Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

The Legacy |
Personality: Once upon a time, Beverly was little more than an attention seeking little girl, desperately campaigning for daddy's approval. She tried for as long as she could to mirror her father's intelligence and be like him. She'd often make up for this neglect with the veil of a superiority complex, complete with bragging and snide remarks. However, as her old mentor once told her, "Being a superhero has a funny way of forcing you to grow up." She outgrew her need for attention and vindication, soon coming into her own under the tutelage of her mentor, The American. While still quick witted and snarky, Beverly has shed her superior mindset. She does what she does now, not because she craves the attention, but because she feels that it is a worthwhile use of her gifts to do some good "her way," thus leading to a sort of self defined place in the world where she feels she belongs. That said, Beverly has been deprived of most of her childhood, and often struggles to be "normal." She is rather awkward in mundane settings and is most at home when tinkering or fending off evil. History: Beverly originally discovered her future would-be mentor's secret identity when she was only thirteen. Rather than play extortionist, she blackmailed him into allowing her to help him under the self-created alias of "White Star." Originally this led to a rocky partnership. However, as time went on, Beverly began to come into her own as a true, blue hero. After five years of activity, Beverly decided on a very difficult course of action. She moved away for college, adopting the new alias of Liberty in her new town to establish a more personal, solo identity, allowing the American's super powered niece to take up her old mantle as White Star. Liberty has thusly been active in her city for a full year. Since her debut, the crime rate has been dented and police corruption has receded significantly due to her genius crime fighting tactics and detective work. She's weeded out a handful of dangerous criminal kingpins and dirty cops in her year of service to the city. |
The Powers and Weaknesses |
(All characters can be as powerful as they want, as long as they are balanced with proper weaknesses.) Powers Power 1: Eidetic Memory While not technically a superhuman ability, Beverly's a unique case in that her Eidetic Memory is freakishly powerful, allowing her to remember and recall vast amounts of incredibly complex information with minimal degrees of experience, down to the most minute detail. This allows her to put into practice virtually anything she learns almost immediately, includes her scientific knowledge, omni-lingualism, adoptive muscle memory, and her skills of photographic deduction. Weakness(es) Weakness 1: Tremors Having such a powerful mind isn't all good. Whatever the cause of Beverly's abilities, it causes headaches, which start out small but get progressively worse as her medication wears off. These "Tremors," as she refers to them, can make concentration nearly impossible and can be debilitating. She keeps her headache medicine in a pouch on her belt. They generally last about 8 hours, so she has to take three a day. RP Mechanics RP Mechanic(s): Items/Minions Liberty's Gauntlets Liberty's go-to means of dishing out justice on the streets are her wits, her fighting prowess, and her arsenal. And chief among the tools of that arsenal are the her gauntlets. Her gauntlets come complete with two incredibly useful features. The Star Sparks: A modification on the design she'd crafted when she was The American's sidekick, her gauntlets can produce Plasma for a variety of effects, including rays, beams, blasts, and volatile constructs. She can also simply "zap" people, which is the equivalent of a violent static shock that stuns. The Star Strikers: The Strikers are a modification in the gauntlets that allow them to build up kinetic energy and harness it to increase striking power. With this, Liberty is able to throw a punch with three tons of force. Limitation(s) Both key features of Beverly's gauntlets (I say "key" because they also possess a data interface) are hindered by a few minor setbacks. The Star Sparks require disposable "Clips" that Beverly attaches to the underside of the gauntlets. When the charge of these clips dies, they must be replaced. Beverly's belt only has room for ten clips. The clips have a character that generally can last for about four hours and that charge begins to deplete as soon as they are attached to the gauntlets. The one saving grace is that using the Star Sparks doesn't deplete the charge any faster. As for the Star Strikers, they do not increase Liberty's actual strength, only her striking power. They will not allow her to lift or push objects too heavy for her. Furthermore, this enhancement is not constant. It needs to be activated. The striking power boost is only active for about thirty seconds before it automatically shuts off and requires about the same amount of time to cool down. Shooting Stars Liberty's belt holds a pack full of her "Shooting Stars," which are simply throwing stars. However, they do possess a feature that allows them to give off electrostatic disturbance to disrupt electronics. Limitation Aside from requiring Liberty's aim be strong? This may not work on more powerful electronic devices. The Racer Liberty's trusty bike is fully customized and modified by her. This cycle can be summoned remotely with the press of a button on Liberty's belt. As such, it has an auto-drive feature that allows it to navigate through traffic and the like on its own. As a security mechanism to prevent joy riders and snoops, it's protected by a powerful electrical field, active when Liberty leaves the bike alone and can only be deactivated by a button on her belt. Limitation It does still need gas and regular vehicular maintenance. It isn't armored and isn't the Bat Mobile. Physical Priority (You are to put these physical attributes in order from 1 to 4. 1 is the highest priority, 4 is the lowest.) 1 Reaction 2 Agility 3 Endurance 4 Strength |
