Milla was out for the night to celebrate the conclusion of her self-taught trigonometry class. What better way to celebrate the accumulation of knowledge than with MORE knowledge? Tonight it was the opening of a new exhibit in a prestegious museum in Chicago, and Milla was there! She couldn't have been more excited to be there to see the great debut apperance of a new piece of ancient jewlery. Of course it was pretty, but Milla didn't care about that! Beauty was nice, but utterly pointless, it was the history behind this little piece that amazed her, and the secret potential it held that made her so enthused about it. Apparently this piece of jewlery was a necklace worn by Helen of Troy, a gift from Mephistopheles before the passing of Faustus... it was the prince of lie's last tormenting of Faust apparently. The Exhibit also had the mirror and Dagger too, but the most "mystical" was this necklace. The trick to this little beautiful gem was that it had the ability to make anyone who wore it, be it man or demon one of the most beautiful figures to behold. Milla had sort of hoped that it looked a little greater than what she had guessed, but that was the trick to it. This necklace was something else to be sure.

The Curator had gathered everyone and revealed the necklace and it was rather simple, yet somehow alluring in it's own right. The necklace was a thin chain with a blue sphere, somewhere between aquamarien and sapphire with a strange glow, and a golden dragon coiled around it. Milla had no idea why, but she felt a shifting beside her and she looked to see. It was a tall paler boy with jet black hair, glasses in a thin grey long-cleeved shirt and black jeans with a backpack sling over his shoulder. He looked rather intently at the necklace as he bit down on his lower lip a little with eyes wide. He brought his hand up and his hand fiddled with something beneath his shirt. Milla being ever curious had half a mind to pul his shirt down to see what he was fiddling with, but no sooner had she thought that had she realized that there was a faint glowing beneath the grey fabric. Milla looked to the necklace on display to realize it was the same color of glow...but when she turned back the male was somehow gone. The security was tight, asit always was on the opening nights and exhibits, but she couldn't help but wonder why. Were they expecting someone or something to break in? "So with that ladies and gentleman, we will now allow people to approach the necklace to see the exhibit closer up. Please be considerate of others who wish to see the necklace." The pudgy little man said before stepping aside and fixing his fogged up glasses. Millennianna didn't approach first, she sat back a little and watched everyone else flood to the gem with cameras and murmurs of how pretty.

Something didn't feel right to Milla, something felt off, strange about it to say the least. It didn't seem to be something one would have thought the great beauty of Troy to have worn. Perhaps it was the draconian figure that coiled around it. She had never seen such a thing, but the gem seemed to glow too. The thing was that it wasn't a cut gem, it was a perfect sphere so the refraction wouldn't assist with the glowing effect as so many diamonds and gems had. There was something definitely weird about this. A firm hand on her shoulder caused her to turn her head and smile. It was just Omega, which helped her relax some. She didn't need to voice any concern to him, he knew her concerns...every one of them, but for now she would have to just sit back and watch as the crowd gravitated towards the other exhibit pieces.

A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken) Empty Re: A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken)

Post by Draiken August 31st 2014, 5:10 pm

This place named Earth was a very different world from the one that Draiken had always known. Although for the most part its landscape was similar to those he had encountered, where it was different was how its inhabitants had used the land. Since being here he had come across many cities, some with buildings as tall as two hundred men and vast expanses of land that were flattened by stone to make way for smaller buildings. He was well aware that there was no quick way for him to find a path to his home, so he had been attempting to acclimatize to the environments that were all around him. Earlier in the day he had arrived at a city that was known as Chicago by its inhabitants, whom he had been walking amongst trying to learn about society. He had discovered they were not unlike his people, although at times they could be brash and rude and they frequently used terms that he did not understand. However, he was very pleased that they spoke the same language as his home world, of course there were many differences He attempted to blend in by having his armor mimic the properties of some of the civilian clothes that he had seen around and it appeared to be working fairly well. On the streets he saw a sign that was advertising a show of some sort in a museum not too far from where he was currently standing. The idea of learning about human history excited him and so he made plans to attend, leaving on a nearby rooftop so as not to draw any unwanted attention.

As night fell he walked towards the doors and realized that the majority of humans were now wearing significantly different clothing to what they had earlier been dressed in; he assumed that these would be their equivalent of ceremonial wear for a prestigious event. His suit again swapped to mimic these qualities clothing him in a tighter fitting dark suit with a very unusual cloth necklace that held tightly to his throat. Walking into the grandiose room he noticed a very different and upbeat mood was present, people drinking and laughing as well as conversing with all manner of other people. Various boards with information on were placed around the room with incredibly consistent writing on them and paintings that were more accurate than any Draiken had ever seen before. The history was very interesting to him, the tales much alike ones his mother had told him when he was incredibly small; tales of betrayal, lies and love. As the attention of the room turned so did his, he joined the large crowd as they attempted to look at the legendary necklace; slowly pushing his way to the front where he could enjoy it’s beauty. Simplistic though it was he could sense the energy that it contained as it was stronger than most other items he had encountered on this planet. A small golden dragon like figure curled around a bright sapphire that pulsed with a sort of magic. Something about the item calmed him, it was reminiscent of his home world and the trinkets that he would view in his father’s trophy room. Even as everybody else moved on to the other area's he remained studying the figure, almost entirely entranced by its subtle glow.

A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken) Empty Re: A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken)

Milennianna took notice of a lot of things, though she was doing her best to listen to the telepathic teachings of her "Big Brother" Omega, who seemed to have a LOT of information on everything in here. She greedily soaked up every piece of information her big brother had on culture and history, as well as any little trivial facts he had. She couldn't help but wonder as to why he had nothing to say ont his necklace though. Was it perhaps something he knew nothing about? No! That was impossible, inconceivable to Milla. Omega and Travis knew EVERYTHING and there wasn't anything anyone could tell her to make be believe otherwise. It was unfortunate that Milla was as naïve  as she was. Then again that's what you could expect from someone who was only a week or so old... not that anyone around could or needed to tell that about her. The Curator was mingling amongst the crowd as attendants who were on overtime were walking people around with little tours, the Security was on constant alert, ensuring no suspicious activity was going on. Milla was so fascinated why these men with stern faces were watching over every one. Were they there to scare people? Finally her fascination had taken her to drastic measures, and she took this moment to use her "telepathy" and link into the mind of a nearby security guard.

    She began to funnel through his thoughts. memories as a child, things he learned in schook, his bullies, his habits, his crushes, first love and his new family. Every joy and sorrow. It was all so strange to see life as if it were on a silver screen. Milla was almost overwhelmed by it all as tears formed in her eyes. Omega put a hand on her shoulder and shook her.  He didn't need to say anything, he knew that she knew the issue. She had little experience with her mana-tethering, though it likely didn't help that it was assumed to be telekinesis, and so she was being taught telekinetic tactics for an ability that was entirely different.  Omega assured her she'd get it one day, but for now she should stick with more inexperienced and simplistic targets, such as children and simpletons. Despite Omega's advice, Milla had actually gotten the information she sought after. These men were "Guards" of sorts, and they watched over the necklace. To Milla this was just as in a fantasy story with eternal sentinals watching over an ancient artifact. Now there just needed to be an Inidana Jones or something to make this a real life fantasy novel! She found herself being tugged on by Omega as they walked a little out of the room some. She stopped a moment, Omega looked back to her, as if looking to see what had caused her to stop. Milla looked about both ways, trying to keep discrete as she brushed her hand down on a decorative red velvet drape. She smiled and continued with Omega.

  Seconds after her touching of the drape, subtly and unoticable to the human eye, there was an alteration, a visual peeling effect as a small black spider seemed to manifest from sheer nothingness, reality having warped. The Spider discretely climed up the drape, keeping to the shadows and tucked between the folds as to avoid dectection. Once it reached the cheiling, it would stay stuck to a corner pocket and observe the glass with the necklace, and a man whom seemed to take great interest.

****************
*   Murder    *
****************

        The pale boy stood there wetting his lips before he took in a deep breath looking over the necklace. It looked exactly like it, to the perfect detail. The man next to him had been here for a short while, it made him wonder what HIS interest in the amulet was. Not that it particularly mattered. The paler young man with jet black hair sighed as he removed his glasses and placed his hand up again, feeling his own identicle necklace humming and vibrating with warmth. It was an affirmation of sorts. This was indeed one of The Dragon King's marks, The Primordial of Chaos had supposidly given this to Helen of Troy but for what reason? He could only speculate why, but it didn't matter now. His unnaturally blue eyes seemed to glow in response to the necklace and the draconian figure. This was it... now or never.

  Within an instant, a murder of crows seemed to spawn from the shadows and fly about. A bird assigned itself to securities guards, as if they were intricately assigned to. The pale young man made himself as in conspicuous as possible as he ducked down and put his head beneath his arms and looking around slightly panicked.  The murder of crows was vicious as they seemed to best the security while one singular bird amongst them all made a nose-dive at the necklace exhibit. With a shatter the creature would break through the glass, though subsequently killing itself. The dead crow turned to mist and faded away with a sickly caw, as the murder of crows continued their assault on all armed security.

A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken) Empty Re: A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken)

A while passed before Draiken realized that he was not alone in his interest of the item on display. Whilst he had been observing the necklace and admiring it’s beauty he had also been reminiscing of home and all the images that had been conjured up by the mystical trinket. As he watched a very pale young man approached the necklace beside him and began to look intently at him, with a slight edginess apparent in the way that he held himself. He clutched his hand to his chest at one point and Draiken could vaguely perceive the shape of an item of jewelry, although it was very hard for him to discern exactly what it was. He was about to walk over and introduce himself by talking to the man when everything started happening. In an instant the room became plagued with beasts and it was drowned in the sounds of screeching and the screams of innocent people. The beasts in question were small black birds, very similar to the Khranes of his home planet, yet they were considerably smaller and seemed less intelligent, almost as if some other force was controlling them. He turned and saw the man next to him now cowering on the floor to avoid the birds along with most of the other people who were left in the room. Draiken however stood tall not afraid of the tiny birds preparing himself to fight the menaces that had now surrounded the room, targeting specific men in white shirts that were stood by every entrance of the room.

As he began to make a move a bird ploughed into the glass case that he had previously been looking at, shredding itself in the process of unveiling the treasure that it had been protecting. When life faded from the beast it then faded from existence into a mist. Magic, now this is something that Draiken knew of. A glimmer surrounded him as his human attire transformed itself back into it’s original armored form revealing also the weapons he had hidden on his person. He pulled the Dagger of Ezrael from it’s harness on his side and threw it directly at one of the birds who was still attacking one of the men around the room despite him having fallen down. The bird was slammed against the wall and pinned in place by the blade all life fading from it in an instant.
“People fear thee not, I shall slay the beasts and return you to safety.” He announced loudly to the room, his voice ringing out with a Shakespearian sort of English. With a sharp mental command the blade ripped from the wall and returned to his hand, the bird fading to dust before it even managed to hit the ground.

A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken) Empty Re: A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken)

Millennianna was shocked when the spider granted her the insight as to what was happening in the other room. Omega gripped her arm and pulled her close as he began to force her out of the area with him. He wanted to get her to safety, there was no doubt on that, but Milla had...different plans to say the least. The Spider observed and Milla wissgled to move free. She watched as the crows attacked. A man was brave enough to stand up and talk really funny, like in those books she read. He had some cool moves with the throwing and the impaling of the Raven, but there were too many crows for Milla to connect with what was really going on. Omega was insistant that she follow him to safety, but he knew her better than she realized. He knew that there was no keeping Milla from investigation, so he did the only thing he could think to do. He followed with her as she stood in the threshold and looked about.

"Alright Milly! If you're going to do this BE SMART! Remember what we talked about!" Omega said out loud. She looked to him and beamed a flawless white smile as he let her go. When she took off, she didn't take off in the traditional sense, which was good. Normally they charge off into the fray, but SHE didn't. She ran around in the opposite tirection, strategically going through the other exhibits. Her hands touched each to a different room. Where her hand was left reality warped, just as it had with the spider. Existence peeling away like dried paint and revealing a whole new construct. She touched the exit, spawning a beautiful oddly glowing flower (FaeFlora). She then manifested a swarm of insects and rats as well. She returned to Omega and smiled as he nodded and went in. He grappled a Raven, every raven killed turned to mist and vanished as they passed.

****************
* Murder *
****************

One down, another down. Two particular individuals wanted to play hero, and that was fine. They could have their victory. As for Ayn? Ayn would have the necklace. The pale man moved out of the way as if he were running from the room and yet another murder of crows would appear, these ones replacing the other dea, and then a third murder showed, blackening out the room to even Milla's and the spiders eyes. They were far too numerous to keep track of them all, and many of them flocked to the necklace. When they were gone, so was the necklace obviously. The crows had it, but which one? There were several. The room began to clear out as Omega had taken some damages, nothing too severe, but the numerous flocks had him beat by numbers. The room thinned out, but Milla could't help but wonder what was going on. Ayn was safely in another room and sure that a crow covered every camera, perched on it. As one flew overhead it released the amulet and it dropped into his hand as he smirked.

He was almost home free, of course until you counted the swarm of rats that came around the corner, piling on top of each other and staring him down. Ayn quickly threw the necklace over his neck and hid it beneath his shirt as the crows flocked to the rats, taking them head on, one by one. That was not a coincidence...

A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken) Empty Re: A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken)

Post by Draiken September 2nd 2014, 6:17 am

More and more seemed to be going on around him as the people continued to cower in fear. He had little time to turn his attention to the other matters at hand however as the bird situation was growing wild, the beasts almost tripling in number. He realised that the small and ancient dagger on itself wouldn’t be fast enough so left it hovering in the air as he produced a small golden baton that was attached to his back. Within an instant there was a burst of golden energy and the baton transformed into a six-foot long sceptre with a sharp blade attached to one end of it.
“Mortals I would recommend you keep your heads low, there is no safety to be found here yet,” he said whilst brandishing the large weapon, it’s golden glow reflecting off of his face and the broken glass upon the floor.

With a small command his dagger began flying off, slashing through crows one after the other. He held his sceptre up before swinging it at a few of the beasts, tearing three of the birds down to the ground in one clean sweep, all of them fading to their dark mist. Four birds surrounded him and began diving in for attacks, they were not strong enough to really cause him any harm, but they were a nuisance nonetheless. One soared past and scratched along his cheek drawing the smallest amount of blood. He couldn’t help but smile as this was starting to feel like home. He began parrying their blows with the pole of his sceptre, knocking the beasts back with expert precision whilst his dagger returned to a closer distance. When it was in range he spun his sceptre knocking all of the birds back into a wide circle around him. Almost instantly his dagger rocketed from bird to bird, leaving a trail of red energy in it’s path as it tore each bird in two, before sailing back to the holster that was on Draiken’s side. Suddenly a vast quantity of the birds swarmed in his direction and he believed they were trying to attack him, however they soared straight past him and flocked the necklace that was on display. When they cleared it was evident that one of the birds must have taken the necklace but with so many in the room he could not figure out which. It became clear to him this way all a ploy to retrieve the necklace and the sorcerer behind it would be waiting somewhere to collect it. Looking upward he saw part of the group that had flocked on the necklace and decided he had to take a chance on them having it. Pointing his sceptre he released a blast of golden energy, which crashed into the birds eviscerating them all and even dislodging some of the ceiling as it connected. Watching the dust fall he realised he had missed his mark. The necklace was not there.

He scanned for a sign of the necklace as the room began to clear out, the birds all-flying in different directions and a vast quantity of them clearing the room. He would have made chase for the necklace but he was unsure which direction it was in and for now he had to focus on getting these innocent people out of harms way.
“People, make haste towards the exit! Stay low and crowd not, there is time and I shall protect you,” he boomed to the people of the room. A few people listened to the command and began moving towards the exit but a lot of people were still frozen in fear. He looked down to them and spoke proudly yet kindly, “Friends, you must move now. The birds quarrel is with me and I shall hold their gaze.”
With that he leapt in to the air and punched a bird clear out of the sky before running to the opposite end of the room and yelling to the creatures.
“Demons! I have slain many of your allies, what say you show me what you are really capable of”

A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken) Empty Re: A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken)

Post by Zodiac September 2nd 2014, 8:46 pm

Omega was sure to kill more than his fair share of the beats, making rather quick work of them with a little of his "Omega-man magic" as Milla called it. Milla on the other hand prompted the small little spider to scurry as it leapt from the wall and onto a crow that was flying. The Spider hunkered down and awaited until the raven flew towards the rats. Milla prompted the spider to ditch-ship and jump from the crow, landing on the floor behind the pale boy walking away. The Spider rushed as it tried to catch up, finally making it as it attached on to the boy's shoes and began making it's way to his pant leg. The Rat Swarm was literally NOTHING in comparison to the murder of crows and apparently this boy was quick to figure that out. One by one the rats were lifted and bitten into by the crows, blood squirted and splattered, decorating the floor like a Jackson Pollock painting of blood and misery. The crows vanished, and in their wake...there was nothing. No rat's no bones. Just blood strewn across the walls and residual puddles of a once moderately scary force of rats.

   Milla sunk back as she felt the death of each and every single rat. She took off with a determination, and even against the finely dressed masses who were headed to the door out she pressed on. This Shakespearian man had the attention of Omega as he charged into the other room, the same room where Milla had just run off to. Of course Omega was wondering what the hell Milla was doing and what this guy thought he was doing. Of course it was a logical conclusion to think Big man going in Milla's direction was a threat right? Right. Time for Big brother to do his job. Omega took off full sprint towards this man, he was going to beat the living tar out of this guy, that was until he found himself in an entirely different room with the man swinging out at the birds. There across from him he caught what was a boot going through the threshold of the door Milla was running through. The man professed something about demons and showing themselves. Omega, rather than waste time, took off towards Milla. "MILLA!" He shouted. This was not on accident, this was by design. If this renaissance fair freak heard him call for Milla he might think over his actions rather than attack a little girl who was running...providing he saw it was a little girl.

****************
* Murder *
****************

Ayn made his way to the next room, this one had the door to the exit he so long awaited. He was close, and when he came into this room he saw something that he did not anticipate. The door, the exit was entirely covered by insects of a strange variety and assortment. Ayn growled as he began to spawn more crows, these ones from his body. Another murder appeared and flew at the door. The insects proved more difficult to kill than the rats, but they put up even less of a fight. It was a matter of time now before he was out, and that was all he needed. Out. Once he had the night sky above him, nothing could keep him from his escape. Though the sound of shoe-bottoms squealing against the hardwood floor behind him caught his attention. Bloody Hell... he thought as he turned slightly to his left, just enough to look at the young woman standing there, looking at him, no doubt anyone who pursued her would be there soon enough. The young man sighed as his eyes, the same color as the necklace's gem were fixated on Milla and any other "Guests". Of them he recalled something about of an individual calling him a demon. He smiled as his eyes glowed faintly. "Well I don't know about being a "Demon"... if I were one the blue eyes mean I'd probably have a different intention than robbery." He said, his accent was thick. Omega knew the tone to be of British vernacular. "So is it just you few, or are we waiting for the boys in blue?" He asked calmly as he seemed to analyze everything.

A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken) Empty Re: A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken)

Post by Draiken September 5th 2014, 3:12 pm

Momentarily the birds became fixated on Draiken, launching a full on attack towards him whilst he attempted to parry the blows. Mostly succeeding but a few scratches being left behind. His plan had worked though as everybody had made it safely out of the room and presumably also out of the building. He was still swinging his blade at the birds when another man burst into the room, however something was different about this man he was not afraid of the beasts like everybody else but was rather preoccupied with other thoughts. Within seconds of appearing he ran off shouting after a female name Milla. If there was a female in trouble Draiken would not stand idly by as anything befell her and so with a big swing he cleared a path through the birds and began charging in the direction that the man had headed. He cut through the door next to him hoping that he could place himself in an advantageous position ahead of the man, but not being familiar with the layout of the building came out beside a young female standing opposite the male who had been near him earlier.

As they stood there the boy addressed the group, “Well I don’t know about being a “Demon”… If I were on the blue eyes mean I’d probably have a different intention that robbery.” The boy had a cryptic was of speaking and Draiken wasn’t entirely sure what he was telling them. However, he could sense that the necklace that had been taken was nearby; meaning that one of these two had been responsible for the attack and all the beasts that had been around. However, he soon came to realise it must have been the boy due to the way he spoke and held himself.
“So is it just you few, or are we waiting for the boys in blue?” he said to the group. Draiken was definitely confused now, he had no idea what the references these humans used were and so he turned to the girl next to him.
“Why would we be waiting for the assistance of blue-clad males?” with a tone of pure confusion in his voice. He knew that he would be able to take this male with great ease, due to the small stature of the man so he was not at all intimidated deciding to speak loudly and directly to the man whilst stepping closer towards him.
“Listen honour-less thief, return what you have taken so we might forget this happening. I will not ask you twice.”

Milennianna had no idea what to expect from all of this. The strange male asked her why they'd be waiting for assitance of men in clad blue. She found herself confused at the confusion. "I think he means the law enforcement." She said very matter of factly, though apparently Omega found what the male said about blue eye humorous. Milennianna quizzed it telepathically before she was in formed that Demons with unnatural blue eyes are Incubi and Succubi, the only thing they steal isn't amulets. Was all he said on the matter. Apparently it was a Pop-culture thing. Millennianna tilted her head off to the side. Milla this really isn't safe, we should go, this guy looks more than able to handle himself. Omega said, it wasn't a request, it was an order. She was being ordered away, but Milla ignored him, wondering if she pretending to not her him if he'd stop. No I won't. Let's go. Now. He commanded. Milla focused for a moment, the spider worked it's way up the pale boy's leg.  The man who asked her about the police then prceeded to give a rather colorful speech about him being an honorless thief and him not asking twice. The pale boy smiled and arched an eyebrow.

   "You have no idea what you're getting yourselves into." He said with a smile as his eyes began to glow, the two necklaces beneath his shirt shining throuhg brightly in response. "Dhru Otha Paux Yamm." The young man said, the language was unknown to Milennianna and Omega, though anyone adept enough in the occult (or knowledgable) on Dragons would understand the language perfectly as "Orders of the Dragon King Yamm". With that the ravens pulled from the door, every insect erradicated, all ofthem with eyes the same as Ayn's. Crows and Ravens both began to mold and appear from Ayn's body, as if the skin were bubling and feathers were bursting out, beaks and blood chilling caws of the avian species. The man was spawning these creatures form his own physiology. Milennianna noted that between the other man and Omega they had killed perhaps two flocks, but the number this man was multiplying was...intimidating. The number of crows killed was multiplied over four times and an additional half. The man was panting barely, though it was clear that these spawnings took from his stamina, or perhaps his very person. Seven flocks worth of crows and ravens. Millennianna looked to Omega. "It's some kind of cloning!" She said quickly rather proud of herself. TO her it only made sense, if they were being summoned it wouldn't have been as strenuous on the male as summoning can be nigh-instantaneous. Though she surmised it as clonging because they were literally spawning from the man, which made her question something. Was this man REALLY a man at all?

   "Might as well get a murder by numbers." He gave a slight chuckle as he turned to walk away. Though he was not so lucky. Milla's planning had taken it's own assistance as the FaeFlora she had planted had been taking it's time to trigger and activate. The spores had been released and not the walls were all black, no doors, no windows, no paintings. The blackness seemed to move and rotate as if they were made of liquid and begin to disorient Ayn's perceptions of where he was headed. "Bloody Hell." He goraned as he turned around and held out hand towards the one who seemed to be the biggest threat, Draiken. The majority of the swarm headed for him, five of the flocks upon him while two other flocks preocupied themselves with Omega and Milla, pecking away. Milla lowered herseld as small nips of flesh were taken and talons clawed at her dress, rending the flesh upon her shoulder and leaving marks as crimson liquis gushed out and oozes oh so slowly down her arm and soaked her hoodie. Ayn was freaking out internaly, but he'd not let it show. He was fixated and focused on survival. He was staying back for a reason. It was quite obvious to Milla that this young man was inept at fighting, and that to target him would quickly fix the fight, however that was her inexperience. Omega still knew too little about the man to do anything, nor charge him directly. He needed to wait back a little and watch, for all he knew this guy just didn't feel like fighting...didn't mean he couldn't.

A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken) Empty Re: A Raven and a Draiken (closed to Draiken)

The man stood cockily forward to Draiken’s command and his eyes began to glow with a peculiar energy, triggering a reaction from both his own and the stolen necklace which were concealed beneath his shirt. He began to speak aloud in a foreign tongue that Draiken had scarcely come across in his journey’s but knew enough to decipher the phrase “Dragon King Yamm.” As soon as the words left his mouth the birds he had control of rushed to his command and he began to transform into what can only be described as a monstrosity. Feathers began to burst from his body as he started spawning an incredible amount of the winged beasts from inside of himself, taking great strain on the man as it drained from what seemed to be his very own essence to create the nightmares. Incredible numbers had spawned and Draiken held an arm out to his side ushering the young female to stay behind him as she spoke of a thing called ‘Cloning.’ He would keep her safe as he knew his body would be better prepared to take the beating that would soon follow and would if necessary give her time to escape the place.

The man tried to make his exit, but some form of illusion prevented him from doing so, causing him to panic and launch his attack. He held a hand directly at Draiken and a vast quantity of the birds flew directly towards him at quite some speed and began clawing and tearing at his body. The amount was such that they all but blocked Draiken’s view of the entire room, disorientating him as they spread around blocking out the light with their blackness. He began swinging his fists at the beasts, the sheer strength of his blows being enough to crush one or two of them on impact but made no real impact to the majority of the flocks. He reached to his back and once again drew out his staff, which elongated almost immediately into its pole like form. He had a plan laid out to fend off some of the beasts but he quickly remembered the young girl that he had been protecting. Peering through little gaps in the birds that swarmed him he saw that the girl too was being attacked by the birds and taking considerably more damage than he was. As the birds continued to tear at his back he felt them finally beginning to break skin, trickles of blood beginning to form and slide downward on his spine. He could feel pain, but his was not important right now. The girl was.

He pointed the end of his staff and the birds flying overhead the girl and launched a large blast of golden energy towards them. Hoping to save her from the torment that they were causing. As soon as the blast left his staff the birds closed around him, cutting his view off entirely.
“Fiends,” He shouted at the birds “Boy, you should have heeded my warning.” He held the staff in his hand and split it in two a golden glow accompanying it as it changed into two small axes, one held strongly in each hand. He began slashing wildly at the birds surrounding his head, parrying blows with one hand and cleaving the beasts to the ground with the other, strong exclamations of effort following each individual blow as he smashed the birds down. One by one they were falling and the crowd had started to thin. However, he was caught off guard as a small group of birds broke through his defence and took aim at his face. He lost his focus and covered his face leaving himself largely unguarded. All of the birds started piling upon him and he fell to a knee as the sheer strength of the hordes pushed him to the ground. It would take a lot of effort for him to reach his feet again.
