Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

John Cross
"When y've been t' hell and back, this ol' world doesn't seem so bad."
Basic Biography |
Real Name: John Cross Renegade/Hero/Villain Name: doesn't use one Title: The Union Jack's Finest. Alignment: Lawful Neutral Age: 32 Gender: Male Race: British Hair: Blond Eyes: Blue Height: 6'0" Weight: 175 Blood type: O |
The Looks |
|
The Legacy |
Personality: A pessimist, John always has something to complain about. Despite his grim outlook, he has a dark sense of humor that show itself occasionally. History: "Alright, so, uh, I'm John Cross. I'm talking into this thing because chief wants my history and what-have-you. So, I'll start from the very beginning. *sound of cigarette lighting* I never knew m' parents. Cliche, I guess, but it's true. Anyways, I lived in an orphanage for pretty much all of my life. Not one o' them run-down, cruddy ones, this one was... a nice place, y'know? But eventually I grew up, left the place. I signed on with the force- police force, that is- and eventually got moved to the forensics division. That’s when the s*** hit the fan. I think it was the Emmanual case- I got the report if y’want t’see it. We got to the crime scene pretty late, like 11:00 at night. It seemed like a pretty average murder scene- y’know, if you can ever call a murder scene average. So we get to the place, but the weird thing is that the dead guy’s got no stab wounds. Hensen and I, we both notice this. Then some kinda, like glowy skeleton thing, it comes out of the body and touches Hensen. It only touches him, and BOOM! *sound of hands being clapped together* He crumples to the floor. O’course, by now I’m practically s***ing myself wi’ fear. So I whip out my handgun and squeeze off a few rounds into the thing. Somethin’ y’gotta know is that when it killed Hensen, it was’nt just a skeleton, it got like muscles and stuff. The thing musta’ been injured, ‘cause it fled like hell. I got back to the station, and I started talkin’ about what happened. No one believes me, ‘cause o’course it sounds like I been drinking or something, I don’know. But then, you dragged me aside, chief. You said, uh, something about me keepin’ quiet about it. So you brought me to the hidden department, the paranormal one. And y’gave me this recording thing, and told me to tell my life story, so y’could see if I was fit for duty. And, well, that’s all I got.” -Tape recovered from a burned-down residence, believed to have belonged to John Cross before his retirement from the force. Reliable sources say that Cross is selling his services as a paranormal detective for hire. |
The Powers |
Power 1: Spellcasting: (Magic and Spells) As part of his training in the paranormal department, John is able to use a variety of spells to his advantage.
Power 2:Ritual casting: John can cast spells with ~R~ in the description as rituals, boosting their power by one spell level. Casting the spell as a ritual takes two posts of prep time, and brings the spell’s cooldown to that of whatever level it was raised to. Power 3:Spirit sight: John is able to see the souls of the departed. This ability also has a slight effect on invisiblity (with permission); John would see them as a barely visible distortion in the air, with the distortion becoming more distinct depending on how fast the invisible person moves. Only works on magic-based invisibility. (1 ability) Grid Intelligence: 4 Occult: 5 Strength: 2 Speed: 2 Durability: 2 Ability: 1 Fighting Skills: 3 Magic: 5 Spells: 6 Flight: 0 Wealth: 1 |

Re: John Cross
You've used 31 points and a starter character is only allowed 30 so you'll need to change some stats.
Also, for power 3 and 4 you would need 2 points in ability as they are counted as 'Enhanced Senses' but they can be grouped together.
This invisibility seeing will also have to be permission based.
Also, the one point in ability that you do have, what is that for?

Took a point from durability, bringing his total points down to 30.
Removed the power 'Arcane Danger Sense' entirely.
Spirit Sight's invisiblity seeing component is now permission based.

Re: John Cross
I don't recommend 4 INT and 5 OCC, as you have to pay for both, whereas with just 5 OCC you also get 3 INT. You can keep it if you so wish, just a suggestion.

Re: John Cross
Thank you for the suggestion, but I'd like to keep him with 4 INT, as I don't know where I'd put the leftover points.

Re: John Cross
Four intelligence would also cover 3 OCC, but if you wish to keep it like this it's fine.
Also, I like the idea of prep time for a ritual, though the internal heat thing would be permission based; simply raising the temperature AROUND them would not be, however. Either way would work.

Creeping Burns now affects the temperature in an area, OR the internal temp. of another character with permission.
