Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by XxRedxX August 11th 2014, 12:09 am

June 22nd, 19:00, Little Town in Wisconsin

In the distance, beyond the trees and mountain tops, the rumbling of thunder and lightning rolling over the land could be heard. In one mighty flash, if your eyes were unfocused while looking in the distance, one could swear they saw an extra mountain appear and then suddenly vanish. Anyone would just dismiss it as their mind playing tricks but unbeknownst to the little town something big was coming that they weren't prepared for.

"Marge can you shut that damned television off" Called out Jomar, a older man with peppered hair and a scruffy chin. One eye slightly squinting more than the other as the waitress complied with his request. On the screen was yet another report about the destruction of New York and the rebuilding process that was being done. "I hate being reminded that such monsters exist in this world, capable of leveling an entire city like that..."

Marge picked up a pot of coffee from the serving table and brought it over to the former boxer to pour him some more. "How about you hun, do you want anything?" She turned to look at a young man, blonde hair and brown eyes. His face looked a little rough like he had been in a fight recently and he wore a plain white tee with some worn blue jeans. "No thanks, i'm good ma'am."

"You know you keep taking so many to the head you'll end up like the hideous beast sitting across from you." She stated, smirking as she looked over at Jomar. The two both laughed as she was called over by another regular at the dinner. Shaking his head Jomar took a sip of his coffee and eyed Zadkiel. "I've trained a lot of boys, and i've trained a lot of men. Got to say, you've got a natural talent. You blew the audience away with that one hit KO you got in the final round. I was worried with how many blows you let threw but you tired his arm out just enough that he dropped his guard for a second and BLAM right in the jaw. God dang kid that was great, hit the floor like a sack of potatoes!"

"Would you expect any less from your number one student?" Zadkiel said with a grin, sitting back in the booth with both arms hanging up on the seats backing. "You got guts kid, but keep that pride in check cause one of these days someones going to wipe that smirk right off your face." Jomar stated, the two sharing a laugh when sudden an alarm went off in Zadkiels pocket.

"I've got to run Jomar." Zad got out of his seat, pulling his phone out and silence his phone before placing it back. He had a bit of worry on his face as he  turned away from his trainer. "Zad hold up!"

Jomar got up and reached into his pocket pulling out a few bucks, counting them quick he placed them on the table and called over to Marge. "Keep the change!" He then followed Zad outside were a light drizzle began falling from the dark clouds above. "I'll give you a ride, your brother has the car and the last thing you need is to catch a cold the day before your birthday."

The two got into an old ford pickup truck, rickety and obviously had seen better days but its engine still sounded off with power when Jomar turned the ignition. taking off from the dinner, they started off towards where his brother was. "I hear you boys plan on taking a trip, going to see the world and all that good stuff." They came up to a stop sign, which Jomar came to a complete stop and let a cloaked man cross the road. Something seemed errie about the man, but Jomar shook it off and started driving down the road again. "You know you boys are always welcomed to come back. This is your home, the orphanage is your family and we'll never turn you guys down if you ever need help. The worlds a crazy place, more now than ever and little people like us." Jomar paused, sighing a bit. "Well, we get swept under the rug like we don't matter."

"I know Jomar..." Zad stated, starring out the window as rain picked up. "Michael and I have to do this. We don't want to be a burden on anyone else. I've got my carpentry and Mike has his technical skills. We can make a living for ourselves, and you can sure as heck bet we'll be back to visit. This is our home, you guys are our family." Jomar patted Zadkiel on the shoulder and nodded at the young man. "We're almost there."

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by Michael Carpenter August 11th 2014, 5:36 pm

"Shit, shit, shit!" Michael was running around the back room of the little shop he was working for. He was late for work that day as when he was coming back from the Dojon, he almost got into an accident by hitting some large cloaked man, and now he was late to meet up with his brother back home. He got permission from his bosses to take anything that has not been touched in the last three years that may be useful for his trip. He found a spool of wire that were colored pink and green...probably from the 70's but the plastic coating was still good. He grabbed a few miscellaneous remotes, tools, and a nice retractable knife with replacement blades. He showed his boss his spoils and they nodded. They tossed his last paycheck in cash on top of his box, with some extra in it. The head boss, Joel, smiled at the kid and said "You take care now, I better not see you again in a casket, and if you damage that car I'll make sure you end up in a casket." His rough voice had a chime of humor in it.

The second boss, James, walked forward next. The younger brother of Joel fished out two brand new top of the line phones. "One for you and one for your brother, my parting gift. Take care you guys." James was the more sentimental of the two, and also loved to out do his own older brother. With a smile Michael nodded "Thank you guys, trust me, I will be back soon. Thank you both for everything!" With that he burts out the door...and into a drizzle, damn. He popped the trunk and tossed his spoils into the compartment before closing it and making his way to the front of the car. Behind the wheel he fired up the engine which roared to life with the ferocity of a thousand wild beasts. With a smile, the young man shifted the car into first and did his best to not peel out and feel like a bad ass...he still peeled out and watched his bosses from the rear view mirror shake their heads and smile as they waved.

Michael tossed both phones on the passenger seat, still in their boxed packaging. "Huh, I did not know that the Galaxy S6... how the hell did he pull that off?" He always suspected his bosses had some pact with the forces of technology, and these new phones not even on the market yet proved his suspicions more and more. Owell, at least they would work for the network he used. Paying attention to the road, he shifted the car to second and then to third as he picked up speed, and was on the road back to the orphanage. His Taikwondo Gi and his brown belt were still in the backseat. "Too bad I wont have the time to get my black belt either, one day I will get the test."

In order to get your black belt you actually had to have your dojon submit a request for examination to some council. Your belts only count for your personal dojon, except black belt. When you get approved to try for the black belt, some Korean masters actually come to observe you and test you. Should you fail, it is a long time before you may try again... Michael was going to take it, but he was not willing to wait another month. He could try in the future, maybe, if they ever came back. He had a feeling that they would not ever come home though. Shaking his head and rubbing his eyes, he down shifted and turned onto the old stone driveway that lead a three fourths of a mile path to the orphanage. Pulling up to the side of the doors, he parked the car and the storm severity increased.

Michael scurried from the car to the porch covered stairwell to the orphanage, holding the phones, and waited their for his brother. In the meantime he watched the lighting grow and the thunder increase. Every other flash showed an optical illusion of an extra mountain in the distance. Pulling out his current phone he tried to snap a picture of the scene before him. He waited till the optical illusion was visible and he pressed the screen to take a picture when CRACK the screen shattered on his phone...really? With a sigh he opened up the new phone and began to set it up and take the sim from his old, now dead, phone and place it in the new one.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by XxRedxX August 12th 2014, 5:36 pm

Rain began to fall harder and harder as Jomar took a left turn on the the old stone drive way which lead to the orphanage. Funding for the old building was scarce and it barely made it by year by year. A lot of repairs were done by Zadkiel under the tutelage of Tom Burch, free of charge of course. Tom was also once an orphan but had been adopted by a good family. Finally pulling up to the front of the building, Zadkiel could see his brother Michael. Checking the time, it was already nine o'clock and they were supposed to go bowling with some friends from High school.

"Thanks for the ride Jomar." Zadkiel hoped out of the truck and waved goodbye to his trainer. "Be careful tonight, this freak storm came out of now where and the Weatherman's baffled. Nothing new there but still, stay safe." Jomar stated, leaning over his steering wheel, sighing as he looked out at the dark skies rolling in.

"Don't worry, worst case scenario we get stuck at the bowling alley for a few extra hours!" Zad stated, turning to face his brother as he made his way up the stairs. Jomar waved at Michael and with a simple nod he drove off back down the road they had come.

"Sorry I'm late man." Zad started, turning his head to look back at the storm. "Damn weather came out of no where." Zadkiel could see Michael was playing with a new phone but he couldn't figure out the model. "What is that thing, new phone?"

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by Michael Carpenter August 13th 2014, 9:23 pm

Michael looked up as the car with his brother came to a halt. There was a wave to him from the driver, his brothers trainer Jomar. Mike waved back, a half smile on his face. He was more distracted by his new toy then by anything else. When his brother approached him after Jomar took off, Zad commented about the whether. Promptly Mike held up his old phone "Yeah, and I tried to take a picture which some how caused my poor screen to shatter!" He exclaimed, not hiding the sadness in his voice. He then powered off and then powered back on his new phone, a super bright Hi def screen lit up and before him was his new phone. Handing Zad the unopened box with the same phone as his, Mike happily explained. " These were gifts my bosses, two new phones not on the market yet. Pop your sim in and you should be good to go, aside from the stupid start up stuff."

Thunder cracked louder than it had been and lightning lit up the sky as if it was high noon. "Freak storm my ass, its a government cover up... Zombies man, just you wait. This storm is filling the corpses and the living people with the next zombie virus." He laughed then, for he did not think this storm would cause the zombie apocalypse. However, he did believe one was possible... but that was neither here nor there. "Okay, so Rose bowl right?" He got up and made a fast dash to the drivers side "Dibs on driving!" His voice muffled by another crack of thunder as he scurried into the car, trying to stop the excessive rain from getting inside. Since Mike had parked the mustang the rain had started hitting as hard as any storm that he had ever seen. "Its a good thing we are driving or else we might actually stay dry..." he muttered to himself.

Waiting for Zad to get into the passenger side, Mike turned the key and the engine roared to life once more. He never did get sick of that sound. Putt the car in reverse to back up, then shifting into drive, they made their way down the old stone driveway once more and unto the main street. "So, who all are we meeting again anyway? The list of people keeps on changing." which was true. Growing up they only had a handful of friends, but some of these friends had more friends, then weren't friends, or dated and they had partners who Also had friends! Mike took a deep breath out loud yet these were just his frantic thoughts. Life was just complicated, unlike technology. Everything (except for Volkswagen and honda's) had a purpose or made good things happen. A part breaks, you fix or replace it, and the balance was restored. People on the otherhand, nah, they were different. Not all were good, useful, or even worth fixing. A replacement would also be pointless because you would still be stuck with an ass hole. Nope, give mike a new gadget or some wire any day instead of three people who's total value was less then the wasted bits of material cut off when running some good old 14/3.

Mike than suddenly slammed on the breaks, causing the car to swerve and fish tail slightly. Mike corrected the car and had it back facing the right way, the high beams of the car focused on a large cloaked hulking figure standing in the middle of the road. Mike blared on the horn, flipped the guy off, and drove past him, kicking water off the road unto the guy. "Damn, dude almost got hit! The car! See, stupid people. I swear I saw him earlier too." Making a left at the light on !5th street, Mike directed the car down the street, across Sumner Ave, and then made a right into the Rose Bowl parking lot. The tacky neon lights outside still burning bright to show they were in business despite mother natures protest. "At least we got here safely. C'mon, lets go enjoy ourselves, foe we become adults in a couple hours!" Stepping out of the car, locking the door, closing it, Mike once again ran to avoid the rain until he got to the doorway of the bowling Ally.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by XxRedxX August 14th 2014, 4:57 pm

Zadkiel took the box that was handed to him and raised an eye brow, he had never seen that sort of phone before but by the looks of the one his brother had and how his attention was split between him and the phone it must mean it was good. "Be sure to tell your boss thank you." Zad followed his brother, barely hearing him call the drivers seat so Zad went over to the passenger side and hoped in. The door squeaked just a little from opening and closing the door, he never oiled it because he loved the vintage sound of the door closing.

"Yeah the Rose bowl." Zad stated, opening the box and taking out the new phone, swapping out the sim cards and activating his new phone only to be disappointed as it started 'setting up'. "Yeah but we haven't had a good storm in a while, i think John said he'd be there along with..." Suddenly Mike slammed on the brakes and avoided hitting a large cloaked figure. Zad braced himself as they narrowly avoided hitting the guy. Michael flipped him off and blarred his horn before blasting past the man and splashing water all over him.

"Damn that was close" Zad stated, looking back the rear window to see that the cloaked figure was simply standing there looking at them. Thinking about it, he swore it was the same guy he and Jomar passed earlier but he didn't think much of it as they pulled up to the Rose Bowl.

"Fuck yeah, lets bowl!" Zakiel jumped out of the car and charged for the bowling alleys doors, his path lite by the Neon lights which flickered  as thunder rolled behind him. Looking around he spotted their friends who had already started warming up their game. Taking the lead, Zadkiel threw a few bucks to the teen behind the counter, a friendly acquaintance who always worked there and knew his shoe number. Grabbing his shoes Zad quickly changed and headed over to the groups alley. "Your bowl" One of them stated, as Zadkiel grabbed a ball and positioned himself in front of the lane.

By the glimmer of the wood he could tell they were freshly waxed, it would be difficult for his spin to catch unless he used a heavier ball but it might be easier to go for a straight shot down the center. Placing his fingers in the balls holes, Zadkiel aimed and then took three steps forward and in one motion released the ball down the alley. There was a loud clash as the bowling ball battled with the pins and then loud cheering.

"STRIKE!" Zadkiel called out, raising his fist in victory for showing up his friends who have yet to get a strike that night. "Your bowl Michael" Holding his hand up to both give Michael a high five as well as to tag him in. They always played as a team and usually came out on top when it came to bowling.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by Michael Carpenter August 16th 2014, 7:22 pm

From the second Mike stepped foot into the actual bowling Ally, his head began to spin. Shaking off his light headedness, his body began to ache a bit. He must be coming down with the flue...but he never gets sick. Must be a strong one this year. His brother immediately ran up and got a strike. Their friends had everything ready, that was nice. Still feeling off, he walked up to the counter. "You all right Mike?" Asked the guy behind the counter, placing Mikes appropriate bowling shoes on the counter. Size 16, people were always surprised. "Yeah, it's all good Sam." The loud music from the nighttime special was momentarily drowned out from a thunder clap. "Damn, better get a few frames in before we lose power or something." Mike waved to Sam and trotted to the table where the whole gang was waiting.

Changing his shoes as he approached his friends, which involved a lot of one footed hoping, Mike was done just in time to high five Zad back. With a crack of his neck Michael looked for the heaviest ball he could find, a good 16 pounder. The Solid black sphere felt good enough for one of his throws, which he can get up to 20 miles per hour. He exhaled and took four steps, on the fourth step he landed down and launched to ball halfway down the lane before it touched down, and then slammed in for a strike of his own. See, you were not allowed to loft the ball, so Mike just sort of...projected it. He sometimes got strikes, sometimes only 9 pins...but he sucked at picking up spares with pins on the corners. This throw was good, so he trailed on back shouting "Two for two! The Carpenters strike again!" He sat down next to his brother. It was one of their friends turn to bowl.

Time was ticking, games were bowled, and the brothers Carpenter were always on top, minus a game or so Where John won but he had a wicked curve himself. Nate however was mediocre, but since he was 21 with each beer he had, his bowling got better. There was still no logic to this mysterious talent. Soon it was Zad's turn again and Mike said with jest "Maybe you should bowl backwards, give 'em a chance haha!" At that time Cinderella Man by Eminem started playing over the speakers. With great enthusiasm Mike leaped up to shout with the Lyrics "Who can catch lightning in a bottle, set fire to water!" Cinderella man Cinderella man. The song always was edited at the bowling ally, but it was a cool song none the less.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by XxRedxX August 16th 2014, 10:01 pm

11:30 PM The Rose Bowl Bowling Alley Parking Lot

The power held out for the group of friends bowling for fun, it was a good time and one of the best ways to bring in the brothers birthdays. Little was left with the boys when there were given up to the orphanage, baby clothes, and a note that stated their date of birth. Odd as it was, Mother Marabeth took them in as if they were her own and raised them along with the rest of the people in their little town. The good Ole' boys of St. Frances Orphanage. It was now drawing near midnight and Zadkiel was getting strange pains through out his body all night throwing off a few shots. Jomar had forgotten to get the boys a gift, and after dropping off Zad earlier he went to pick one up for them and planned to give it to them at the bowling alley. He had just arrived when it seemed like something was going on with the lights inside, and through the rain he could see a cloak figure walk into the building just as the light went out.

12:00 AM

The lights in the Rose Bowl began to flicker just as Zadkiels pains turned for the worse. wrapping his arms around himself, he dropped down to the ground in pain gnashing his teeth before letting out a painful cry. Some of his friends knelt down to his side to figure out what was wrong with their friend. All the bulbs in the building exploded at once and then the power went out. An emergency generator turned on, lighting up the bowling alley with a red hue. The workers tried to keep everybody calm but couldn't figure out what was wrong with the Carpenters. "Call an ambulance!" Some one called out.

"I got no service, and the phone lines are down." Stated the young man from earlier who worked behind the counter. "I'll try outside hold on." Not paying attention, he headed towards the door looking down at his phone trying to dial 9-11 when suddenly he hit something hard as steel. Looking up it was a titan of a man in a brown cloak drenched in rain.

"An Ambulance will not be necessary." The figure stated, grabbing the phone from the clerk and crushing it in his fist. "Step aside, I will be taking them from this pitiful excuse of an existence." Simply walking past the clerk, who he bumped into and sent flying into a table which broke under him.

"Yo man, who the fuck do you think you are?" John stated, standing up to the man who simply stopped as John cut him off. Angry, John threw a punch which the man caught his hand. Simply shaking his head, he closed his fist and smashed Johns fist who screamed in pain as he dropped to his knees holding his mangled hand. It was like some sort of horror movie, between the screams of the Carpenters. Most of the crowd backed off, their most loyal friends standing their ground but obviously trembling in fear. "The fates said the gods would draw first blood." The man reached into his cloak revealing a sword which he drew. He raised the sword up high, friends frozen in fear as the man poised to strike at them when suddenly a shot rang out from behind him and the tip of the sword broke off and sliced his cheek.

"Next shots aimed directly at your head stranger and if you know whats good for you then you'll put the sword down and leave those kids alone!" It was the very familiar voice of Jomar, exercising his right to bare arms and protect the people he cares about. The man simply turned away from the group of teens and smirked as he sheathed his sword. He could sense that Jomar wasn't like other humans, he was a champion of sorts and he felt it in the air. The man grabbed his cloaked and pulled it off revealing the man was more than human, he flung the cloak away and he was dressed in armor you'd see in a gladiator type movie set in Rome or Greece.

"Don't move!" Jomar shouted, "Kids grab Zad and Mike and get the hell out of here NOW!" Jomar had a sense too, he could tell this man wasn't human. Who ever it was, he was beyond human and was even possibly Metahuman. He had seen them on Television and this man had it screaming all over him. The Carpenters friends grabbed them and started dragging them away.  "Now we are going to wait here for the police and..." Suddenly, barely before Jomar could react, the stranger was in front of him. Jomar managed to squeeze off a second shot from his hand gun but the bullet simply bounced off the man as he swatted the gun out of Jomars hands.

"Make this entertaining and I might let you live." The man stated, raising his hands up readying himself to fight Jomar who quickly took up his boxing stance. Taking a quick offensive, Jomar threw the first punch. The man didn't lift a finger to guard himself but instead allowed the punch to hit him in the jaw. It had no effect. Jomars eye twitched as he took a few steps backward away from the man. "Wha... who are you!"

The man let out a loud laugh which could be heard from outside, "I am Heracles, and I have come for my brothers." Heracles punched Jomar, who blocked but was thrown into the air and threw the glass doors tumbling to a stop. Smirking to himself, Heracles murmured to himself. "He may have lived..."

Outside in the parking lot at the other entrance, one of the Carpenters friends were slapping Michael. "He stopped screaming and i think he is waking up. Mike WAKE UP!" It was one of their female friends, somebody who actually had a crush on Mike who raised her hand and slapped him. Zadkiel screaming began to die down as he too began to recover but not as quickly as his brother. The doors to the bowling alley burst open and out came the armor clad Heracles. "oh no..." She stated in terror, trembling as she held Micheal's head.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

"Wake up! Wake up!" Was this all a dream? The lights had started getting weird, and the pains he was feeling had grown far worse. His brother dropped down in agony was the last thing he remembered, and he too heard an ear splitting buzz in his head, and then he was out. He knew not of what went on in the meantime. He missed seeing his friend get mangled, he missed seeing Jomar show up, he missed all of the precursor events. Their was one thing he did not miss though. He did not miss his friends guarding them, he felt it. Once more, he REALLY felt being slapped across the face rather hard. Slowly the sound returned first. Muffled, the words "Wake up!" reached him again. The voice...who was that. Who was... Then she screamed.

Lilly...

Mikes eyes shot opened and when he did his entire body flexed with well defined muscular content that clearly was no there before. He shot off the ground and stretched, his entire body cracked, but in doing so electrical charges creeped along his body. He looked to see his friends, and then he saw Johns hand...he would never be able to use it normally again. He also saw Zad still out for the count for now... Gritting his teeth, he took a final look of his surroundings. He saw Jomar in a crumpled heap among shattered class at the opposite entrance up the wall, and then he saw a beast of a man approach him from the doors closest to him. Was he dragged out? His recent memories were foggy and clouded, but he did know one thing, and that was this man, this thing was the cause of all these problems.

Mike then took up his horse stance, Tae kwon do the first thing that came to his mind. "I don't know what the fuck you want, but you will pay for this!" Mike switched stances to a sideways attack, and then went to deliver a jumping round house...however that failed miserably as he launched himself into the air and onto the building of the bowling Ally..."What the hell?" He thought the electricity coming off of his body earlier was a hallucination, now he just jumped a good thirty feet? He pushed it aside and figured he would debunk this later. Right now he had some godly figure to fight. Stepping of the roof, to avoid another jumping mishap, Mike aimed to punch this guy in the face. His fist missed as Heracles side stepped and mike punched the ground, leaving an impact crater like one of a meteor. Dumbfounded, Mike stepped back from his work. "Wha, what am I?!?"

Heracles laughed a hearty laugh that replaced Mikes blood with cement, freezing him in place like a statue. "Come now dear brother, you are a being far beyond these pitiful humans. You are a son of Zeus, same with our other brother over there" He Gestured to Zadkeil. Mike did not beleive this, he could not beleive this, and yet as he stood their he felt an overwhelming surge of power. "Payback's still a bitch, Brother" And he flung his hands forward, a large blue sphere of energy surrounded his palms and from it he blasted of a bolt of lightning square into the chest of Heracles, blowing apart the chest armor and sending the man flying a good twenty feet. Mike did not bother to chase after the man, for he himself was still to confused. "Zad, his Zad okay? Someone get John to a hospital now! Lilly, is everyone else okay?

His breathing was heavy, his body still ached, he was just told he was a son of Zeus....a Demi-god...and the large Hulking behemoth was getting up from where he was blasted too... Could this get any worse? HE then quickly shoved his hand in his pocket and pulled out his new phone, not broken or scratched. A sigh of relief was released, as least one thing was unharmed.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by XxRedxX August 17th 2014, 9:07 pm

Zadkiel was starting to gain consciousness, but while he was out he was dreaming of a memory. His brother Michael and him being picked on for being different. It was almost like he was there again, the bigger bullies taking on the two smaller boys. They had each others back, and they could always depend on each other in those kinds of situations.

He could hear a voice suddenly, "Zad, his Zad okay? Someone get John to a hospital now! Lilly, is everyone else okay?" Zadkiel eyes opened to the darkness that was the night, only the parking lot lights lit up the area as he watched his brother, holding his phone and it seemed like he was dialing for help. "Whats..." Looking up he saw something coming down towards Michael, it was a behemoth of a man coming down with both fists locked. He had a grin on his face, and was obviously attacking his brother. Sitting up as quickly as possible, Zadkiel launched himself into the air and tackled Heracles into the top of the building and they both dropped.

Zad stumbled backward from the rubble they created, dazed and confused on what just happen. He looked back to see that his feet left creators were he had just jumped from. "How..." Suddenly Heracles socked Zadkiel across the jaw, sending him into the ground and letting out a loud crack as he hit the ground hard which crumbled from the impact.

"Now then..." Heracles stated, turning to look at Michael. "Hemitheos, brother, how is it that you have both the strength of Zeus and his control over Lightning?" Heracles was perplexed, never had any of the children of Zeus possessed both of his powers. It was either his strength or the lightning bolt. Shaking his head he chuckled, "No matter. we seem to have gotten off to the wrong foot. Come with me and i will spare your pet mortals."

Zadkiel pushed himself off the ground slowly, his vision blurry and body sore from both the strange transformation as well as the punch he just took. 'is this a dream?' He thought to himself, looking up to see Jomar laying still in the rain. Blood all around him as well as glass.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by Michael Carpenter August 18th 2014, 6:32 pm

Zakeil to the rescue. Just as Mike was looking at his phone, out came rampaging testosterone with a double fisted grand slam coming right for the poor boys face...and his poor phone. His brother, the one he liked, flung himself and pulled the assailant to the top of the roof, and took a blow to the jaw which sent him tumbling. Mike, without a running start, jumped on top of the building, almost over shooting it, but was up there none the less. His feet cracked the roof, damn he needed to get used to this. Looking over to Zadkeil "You all right man?" As long as the two of them were together, they could do this. They always could tackle anything together...even if they were tackling one of the worlds greatest Fictional historic icons of strength and heroism.

By now, Mike was in full gear. He no longer felt groggy, in fact, he felt strength and energy like he never did before. His mind was racing, he took in what was just said. Your Pet humans. Okay, he was not human, check. Neither was Zad apparently he also used some super strength to get up here. Check. This guy called them brother, so he must also be a son of Zeus...was it the Zeus of Greek legend? They were real!?! The titan-man-giant-behemoth Guy then called Mike Hēmitheos...The name seemed to fit, as if that was supposed to be his real name over Michael. Finally one last thing struck his mind. "how is it that you have both the strength of Zeus and his control over Lightning?" If he was shocked to see both, that means Heracles here only had strength. Thanks for the tip asshole.

But here was the other issue. Mike just got his strength, there was no way he was a match for Hercules... but he can still move him. Hercules, even is he weighed 500 pounds, With the strength Mike had he knew he could send this guy flying, even if he cant hurt him. All right, he was getting somewhere with this, but what should he do? If he goes with, he said Lilly and the rest would be safe...he already mangled John's hand and Jomar was still crumpled. "You come here and cause this much damage and pain and think we got off on the wrong foot, insult these people, and then make demands of us? Who the fuck do you think you are!?!"

Anger, pain, rage, clarity, all of these rain through his veins. This power seemingly welling up into a cascade of energy around his arms. Mike then raised his arms to the sky "Leave or die!" and and with that the lightning reached for the sky. Why? Because electricity is charged particles, and when power is given, power circulates. just like in wiring. Pulling his arms in a downward motion, he redirected the lightning from the sky to hopefully strike this mother fucker in the head. Would it kill him? If this man was human. Who new what a meta human, a demigod, or what ever this thing was would be able to handle.

Lightning from the sky cascaded down towards Heracles, who unsheathed his sword and watched as the bolt of electricity hit its broken blade. Its handle wrapped in a nonconducting material it simply absorbed the energy super heating the blade until it became bright red from the heat and its integrity compromised. heracles simply grinned at Michael. "You are both coming with..." Suddenly from behind Zadkiel wrapped his arms around Heracles and locked his hands together. "...Wha- Alexios, let go of me!" Heracles started to flex trying to bring his arms apart, Zadkiel held on with all his might but was losing his hold over him. The strength they had all of the sudden, it was inhuman and their only chance at surviving this but Heracles was drastically stronger than them.

"Throw us!" Zadkiel called out to Michael as his grip grew weaker and weaker. "Do it now!" Zadkiel had no idea why the man had called him Alexios, if he was truly his brother than that meant Zeus was his father and it may have been his intended name but to him his name is and always will be Zadkiel, the name Mother Marabeth gave him.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by Michael Carpenter August 23rd 2014, 3:59 pm

Really? Mike uses science to amplify a bolt of bad assery, and the the asshole pulls out a fucking sword and trolls him...Yeah, I guess that is luck. Meanwhile, Zad, or Alexios, the good brother lept up and tried to hold Heracles. Zad then said to throw them. Two things were not going through Michael s mind. The first one, a highly inappropriate comic relief, was that Heracles was to big to really move his arms in a way to get out of Zads grip despite the clear strength difference. It was the same type of humor as one looking at a T- rex trying to jump rope meme on the internet. The second thought, the most important of the two, was where the hell was he supposed to throw them?

Cops started to shop up, as well as ambulances and some un needed fire trucks. A set of Medics ran over to Jomar, and another was already looking at John's hand. Someone across the street must have seen the fight going on because none of them had service or time to make such a call. This made it worse. Not only did Mike become a super powered freak in a matter of minutes, there were some under budgeted people with half assed training and shiny badges that now would get to see a tri-fecta of demigod meta people duking it out on top of a poor bowling ally that did not deserve such damages. Well, here goes nothing... Nothing, like the amount of ideas going through his mind.

She he charged. Running up to the group he effortlessly lifted both men over his head. The lightness of this almost disturbed him. Focusing one more he threw both men like a spear as hard as he could towards to woods an easy football field away. He looked over the edge of the roof one last time, and saw John being closed in the back, Nate was at his side. The rest of their friends were being corralled towards the vehicles... the car. Mike was would be sure to get the car, which had thus far been untouched by anything more than rain. Poor baby needed a bath to prevent streaks. Jomar could not be seen, to many people crowded around. The last thing Mike saw though, and the saddest, were the eyes of Lily. She had managed to break past the police barricade to give one last long look.

She mouthed a few words which could not be heard over the hustle and bustle of emergency personnel and the raging storm. Despite the fierce rain pouring from the heavens, a single tear could be seen being shed from the eyes of this poor soul. "I'll be back, I swear." I'll come back...I promise... With one finally heart wrenching stare, he turned away and jumped with all the force he had, fracturing the roof once again with the shear force of his new power. He landed about eighty feet away and jumped once more. He would proceed to moon walk/speed jump/fast motionly travel to get back to the men he flung. "Once he got closer "Lets finish this!" Came out like a roar, followed by the sound of raging thunder from the skies, as if the world itself agreed that it was time.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by XxRedxX August 24th 2014, 4:34 pm

Michael had successfully thrown the two men across the town. They landed inside the high school football field, both tumbling until Zadkiel was thrown from Heracles a few feet. The stadium lighting was off but flashes of lightning lit up the sky as well as the field. Meanwhile, just as Michael left the seen to go aid his brother, three elderly woman appeared among everyone at the scene. They held their hands up toward the sky and everyone conscious suddenly fainted only to awaken a few minutes later, their memories erased about what happened and replaced by that of a horrific storm causing all these damages.

Back on the field Heracles had just about had enough with his defiant brothers. "I've had enough of this. The fun is over. You are coming to Mount Olympus to join our army. NOW SURRENDER!"

"Let's finish this!" Came a scream from Michael, landing within the field on the other side of Heracles.

"It'll be my pleasure to teach you what it means to defy our father and then, when you are beaten, i shall destroy your mortal tethers!" Heracles prepared himself to grapple with the two young men but suddenly in a flash a light three old woman appeared. "Enough Heracles!" The three spoke in perfect unison, and Heracles immediately yielded to them. "Morai, forgive me."

"You and your father acted in foolish haste. These two are not yet ready to join our ranks and the more you fight the more you jeopardize the future." The Morai gave of a strong presence, one that someone as mighty as Heracles trembled before. The Morai looked at the Carpenters, it was plain to see that the three elderly woman despised them for some reason.

"We shall wipe their memories." The three old woman raised their hands and again a flash erupted from their palms but it would have no effect on the Carpenters. Angered, the Morai disappeared and reappeared at Heracles. "We must return to Olympus and have an audience with your father." Before anything else could happen the four suddenly disappeared, and moments later the storm began to clear and the stadium lighting turned on.

Zadkiel looked at his hands, and then looked over himself. His clothes were torn, his heart was pounding and he felt like he was going insane. "Michael, what the hell just happened?" His memory wasn't erased, neither would Michael's but they had just gotten super powers, battled against greek myths and seemingly won for the time being.  In just an hour they had transformed from normal, average, everyday men into something else. Demigods? No, Metahumans, powerful powerful metahumans.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by Michael Carpenter August 24th 2014, 6:12 pm

Three old ladies show up, the sky lights up, people fall to the ground. Got it, same ladies tell heraclese to stop being a dick, got it, these ladies are epic. Ladies say they are ganna wipe the brothers memories and fail, not so epic. They then took the Greek Hero away, back to Zeus, and the storm was now gone. So apparently Mike and Zad were not ready? HE was pretty sure that this little dispaly made them ready...but if they were not...he would hate to see what they would be facing when they were. Zad then took a look at himself and asked Michael what the hell happened. With a look of amusement Mike said "I just went through the same shit, you really think I know? From what I gathered, we are now two super powered freaks dealing with the Greek pantheon and have an entire army that wants us to join them. To sum it up, you and me against the ancient Greek world." That really did not make him feel better at all.

A haunting look danced across his face "We have other issues to, the car,Lilly, John, Jomar, the rest of the gang, Scooby and shaggy too..." Probably a bad time for a joke, at least he listed the car as first on the list. "If those ladies wiped their memories, that means they have no idea what really happened, or the things that were said." That last comment was mainly aimed about Lilly, maybe they would get a chance encounter later. "So I guess our next step is to get on back, see how damage control is? Then it is time...we really do need to leave now." His heart sank and the sudden realization that their home was no longer home. They needed to leave or who knows what will happen next. As long as they were targets...they could not stay here. "Shall we go say the final goodbys?" Mike was also wondering if they can lightning proof the car.

Stretching just like he did before his throws at bowling, Mike got into a track runners stance...well...a half assed version as he was never a track star. "Might as well get used to these powers right? Its not like they are going anywhere." Mike attempted to start off running like a human, it felt so wrong, so incorrect. Slowly he began to shift his weight, he launched about ten feet from the force of his strides. He was learning how to leak the strength in, all right. Lets see what happens when he holds nothing back. "WOO HOO!" HE shouted as he let it go all at once and he launched himself almost eighty feet in the air, and he was now frightened beyond all reason. "HOOOOLLLY SHHHHIIIIT!" Were the next things to come out of his mouth as he landed, not so stylishly, and ended up leaving an impact crater in the wooded area. A second leap, this one way more controlled, he managed to land without such force, and soon enough he was back at the bowling Ally, on the roof. The lights were back on all over the city, the night sky was clear, no storm clouds in sight. The car was in piece and not towed. 'Hurry up Zad' thought Mike, I do not want to do this alone.

Chapter 1: Revelation Empty Re: Chapter 1: Revelation

Post by XxRedxX August 24th 2014, 8:56 pm

Zadkiel landed right behind Michael on the roof top, the paramedics and police already cleared out. Cordons were set up to keep people away from the damage of the building. Nobody was left there except for their car. "Their memories got wiped, which means they don't know about our abilities." Zadkiel walked up to the edge of the building, nobody was around to see anything. "...That might be for the best." Zadkiel dropped off the roof and landed silently in the shadows before emerging into the light. The car was unscathed though it would probably need a good washing after all the rain and dust kicked up by the storm. "Heracles threatened to kill everyone, our 'mortal' ties severed. We can't leave, not yet. He could come back, finish what he started with the others." Zadkiel Clenched his fists, and they shook with anger until he took a deep breath, calming himself down.

"Jomar, and John!" He suddenly exclaimed, "We need to get to the hospital hope you still have the keys." Zadkiel slide across the hood of their car and opened the passenger side door looking up to Michael. "We have to keep our powers secret, for now...at least until we know more." Zadkiel got into the car and shut the door slowly, one thing was for sure and that was that he wouldn't let his new found power destroy their sweet ride.
