Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Singularities suck [Open to 1 other person]
A strange moniker had been entering the peripherals of the one known as Agent Nemesis as of late, about a strange figure that he had come to know only as The Mistress, though as to why the name he could not know. All Joshua knew as of now was that they were an enigmatic figure, masks with followers that wore masks as well. As far as their strange activities went, stealing nondescript objects from various places and leaving small white cards with The Mistress inscribed upon them in scrawling text. Sighitngs of the individual had been made, but there had never been a visual on the face, and the only distinctive features was firey red hair and a Victorian esque style as far as dress went. All in all it was something that caught his interest, so that was why he had chosen them as his current target of interest.
Of course there were many other metahumans that a high ranked agent of The Agency could go after, yet in the end it was this target that he chose. Flipping through the small manila folder, Joshua hummed softly to himself and ran a fingertip along a small amount of scruffy stubble that had been forming along his jawline, reclining in his seat and letting the artificial lamp light wash over him. While the reports were scattered, he could trace most of them back to one city in particular, Los Angeles California. To this end he would continue to follow them for around two weeks now, each crime taken into consideration and not making a real move until a body count had begun. It started with one, and by the end of that observation week he was left with five bodies, and with a small amount of information.
Only when he was sure that he had managed to track down the group’s activities, and understood everything that they were doing he would move, and then he would. Tongue dancing over his lips, Joshua let the file close before falling against the desk standing to his feet, he would adjust the leather jacket, then running fingers over his chair and yawning softly. Typically when dealing with important matters like this, he found it important to do a large amount of all nighters, but luckily he found himself with an impressive amount of stamina, so that was no real problem. Boots would make dull thudding sounds against the floor of his office as he prepared to gear up, gathering up the typical agency gear, uniforms and weapons, taking all of them before stepping out. A transport had already been prepped and with that he was off, not arriving in Los Angeles until a few hours later.
Stepping out it was already night time, and the sky was a starless dome. Smoke would trail much like a ghost from the cigarette clenched between his lips, drawing in a small drag as the end would glow like a burning ember. More smoke would curl from the tip, then fading away. From there he would have to advance on the proposed next spot that the “fancy terrorists" would be striking. So he would take his little vehicle, something not too obvious but not quite unimpressive, and find himself riving along. The likely target was a rather high profile party being thrown by a person known as Ryan Masters. Typically in Canada but something had drawn his interest in the city, part co hosted by a person known as Nolan Caster. It was a building rather well decorated that this would be happening, nemesis sitting outside of it while people went about their party business within.
It was expected to be one of those affairs where people were fancily dressed, and those were not the males scene. Travis Masters on the other hand was just standing there, arms crossed over his chest and sighing annoyed to himself, sipping on a drink as the music would continue to pour through the place softly. His father was talking with the nigmatic Nolan Caster, it was all boring for him but he hoped that would not be the case for long.

Re: Singularities suck [Open to 1 other person]
Travis Masters. An enigmatic individual to say the least. Dissonance had recently encountered the man and although it had been brief there had seemed to be potential locked inside of him, but it was the man himself that had been troubling. He claimed to be something more than human and yet not Meta-human. Dissonance had yet to discover whether this was simply him rejecting his Meta-humanity or whether he indeed was some new form of advanced Homo-Sapien. The latter of which could be very interesting provided it was handled and supervised well. If there was indeed a way to raise humanity out of it’s current pathetic state Dissonance would want to be informed and involved on the situation. Of course Meta-human’s would always be superior, their powers were god-given and naturally designed to be more advanced than anything that could be bottled. However, he would remain involved to see how well he could utilise these advanced human’s as if possible they would make worthy soldiers. Yet on the other side he would want to keep informed to ensure that there was no way that they could be built to overrule Meta-humanity’s eventual reign, he would like to ensure that he knew their weakness, should he find a time where they chose to oppose him.
Tonight he was a guest at a party co-hosted by an individual named Nolan Caster, whom Dissonance did not know too much about, yet for him that was not an issue as that was not why he was here. The other host was Ryan Masters, a relation of Travis and presumably involved in the mystery behind the Masters family. The real reason he was there was mainly reconnaissance, checking out Travis and this Ryan and the company that they kept themselves in. He also wanted to try and get a basic knowledge of the family and their behaviours as he believe it could provide crucial to his understanding of everything. He stood on a rooftop not too far from the whole event, not being able to see much as if he got close enough for that he would probably be spotted. However, he could listen to every conversation if he tried and had picked out the voices of his targets to make sure that he was informed of everything. So far there had been nothing of real interest revealed, some small talk and the occasional bad joke around the party. It was quite uneventful yet he stood vigilant listening in, hoping that eventually something of use would present itself.

The party would go on for a time as it was expected, people being conversational and just talking about their pointless business ventures, as well as making a few bad jokes that mostly bored Travis Masters of all people. Not that he would complain, it was afterall expected that he attend these events without a problem and he did so with a certain admirable gusto, arms crossed and eyes darting about curiously. His interest however was upon the person known as Nolan Caster and if there was more to him than met the eye, and his son who was mostly hovering about the party with as much interest as Travis, arms crossed over his chest and dressed in a rather sharp suit. One thing that he could say was that they had similar tastes in formal wear. He had EVE doing the usual information check on people he looked upon, remembering that having an Ai that was connected to his brain had perks that he had never thought about before.
He didn’t have to speak for it to know what to do, and in a place like this that was a pretty amazing bit of technology. Parallel processing helped, as he did not have to stop whatever he was doing to think over any information he was processing, so he could hold a conversation and still keep on with the lovely processing. That may have seemed difficult to the mundane mind, but his was far beyond human levels, thus making almost any sort of thought process possible. He would turn to see his father looking to him for a moment before turning his attention back to Nolan Caster, both chatting with a polite amount of chuckling, allowing him to know they were likely plotting something. Whatever that something was he could not comprehend, but it must have been something amusing to both of them, and that was enough for him to want to know, so he would let EVE do the telepathic snooping while he sipped on his glass of wine. Either this party would speed up soon or he would find himself unbearably bored soon enough.

Nemesis
Joshua watched from his vehicle, not even really seeing anything if importance yet. The place was still in one piece and the people were still laughing it up, or so he imagined from his vehicle with a half smoked cigarette releasing its telltale trail of smoke from the smoldering end. The ashes would eventually find themselves breaking off after having formed a burned recreation of a section of the cigarette, flickering in the mostly dark night as they fell upon the street. All it took was a flick on the butt and they would fall, Joshua drawing in another drag of the cancer stick, feeling the buzz of the nicotine given to him by the thing and blinked a couple of times, just enjoying the feeling. Something told him that he would be waiting a while, though it was likely something would happen soon. Mostly because he was more than certain that his information was not wrong, or his informant would have to deal with the reprocutions.
It was then however that something happened, he was not sure what but a large explosion would ring out from the far back of the mansion, plumes of fire and smoke pouring out from that section, and likely drawing a lot of attention. His eyes widened for a moment as he let the cigarette fall to the ground, opening the car door and preparing himself.

Re: Singularities suck [Open to 1 other person]
As Dissonance watched the evenings events unfold he grew increasingly tiresome of the whole affair. He had hoped there would be at least something interesting for him to hear or discover but alas that had been to no avail. He stood up to leave, ready to write the night off as just a bit of a waste, hoping that there would be something else for him to do. However, when he stood up he became aware of an outside presence at the party. An individual hidden in the darkness by his van, made obvious only by the smouldering end of his cigarette. Dissonance crouched back down to avoid being seen and attempted to listen in to the van and see if he could figure out why such an individual would be waiting there. Perhaps he was another of Travis’s seemingly numerous assistants.
Dissonance focused to listen in on the man, when suddenly he was ripped away from the area by an enormous sound. An explosion had torn out through the mansion at one of the further ends from where Dissonance was stood. Being engaged in his enhanced hearing at the time the blast was incredibly loud; Dissonance feeling incredibly disorientated and having only a high pitched ringing to accompany him at the moment. He watched as plumes of smoke evacuated the building and large devilish licks of flame erupted from the spot. He sat down with his back pressed against a wall attempting to recover his hearing from the blast but was not having much luck. He could see some people rushing away from the mansion whilst others ran towards it daring to be the hero. Scanning the area he could see that Travis was still outside with everybody else, so it was unlikely that he had been the target of the attack. Dissonance hoped this was a good thing. To his knowledge the guests were all human so he had no real interest in intervening, instead opting to stay sat where he was and hopefully manage to recover.

Re: Singularities suck [Open to 1 other person]
Alpha
Travis Masters now fund himself standing outside amongst the sheep that were the parties guests, chattering amongst themselves about things like frightened hens. Overall it was annoying and he would have rather been trying to discover the source of the explosion, which he could not do out here with so many people around him. Dealing with all of the people here personally would have been easy, but then again he was not worrying about something like that. Grey eyes would fix upon the home with smoke and flames pouring out from the back end of it, with his father just standing around with a certain annoyed expression which meant that he was not pleased with the entire situation. Still, he of all people would not likely stop him and he was the only one with their attention really on Travis, so he had EVE broadcast a small signal, one that would for the most part male the people around him forget that he was even there and allow him to make his way into the burning building.
The fire would take a small while to spread to the front, and that would give him plenty of time to investigate, and to see who was causing this as the young male would move through the place as now considerable pace. It was around a large room that seemed to carry a large assortment of strange heirlooms, and amidst them were people dressed in white expressionless masks and dressed in Victorian styled clothing, over half looking to him as he walked in.
Nemesis
Explosions were not the typical MO of his targets, but it was not beyond them to resort to such methods, so he would have to investigate and see what exactly was happening. Of course the agent would not go through the front door, as that would draw too many questions and one thing that Joshua hated was having to deal with questions, mostly from the director seeing as how he could be rather intimidating without even trying. So that would require him to move through a side entrance he had read about in earlier plans, yet with everyone moving around in the front he would find it difficult to do something so easily.
Stepping from his vehicle, and checking on his pistols, Joshua would make his way around the frightened masses, though they seemed to be not focusing on anything other than….the ground actually. So taking advantage of that.. he would make his way around the entire crowd, for some reason finding it easier than initially expected, stepping through the front door and unholstering one of his pistols. This was going to be….fun.
