw scrap everywhere that could possibly knock out some of them" Lynette said, sensing the hole in a room to their right that had a hole on the floor wide enough for the crates, and it was also conveniently place directly above the gang.
She lifted one of the crates with telekinesis and didn't even wait for the woman's approval for the plan.
Still, the presence was drawing near, who could it be?

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
"But it's so pretty." Bliss rotated the gem in her hand before reluctantly tossing the two gems back into the cache. "More kindling for the fire I guess." She guessed right, but Bliss wanted to make one more adjustment to the plan. "I'm not pushing this stuff over the edge into the room below. I'm making my own hole." Pulling up the supports from the floor, the second floor turned into more of a loft. The supply cache plummeted down towards the unsuspecting goons making up the enforcers of this cartel. "Your turn."
Before the action could materialize the actual destruction of the crates, Bliss would try and grab the gems she coveted and levitate them back to herself, stealing some potential firepower, but granting herself some well deserved heirlooms from this whole debacle. In her covetous grasp, Bliss failed to take into account the awareness she should keep open for those around her coming through walls. But, instead, Bliss counted her chips out herself while Lynette put the finishing touches on step 2 of a plan well from over.

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
Lynette rolled her eyes at Bliss's greed and kicked down a hole in the ground below the crate with her telekinesis, sending the cache plummeting to it's destruction and probably the death of some guards.
When she heard the guards scream in pain and surprise, she quickly jumped down and created a shockwave around her to send the remaining standing guards to the ground and walls.
The next thing she did was levitate every weapon in the area (except her sword) and crush them until almost nothing remained. Lynette sensed the incoming figure stop and turn around, and a worry was lifted of her chest.
She walked towards a man, the man who was giving the orders before, and lifted him up, and once again, held her sword next to his throat.
"So, question number one, who is your employer?" When the man didn't answer, she pressed her sword against his throat "Second question, who is S.J?" She asked, raising her sword and aiming it at his head "Third and final question, why aren't you answering?"
When her sword flew towards his forehead, he opened his mouth, words didn't come out, but what she saw inside was something horrible, for a tongue he did not have.
Lynette's eyes widened as she sensed this, she dropped the man forcefully and turned around.
Only to see that everyone stood up, and had handguns (probably hidden) aimed straight at her.

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
From the vantage point Bliss kept, everything seemed up to speed. While Lynette took care of the under levels, Bliss continued to investigate the level just above her. More caches? More goons? Possible information on who ran this place? No to all of the above, but Bliss made sure to keep an ear on to what went on beneath her- or at least tried to as she moved through the empty rooms of the upper level. Shouting out an interrogation sounded just about what Bliss would expect, but no response ever came back. A little odd, but with such a harsh tone, Lynette did not really possess a people person personality with goons. Not a strike against character at all really, but a softer hand could probably- everything went quiet below. "Probably not good."
Acting on her insight, Bliss moved back to the hole she made. By the time she arrived the situation looked like it took a turn for the worse. Everyone around the room looked to be aiming weapons towards Lynette, the same Lynette who seemed unnerved by something in the man she moments ago interrogated. Nothing in the upstairs rooms still looked like they could be shoved down into the room below, but Bliss did still happen to keep those two jewels she stole. Like a cat with a shiny object, Bliss watched as the gems began to cloud her thoughts. Did it come from avarice or did these gems possess something- something inside of her.
While Bliss waited, she began formulating an idea. Let them take Lynette. If she acted now, she might save Lynette from capture, but she would only scratch the surface. If she could follow down where the group really functioned, then the source could be rooted out for good. Bliss still gazed at the gem as she gave it more thought. Did this plan really work out in her mind- or did she just not want to destroy the gem?

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
The thugs gestured her to drop her sword, she obliged. Lynette sensed Bliss standing above one of the holes, looking down on her while greedily fondling the two cristals. She scowled and was tempted to scream "Bitch!" but realised that could get them both in more trouble than it was worth.
When the thugs surrounded her, she crossed her arms behind her and they tied her hands together and pushed her to the entrance.
They walked for almost an hour until they reached a warehouse, when they entered the building, a man (with a tongue!) awaited her. The thugs forced her into a chair in front of the man, who was standing with a stick in hand, and tied her in it.
The man asked questions, most of them that Lynette answered rudely and once spat on the man, and recieved a hit everytime she opened her mouth.
"Why were ya there?! This will cost me some money, ya know! Speak, bitch!" He said, in his horrible gangsta accent. "You know, good sir, I don't give a shit, and clearly, you don't give a shit about telekinesis" She said, a sound was heard, and when it came closer, Lynette's sword flew to the air and stabbed the man beetween the eyes. She made a telekinetic blast on her hands, and broke the chair and binding, before the goons could react, she swung her sword out of the head of the supposed leader and sliced the guns of the thugs.
She made her sword return and sent out a shockwave in the direction of the goons and knocked them out almost instantly.

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
If Bliss kept any misgivings to the plan she put into action through inactivity, she could bury them deep within her own heart. Ducking away into the corners of the room she hid in, the distinct sound of duct tape ripping echoed out in the room beneath her. Luckily the attention focused on the prisoner walking out of the room with her hands bound. With a free reign to leave the building through the fire escape, Bliss moved with just enough quickness to watch the gang force Lynette into the alleys as they guarded her.
Moving along the rooftops provided Bliss with enough cover to remain unseen while also granted her a path over the obstacles of the urban landscape. Very little talking happened as Bliss trailed the group, most likely they gagged Lynette along the way. It made things more difficult for Bliss. Not only did she need a little more sound to follow, it also made it so she needed to make less sound as she continued to move. Trailing for an hour left Bliss with nothing to do except plan- and listen. Listening to the gem stayed in her mind. What did she have to gain from helping Lynette escape?
Bliss continued to think through her struggles. A strong will kept her inline and on track. But, it did little to help her when a gun pressed against the back of her head. A question of challenge came against her ear next. The voice of a young woman shouted a demand. Lie. The gem spoke. Lying is power. "I'm here to question the woman you captured." A held telekinetic power pressed against the firing mechanism to keep the gun from discharging.
"No one said anything about-"
Bliss spun back and knocked the gun from her assailant's hand. A quick headbutt knocked the girl to the ground and a push of force threw the gun towards the end of the rooftop. An unconscious sentry worked for Bliss since she had nothing to tie her up with. Once the dirty business of dealing with her attacker came to an end, Bliss noticed she could no longer find the group. A scramble of emotions shot up in Bliss, but her resolve told her to push towards the warehouse. These guys ran one, no reason they wouldn't run a second.
Sneaking in through the same second floor entry as she did in the first storehouse, Bliss started to try and make her way to the first floor. She could finally hear the voice coming from Lynette again. Before she could make her way to the first floor, the sound of an explosion took the room. Bodies slammed into the side of the wall, ringing all the way through the stairwell Bliss descended. All in all, if Lynette saved herself, it left Bliss with a serious quandary. Should she make sure Lynette was okay? If she stayed hidden, she could walk away with the gems. Everything seemed good enough in there. No sounds of blasts ringing out. No sounds of goons talking among themselves. Yeah, Bliss took her hand off the door knob and looked back up the stairs.
Then she heard something still in the warehouse. Something sinister.

Re: Chasing in the Rooftops (FINISHED)
Lynette began walking towards Bliss's position, then sensed a prescence behind her, but it was already too late, a man punched her so hard, that she was thrown to a door, more specifically, the door Bliss was near to. She cracked her eyes open and saw a man, almost twice her size and very burly, walking towards her. She grabbed her sword, took the blade out and took aim, she shot him in the chest, but the bullet just bounced off of him and got stuck in the wall next to her.
Lynette stood up and walked towards the man, albeit weakly, and sent a shockwave his way, he was flinged, but he stood firm and got on his feet rather quickly. She got her act together and stood firm as well, recovering quite quickly from the previous hit and placed the blade back into the hilt and threw it right into the man's arm, at least the force she threw it with was enough to stab him. But he just took it right off and threw it to the ground. He grabbed her by the neck and threw her to the ground, and kept moving towards Bliss's position.
