Shapeshifter meets the man from the stars.. (Mal'keru Rin.)

A week had passed since the passing of Bellas brother. Reports of a super cancer were rising up and about but it wasn't too major at the time. Bella on the other hand was sitting down under a bridge, slightly sobbing. It was a rainy day in New York or New New York as she liked to call it. She was wet from the rain and still in a down mood. Bella had tried to wipe the memories of her brother away like the rain washed away most things but whenever she tried she was always met with the horrible memory of his corpse and her thoughts on what she would do to the man that did it to him. He took her brother and basically her entire life away because he wanted experiments. All his crap about being with others like her. Bella laughed at herself for believing it when she first heard it, now all she wanted to do was rip the man limb from limb. But that was in the future, right now Bella was cold and wet and wished that she wore a little more than a black tank top and ripped jeans as they did not do much to keep the cold out.

Soon the rain died down and she left her humble abode to walk aimlessly through the streets of New York. Entering buildings and just doing something that took her mind of other things. Maybe she could meet people like Nick, other metahumans that are good. One building she entered was quite interesting, interesting that it had a lot of walls and was abandoned.  "Oh. I'm gonna have fun."

"Pathetic. Every one of you." Mal'keru spit out as he held a man in the air by the throat, before tossing him to the side, sending him sliding into a wall. One month ago Mal'keru had crash landed on this planet, and so far, he had been less than impressed. Their technology was ages behind his home planets, their space ships not even capable of bending the wall between normal space, and hyper space yet. Laughing slightly to himself, he ran a hand through his dark crimson hair, his yellow eyes scanning the room. Frightened humans, man, women, children, pressed themselves tightly against the walls, getting as far away from the red skinned alien as they could. With his red skin, hard facial ridges, and yellow, cat like eyes, he was a frightening site to be sure.

"Is there no one left to challenge me?!" He yelled out, slamming both of his hands forward, the doors to the room off of it's hinges, and sending them careening into the street outside. Malk'eru's race, although very spiritual, was also a warrior race. Seeking out challenges were how they bettered themselves both as an individual, and as a race. Lately he had heard of a warrior clan that the earth possesed called 'S.W.A.T', which were protectors of the humans in extreme situations. So, Mal'keru had given them a extreme situation. He stepped over several dead bodies as he walked into the outside light, a small smile drawing onto his face at the sight of men, guns drawn, aimed at him. They wore black vest, with the name of their clan on the chest, which caused Malk'eru to reach for one of the handles that were clipped to his belt. They looked like sword handles, but thicker, more intricate, and lacking a cross guard.

"S.W.A.T! Lay down your weapons, and put your hands behind your head freak!" A man yelled out from behind the sights of his gun, which only made the red skinned warrior laugh. A sickening, blood curtling laugh, deep from within his chest. "OPEN FIRE!" The man ordered, which only made the alien even happier. With a flick of his wrist, his handle seemed to ignite, a long sword length, red blade appearing from within thin air with a soft humming noise.

Fifteen minutes later, two squads of S.W.A.T and several dozen police later, Mal'keru sat bored on a mound of bodies, looking out at the streets of New York, and their horrified expressions. Was there no one who would challenge him? The noise had been loud, surely someone would come to challenge the alien.

Bella was about to shapeshift into her form and smash some pillars until her fist started to hurt. That was one of the many ways to shut out the bad thoughts of her mind and she would have, if not had been for the gunshots that ringed out from across the street. Bella thought, gang war, meta fight, meta killing humans. So many possibilities that she had to go see for herself. She turned to walk out the way she came before turning to the cement pillars. "You survived today." She called out for them even doe it made no difference. They didn't have feelings, it just made her feel better. After exiting the building she moved towards where she had heard the gunshots and saw that several civilians had grouped up to see what was happening yet it was clear that the children were being removed from the area.

She moved passed the mass hoard of watching people. She always found this stupid but the human nature was like that, they would not pass to see a dead body, there were probably some people who were recording this, some who had already done so. This disgusted Bella but they weren't the target. it was the thing that made them surround the area. After getting past the crowd of bystanders she now stood between a crowd of dogs waiting for more and a red humanoid alien of the sorts. She stared him up and down and then looked at the pile of bodies he sat atop like a king. He was interesting. She cleared her throat before addressing him. "So I guess you're the one that killed everyone here?" She called out to him as she placed a hand her her hip. Waiting to see what he would do.

"Hmmm?" Mal'keru hummed at the girl, raising an eyebrow at her. "What's it matter to you, little girl?" He asked, quickly deeming her unworthy of a fight. He stood from his throne of death and decay, and rose to his feet, stretching out his arms, his form drawing tight against his lean muscle, a boon from years of swordplay and training. For a moment, he considered killing the girl, hanging her head from the nearby assault vehicles as a warning for weaklings not to waste his time, but, something intrigued him.

The girl stood 'tall' against him, she did not shrug, stutter, or seemingly shirk away with fear. She seemed confident in herself, which was surprising. Most humans ran at the mere sight of him, let alone the sight of him atop a pile of bodies, his black tunic splattered red with their blood. He drew one of his hilts from his belt, igniting the blade, a humming noise ringing out all around him. He began to slowly, methodically, pace back and forth, his yellow eyes watching the girl carefully.

"I guess it matters not." He finally said, cocking his head to the side. "I'm going to just kill you anyway." throwing his hand out, palm up, he sent a wave of force towards the girl, aiming to knock her backwards, before charging forward, throwing out a vicious slash with his sword.

Bella watched him walk down the pile of corpse's with pride, She then studied his body. He was toned and the sword gave her reason to why that was such, his eyes a nice looking yellow. "Well you effortlessly slaughtered all these people and my mood just begs me to punch something so I think you will do." She explained to the man but then is plam extended and at first she was confused until she felt a force send her reeling back. Quickly she used the momentum to get herself into a roll instead of hitting the ground like the alien may have expected and she again rolled to the right to try and avoid the blade.

As soon as she balanced herself from the second roll she focused her mind and like that a large silverback gorilla stood in her place (1+ strength/ 5+ durability.) She didn't like the looks of the blade and decided the defence was key. Hoping he was unsettled by the sudden transformation, she charged at him for a right hook for his face, their close distance and her large size helping her to get in quickly.

"Tsk" Mal'keru hissed, his blade sliding right past the girl. As she transformed, and came charging at him, Mal'keru bent his legs, and twist his body, before leaping into the air, performing a b-flip over the girls wide, undisciplined strike. Perhaps on earth, something like this was strange, but to a warrior priest who could shoot lightning from the tips of his fingers, a transformation like that was nothing to unsteady him. As he continued his arc over the strike, he called upon the forces he controlled to manipulate the handle of his second, blade, calling it into his hand, before quickly igniting it as he landed.

"You're a odd little creature, aren't you?" He asked, staring the girl down, before charging forward. Flipping a blade into a reverse grip, he feinted a strike at the 'girl's' head, before quickly bringing his second blade in a horizontal arc towards her mid section. As he performed this maneuver, his blades seemed to hum with a life of their own, causing a wicked smile to grow on Mal'keru's face.

She pounded her chest to the swordsman movement but was curious to his abilities to grab objects and push them with a sort of force. She would have laughed to him calling her an odd little creature as she could get much bigger. "This..isn't..even my.. strongest." She answered as he charged, an attack at her head with a twin blade. She was suspicious but decided to play coy.

A arm reached to cover her head to stop a vertical attacked before she herself charged at the man again, this time swinging her other arm horizontal for his mid, if need be this was going to be an waist for a waist.

Mal'keru smirked at the idiocy of the girl, going for a counter strike, before even dodging or block his initial one. As his blade dug into the soft, furry flesh of her transformation, he released his grip on his blade, moving both hands to his free handle. Quickly turning his body, he drove his sword point first into the massive gorilla arm swinging towards him. As the blade bit in, he was forced to slide back from the power of the strike, gritting his teeth and digging his feet to keep himself from being knocked off of his feet. He grunted, as he quickly found himself being overpowered by the sheer force the girl  could throw around, forcing him to release his blade, and roll under the strike, before performing a wide back flip to escape from the girl's reach.

Mal'keru reached out, pulling the blades from the girl to his hands, before robbing the blades of life, their energy receding into his hilts. Placing the handles on his belt, time slowed as he quickly looked around the battle field, and saw his opportunity. On a building behind them, precariously placed, was a group of cinder blocks, about six stories up.

"Seems you have a choice." He said, reaching forward with both hands, "Either take this chance to attack me, or save the people watching us fight, your choice." With that, he pulled down, causing the cinder blocks to begin their rapid, destructive, deadly descent towards a small group of children, who did not possess the survival instinct to move from their impending doom, fear guiding their movements, or lack there of.

They connected with each other and thankfully she went for the extra defence as the blade didn't get far or didn't do much but it sure as hell left a burning sensation in her. She actually didn't mind the sensation, it was better than her fist hurting from punching concrete. She turned to him ready to strike until he gave her the choice. She gave him a pretty much death stare. "Coward." She rasped out as she ran towards the children, remembering why she hated it whenever they gathered around to allow themselves death but these were kids brought along by their parents. She was bigger than all the kids and she couldn't hold all of them without crushing their small bodies so she did the suicidal thing and just covered them. Bella was large enough that they were all covered and soon the cinder blocks began to hit her back. At first it mildly stung but after that it grew to a throbbing pain which was finally ended with a cinder block to the head.

Sure that they stopped, she backed off rather wobbly away from the kids as the parents made a mad dash to get their kids and escape. Heck after that most of them were leaving and Bella felt like doing this also but also felt like hitting this guy some more.
