The Looks

Shinji is a noticeable young man standing shorter than the average height at five foot seven with bright and obviously dyed blonde hair, often it is messily spiked backwards without the use of gel giving it a slight wispy look one could say. His face somewhat unpleasant to look at as his expression often seems bored or upset though it isn't on purpose Shinji just finds them to be the most natural expressions making him difficult to read, his face fairly smooth but given time it can gain a mild bit of scruff though Griffith has found that a full beard is nearly impossible for himself. While shorter than average Shinji does tend to be on the built side of physicality, his entire body isn't made of muscle like some unnatural monster but he is quite toned even with his lean form often more noticeable without his clothing than with it, with his stature wearing certain clothing makes him seem small perhaps even weak to others.

The Legacy

Personality: Shinji is an ambiguous man, where most people see black and white he sees grey, there are some things that are on one side of the scale but the majority of things that occur are in the middle because he sees everything and everyone as different. He is very reasonable in most situations to the point where some believe that something is wrong with him, the reason being is that Shinji does not feel emotions as strongly as others do, he enjoys things, he hates things, he loves his family but he is not normally overwhelmed by his emotions opting to look at things from a logical stand point rather than an emotional one. While Shinji does try to see things from every perspective he is not sympathetic to someone whose perspective is in direct conflict with his own, for example if Shinji is attempting to protect someone and some else tries to kill them he will do everything within his power to stop the killer even if the killer feels they are justified.

Shinji's humor can be dark even offensive to some depending on how quick they are to take offense, often dry and sarcastic though not intentionally hurtful as he doesn't enjoy hurting others at least not emotionally. Shinji tends to hold others at arm's length not opening up to them very easily, this some macho man I don't need help from anyone kind of attitude for him, in Shinji's mind he knows exactly what the limit is for the emotional weight upon his shoulders but for others it's a crap shoot in the dark and perhaps he'll break them with the extra weight of his problem so instead he shoulders their problems rather than creating more. Often an advice giver and emotional go to guy because he isn't judgmental towards anyone, often making friends very easily he finds himself to be a decent guy while others might tell him he is good or great so one could also consider him humble, all in all Shinji is easy to get along with if you are willing to accept him for who he is rather than trying to make him someone else.

Within there is a savageness that Shinji cannot explain or at least doesn't want to rationalize, Shinji was never abused as a child, he never had some childhood bully that tormented him yet Shinji found himself enjoying fighting. When fighting Shinji loses himself to the feeling the fight, the pain he causes the opponent not affecting him in the slightest, being hit by the opponent, it's a savage almost primal feeling of trying to prove which of them is the strongest even though he knows that being the strongest doesn't always matter. Even when his life is on the line he doesn't care about anything else but the thrill of knowing whether or not he will win the fight, this often clouds his judgement as even with an opponent that may clearly be stronger, faster, more experienced Griffith finds himself wishing to test himself against them to see how far his strength truly goes.

History: Shinji was born to a middle class family, he was the middle child having an older brother and a younger sister both of which he cares for deeply, his time as a child was mostly unremarkable similar to most children although he learned very early on that he thought very differently from everyone else. He found himself more distanced from the emotional side of things where as his family and friends, he thought of things in the more logical sense often making others mistake him for a cold hearted person which he really isn't. As he got older this transferred well into his interest in fighting which began after his first fight, Shinji was never and still isn't an overly violent person that bullies people or enjoys causing pain, he found himself attracted to the primal desire to find out who was stronger when he fights people. Shinji didn't become a hoodlum or go around picking fights with people he did however give off an attitude that would make others dislike him though resulting in conflict, always he would let them strike first thus he could claim that it was self defense though after so many times people knew that it was just a cover so his parents got him into karate to harness the urges within him.

For a couple of years this worked but Shinji's desires to truly fight were not satisfied with this, he switched from karate to MMA soon enough finding the rules to be more in line with what he wanted, he became an amateur fighter with an impressive record. This record drew in the representatives of the professional level of MMA and they told him they wanted him for his record but only if he could win his next fight, during the next fight Shinji was dominating the first two rounds and it looked like he wouldn't have much trouble in the third round of the fight. In the third round Shinji went in for a flying knee, the arena underneath him breaking as he landed throwing him off balance, his opponent and the audience did not realize this so the fight continued and the blow was a solid right handed haymaker that caught him on the temple. Shinji stumbled towards the edge of the ring and fell back towards the ropes, his body slipped through the ropes and he fell directly onto his head putting him in a catatonic state for the next six months.

Powers

Power 1: After a nasty blow to the back of his head Shinji was put into a coma, in this coma Griffith learned about his past lives, he believed this to simply be a dream that he lived through when he was in the coma but after some time he realized that from those 'dreams' he could gain skills. For example if in one past life he was a master blacksmith Shinji could use those skills as he brings the consciousness of the blacksmith into his, the same could be said for any of the past lives that he has lived, the result gives him a vast array of knowledge and skills that he can call upon at will. Shinji does not simply just learn these things though, it is him pulling the consciousness of his past life into his own basically two people inhabiting one body but the former life has no knowledge of this as it believes Shinji is the proper host body which technically it is but from a different time.

Weakness(es)

Weakness 1: Shinji's ability is not all powerful and it certainly does not make him all knowing by any stretch, he cannot use an unlimited amount of skills at once because while Griffith may have the ability to call upon the knowledge of pat lives he himself is still a normal human with a normal brain. His ability allows him to bring the consciousness of his past life into his current mind meaning that he has the knowledge and skills because in a sense he is literally becoming that person, this results in a power struggle for control of the brain with the past lives consciousness unknowingly trying to reassert itself as it believes Shinji's body to be it's proper host because technically it is. Because of this power struggle Shinji can only use three of the past lives at once and even that is quite dangerous, at three or more plus his own consciousness his mind begins to overheat in simple terms breaking down which in turn causes harm to his body as well, it starts with a nosebleed (five posts), then senses becoming scrambled (six posts), then loss of equilibrium (seven posts), any further than that and Shinji will die or at least it is assumed so because he had never tested this for fear of death.
