Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Shelly Rosenthal
Philosopher, philanthropist, Sin Against God and Nature
Basic Biography |
Real Name: Shelly Rosenthal Renegade/Hero/Villain Name: Title: Alignment: Neutral Good Age: 227 Gender: Female Race: Flesh Golem Hair: Dark Strawberry Blonde Eyes: Brown Height: 7'9'' Weight: 138 kg Blood type: Expired |
The Looks |
Shelly finds it hard not to stand out in a crowd, standing at nearly 8 feet tall. Thick sutures run tracks around her body, keeping different sizes of pale skin held together. A perfect circle of stitches and staples hold her scalp firmly on her head, hidden behind short dark strawberry blonde hair. Despite her grotesque nature, her face itself is not offensive to most tastes. Made from a single stretch of skin, her large brown eyes sit above a petite nose and soft lips. In order to hide her Frankenstein body she dresses modestly, almost always wearing gloves and usually a large lab or trench coat. |
The Legacy |
Personality: Shelly's personality is restrained, out of necessity. Not only can a loss of temper result in a destruction-filled rage, but even minute tasks like opening a door without crushing the doorknob require extreme control. Despite this she is normally very friendly, and harbors a desire to help all those she is able to. she is accustomed to people fearing her, and generally tries to stay out of the public eye. Despite all her efforts to keep her anger issues under control, if adequately provoked she will fly into a blinding rage until the source of her agitation has been crushed. History: Shelly was "born" in 1793, in a lavish castle nestled in the Odenwald mountains sufficiently far from civilization. The castle's then primary resident, Victor Rosenthal, used his knowledge of alchemy and anatomy to piece together a grotesque golem from various bodies of what he considered beautiful women who had suffered early and non-violent deaths in the area. After supplying the golem with all proper human organs, a unique solution was pumped through its veins. Activated by a surge of electricity, this solution brought the anomoly to life. In its first moments the creature learned that Victor was its father. Unfortunately it learned little else, after greeting its lifebringer with a hug that crushed his spine. This creature would become Shelly Rosenthal. After mourning her father's death, she explored the now empty castle. Victor kept extensive notes and records, and the creature learned much quickly. It took the name Shelly Rosenthal, naming herself for her father and his long-deceased wife. She was determined to use the knowledge written in various forms in the castle to revive the father she had murdered, but her hands were too strong and clumsy to handle the delicate instruments required. she eventually found a map that indicated a town a mere ten miles away at the foot of the mountains. She took her father's now rotting body there, walking the stretch, in hopes of finding help. Unfortunately she was greeted with curses against her and her father. When the townspeople burnt her father's body she flew into a rage that took the life of nearly every inhabitant of the small town. Those that escaped spread the word of the horrible creature, and by the time she returned to the castle she called home it was a burnt-out husk. She spent the next several years in hiding from those that sought to hunt her down, but eventually she all but faded from the collective memory of the country and was relegated to the realm of myths and ghost stories. She learned to live alongside the humans, though she would never be able to live with them, and filled her lonely days with reading and learning. by the 19th century she had become a competent doctor, and opened small practices in impoverished regions where she helped downtrodden locals with free medical care, and occasionally by directing her rage towards those that deserved it. By the 20th century metahumans had become more commonplace, and it became easier for Shelly to integrate with society. Her considerable intellect seemed only to grow exponentially over time, and by now there were many groups willing to overlook her odd appearance and behaviors in consideration of the genius contributions she made to medical technology. Shelly is now the head of a major U.S.-based medical technology company, though she never makes personal appearances. Still wary of the public eye, she leaves the business decision to a board of directors and prefers to contribute with groundbreaking research while running doctor's offices in third-world countries. She also publishes books of philosophy under several pseudonyms (As well as one critically-acclaimed self-help book on anger management.), some of which have seen commercial success. All of this brings a lot of steady income for Shelly, who uses it to pay for her medical practice. She doesn't consider herself a super hero and prefers to help with words and medicine rather than her strength, but has inevitably found herself mixed up in many dangerous situations throughout the years. She can never say no to someone asking for help, so she will no doubt be involved in many fantastic adventures yet to come. |
The Powers |
Power 1: Super Strength Shelly has strength far beyond that of humans, so much so that it takes extreme self-control not to break everything she touches. Power 2: Inhuman Durability It's hard to kill what's already dead, especially when they have bones reinforced with metal alloy. Shelly might lose a limb or two and occasionally her head, but only the most determined can inflict lasting damage on her body. Power 3: Undead Properties Shelly's head and limbs are perfectly capable of functioning without being attached to her body, and retain normal functionality once re-attached. Shelly can control any body part that is close enough to her head. If separated from her head her body will autonomously wander in search of it but will take no other action except to defend itself and has no intelligence to speak of. Power 4: Mad Sewing Skills She is just like, super good at sewing you guys. Grid Intelligence: 6 Strength: 8 Speed: 2 Durability: 8 Ability: 2 Fighting Skills: 4 Magic: 0 Spells: 0 Flight: 0 Wealth: 2 |

Re: Shelly Rosenthal
I'm guessing the two ability is for the Undead Properties?
You've spent 31/30 points.
You are only eligible for 1 wealth; not 2; unless you unspend a point from the rest of your grid. Be sure to read the bit about wealth in the stat equivalents page.

Re: Shelly Rosenthal
The answer to your first question is Yes.
In regards to the second thing, rest assured I did all the required reading including the bit about wealth. Specifically this bit:

....and was also told by a staff member that this was perfectly fine. The requested change has been made for simplicity's sake anyway. You can have to 2 points of additional wealth, as well as your initial points. But, only if you pay for those two additional wealth points first thing. Meaning, you'll be in debt 20 XP until you buy the first to wealth points.

Re: Shelly Rosenthal
Boop. My bad.
This character is APPROVED!
But at the price and sad cost of being in debt 10 whopping experience points for an additional point in wealth!
