The Legacy

History: Elaine grew up in Montana, the daughter to a line of Filipino immigrants tracing back to the turn of the century. The great vicinity of the range of land gave her years of adventure through her early years. She worked as a farm hand along with her father through her middle teens and grew fond of the Western legend. With a very small Filipino community present Elaine turned to the lore of anime to connect with her Eastern roots. As with anyone who bases their knowledge of the East on anime, she knew relatively nothing of the East. But that surplus of ignorance never stopped her from putting that knowledge into abundant action.

Her father taught her how to shoot on hunting trips, as well as how to maintain and modify weapons. She carried these practices with her through life and used them to further her wanderlust and thrill for adventure.

Her grandmother stepped in to put a stop to the reign of pop culture in her life by teaching her a practicing of Animism. She taught Elaine all the ways of the ancestral shamans, and Elaine put them to good use. Her grandmother taught her of the malignant spirits that arise when someone dies a violent death, and taught her how to battle against evil spirits. Of course even learning about the real lore of her heritage would never take away what she learned from Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo.

She made her way out of Montana in search of the wild, carefree lifestyle. A cowgirl with delusions of grandeur who doubles as a shaman. Wherever the winds take her she will undoubtedly make a name for herself.

She went to Mexico once. And beat up Elena Marie another time. Now she has joined an occult detective agency investigating the paranormal.

From an early age, Elaine could move through small fabrics of space. Within the blink of an eye, Elaine move from one point to another within fifteen feet. While it looks like she merely vanished into thin air, she actual uses a dimensional shift into a realm occupied by the forces of nature. Passage of time relevant to this dimension moves much faster, giving the illusion of Elaine's amazing shadow jump.
